It was late at night when a secret facility on the island has it's alarm blaring where running as a monkey wearing a helmet, and has a Duel Disk was jumping around before going through a window to escape.
The next day...
Chazz was walking out with his bag over him before glaring at Duel Academy with disgust at how he had been treated, "Stinking Duel Academy. You demoted me, you laughed at me well that's it, I've had it."
He walked off.
Meanwhile Jaden, Emily, Alexis, and Syrus were talking about Bastion's match with Chazz.
"I'm honestly a little nervous to duel him." Emily admitted. "Bastion's really skilled."
"It's alright to be nervous. I don't know if I can be good against him." Syrus admitted to her.
"Well, we'll find out eventually." she smiled. "Oh, by the way Alexis do you know if Jasmine and Mindy got enough sleep last night?"
"They were still asleep when I checked on them." Alexis admitted to her.
Emily nodded. "They deserve to get some rest."
Jaden suddenly grinned. "Oh by the way, are you up for a rematch Lex?"
Alexis blinked to Jaden before she softly grinned, "I'm more then ready if your sure."
"I'm always up for a game." he smiled warmly as Emily couldn't help a teasing smile.
"Ah, young love." she teased.
Alexis blushed at that elbowing Emily's side. She giggled at that. "What, I think you two make a cute couple."
Alexis glared at her, "Your starting to remind me of how HE acts."
Emily raised her hands defensively. "Sorry, sorry. I didn't want to upset you Alexis. I do think you two get along really well though."
"Oh, we might want to wait until after class for you two to have a duel." Syrus pointed out reminding them they had to get to Professor Banner's class.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Jaden admitted.
"Somehow that doesn't surprise me." Alexis admitted. "So we'll have our match after class?"
"It's a date." Jaden grinned only to pause as he realized what he just said.
Alexis blinked herself hearing that, "Date?"
"It's a figure of speech." Jaden admitted blushing slightly as the four of them walked to class together.
Instead of Banner they see lots of students talking to each other.
"You know, I think I saw Chazz pack his bags last night."
"Know why? Cause he lost to that Ra."
"Bastion wasn't it?"
"And that Slifer Slacker as well."
"Well if he can't beat the Ketchup, and Mustard team good riddance."
"Huh, what are you talking about?" Jaden inquired hearing that.
The Obelisks turned to him before they glared, "Stay out of our conversation Slifer Slacker."
"Let's go somewhere where he can't be annoying." another suggested walking off with them.
"Wait, if Chazz packed his bags... does that mean he's planning on leaving?" Syrus asked uncertainly.
"Not on my watch." Jaden frowned before saying, "Come on guys, let's go find him!"
He ran out of the classroom at that.
"Huh, hey Jaden!" Emily cried running after him as Syrus and Alexis exchanged a glance before following the twins.
They encountered Jasmine, and Mindy who were walking to class but Jaden passed them before seeing the three which Jasmine asked, "Girl where's your brother going?"
"We're trying to find Chazz, we heard he packed his bags and might be thinking of leaving the island after he lost to Jaden and then to Bastion the other day." she explained.
"I swear that smartmouth finds a way to make things difficult." Mindy sighed face-palming.
"Do you mind helping us look for him?" she asked them before pausing. "And... maybe helping me with that a bit more later?"
They both nodded following Jaden to look for Chazz.
A few minutes later...
The group had met up with Bastion, Zane, and Makoto, and are all looking for Chazz.
"Chazz come on! Where are ya!?" Jaden called.
"Chazz this isn't funny!" Alexis called.
Syrus suddenly blinked. "Huh, did you guys hear something?"
They all paused as they heard something rustling in a nearby bush. Thinking it was Chazz, Jaden walked off to the bush, "Chazz get out of there, and quit playing games."
Suddenly jumped out of the bush startling them making them scream before as suddenly a dust cloud appeared where Jaden, Syrus, Emily, Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy are at against whatever it was that jumped on them while Bastion, Zane, and Makoto watched all startled. Hearing that they looked as the dust cloud cleared showing that Syrus, Jaden, Alexis, Emily, and Mindy were sitting in shock looking a little riled. Suddenly Mindy's eyes widened. "Something took Jasmine!"
Hearing another scream they looked to see what have jumped on them had grabbed Jasmine, and was jumping away from the trees.
"Come on, we can't let them get away." Jaden mentioned running after them as the others all followed quickly behind him.
"Ah, why do we have to run?" Chumley groaned as it fall on deaf ears.
They followed them before Emily notices three people running beside them a couple of feet away which was three men, and one was holding a Tranquilizer Gun, and one short guy.
'Huh, who are they?' she thought in confusion before just frowning. "Jaden, do you see them?"
"I think so! He stopped!" Jaden called.
They ran, and arrived to where they are at a cliff side where what kidnapped Jasmine was a monkey that has some type of robotic armor on on a lone tree that's tipping to the ocean.
"Ah! Please don't let me go!" Jasmine begged the monkey scared of heights.
"Jasmine!" Mindy cried seeing that. "Hey you furry freak, let my girl go!"
The man with the gun grunted, "Damn, I can't get a shot without him dropping her!"
"Shot?" Syrus asked in shock.
"Who are you people?" Makoto questioned.
"It's nothing you kids need to concern yourselves over." the short man brush off their questions, "Wheeler's the higher priority right now."
"Wheeler, you mean that monkey?" Syrus asked. "Why is wearing that stuff, and..."
"Why did that monkey kidnap Jasmine?" Mindy questioned. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you, I promise!"
The monkey shook it's head, "No hurt girl, no hurt girl."
"You... you won't hurt me?" Jasmine asked nervously.
The monkey shook it's head again at her. She looked nervous but slowly nodded.
"Wheeler, please let Jasmine go." Mindy requested.
"No. Girl go free, Wheeler go no free." Wheeler refused.
Emily blinked before her eyes widened. "Wait, if you let Jasmine go then they'll take you back, am I right?"
"That would make the most sense, and considering the tranquilizer gun they have I doubt they're going to treat Wheeler like anything other than an experiment." Zane noted.
"Why of course, Wheeler here is our best test subject. A monkey learning how to duel like a pro champion, and whenever he makes a mistake he gets punished severely." the short man said with a proud smirk on his smirk.
"Sir..."
He blinked when he realized he was saying too much, "Oh right top secret."
Hearing that Emily frowned only to pause taking a step closer to Wheeler and Jasmine. "Wheeler, can I ask you something?"
Wheeler looked over to her.
"Let's have a duel. If I win you let Jasmine go ok?" she asked him.
Everyone looked surprised while Wheeler looked at her, "Duel?"
"That's right, you against me." Emily nodded as she closed her eyes. 'You helped me out before Jasmine, I promise I'll help you too. You're one of my best friends.'
Wheeler stared before nodding softly placing Jasmine safely on the tree before jumping off standing in front of Emily. Seeing this the man with the gun aimed, "I have a clear shot!"
"No!" the short man told him, "This duel is the field test we have been waiting for."
"Field test?" Mindy asked hearing that. "Just who are you people?"
"As I said before nothing to concern yourselves with." the short man again brushed that question off as they looked to see the duel.
"Hey Ems be careful!" Jaden called to his sister.
She nodded as she and Wheeler got ready.
"DUEL!" they called together.

Acrobat Monkey howled at the power as it removed it's destroyed mechanical armor off it. (ATK: 1000 + 1800 = 2800)
"2800, this monkey is good." Jaden admitted seeing that.
"Battle! Battle! Acrobat Monkey attack!"
The powered up monkey howled before jumping up to attack Rose.
"Hero Barrier!" Emily called quickly.

The barrier blocked the stronger ape's attack as it jumped back. Wheeler unfazed only called, "Berserk Gorilla attack!"
The second stronger ape charged in pounding it's chest jumping up to attack Rose too. Emily braced herself as her monster shattered.

"She prevented a bit of damage, but she lost her only monster." Bastion said seeing this, "However they trained him is effective."
"True, but don't forget Wild Nature's Release has a cost." Zane reminded him.
Wheeler sets a card ending his turn. At that same time Acrobat Monkey started screeching in pain grabbing it's head before shattering from the effect of the spell. Upon that Wheeler called, "Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest's effect activates!"
"Huh?" Emily asked hearing that.
"When Beast destroyed pay 1000 points summon itself!"

What popped in was a larger gorilla that is green wielding a club.

"You know, something's been confusing me this whole time... how is a monkey able to talk, let alone duel?" Syrus asked.
"Please, that would be completely unrealistic. He's no regular monkey." the short man told him waving off his questions, "His helmet reads his mind, and talks for him. And not only that he's a trained Duelist. Believe me, it's all part of his training. You see back at the lab if he'd made a mistake twice he would be harshly punished. We poked, and prod him that way for years! No, he won't give up. He'd just get better!"
"What?" Jaden questioned in horror.
"Sir." one of the other men told him.
"Right, forget I said anything." the short man said realizing he was saying much again.
Jasmine felt bad for the monkey in front of her. All he wanted was to get away from his tormenters that took him away from his natural habitat, and forced him to be their ultimate weapon. And he kidnapped her so he can have a reason they can't take them, but when this duel is over, what will they do?
"Turn end." Wheeler told Emily.

Emily drew her card only to pause and frown. "Wheeler, what's going to happen if you lose the duel?"
Wheeler only stayed silent before shaking his head which basically tells her that he can either keep running or get captured again by his tormentors, and be harshly punished for losing. If he does win it would be the same only they put him in harsher training. Emily looked unsure at that. 'What do I do? I have everything I need to win and save Jasmine... but if I do then Wheeler will be tortured again?'
"Hey Ems!" she heard Jasmine call to her.
"Jasmine?" she asked at that.
Wheeler looked over his shoulder to the girl he took before she said to her, "Go ahead, and show Wheeler everything you got! He's not a weapon, he's a true duelist at heart! Now use your Dueling to set him free from his tormentors!"
"Jasmine..." Emily whispered before nodding. "Right, I reveal my facedown Miracle Fusion. I can use it to banish Knospe and Poison Rose from my graveyard and Fusion Summon Elemental HERO Gaia in attack mode!"

The facedown was revealed to be Roaring Earth, a Trap that allows Beast Monsters to deal piercing damage, and lower the points of a monster on her field by 500 when they deal damage. She nodded seeing that. "Ok, now I'll use the spell Polymerization and fuse Stratos on my field with the Elemental HERO Flash in my hand in order to Fusion Summon Elemental HERO The Shining in attack mode!"
Stratos and a monster in a blue spandex suit with a lightning design appeared before entering the Fusion Vortex.

Shining raise up firing a large light blast vaporizing Berserk Gorilla while Wheeler went down to his knees.

"Are you alright?" Mindy asked Jasmine.
"Yeah I'm fine." Jasmine said running out of her spot without Wheeler stopping her hugging Mindy close.
The short man meanwhile threw a disgusted look. All the work they had done, and when Wheeler finally had a real match, the result was that even though Wheeler dueled magnificent, he only dealt 100 points of damage. 100! Clearly they need to do some more work along with punishing Wheeler for thinking he can escape their grasp from his destiny as their weapon. With that in mind he, and his two guys walked to Wheeler to take him back, "Alright, you flea ridden failure, let's go."
"What, no way Wheeler's going free." Jaden told him as Emily and Alexis noticed Mindy tearfully kissing Jasmine while they smiled softly.
"Why care for him? He's an animal that needs to be caged, and not worth worrying about. He's not human." the short man told him annoyed.
"Just cause he's an animal doesn't mean he deserves to be trapped like a cage experiment!" Jaden yelled.
"Enough nonsense move." the short man said pushing Jaden away as one of them had a net as he said, "Who's gonna believe you all? You are just a bunch of meddling kids that think they know everything. But don't fret Wheeler won't be alone. No, his friends will join him on my experiments."
"No!" Jaden called.
At that moment a cat jumped on the man with the net.
"Ah!" the man cried grabbing his face as the cat ran back.
"Tsk tsk Pharaoh. Naughty kitty." a familiar voice said as who picked the cat up was Banner.
"Professor Banner!" Syrus cried seeing him.
"Who are you?" the short man asked him as he walked over.
"Oh you know. Just your average duelist, teacher, animal lover." Banner smiled kicking up the Tranquilizer Gun with his feet holding it in his hand, "If you catch my drift."
The short man glared at him knowing that there entire operation was now screwed.
Later...
After the facility, and everyone involved Wheeler was now free. But he still has his Dueling Armor on.
"Do you want help getting that stuff off?" Jaden asked Wheeler.
Wheeler shook his head saying, "Leave on."
"Alright." Jaden nodded.
"Take care Wheeler." Emily smiled gently.
Wheeler only looked at her not moving before approaching her. Before she can react he jumped up climbing on her back surprising her. Jasmine giggled at this, "I think he likes you Ems."
Emily smiled. "Ah, I like you too Wheeler. You're a great friend."
"Friend?" Wheeler asked having never heard of that word before.
"That's right." Emily smiled.
"Think Duel Academy will let him stay?" Jaden asked Banner.
Banner shrugged at that. "Hard to say... Well as long as he's on his best behavior."
"I trust him." Jaden smiled.
"That means Emily now has a pet?" Syrus asked them.
Jasmine frowned, "Not a pet. More like a loyal companion."
"Exactly, I'll try and visit you in the forest often Wheeler." Emily smiled.
"And maybe train him a bit so he can grow stronger." Mindy smiled to her.
"Maybe." Emily nodded.
"You feeling okay Jazz?" Alexis asked Jasmine placing a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm feeling better now." she admitted. "I'm glad Wheeler's ok."
"Us too." they nodded with smiles before they walked back to Duel Academy.
Jasmine puts a hand on Emily's shoulder when Wheeler hopped off.
"Jasmine?" Emily asked turning to her at that.
Jasmine kissed her deep. Emily's eyes widened at that before gently kissing her back. Jasmine pulled back before smiling, "I'm proud of you girl."
"Thanks, I owe it all to the help you and Mindy gave me." Emily smiled before pausing. "Now... I just hope I find someone as special for me as you two are for each other."
"That doesn't mean we stop being together though right?" Jasmine asked with a smile.
Emily hugged her gently. "No, it doesn't."
Ulrich362: Sounds like Emily made a new friend, and her training with Jasmine and Mindy is definitely paying off.
