It had been a few days since the start of the school year and Jaden, Emily, and their friends were currently in Dr. Crowler's classroom. To start off the day Dr. Crowler had asked Alexis to list all types of cards.
"Duel Monster cards can be grouped into Normal Monster cards, Fusion Monster cards, Ritual Monster Cards, Effect Monster Cards, Trap Cards, and Spell Cards. Trap Cards can be divided into Normal Traps, Counter Traps, and Continuous Traps. Spell cards can be separated into Normal Spells, Continuous Spells, Equip Spells, Quick-Play Spells, Ritual Spells, and Field Spells."
At her explaination Dr. Crowler approved, "Perfect! Well done Alexis. Of course I wouldn't expect any less from one of my blue Obelisks."
Emily frowned at that. 'That wasn't exactly a hard question. She got it right but he could make his bias a little less obvious.'
"Hm? Now who should we question next?" Dr. Crowler asked looking around. "You, Bastion Misawa!"
"Yes?" Bastion inquired calmly standing up.
"Explain to the class what a Quick-Play Spell is." Dr. Crowler instructed.
"A Quick-Play Spell is a type of spell card that can be activated during your opponent's turn provided it was set similarly to a trap card." Bastion answered.
"Excellent Misawa. As expected for having the top score out of all the first years." Dr. Crowler praised.
"Thank you Professor." Bastion smiled calmly before taking his seat again.
He looked over the class which was actually the Slifer Dorm for a moment to humiliate them.
"You, Syrus Truesdale!"
"Huh?" Syrus asked hesitantly.
"Explain to the class what a Field Spell is, please." Dr. Crowler smirked.
"Uh..." Syrus looked nervous trying to remember, "A Field Spell is a... is the thing that effects the thing that is the..."
"Even Pre-Duelers know the answer to this Slifer Slacker!" One of the Obelisks called which caused the entire dorm to laugh at poor Syrus while Chazz smirked a bit amused.
Emily frowned seeing that. 'Poor Syrus. Not to mention the added stress from knowing his brother's here... this can't be helping his confidence.'
"No! I know this it's uh..." Syrus stammered blushing in embarrassment which caused Bastion, Alexis, and the other concerns to burst for him.
"Relax Sy you got this." Jaden assured but Dr. Crowler was unfortunately an impertinent man.
"I think not sit down." Dr. Crowler instructed as Syrus sat down before the teacher offered, "Now can someone please give me the answer? Perferably someone not wearing red thank you."
That caused the Obelisk Dorm to laugh again.
"I blew it. I made the Slifers look bad." Syrus said ashamed of himself.
Deciding to make a stand Jaden grinned, "You know teach you shouldn't make fun of us Slifers like that."
"Hm?" Dr. Crowler just stared at Jaden at that.
"Well sure my sis is a Obelisk but the point stands that I'm a Slifer, and I beat you." Jaden grinned before rubbing his head goofily. "I'm just saying when your making fun of us your really making fun of yourself."
Dr. Crowler only look on in disbelief at what Jaden just said before taking out a hankerchief, and bit down on it to keep himself from yelling out some nasty words at Jaden in rage.
"Oh be quiet slacker, in a one-on-one match you would have been taken out without any trouble at all." Chazz told Jaden as the other Obelisks agreed with him.
"Should we prove that?" Jaden asked him with a grin.
"Is that a challenge?" Chazz asked. "And why should I waste my time with a Slifer Slacker like you?"
While their having a conversation Dr. Crowler thought enraged, 'That's it! I won't tolerate this Slacker in my school anymore! I'll see to it he gets expelled!'
After class is over...
"Not the best kind of choice of words was it?" Jaden asked Emily outside of the classroom.
"No, it wasn't." she agreed before frowning. "Jaden, I'm thinking of leaving the island."
"And I think I know where that is heading." Jaden said hearing that.
"It's not that Jaden." Emily admitted before blushing. "It's... the other thing about me, remember?"
Jaden blinked hearing that.
Her eyes widened in disbelief. "I'm sharing a dorm with a bunch of really cute... no, really beautiful young women Jaden. Remember what the problem is now?"
"OH yeah." Jaden remember looking sheepish rubbing his head, "Each time I nearly forgotten about it, I get a slap in the face figuratively."
She glared at him before sighing. "I don't know what to even do Jaden... at least nobody here is... yeah."
"Well hey... It doesn't matter to me what you choose." Jaden assured her with his trademark grin.
"Jaden!" Emily cried at that before glaring and leaning in to whisper in his ear.
"The girl's dorm has hot springs that Alexis, Mindy, and Jasmine like using a lot... and Alexis is trying to help my confidence in dueling but it's hard to focus because... I'd rather leave than get kicked off the island."
Jaden doesn't see the problem though shrugging, "So what's the big deal? It's not like a boy, and a girl being together is anything different."
Emily turned bright red at that. "Jaden!"
"What are you guys talking about?" Syrus who walked out of the class to them asked what Emily's freaking out about.
"Nothing." Emily said quickly before walking off only to give a warning glare to Jaden as she did.
He only gave a confused shrug at this.
Emily arrived back at the Obelisk Girls Dorm sighing to herself before Miss Fontaine noticed her, "Welcome back Miss Yuki."
"Oh... Miss Fontaine, do you have a minute?" Emily asked. "It's... kind of important."
"Hm? Sure, I got some time." Fonatine took Emily upstairs into her room where she asked her, "What do you want to talk about?"
Emily looked down uncertainly. "I... need to leave the island, and withdraw from Duel Academy."
Fontaine blinked surprised, "That's a bit sudden Emily. Why exactly?"
"That... that's a personal reason, my brother Jaden will probably stay though." Emily answered.
"Well I won't pry but I don't have the authority to do that." Fontaine told her.
"I need to talk to Chancellor Shepherd?" Emily asked. "Do you know if he's available tonight?"
"He's usually busy but I can try having you scheduled to meet him." Fontaine told her.
"Thank you, the sooner the better." Emily admitted.
Meanwhile...
Jaden, Syrus, and some of their classmates were in gym class. Dr. Crowler entered the locker room looking for Jaden's locker, 'Ok, now which one is it?'
He looked around before what looks sneakers.
'Aha, this must be it.' Dr. Crowler thought confidently.
He planted a letter before sneaking out just as Syrus ran in groaning, "Stupid Girls Gym. They need to make the sign bigger!" He went to his locker before noticing the sneakers, "Huh? Jaden's using my locker."
He moved the boots as the letter fell down.
"Huh, what's this?" Syrus asked picking it up and reading it only for his eyes to widen and a blush to appear on his face. "Alexis wants to meet me tonight?"
In his imagination, was him and Alexis being together dancing in a flower garden as the very thought made Syrus go into gaga mode.
"Syrus?" Jaden's voice called. "You coming?"
"Huh?" Syrus snapped out of it. "Oh right coming!"
He looked at the letter before hiding it in his blazer, and running out.
Later that night...
Jaden entered his dorm room having a towel on him, "Outhouse yours Sy!"
To his surprise Syrus was nowhere to be seen.
"Huh? Sy?" Jaden asked looking around, "Chum had you seen him?"
"He went in a hurry for some reason." Chumley answered before laying down, "Don't ask me where though."
Meanwhile at the Obelisk Blue Girl's dorm...
Syrus was rowing on his way with hearts in his eyes to the dorm while unaware to him was Dr. Crowler was hiding in the bushes after snipping the lock off the gate.
Inside the Dorm...
Knock Knock Knock.
Someone knocked on Emily's room.
"One second." she answered before opening the door. "Yeah?"
She sees Alexis wearing blue PJs who smiled to her, "Sorry to disturb ya Em."
"Oh... it's ok." Emily nodded stepping back. "What is it Alexis?"
"Well I was wondering if you would like to join me, Jasmine, and Mindy tonight." Alexis answered.
"Oh... you remember what I told you, I don't really like hot springs." Emily answered. "Don't let me stop you from enjoying them though."
"Is there something about them you don't like?" Alexis asked.
"They just don't appeal to me." she answered. "That's all."
"Well... can you try just this once?" Alexis requested, "Just one time, and then I'll stop asking you to come."
"I'd really rather not, sorry." Emily apologized.
"Hey Lex what's taking ya so long!?" Jasmine called walking over.
"Emily's not really liking the idea..." Alexis admitted to her.
"What's not to like about it? They make you feel so relaxed." Jasmine pointed out.
"Jasmine and Mindy are waiting for you... I'll be ok." Emily mentioned to Alexis.
"Hey just once won't hurt girl." Jasmine patted her back assuringly, "It's not like any perverts will take a peek."
"Please just... stop." she whispered looking down.
Alexis embraced her. Emily blushed at that. "Alexis?"
"I understand if you don't want too. But I would really like it if you would." Alexis smiled to her.
Emily took a nervous breath. "Just once?"
"Only once." Alexis confirmed nodding.
"Then... ok." she relented. 'Just... don't think about them being in the hot spring and it'll be over quickly.'
"Okay we'll be waiting for you." Alexis smiled nodding as she, and Jasmine walked down.
Emily took a sigh before blushing bright red as she looked for a swimsuit. "Why did I let them talk me into this?"
Meanwhile at the Hot Spring...
Alexis in a purple bikini with Jasmine, and Mindy in matching green bikinis were waiting for Emily together to start their time together only to hearing something from behind turning around. They saw Emily walking into the room wearing a dark green one-piece.
"Oh wow you look great!" Jasmine gasped in awe seeing her.
"Oh... thanks." Emily blushed. "You too."
"I'll help get you in." Alexis smiled offering a hand to Emily.
"Oh... thanks." Emily mentioned hesitantly taking it.
Alexis slowly helps Emily get in the water with them while Jasmine, and Mindy entered themselves swimming but Jasmine notices she's farther away from them before she smiled to her calling, "Come on Ems there's plenty of room here for all of us!"
"I'm ok over here." she admitted. "It's relaxing."
"Come on what's the harm?" Mindy asked taking her wrist pulling her over with them.
Emily cried out as she was dragged over to the other three girls. Once she was over with them Jasmine, and Mindy started crowding her in awe by how she looks, "Ah Emily your skin looks so pretty! Can I touch, can I touch!?"
"Please don't." Emily blushed.
Luckily Alexis was there to help her, "Girls... don't you think you two are getting too close for her comfort?"
The two blink before noticing Emily's look.
"Oh, sorry." Jasmine apologized.
"It's... ok." Emily replied before taking a slow breath.
"Well if we can't... Yonk!" Mindy grabbed Emily's glasses off her.
"Hey, I can't see without those!" Emily cried reaching for them.
"Hey relax, I just wanted to know what you look like without these on." Mindy giggled to her. She takes a look before smiling, "Wow you look real pretty. Maybe a bit more then Alexis." She turned to said girl, "No offense of course."
"Non taken." Alexis shrugged as Mindy places Emily's glasses back on her face.
"How come you don't have contacts? All the guys will kill to see you." Jasmine said to Emily.
"I like my glasses." Emily answered. "I think they're cute."
"You know speaking of that do you have a boyfriend?" Alexis asked her.
"Huh?" she asked in surprise only to shake her head. "No, I don't and... did you hear something?"
Hearing that they listen before hearing footsteps.
"Who's there?" Emily asked.
Outside Dr. Crowler gets ready to strike only to stop in horror seeing who he drag out.
"Alexis?" Syrus' grinned face popped in.
Jumping out of his hiding spot he screeched "THAT'S NOT JADEN! IT'S THAT STAMMERING FIELD SPELL NITWIT!"
Seeing him Jasmine and Mindy screamed. Dr. Crowler looked on before jumping into the pond to hide where the girls sees Syrus.
Flinching Syrus looked around seeing he was surrounded before he was taken off.
After calming down, and dressing up the four interrogated Syrus which Jasmine glared, "Tell us why your here, and it better be good."
"Alexis told me to meet her here." Syrus answered nervously before reaching into his blazer and handing Alexis the letter.
Jasmine took it before raising a brow before showing it to Alexis who frowned, "Syrus my name is not even spelled right, and that's not my handwriting."
"It isn't... you mean you didn't write the letter?" he asked dejectedly.
Jasmine spotted something before saying, "And it says it's for Jaden Yuki."
"Oh... yeah I guess that makes sense." Syrus admitted only to pause. "Wait, but if you didn't write it for Jay, who did?"
"Emily? Were you trying to pull a prank on your brother?" Jasmine asked Emily.
"No way, I've done that before but nothing like this." Emily admitted.
"Um... if this was all a misunderstanding, can I go back to the Slifer Dorm now?" Syrus asked nervously.
Jasmine accused, "Then could it be it was this stringbean who wrote it for an excuse?"
"I didn't think of that." Emily admitted. "What do you think Alexis?"
Alexis gave thought before saying, "I have an idea."
Syrus shuddered at that.
Back at the Slifer Dorm...
Jaden was looking over his Deck before his PDA ringed.
"Huh?" Jaden inquired before checking what it was.
"We have your friend Syrus. If you want to see him again come to the Girl's dorm now." a disorented voice said.
"What, Sy?" Jaden asked hearing that. "Who is this, what have you done to Syrus?"
It closed showing it was a message. His eyes widened at that before he grabbed his deck and ran from the dorm.
At the Girl's dorm...
While that was happening Dr. Crowler looked on seeing Jaden coming in a row boat while he's hiding in the water., "Your a little late."
Jaden was rowing in a row-boat as he see the girls.
"What's going on, Emily where's Syrus?" he asked her. "I got this weird message."
"He's right here." Emily said gesturing Jasmine, and Mindy are holding him to make sure he doesn't get away.
"Hi Jaden." Syrus said shamefully.
"Sy, I'm so glad you're alright." Jaden smiled. "Come on, let's head back before whoever sent that message tries something else."
"You don't get it Jaden? I'm the one who sent that message." Alexis told him.
"Huh, but why?" Jaden asked hearing that. "What's going on?"
"I was set up Jaden." Syrus said to him looking down before Emily handed the letter to her brother as she explained, "Someone planted this at Syrus' locker while PE Class was going."
Jaden read it before his eyes widened. "Wow, who wrote this?"
"We don't know but regardless Syrus broke the rules. And you are too." Alexis said to him.
"Broke the rules?" Jaden asked hearing that. "What do you mean, you called me here."
Mindy only glared, "Your friend here trespassed, and now that your are here your trespassing as well."
"Hey, this was all a misunderstanding." Emily pointed out. "Maybe we could let them off with a warning this time? I mean, I know Jaden wouldn't break the rules on purpose and Syrus really did sound like he felt bad about his mistake."
"Well I got something in mind Emily." Alexis told her.
"Well, if you say so." Emily nodded.
Alexis turned to Jaden, "Normally I can have you, and your sister duel each other so I can see how you both would do but me, and my friends already done enough on her for her to relax in the Hot Spring so I'll duel you instead."
"Wait what Hot Spring?" Jaden asked confused before turning to his sister confused, "Didn't you say those aren't your thing since you don't want to show off your bo-"
She glared at him angrily. "Quiet."
He only shrugged confused while Jasmine, and Mindy looked at each other confused also before Alexis asked Jaden, "So Jaden are you ready?"
"Always am ready for a duel." Jaden grinned to her.
With that everyone made room for the duel to begin. With that everyone made room for the duel to begin. Dr. Crowler smirked, "That's right Alexis, show that slacker he doesn't belong here."

Benten charged in calling out as she smacked Wildheart all over with her fans while Jaden braced himself. (Jaden: 1500/Hand: 0)
"Okay sweet monster Lex... But I'm still standing." Jaden grinned to her.
"Not for much longer Jaden, Benten has her own special ability." Alexis revealed. "One that activates when she destroys a monster and sends it to the graveyard. You take damage equal to your monster's original defense points and Wildheart has 1600 of them."
"Wait so that would mean..." Jaden trailed off.
"It means I win." Alexis finished. "Benten, finish this duel!"
Benten let out a battle war cry charging her fan which passed Jaden's HEROs as he got hit, "Well that sucks..."

"Wrong." Alexis said simply which shocked the girls, and Syrus, "All I wanted to see was how Jaden can do individuality since I had seen Emily done amazing herself. And even though he didn't Fusion Summon he does have great skills, and technique... But it's a little lacking in Defense."
"Well yeah... I don't defend much." Jaden admitted, "I guess I'm used to dueling Emes."
"Well bottom line is both you, and Syrus are free to go." Alexis shrugged with a smile.
"Thanks and if you're ever up for a rematch I'm always game." Jaden grinned as Syrus got on the boat and the two of them rowed off.
Alexis turned to Emily, "Well your brother certainly is something... And your right when you said that brothers can annoy you to death, and he's no exception."
"Yeah, but you have to love him." she admitted with a smile.
"But what did he meant back there? You aren't comfortable showing your body?" Alexis asked her confused.
She froze at that. "It's nothing."
Alexis shook her head looking guilty, "No. Sorry Emily... If I had known you aren't comfortable showing it, I never would've gotten you to join us in the Hot Spring."
"It's not your fault." Emily admitted. "But, I think I'm heading to bed... and thanks for not getting my brother in trouble."
Alexis nodded before hugging her, "I'll try, and make it up to you Ems."
Emily blushed at that but nobody noticed. "It's ok really, I'm just tired."
With that she quickly ran back into the dorm. Alexis stared before Jasmine asked, "What was that about?"
"I don't know." Mindy shrugged.
Ulrich362: Well, didn't expect Jaden to lose that one.
bopdog111: Otherside from Yusaku, and Yusei he's the most unbeatable out of all the protagonists.
Ulrich362: True, but even he has his losses and ironically enough his problem is the opposite of Emily's.
bopdog111: He has problems defending while she has problems with offense. But they both work around this by dueling together.
