Chapter 15: The Nexus Awakens
Daza's Dark Alliance
Deep within the Underworld, Daza seethed with fury, his hands clenching and unclenching in frustration. His failure to eliminate the Halliwells continued to gnaw at him, and his thirst for vengeance consumed every thought.
"I will burn that family to ash," he hissed, his voice reverberating through the cavernous space.
From the shadows, a voice—cold and calculating—interrupted his rage. "You'll need more than brute force to achieve that."
Daza whirled, his eyes narrowing as Inara stepped into the dim light. Her presence radiated dark power, and a chilling smile tugged at her lips.
"What do you want?" Daza growled, unease flickering beneath his defiance.
Inara's smile widened, a sinister gleam in her eyes. "I want the same thing you do—the Halliwells' destruction. But unlike you, I know how to make it happen."
Before Daza could respond, Inara raised her hand, and dark energy swirled around her fingers.
"There are Nexuses scattered across the world—places of immense magical power," she explained. "I've already begun to harness them, sowing chaos to weaken the mortal realm. But one special Nexus lies beneath the Halliwell Manor. To unlock it, I need you to breach their defenses."
Daza raised an eyebrow. "And what's in it for me?"
"Power beyond your wildest imagination," Inara promised, stepping closer. "I will grant you the strength to tear them apart. Once their power is gone, you will rule beside me."
Daza hesitated for only a moment before nodding. "Make me stronger."
With a cold, calculating gesture, Inara placed her hand on his chest. Dark magic surged into Daza, amplifying his strength tenfold.
"Go," she ordered, her voice dripping with malice. "Destroy the Halliwells. Unleash the Nexus beneath their manor. The Power of Three will be no more."
Chaos in the Mortal World
Far from the Underworld, Inara's dark plan began to take root. The Nexuses she had corrupted erupted with dark energy, triggering cataclysmic events across the globe.
Tsunamis ravaged coastal cities, leaving nothing but devastation in their wake. Volcanic eruptions blotted out the sky, suffocating entire regions. Once-lush forests withered, turning into blackened husks.
The human world descended into chaos, darkness creeping across the skies, blotting out the sun. Despair and panic gripped the hearts of mortals as their cries echoed through the ravaged landscape.
Meanwhile Gregory's Visit
At the Halliwell Manor, Gregory, Grams' former Whitelighter, delivered grim news to the sisters and their family.
"Gideon has attacked the Upper Plane," Gregory began, his voice heavy with sorrow. "Many Whitelighters and elders have been slain. Galen, the last high-ranking elder, has sealed the Upper Plane to prevent further attacks. There's no longer any way to communicate with it."
The room fell silent as the weight of his words settled in.
Gregory continued, "Before the Power of Three is lost forever, I must bind the Whitelighter halves of the children. This will protect them from being targeted, but in time, they will regain their powers."
Reluctantly, the sisters agreed. Gregory performed the binding ritual, one by one, and the children glowed with a faint light as their Whitelighter essence was sealed.
As the ritual concluded, Gregory handed Phoebe a scroll. "This is the deed to Magic School. It now belongs to your family."
Phoebe accepted the scroll, trembling. "Thank you, Gregory," she whispered.
Before the family could fully process this new information, a sudden crash reverberated through the manor.
Daza's Attack
The front door of the manor exploded inward as Daza stormed in, his enhanced power radiating from him in waves.
"Come out, witches!" he bellowed, his voice shaking the walls.
Piper, Paige, and Phoebe quickly sprang into action, joined by Grams and Patricia.
"Freeze him!" Penny shouted, raising Piper hands. But the freezing spell had no effect on Daza's empowered form.
Patricia tried to freeze him in time, but the spell fizzled uselessly. Grams hurled objects at him with her telekinesis, but Daza deflected them with ease.
"You're nothing without your precious Power of Three," Daza sneered, sending a wave of dark energy that sent them all sprawling.
The sisters regrouped, panic creeping in.
"He's too strong!" Paige cried, blood trickling from a cut on her forehead.
Billie stumbled in, weak but determined. Using her projection powers, she briefly stunned Daza, giving the sisters a chance to regroup.
"Think of something!" Phoebe shouted.
The sisters clasped hands, chanting in unison:
"The Power of Three will set us free."
For a moment, the spell held Daza in place, but the ground beneath the manor began to tremble violently.
Inara's Arrival
In the basement, Inara's dark magic seeped into the air as she began chanting an ancient incantation:
"From shadow and flame, awaken the Nexus, and bring the world to its knees."
The earth split open, dark energy surged from the cracks, and the manor was bathed in a sinister glow.
"She's opening the Nexus!" Paige screamed.
The sisters rushed toward the basement, but Daza blocked their path.
Adrianna's Arrival
In the midst of the chaos, a small girl appeared in the living room, her innocent face filled with determination.
"Adrianna!" Patricia gasped.
The sisters turned, confused and shocked.
"Who is that?" Piper demanded.
Patricia stepped forward, voice trembling. "Adrianna, my dear, go back to Grandpa Victor. It's not safe here!"
The child shook her head. "Nana Patty, I want my mommy and daddy. I've been looking for them."
Phoebe's remaining empathic powers flared, and the truth hit her like a lightning bolt. "Oh my God," she whispered, tears welling up.
Daza turned his attention to Adrianna, a wicked grin forming on his face. "Well, well. A powerful little witch. You'll make a fine prize."
As Daza attacked Adrianna, Patricia threw herself in front of the child, shielding her. A blinding white light erupted, engulfing everyone.
Reunion in the Parallel World
In the parallel world, Prue and Andy were investigating strange runes in their old Portland home when the ground trembled violently.
"What's happening?" Prue asked, clinging to Andy.
Before he could respond, a blinding light filled the room. When it faded, they found themselves staring at the entire Halliwell family—Grams, Patricia, Victor, the sisters, their children, and Billie.
"Prue?" Piper's voice trembled as she stepped forward.
Prue froze, her breath catching. "Piper? Phoebe?"
"How? Grams? Mom? How did you…?" Then a little voice emerged, saying, "Mommy, Daddy, you're back!" Another two little voices followed: "Mommy, Daddy!" as Andrew and Andrea ran toward their parents. Prue and Andy were shocked, running toward their children and hugging them tightly as they cried.
"Oh my God, my babies," Prue said, crying. She asked, "Are you three alright?"
Adrianna asked, "Mommy, where have you been? Are you mad at me? Why did you and Daddy leave? Did I do something wrong?"
Prue and Andy looked at Adrianna, replying, "No, honey. We're not mad at you. Something happened that day, on your birthday. We have no idea what happened. Can you forgive me and Daddy?" Prue continued holding her eldest child.
Adrianna looked at them and said, "Okay."
She then asked, "Mommy, who are they?" pointing at the other Halliwell family.
"Baba Victor took us and said to take care of us while you were gone," the little girl said.
Meanwhile, Andrew spoke, "Daddy, I want to go home and sleep, but that bad man is there and wants to hurt Mommy…"
Meanwhile, Piper and the others were astonished by the sight, but Piper spoke: "Prue? Andy? How? Please, can someone explain?"
Before anyone could speak, the ground shook again, and the ominous glow of the Nexus followed them even into this world. The battle was far from over.
The Nexus Unleashed
Inara's chant echoed through the ruins of Halliwell Manor as the ground split open, releasing an ancient and malevolent force—the Nexus.
The ensuing energy ripped through the neighborhood. Buildings crumbled, cars were swallowed by the earth, and terror spread across the land. Prescott Street was reduced to rubble. The Halliwell Manor, an iconic symbol of generations of witches, collapsed into the earth in a deafening roar.
Inara stood amidst the destruction, her arms raised triumphantly. "This is just the beginning," she whispered, her voice dripping with malice.
The devastation continued across the globe: tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and darkness consuming the skies.
