Of course, Fanny must act as their chaperone, and the trio soon learn that in Milton, cotton mills may work hard but rumor mills work harder.

As the title suggests, this is a reimagining of our favourite Gaskell tale but with the addition of Vampires. John battles with his vampiric instincts and the hold that the Masters of the mills have over Milton. To make matters worse, he must struggle not to let his heart be taken by the newly arrived Miss Hale. Things are not always what they seem in Milton.
