When Voyager is about to investigate the nebula the ship crashes on a class M planet. Voyager suffers heavy damage and the crew is stranded. It turns out that there is an alien being that is not well-disposed towards the crew and tries to kill them. The only way to survive is a sacrifice Chakotay has to make - his life. But how can the crew and especially Kathryn go on without him?

ST VOY - ALT UNIVERSE - Having finally gotten back to the Alpha Quadrant after seven years, Janeway reluctantly agrees to join her crew in celebration. Little does she know she'll meet her fate in an elevator in the shape of a stranger - a blond woman in a shiny, grey cat suit.

Note: During a discussion with an editor, I used this impromptu sentence as an example: ["Seven, you can't just parade onto the bridge in your birthday suit." Janeway dropped her head and pinched the bridge of her nose.] The parameters were: word count: 500-2500, and you MUST use the entire sentence somewhere in story. Harry's called back to duty to deal with an exploded power system on Voyager. Trouble is, that power system shouldn't exist. Voyager has one last adventure for Ensign Harry Kim.
