Robert had ordered them room service before he went to grab a quick shower, wanting to give Holly and Sasha time to catch up while he was at it.
Holly sat down on the other side of the couch. "How are you doing? I mean really?"
Sasha knew her mother could sense her worry. "I'm so scared. I haven't admitted it to many but mother I'm afraid what happened to Liam will happen to this baby."
Holly moved over closer to her and took her hand. "You mustn't think like that. When I lost my first child, I was so heartbroken, I still am about it, but look at my beautiful, smart daughter I had after a brilliant, handsome son. Sometimes things like that happen. It's not fair, but it's not the end."
Sasha hadn't heard about her losing the baby. "You were pregnant before Ethan?"
Holly nodded. "It's actually why your father married me, I was pregnant by Luke. Luke was presumed dead and I was going to be deported. Your father did everything in the world to try to prevent that."
Sasha had never heard this story, she always wanted to hear about her father but Holly was keeping it a secret. "Including marry you?"
Holly's smiled showed how much love she had for Robert. He was her world in every way. "Yes and we were friends at first, trying to navigate life together as a for show only married couple."
"When did it change?" Sasha asked her, she was fascinated.
"I can't really pin point an exact moment. There were a lot of little moments. He was the only reason I got through losing your older sibling. The only reason I kept on living. If I hadn't I wouldn't have you and I know I've not always been the best mother but..." Holly was unable to finish as Sasha stopped her.
"You're trying. I think going through this is making me see the sacrifices you had to make and you hid it from everyone but Nonna. It had to be scary." Sasha told her mother.
"It was but I wanted to protect you, I love your father so much and you are piece of both of us. I never planned on getting pregnant but when I thought I lost him you were the reason I could go on. Just knowing that a piece of us existed." Holly squeezed Sasha's hand.
"You know Felicia told me that you were so broken after Robert died. I get it, when I lost Brando it nearly destroyed me. I wanted to call you so bad. I was still reeling from Liam's death." Sasha was trying to hold it together. "I realized that you weren't able to though. I never connected your kidnapping..."
"I would have tried to reach out had I been able to, I would have never wanted you to go through that alone." Holly told her, still holding her hand. "Maybe one day you can tell me about them both?"
Sasha smiled, remembering the sweet husband and baby boy she had. "I would like that. I even have some pictures."
"I would love to see them. I will have to get some photos of your father and I to show you. I actually gave him one of your school pictures for Valentine's Day." Holly told Sasha, wanting her to know she was always a part of them.
"You did? How did he react?" Sasha asked. Having a dad was still so new to her.
"He absolutely loved it. Wanted to hear stories about you. He loves being your father, I will always regret keeping that from you both." Holly sincerely told her daughter.
"I'm just glad I get to know him now and get to spend time with my mother again." Sasha wanted so bad to reconnect and connect with both of her parents.
"I would love that more than anything in this world." Holly gave Sasha a hug, grateful she was getting her daughter back in her life after all these years.
