Chapter 1: The Beginning

It was an ordinary day at the Pickles household. Tommy Pickles was watching the latest Reptar movie with his best friends, Phil and Lil DeVille and Chuckie Finster. Tommy's cousin, Angelica, was playing with her Cynthia doll somewhere in another room after being dropped off by her father before he left for work. As the friends were watching the movie, Tommy's father, Stu, was sitting nearby on the couch reading a newspaper talking to himself about some of the stories that would inspire him to come up with an invention. Tommy's mother, Didi, was waiting for the twins' mother and best friend, Betty, to come over with plans for a bake sale at the community senior center.

Ever since the babies got their first glimpse of Reptar on their first trip to the movies, they got to watch Reptar on TV, taste Reptar bars on Halloween, and even play with their Reptar dolls.

After the commercial was over, the announcer boomed, "We now return to "Reptar vs. The Aliens" starring no one important."

In a mothership somewhere in outer space, two three-eyed aliens, one pink and the other orange, were keeping watch over Earth.

"The time has arrived," the pink alien said to his orange partner. "To gather up all the Earth's children and bring them back to our home planet as slaves."

Just then, a purple three eyed alien came on the screen, giving the other two a scare. "What are you fools talking about?!"

"M-m-my Queen!" the pink alien stammered and then said with a sheepish smile as the orange alien waved, "We were just preparing to invade Earth for you."

The Alien Queen rolled her eyes in annoyance, then commanded while the orange alien began to hide under his chair, "Well, then get on with it! I haven't got all millennium! And by the way, as soon as you get all those Earth children, make sure you destroy that infernal planet so no one comes after you!"

The orange alien gulped nervously. "Destroy the whole planet?"

"You heard the Queen!" The pink alien confirmed. "Arm the really big dangerous weapon thingy and prepare for the invasion!"

The orange alien pressed a button and soon several spaceships zoomed towards Earth. Most of the children were beamed away from a daycare center as one child tried warning his teacher about the spaceships as they were taking attendance, but ended up being taken away as well.

"Oh, no!" One teacher cried as they watched the children get taken away. "Space aliens are stealing our children! Oh, who will save us?!"

The teachers heard a loud roar and coming from behind a building was a gigantic green dinosaur.

"Reptar!" The teachers cheered.

As the babies watched their favorite dinosaur roar and attack the spaceships, Didi walked towards them and turned the TV off.

"You kids shouldn't be watching that. It's much too scary."

The babies looked up at Didi. She was wearing a facial and had curlers in her hair. They screamed and headed for the playpen. Stu had a surprised look on his face when he saw them running.

"What's gotten into them?" Stu asked his wife. He took a look at her and screamed, "Aaah!"

Didi rolled her eyes and said to the babies, "Now, you kids have fun in here. Betty and I will be baking some delicious treats in a little while." She turned to her husband and asked, "Oh, Stu, if you're not too busy, would you please empty the trash?"

"Sure thing, Deed," answered Stu as he went back to reading the paper.

After Didi left, the babies came out of hiding.

"What was that?" Phil asked. He stood behind a block tower with his sister and Chuckie both next to him.

"I think it was my mommy," Tommy replied from behind his ball.

"I thought an aliem had come to get us!" Chuckie exclaimed.

"We don't have to worry about aliems, Chuckie," Tommy reassured his best friend as he held up his Reptar doll. "We gots Reptar to protect us!"

"Hey, since we can't watch the movie, how about we play "Reptar vs. The Aliems " all by ourselves?" Phil asked.

The babies agreed.

"Okay. Tommy's ball can be the Earth," Chuckie suggested. "And Reptar can keep us safe."

"Who is going to be the aliem?" Lil asked.

While the babies thought of what or who could be the alien, Angelica walked in the living room with Cynthia in her hand. "Hey, babies! Cynthia and I are going to play gymnastics and we need you to be the trampoline."

"Um, sorry, Angelica," Tommy declined. "We are gonna play with Reptar."

Angelica didn't like that at all. "Oh, you are, huh?" she asked with her hands on her hips. "Well, we'll see how much fun Reptar is…"

With that, she snatched Reptar away from Tommy. "...in the trash!" She giggled evilly as she ran into the kitchen and threw Reptar in the trash can.
