Alola League Final Round
In Ed's family's hotel room, Ed was sitting on the couch, trembling with excitement; his mother and father each sat next to him.
"I'm going to the finals." said Ed.
"We are so proud of you, son." said Ed and Sarah's father.
"You think you'll win?" asked Sarah.
"I don't know; Eddy is a great trainer." replied Ed. "He won the Lily of the Valley conference."
"Well, no matter what happens, your mother and I will always be proud of you." said Ed and Sarah's mother.
"Now go to bed, Ed; you'll need your rest for tomorrow." said Ed and Sarah's father.
"Okay, Dad." said Ed. He gets up and walks to his bedroom.
Inside Eddy's family's hotel room, his parents were talking with him about what happened earlier.
"I can't believe that our son could do that." said Eddy's father, referring to his older son.
"Really, Dad?" Eddy replied.
"I suppose you got a point there." said Eddy's father.
"But forget about what happened, Eddy; you have a finals match to focus on." said Eddy's mother.
"Yeah, Ed is a tough trainer." said Eddy. "And even if I don't win, seeing bro get pepper sprayed and arrested is something I can take from this tournament."
"Hope your brother learns a thing or two about responsibility." said Eddy's mother.
"But he should look on the plus side; he gets a free room and free food." said Eddy.
"Let's just get some sleep." said Eddy's father.
"Yeah, I'll need it." said Eddy before he and his parents go to their bedrooms and go to bed.
The next morning, the Eds' and Jimmy's families were in the hotel restaurant having breakfast before Ed and Eddy's finals match.
"Today's going to be intense." said Eddy.
"Indeed." said Edd.
"It's going to be so cool!" said Ed.
"And give it your all, son." Ed's father says to him.
"Yeah, I don't want you going easy on me." said Eddy.
"Okay, Eddy; and don't you go easy on me." said Ed.
"I won't." said Eddy. "I didn't go easy on bro."
"Well, that fathead had it coming." said Sarah.
"He was a jerk." said Jimmy.
"I'll say." said Maxiley. "Still can't believe he's related to you, Eddy."
"That makes a lot of us." Eddy's father replied, getting nods from everyone else.
"Glad we won't be seeing that loser for at least ten years." said Eddy.
After everyone finishes their meals, they all head to Manalo Stadium for Ed and Eddy's finals match.
Soon, the arena bleachers were all packed; with Edd, his parents, Ed and Eddy's parents, Sarah, Jimmy and his parents, along with Maxiley, Lillie, Mallow, and Tanya; all having front row seats.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" the announcer said. "Welcome to the finals of the first Alola League tournament! Our match will surely be one to see; it's Ed vs. Eddy!"
Ed then soon comes out of one of the tunnels, to the cheers of everyone in the stadium.
"Our first finalist, from Peach Creek, USA; Ed!" said the announcer.
"You can do it, son!" said Ed's father.
"Do your best!" said Ed's mother.
"Go, big brother!" said Sarah. Mallow smiles before she blows Ed a kiss, making him smile goofily with a blush on his face.
Soon, Eddy came out of the adjacent tunnel, also to the cheers of everyone in the audience.
"And also coming from Peach Creek, USA; the Lily of the Valley Conference champion, Eddy!" said the announcer.
"Give it your all, Eddy!" said Eddy's father.
"Show us your nothing at all like your brother!" said Eddy's mother.
"I assure you that he is nothing like that scoundrel." said Edd.
"I concur." said Edd's father. Tanya blows a kiss to Eddy who catches it and puts it on his lips before winking at his girlfriend.
The two finalists meet at the center of the arena and shake hands.
"Like I promised at breakfast, I won't go easy on you, Ed." said Eddy.
"I'm gonna do my best, Eddy." said Ed.
An official walk out to the center of the battlefield and in between the two Eds.
"This Manalo Conference final round is between Ed and Eddy." said the official. "Each trainer will each use three Pokemon. Whoever defeats all their opponent's Pokemon first will be the champion. Let the finals begin." Ed and Eddy walk to opposite ends of the arena and they each pull out a pokeball.
"Let's go, Gigalith!" said Ed, throwing Gigalith's pokeball, and releasing him.
"Ed's first Pokemon is a Gigalith; what will Eddy bring out first?" asked the announcer.
"Poliwrath, come out!" said Eddy, throwing Poliwrath's pokeball, and releasing him.
"And Eddy has brought out his Poliwrath, the very Pokemon he used to defeat both of his brother's Pokemon!" said the announcer.
"Yeah; he creamed that jerk's Pokemon!" said a boy in the audience. Back on the arena, Gigalith and Poliwrath faced each other.
"Poliwrath, use Mud Shot!" said Eddy. Poliwrath forms a ball of mud between his hands, and he throws it at Gigalith, hitting him, and dealing super effective damage, as well as lowering Gigalith's speed.
"Gigalith, use Headbutt!" said Ed. Gigalith leaps at Poliwrath and rams his head into him, dealing damage, and making Poliwrath flinch. "Now use Rock Slide!" Large gray boulders form around Gigalith and he launches them at Poliwrath, hitting him, and doing moderate damage due to Gigalith's Hard Stone powering up his rock type moves.
"Poliwrath, use Brick Break!" said Eddy. Poliwrath leaps at Gigalith with an arm raised.
"Gigalith, use Iron Defense!" said Ed. Gigalith becomes surrounded by light blue light and his defense increases before Poliwrath karate chops him, dealing super effective damage. "Now use Mud-Slap!" Gigalith sprays a stream of mud from his face, and it hits Poliwrath, dealing damage, and lowering Poliwrath's accuracy.
"Poliwrath, use Bubble Beam!" said Eddy. Poliwrath releases a beam of glowing bubbles from his torso, and it hits Gigalith, dealing super effective damage.
"Gigalith, use Stone Edge!" said Ed. Gigalith slams his feet onto the ground; light blue rock pillars appear out of the ground towards Poliwrath and lands a critical hit.
"Poliwrath, use Dynamic Punch!" said Eddy. Poliwrath leaps at Gigalith while white energy surrounded his fist and he punches Gigalith, dealing super effective damage, and knocking Gigalith out.
"Gigalith is unable to battle. Poliwrath wins the match." said the official.
"Eddy's Poliwrath has beaten Ed's Gigalith; what will Ed bring out next?" asked the announcer.
"Way to go, son!" said Eddy's father.
"Don't worry, Ed; you can turn this around!" said Ed's father.
"Don't give up!" said Sarah. Ed nods before returning Gigalith to his pokeball.
"You were great, Gigalith." said Ed. He puts Gigalith's pokeball away and pulls out a Dive Ball. "Dewgong, go!" He throws Dewgong's Dive Ball and releases her.
"Ed's second Pokemon is his Dewgong!" said the announcer.
"Dewgong, use Headbutt!" said Ed. Dewgong leaps at Poliwrath and rams her head into him, dealing damage, and making Poliwrath flinch. "Now use Sheer Cold!" Dewgong becomes surrounded by a light blue aura; she releases a powerful light blue beam of energy with light blue sparkles in it and it hits Poliwrath; he falls to the ground, unconscious.
"Poliwrath is unable to battle. Dewgong wins the match." said the official.
"Ed's Dewgong has defeated Eddy's Poliwrath; now both trainers are down to two Pokemon!" said the announcer.
"That's my boy!" said Ed's father.
"You're doing good, Ed!" said Ed's mother.
"Keep it up, Ed!" said Sarah.
"Don't be like your brother, son!" said Eddy's father.
"Keep on battling!" said Eddy's mother. Eddy nods before returning Poliwrath to his pokeball.
"You were great, pal." said Eddy. He puts Poliwrath's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Vikavolt, go!" He throws Vikavolt's pokeball and releases him.
"Eddy's next Pokemon is a Vikavolt!" said the announcer.
"Okay, Vikavolt; use Charge!" said Eddy. His Vikavolt starts gathering electricity into his body, increasing his special defense.
"Dewgong, use Headbutt!" said Ed. His Dewgong moves towards Vikavolt and rams into him, dealing damage, and making him flinch. "Now use Ice Beam!" His Dewgong releases a beam of ice energy that hits Vikavolt and encases him in ice.
"And Vikavolt is frozen!" said the announcer. "What will Eddy do now?!"
"A little ice won't stop us! Right, pal?" Eddy asked. His Vikavolt, hearing his trainer, gathers his energy and breaks free of his icy prison.
"Whoa!" said Maxiley.
"Vikavolt, use Spark!" said Eddy. His Vikavolt's body becomes covered in electricity as he flies at Dewgong and rams her, dealing super effective damage; she suddenly starts to twitch.
"And it looks like Dewgong's paralyzed!" said the announcer.
"Break free, Dewgong!" said Ed. His Dewgong uses her inner strength to dispel her paralysis.
"The bond between a trainer and their Pokemon is a truly remarkable thing." said Edd.
"Dewgong, use Aqua Tail!" said Ed. His Dewgong swings her tail, that was covered in water, and hits Vikavolt, driving him into the stadium floor; he struggles to get up.
"Vikavolt, use Zap Cannon!" said Eddy. His Vikavolt forms a ball of green electricity between his mandibles and launches it at Dewgong, hitting her, dealing super effective damage, and knocking her out.
"Dewgong is unable to battle. Vikavolt is the winner." said the official.
"And Eddy has defeated another of Ed's Pokemon!" said the announcer. "If Eddy defeats Ed's last Pokemon, he'll be the first Alola League champion!"
"Keep it up, pal!" Eddy says to his Vikavolt. Ed returns his Dewgong to her pokeball.
"You did good, Dewgong." said Ed. He puts Dewgong's pokeball back on his waist and pulls off his last one.
"What will Ed's last Pokemon be?" asked the announcer.
"Let's go, Decidueye!" said Ed as he tosses his pokeball, releasing his first Pokemon.
"And Ed brings out his Decidueye!" said the announcer.
"Okay, Decidueye, use Spirit Shackle!" said Ed. His Decidueye pulls a feather from his wing that becomes covered in a dark energy at the tip of it; he fires it at Vikavolt and lands in front of him and explodes into purple fire, dealing enough damage to knock him out.
"Vikavolt is unable to battle. Decidueye is the winner." said the official.
"And Ed's Decidueye defeats Eddy's Vikavolt!" said the announcer. "Now both trainers are down to one Pokemon each! What will Eddy's final Pokemon be?"
"You can do it, Ed!" said Ed's father.
"Don't give up, son!" said Eddy's father. Eddy returns his Vikavolt to his pokeball.
"You were great, pal." said Eddy. He puts Vikavolt's pokeball back on his waist and pulls off his last one; he tosses it, releasing his Incineroar.
"And Eddy's last Pokemon is an Incineroar!" said the announcer. "Will it be able to beat Ed's Decidueye?!"
"Eddy's Incineroar has two advantages over Ed's Decidueye." said Edd.
"Ed could still win!" said Sarah.
"We'll just have to see what happens." said Maxiley.
"Decidueye, use Pluck!" said Ed. His Decidueye flies at Incineroar as his beak glowed white and jabs him with it.
"Incineroar, use Flamethrower!" said Eddy. Incineroar releases a stream of fire from his belt that hits Decidueye, dealing super effective damage.
"Decidueye, use Astonish!" said Ed. His Decidueye turns his back to Incineroar, then turns back around with a spooky face, startling his opponent and making him fall backwards, not doing much damage,but making Incineroar flinch. "Now use Brave Bird!" His Decidueye flies up as an intense blue aura covers his body; he comes down and slams into Incineroar, dealing damage; Decidueye flinches from the recoil damage. "I'm sorry, Decidueye." His Pokemon looks back at him and nods in understanding.
"Incineroar, use Darkest Lariat!" said Eddy. His Incineroar spins as he moves towards Decidueye while his claws were covered in dark energy; he slashes his opponent, dealing super effective damage; a green aura flares up from Decidueye.
"That's Decidueye's Overgrow ability!" said Jimmy.
"Decidueye, use Leaf Blade!" said Ed. Decidueye flies at Incineroar while the edge of one of his wing arms glowed green and he slashes Incineroar with it, landing a critical hit, and knocking Incineroar back.
"Hey, Ed; are you thinking what I'm thinking?" asked Eddy, holding up his Z-Ring and putting his Incinium-Z Crystal into it. Ed smiles and nods before holding up his Z-Ring and putting his Decidium-Z Crystal into it. Ed begins doing poses; streams of energy come out of his body and into Decidueye, making the Z-Power symbol appear in front of him. Eddy does poses as well and streams of energy comes out of his body and onto Incineroar, making the Z-Power symbol appear in front of him.
"Decidueye; Sinister Arrow Raid!" said Ed. Decidueye flies up into the sky and an arc of arrows appear around his body; he flies towards Incineroar and he flies past him while the arrows hit him, making an explosion that covers him.
"Did he win?" asked Sarah. The smoke from the explosion cleared, revealing Incineroar, battered, but still conscious.
"Incineroar; Malicious Moonsault!" said Eddy. Incineroar jumps up into the air above the airborne Decidueye while surrounded by fire; he falls towards Decidueye and slams into him, bringing both Pokemon onto the ground, creating a large explosion. Ed and Eddy stood there, not budging from the explosion; when the smoke from the explosion cleared, Incineroar was standing, breathing heavily while Decidueye was on the ground with swirly eyes.
"Decidueye is unable to battle. Incineroar wins the match. The winner...and the first Alola Region champion is Eddy!" said the official.
"IT'S OVER! AFTER AN INTENSE BATTLE, EDDY HAS DEFEATED ED TO BECOME THE FIRST ALOLA REGION CHAMPION!" said the announcer. Everyone in the audience roared with applause.
"WE DID IT!" cheered Eddy.
"Way to so, son!" said Eddy's father.
"That was incredible!" said Maxiley.
"I am so very proud of him." said Eddy's mother.
"I love you, Eddy!" said Tanya.
"We're still proud of you, Ed!" said Ed's father.
"Second place is nothing to be ashamed of." said Ed's mother.
"I still love you, Ed!" said Mallow.
"I'm not ashamed of being second place, big brother!" said Sarah.
Meanwhile, at the police station in Hau'oli City, Eddy's brother was watching the match on a portable televison that was on a desk near the holding cell he was in with a red head, bloodshot eyes and clenched teeth.
"That should have been me!" yelled Eddy's brother.
"Hey! Quiet down in there!" said a police officer.
Back at Manalo Stadium, Ed walks to Decidueye who was waking up.
"You were great, Decidueye." said Ed; Decidueye weakly nods in response. Ed looks to see Eddy and Incineroar walking over to them.
"That was a great battle, Ed." said Eddy.
"It sure was, Eddy." replied Ed. He takes out his pokedollars and Eddy takes half of it. Eddy suddenly feels a pair of arms wrap around his shoulders; he looks to see Tanya and he blushes.
"Alola, Eddy." said Tanya, nuzzling Eddy's cheek.
"A-Alola, Tanya." replied Eddy.
"Congratulations on winning the Alola League." said Tanya.
"Thanks, Tanya." replied Eddy.
"Come back later for the award ceremony which will take place in one hour!" said the announcer.
Later, everyone was at a restaurant, having a celebratory lunch for the Eds.
"Two-time champion, son." Eddy's father says to him.
"Yep." said Eddy as Tanya sits next to him kissing him on the cheek.
"You did well yourself, son." Ed's father says to his son.
"Thanks, Dad." said Ed as Mallow sits next to him. Double-D and Lillie also sat next to one another.
"Here's to our sons." said Eddy's father as he raises a glass.
"Here, here." said Ed's father as he does the same thing, followed by everyone else.
Later, in the center of the stadium's battle arena; three pedestals were set out. On the shortest one was Edd, holding a bronze column trophy with a conch shell on it. On the second tallest one was Ed, holding a taller, silver trophy with a conch shell on it. And on the tallest one was Eddy, holding a large, gold trophy with a conch shell on it.
"Here are your top three trainers for the Manalo Conference tournament; the Eds!" said the announcer.
"They're so cool!" said a boy.
"And so strong!" said another boy. The Eds look around at their fans cheering for them with smiles on their faces.
"What do you think the future holds for us, gentlemen?" Edd asked his friends. Eddy thinks for a bit before he makes a decision.
