It was supposed to be a normal day in Chaldea. The morning light filtered in through the windows, the scent of coffee wafted through the halls, and the various Servants were going about their usual routines. But today, there was something... different.
Merlin, the mischievous magician, had been working behind the scenes. A flick of his wrist and a few words muttered under his breath, and suddenly the four protagonists found themselves in an unfamiliar world—a world made entirely of blocks.
It was... Minecraft.
Ritsuka Fujimaru blinked at the pixelated landscape before him, his feet standing on a blocky patch of grass.
"Wait, what happened? Where are we?"Ayaka Sajyou, standing next to him, looked around, her eyes widening.
"This... this isn't Chaldea! And why does the sky look so... weird?"Shirou Emiya groaned, looking down at his hands.
"I don't know what this is, but I have a feeling it's Merlin's doing."Ritsuka stared at Shirou. "I knew it! He probably found some weird way to prank us again!"
"Hey, if it involves survival, I'm in," said Hakuno Kishinami, a confident grin on her face. "I've always wanted to try surviving in a place like this."
Ritsuka let out a sigh. "You're just excited because we can build things, aren't you?"
"Maybe... but also because I'm kind of curious about the mobs here," Hakuno replied, pulling out her inventory screen. "Look, I can already access my inventory. We can respawn here, right?"
"Looks like it." Ayaka pulled out a wooden pickaxe. "Well, if we have to survive here, we might as well start by getting some resources. Let's gather wood first."
As the four of them got to work, they began to chop down trees, dig into the earth, and build rudimentary structures.
Ritsuka, ever the leader, kept them focused. "We need shelter before nightfall. Those monsters don't look too friendly."
Shirou, of course, was already making a crafting table. "We might as well make the most of this. If we can respawn, then there's no harm in trying to survive here, right?"
He didn't even need to say much more. Ayaka was already building a small house out of wood, while Hakuno and Ritsuka mined for stone to upgrade their tools.
Ritsuka glanced at Shirou, raising an eyebrow. "You know, this is a lot like when we first started working together in the real world—except now it's blocks."
"I guess so," Shirou said, his hands busy crafting a stone sword. "It feels oddly... calming."
"That's probably because we're not fighting any Servants or dealing with the fate of the world," Ayaka chimed in with a laugh. "But I'll take this peaceful life for now."
The sun began to set, and the group huddled in their makeshift wooden house, preparing for the inevitable night-time onslaught of hostile mobs.
Ritsuka stood by the window, looking out at the approaching dark."This is crazy. Why are we even here? What does Merlin want from us?"
Hakuno was munching on some bread. "Maybe he just wants us to see how long we can last. You know, as a test of sorts."
Shirou looked out at the horizon, the flickering of distant torches from a nearby village visible in the distance. "Well, whatever it is, we'll survive. Just like we always do."
Ayaka nodded. "Right. We've been through worse."
The first night was surprisingly uneventful, but the second night, things got real. The ground shook with the sound of approaching zombies, skeletons, and the dreaded creepers.
"Shirou! Look out!" Ayaka yelled as a creeper started to approach.
Shirou, who had been too focused on upgrading his gear, turned around just in time to block the explosion with a well-timed sword swing. He grimaced.
"Great, just what we needed."
Hakuno shot a fireball from her magic, hitting a skeleton, while Ritsuka summoned a barrier around their base, preventing any mobs from breaking in.
"Nice, Ritsuka! Keep it up!"
But the mobs just kept coming. The group realized that it wasn't enough to just survive; they had to start making the land their own. With magic and tools at their disposal, they began to build fortifications and explore the surrounding areas.
Shirou crafted weapons for everyone, Ayaka dug out a small farm, and Hakuno explored the nearby caves for resources.
"Look what I found!" Hakuno's voice echoed as she emerged from a cave, holding a block of diamond ore.
"Nice! That's going to make some great gear," Ritsuka said, already planning out what to craft with the newfound treasure.
Days turned into weeks, and the four of them learned to adapt to their new environment. They built a sprawling base, expanded the land with crops and animals, and even tamed a few wolves.
But they never stopped wondering why they were stuck in this Minecraft world. Was there a deeper meaning to this prank? Or was it just another one of Merlin's chaotic ideas?
One afternoon, while they were sitting around a campfire near their base, Ritsuka couldn't help but ask, "Do you think we'll ever figure out why we're here? I mean, what's Merlin up to?"
Shirou shrugged, his eyes glinting as he tossed a piece of steak into the fire. "I don't know, but we're surviving. And that's what matters."
Ayaka leaned back, looking up at the blocky sky. "I guess so. It's not so bad, really. And at least there's no war... for now."
Hakuno, who was tinkering with her inventory, smiled. "Well, as long as I get to keep exploring and building, I'm happy. Plus, I'm starting to get used to this whole 'respawn' thing."
The four of them sat in comfortable silence, watching the stars twinkle above their Minecraft world. Merlin's prank had been bizarre, but they had survived—and that was enough for now.
As the days passed, the group's little settlement in Minecraft began to take shape. Their humble wooden house had expanded into a sprawling fortress complete with towers, walls, and even a working farm. The crops grew tall, the animals roamed freely, and even the occasional villager from the nearby village came to visit their growing kingdom.
One day, while Ayaka was tending to her farm, she noticed something strange. "Ritsuka! Shirou! Hakuno! Come here!" she shouted, waving her arms as she stood near the edge of the farm.
Ritsuka jogged over, followed by Shirou and Hakuno. "What is it, Ayaka?"
"Look at this!" Ayaka pointed at a peculiar structure poking out from the ground, surrounded by a patch of dirt that seemed to glow faintly. "Is that... a dungeon entrance?"
Hakuno grinned. "A dungeon? That sounds exciting! Should we check it out?"
Ritsuka frowned, adjusting the strap of his sword. "Hold on, we don't know what's down there. This could be dangerous."
Shirou stepped forward, his expression thoughtful. "We've been surviving just fine so far. But if it's a dungeon, it might be filled with treasure. And we could use the resources."
Ayaka nodded eagerly. "Exactly! Plus, it could be fun. I mean, how many times do you get to go dungeon diving in a world like this?"
The group looked at each other for a moment before Ritsuka finally gave in. "Alright, let's do it. But we stick together, understood?"
They all nodded, and with that, the group carefully descended into the dungeon entrance. The tunnel was narrow, the air cold, and the walls were lined with moss and strange, glowing stones. The further they ventured, the darker and more ominous the atmosphere became.
"I'll take point," Shirou said, unsheathing his sword. "If anything jumps out at us, I'll handle it."
Hakuno, ever the magician, pulled out a small flame in her palm to light the way. "I've got our back."
Ayaka, her bow ready, walked beside Ritsuka, who was preparing his own set of magic. "We should be ready for anything," she warned.
Suddenly, the silence was broken by a faint, eerie clicking sound echoing from the darkness. Ritsuka's eyes widened. "That... that's not good."
Before they could react, a swarm of cave spiders dropped down from the ceiling, hissing and skittering toward them. "Spiders!" Ayaka yelled, not wasting any time as she fired a quick arrow that hit one of the spiders square in the head.
Shirou moved quickly, slashing through a few more with his sword, his speed enhanced by his training. "Watch out, they're coming from all sides!" he called.
Hakuno stepped back, launching a small fireball that incinerated several spiders at once. "This is just like fighting back in the old days... but in a lot more blocks!"
Ritsuka raised his hands, summoning a barrier of light to protect the group. "We can't let them overwhelm us. Focus on the ones closest to you."
The spiders kept coming, but thanks to their teamwork, the group managed to fight them off one by one. The dungeon wasn't going to be an easy challenge, but they were making progress. After what seemed like an eternity of dodging and attacking, the last of the spiders fell, and the group took a moment to catch their breath.
"That was close," Ayaka said, wiping the sweat from her brow. "I didn't think there'd be so many."
Shirou sheathed his sword. "Looks like we'll have to be more careful down here."
"Agreed," Hakuno said. "But there could be treasure deeper in. Let's keep going."
The group continued to explore the dungeon, encountering more mobs like skeletons, zombies, and even a few creepers. But each time, they stuck together, their skills and teamwork carrying them through.
Eventually, they came across a treasure chest. Ritsuka approached it carefully, checking for any traps before opening the lid. "Here we go," he said, pulling out the loot inside. "Looks like we've got some enchanted gear, some emeralds, and... is that a rare enchanted apple?"
Ayaka's eyes sparkled. "That apple could be useful. It'll help us if we get into another tough spot."
Hakuno smirked. "See? This dungeon wasn't so bad after all. We should come back more often."
As they headed back to the surface, their bags filled with treasure and resources, the group felt a sense of accomplishment. They had survived, and not only that, they had gained valuable items for their survival in this strange, blocky world.
Back at their base, they spent the rest of the day sorting through their loot and crafting new gear. Shirou worked on upgrading their weapons, Ayaka planted more crops, and Hakuno built a small forge to smelt ores. Ritsuka, though, was looking out at the horizon, contemplating the next challenge ahead.
"Do you think we'll ever get out of here?" he wondered aloud.
Shirou paused in his crafting. "I don't know. But we've been through worse situations before. We just have to keep moving forward."
Hakuno flashed a grin. "Besides, we've got magic, we've got respawns, and we've got each other. What could possibly go wrong?"
Ayaka laughed. "You really have a way of looking on the bright side, don't you?"
"Hey, it's what keeps me sane," Hakuno replied with a wink.
The sun began to set in the blocky world, and as the group settled down around the campfire, they couldn't help but feel a little more at home in this pixelated universe. They didn't know how long they'd be stuck here, but as long as they stuck together, they could survive anything that came their way.
And if Merlin had really intended this to be a prank, well... it wasn't so bad after all.
Until it was...
A few days had passed since the group had tackled the dungeon, and they were feeling pretty confident. Their base was bigger, better, and safer than ever. With enchanted gear, stronger weapons, and a solid plan for survival, they figured they were finally getting the hang of this whole "Minecraft" thing.
But, of course, nothing stays calm for long in this world—especially when Merlin's involved.
Ritsuka, who was surveying the land from the roof of their fortress, frowned. "Something's off tonight."
Ayaka, who had been organizing the chests, glanced up. "What do you mean?"
"The sky... it looks wrong," Ritsuka muttered, his gaze focused on the darkening horizon. The stars were starting to flicker strangely, and the moon, now beginning to rise, had turned a deep, ominous red.
Shirou, who had been helping Hakuno mine some diamonds nearby, looked up. "What is that? Is that... the Blood Moon?"
"Blood Moon? What's that?" Hakuno asked, raising an eyebrow as she wiped dirt off her hands.
"It's a Minecraft event," Shirou explained, his tone serious. "During a Blood Moon, the mobs get stronger, and some... more dangerous creatures might show up."
Ayaka blinked, now worried. "And you didn't think to tell us about this sooner?"
"Honestly, I didn't think it would happen this soon," Shirou admitted. "It's a rare event, but I should've been more cautious."
Ritsuka's voice was steady, but there was a trace of concern. "I don't think we can hide from this one. We need to prepare."
The group quickly regrouped inside their base, sealing the doors and windows. The atmosphere outside was getting more intense by the minute, the Blood Moon casting a strange, red glow over everything. They could hear the distant howls of mobs becoming more erratic.
Then, suddenly, the ground trembled.
Ayaka gripped her bow tightly. "What was that?!"
Before anyone could answer, the earth split open near the outskirts of their base, and grotesque, worm-like creatures began crawling out of the ground. They were massive—tough, armored, and oozing a sickening black substance. Their bodies seemed to twitch as if they were made of something... alive.
"Are those..." Hakuno began, her eyes narrowing in disgust. "Parasitic creatures?"
"Definitely not your typical Minecraft mob," Shirou said, drawing his sword. "Stay alert. These things are going to be a problem."
The creatures hissed, their sharp mandibles clicking as they advanced toward the group. But there was something even worse about them—they were fast. Too fast. And they seemed to multiply as the Blood Moon's red light bathed the land.
"Everyone, form up!" Ritsuka shouted. "We need to stick together! Ayaka, cover the right flank. Hakuno, help me with the left. Shirou, you hold the center!"
Shirou didn't hesitate, his stance firm as he held out his sword. "Got it. Let's make sure we don't let them get too close."
The creatures lunged. Shirou immediately swung his sword, slashing through the first wave, but they just kept coming. The worms twisted and burrowed into the earth, resurfacing to attack from different angles.
Ayaka fired an arrow into the air, landing it squarely into one of the creatures' eyes. "Direct hits aren't enough!" she shouted. "We need to break their armor!"
"Leave it to me!" Hakuno called, flinging fireballs at the creatures. But even as they burned, the creatures regenerated, their writhing bodies not staying down for long.
"We need to think of something else," Ritsuka said, scanning the battlefield. "These creatures are relentless, and they're spreading everywhere."
The Blood Moon's glow intensified, the red light pulsating with each passing second. It was almost as if the creatures were feeding off it, growing stronger the longer they fought.
"We can't just fight them forever!" Shirou said, backing up as one of the creatures nearly got him with its sharp claws. "We need a plan."
"Wait!" Ayaka called, suddenly spotting something. "There's a pattern! Look! When the creatures move toward the light, they seem to be more aggressive. They're drawn to it."
Ritsuka's eyes widened as the realization hit him. "If we block off the light, we can control their movements. We need to put out the torches and darken the area around us."
"We can do that," Hakuno said, her mind working quickly. "But we'll need to move fast before they overwhelm us."
Shirou nodded. "Alright, we take out the torches, then use the darkness to our advantage. Everyone, get ready!"
The group quickly began to extinguish their torches, throwing down cobblestone blocks to create dark, safe zones. The creatures, suddenly deprived of the red glow, began to slow, their movements becoming less frantic.
But just when they thought they had the upper hand, a massive screech echoed from the distance. From the far end of the horizon, an even larger parasitic creature emerged—a hulking, multi-limbed monstrosity, its body covered in shifting black armor and spewing a corrosive liquid. Its eyes glowed with a haunting green light, its presence suffocating and powerful.
"No way..." Hakuno whispered in disbelief. "That thing is huge. And it's not stopping."
"We can't let it get any closer," Shirou said, stepping forward. "This is it, everyone. Time to go all-out."
With no other choice, they readied their most powerful weapons and magic.
Shirou summoned his sword with a flash of prana, Ayaka quickly crafted new arrows from their resources, and Ritsuka and Hakuno prepared their strongest spells. The giant parasite reared back, preparing to strike, but they weren't going to wait for it to come to them.
"Now!" Ritsuka shouted.
They attacked in unison—Shirou dashed forward, using his enhanced speed and strength to close the distance. Ayaka let loose a barrage of explosive arrows, each one lighting up the battlefield as it struck the creature's armored hide. Hakuno unleashed a massive fireball, engulfing the creature in flames. Ritsuka summoned a barrier of light, strengthening their defenses as the creature roared in agony.
The fight was brutal. Every time they thought they were making progress, the giant parasite would regenerate, and more smaller creatures would flood in to distract them. But they didn't stop—they couldn't.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Shirou found an opening. With one powerful slash, he cut through the creature's defenses and struck it at its weak point, deep inside its core.
The beast let out a horrible shriek before collapsing, its massive form turning into a pile of black sludge.
The remaining creatures scattered, retreating into the darkness as the Blood Moon began to wane.
Exhausted and covered in dirt and slime, the group stood victorious, catching their breath.
Ritsuka wiped his brow, a tired smile forming on his face. "That was... way too close."
Shirou chuckled weakly. "At least we survived. And we got rid of the worst of it."
Hakuno leaned on her staff, her grin still wide. "Who knew Minecraft could get so intense?"
Ayaka let out a small laugh. "Well, at least the Blood Moon is over. Hopefully, Merlin won't send us something worse next time."
The group turned back to their base, knowing they had made it through another impossible challenge. With their teamwork and determination, they had faced the Blood Moon and come out on top.
But somewhere, in the back of their minds, they all knew one thing for sure—Merlin was just getting started.
The group trudged back to their base, still catching their breath from the battle. They couldn't help but laugh at how intense the whole thing had been. It was hard to believe they'd survived something that felt straight out of a nightmare.
As they entered their newly expanded fortress, the group began to debrief.
"Okay, okay," Ayaka said, dropping down into a chair with a sigh of relief. "That was insane. But we made it through. Next time we're dealing with another Blood Moon, we're definitely going to have a better plan, right?"
"I think the plan was perfect," Shirou replied with a grin, wiping the sweat from his brow. "We just need more preparation. And maybe a bigger weapon next time." He glanced at his sword, the blade still covered in black ooze. "I didn't expect them to regenerate so quickly. I'm not sure how long we could've kept up without your fireballs, Hakuno."
Hakuno shrugged, her eyes bright. "All I had to do was press a few buttons, and boom. Easy." She smirked. "I just didn't want to be eaten by those things."
"Thanks, everyone," Ritsuka added. "I don't think we would've made it through without all of you. We make a pretty solid team."
Ayaka nodded in agreement. "We do. But I've got a feeling Merlin's going to make sure we don't get too comfortable."
Just as Ayaka finished speaking, a bright flash of light erupted from the center of the base, and a familiar, mischievous voice rang out.
"Well, well, well! You all made it through the Blood Moon, huh? Impressive."
Merlin appeared in the middle of their living room, hands on his hips, grinning like a child who'd just pulled off the world's greatest prank.
"Merlin!" Shirou growled, stepping forward with a glare. "You didn't warn us about that, did you?"
"Where's the fun in warning you?" Merlin chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I thought it'd be more interesting if you learned firsthand what the Blood Moon could do. And I must say, you all handled it rather well."
"Handled it?" Ritsuka repeated with a dry laugh. "You almost got us killed!"
"Almost," Merlin corrected with a wink. "But you didn't, so it's a victory in my book."
Ayaka crossed her arms. "Next time, you better give us a warning. Or at least a hint."
"Maybe," Merlin teased, tapping his chin. "But I think you're all tough enough to handle whatever I throw at you. Besides, you did a great job expanding your base and figuring out how to fight back. You're learning, and that's the most important thing."
"You're going to keep doing this to us, aren't you?" Shirou asked, crossing his arms. "Sending more creatures and events like the Blood Moon to challenge us?"
Merlin grinned. "Oh, absolutely. But don't worry—I won't let anything too dangerous slip through the cracks. After all, you've earned a break... for now."
"We don't need a break," Hakuno said with a mischievous smile. "We're ready for whatever's next."
"That's the spirit!" Merlin clapped his hands. "Alright then. Here's your reward for surviving the Blood Moon." He snapped his fingers, and suddenly, a chest appeared before them, gleaming with an assortment of enchanted gear and resources.
"Now that's more like it," Ayaka said, already eyeing the new items in the chest. "Thank you, Merlin. I guess."
Merlin chuckled. "You're welcome. But be careful what you wish for. The next challenge is always just around the corner."
With that, he disappeared as quickly as he'd come, leaving the group standing in the middle of their base, staring at the chest full of loot.
"Well, at least we've got some decent gear now," Ritsuka said, already starting to rummage through the chest. "I think we can start working on our next project."
"I'm just glad we survived," Shirou said, still feeling the adrenaline wearing off. "But I have a feeling things are about to get even crazier."
Ayaka grinned. "Oh, I'm sure they will. But hey, as long as we stick together, we can handle anything. Right, team?"
"Right!" everyone replied in unison.
They exchanged smiles and started making plans for their next steps in this strange Minecraft world. Little did they know, Merlin was already planning their next challenge, a test that would push their limits even further. But for now, they were content. They had survived the Blood Moon, grown stronger, and—despite everything—were enjoying their time together.
The next morning, the group was gathered around their crafting table, preparing to take on their next big project. They'd decided to work on expanding their base even further and stockpile materials, but something unexpected happened. As Ayaka was placing wood into the crafting grid, she suddenly stopped and looked around, sensing something strange.
"Wait... Did anyone else just hear that?" she asked, furrowing her brow.
The others paused, listening closely. But there was nothing—just the usual sounds of their blocky world.
"I didn't hear anything," Shirou said, scratching his head.
"I think Ayaka's hearing things," Hakuno teased. But then, she too froze, glancing around suspiciously. "Wait, what if it's... a new event?"
Ayaka didn't look convinced. "No... this is different. It felt like someone was calling out to me."
Suddenly, Ritsuka perked up. "Hold on. I think I get it now. I've been messing around with some random commands I saw earlier, and there's one that I didn't try... I think we can use our voices to open a 'chat' function."
"Chat?" Shirou asked, looking confused.
"Yeah," Ritsuka said, a grin slowly spreading across his face. "I mean, we're in this weird world where magic and weird systems are a thing. What if we could open a chat window with the system just by saying something?"
The others stared at him for a second. It didn't sound too out there—after all, this place was full of strange surprises.
"Okay, but how do we do that?" Ayaka asked skeptically.
Ritsuka cleared his throat dramatically. "It's simple! You just say the word 'open chat,' and the chat window will appear. I tried it a couple of times and it works."
The others exchanged looks, intrigued but a little unsure. "Let's test it then," Shirou said, always up for a new challenge.
Ritsuka raised his voice. "Open chat!"
And just like that, a small window appeared in front of them, flickering for a moment before stabilizing. It was a simple text box, a blank space where they could type, except there was no keyboard.
"Whoa," Ayaka muttered, leaning in to read the tiny text at the top. "It worked..."
Ritsuka, smiling like he'd just cracked the code, began typing. "So... what is this exactly?"
As he finished typing, a response immediately appeared in the box.
[SYSTEM: Welcome to the chat! You can use this to send commands, ask for help, or talk with each other!
Shirou looked at it for a moment before shaking his head in disbelief. "That's... unexpected."
"So, I guess we can just type whatever, and it'll do something?" Hakuno asked, tapping the air near the chat box as if she expected something to happen. "Can we command the system?"
Ritsuka nodded. "Yep, looks like it. But I'm guessing we can't abuse it too much. It's probably like a limited-use feature."
"Let's see what happens if I type something," Ayaka said, leaning over to give it a try. She typed, "Give me some diamonds."
[SYSTEM: Request denied. Please provide valid reasoning for such a command.
Ayaka groaned. "It's picky. Maybe I need to say something important."
Hakuno snickered. "What's 'important' to the system? Maybe try asking for some food instead."
"Food it is," Ayaka replied, typing once more. "Give us 10 steak."
[SYSTEM: Request granted. Enjoy your steak!
A moment later, a pile of cooked steak appeared in front of them.
Shirou blinked. "Okay, that was... pretty cool."
"Nice! So it's basically like a cheat code for the world," Hakuno said, grinning. "I wonder what else we can do with this."
The group spent a few minutes experimenting with the new feature. They quickly realized they could ask for things like basic resources, tools, or even teleportation, though the system was rather picky about certain things.
"Okay, so no asking for full diamond armor, then," Ritsuka said, typing out a request for a full set of diamond gear and getting the same rejection as Ayaka did earlier.
"What about commands like crafting recipes?" Shirou wondered aloud.
Ayaka quickly tried typing in, "Show me how to craft a bed."
[SYSTEM: Crafting recipe for bed: 3 wood planks, 3 wool.
"Hey, it worked!" Ayaka said, her eyes bright with excitement. "This is awesome. I can just ask for anything we need and the system will show me the recipe."
Ritsuka grinned. "This is going to make everything so much easier. We could build, farm, and craft like this forever."
But as the group continued to experiment with the chat, something unexpected happened.
[SYSTEM: Warning: Overuse of commands detected. Please avoid excessive reliance on chat for optimal experience.
"Whoa, did it just... warn us?" Ritsuka asked, surprised.
"Looks like we can't go too wild with this thing," Shirou said. "That's fair. We don't want to rely on it too much."
Ayaka frowned but nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we should use it wisely. But it'll definitely make things easier when we're in a pinch."
The group spent the next hour discussing how best to use the chat, realizing they could combine their powers and resources to make this world their own. They could craft, build, and survive, and it seemed like they had a whole new way of approaching challenges, thanks to this new feature.
Ritsuka stretched and yawned. "Alright, team. We've got a world to conquer. With the chat feature, our teamwork, and magic, we're unstoppable."
Everyone nodded, and with a renewed sense of purpose, they set off to expand their world, ready for whatever Merlin had in store next. After all, with this new tool at their disposal, they were in a much better position to face whatever pranks or challenges came their way.
After a few hours of experimenting with the chat function, Shirou grew more and more curious about the potential of this strange new world. His mind was racing with possibilities, and the more he thought about it, the more he wondered how far he could push the boundaries of this "game."
"Okay, so we've got magic, we've got some basic crafting abilities… but what if I could combine the two? Could I make a golem?" Shirou mused aloud as he fiddled with some leftover wood and iron in his inventory.
Hakuno, who was nearby, raised an eyebrow. "A golem? Like a giant, walking chunk of stone?"
"No, no, not stone," Shirou said, grinning. "More like... a wooden golem first. Let's see what happens."
He quickly opened the chat and typed: "Craft wooden golem"
[SYSTEM]: You cannot craft a golem directly with the chat. Please specify the necessary components for golem creation.
"Huh," Shirou muttered, frowning. "Looks like it's not that easy. Alright, let's try this the old-fashioned way." He grabbed some wooden planks and sticks from the crafting table.
After a moment of thinking, he started assembling the pieces on the ground. He stacked the planks in a rough humanoid shape, with sticks for limbs. The structure was crude, but Shirou's hands moved with surprising precision. He wasn't sure exactly what he was doing, but he had an inkling of how things might work.
"Alright, I think that's good," Shirou said, stepping back from his creation. "Now... let's see if this works."
With a slight grunt, he placed a wooden slab on top of the golem's torso and activated a simple trace spell that he had practiced back in the real world—creating a familiar shape with his magical circuits. The wooden golem flickered into existence with a crackling hum of magic, its body suddenly coming to life.
It moved its limbs clumsily at first, as if unsure of how to walk, but it soon adjusted and stood upright, staring at the group with its empty, wooden eyes.
"Whoa," Ritsuka said, eyes wide. "It actually worked! You made a golem! I didn't think that would happen."
Shirou scratched the back of his head. "I didn't expect it to work either, but hey, this is cool."
The wooden golem took a few steps forward, knocking into the crafting table with a soft thud, and then stopped, looking around in confusion. It didn't seem particularly aggressive, just... confused.
"It's not bad," Ayaka remarked, clearly impressed. "But it's a little slow. Maybe it needs some upgrades."
"True," Shirou agreed. "But this was just the start. Let's try something else."
Feeling encouraged by the success of the wooden golem, Shirou decided to try his hand at something a little stronger. He gathered up some iron ingots, which they had mined earlier, and placed them in a similar pattern on the ground.
"Alright, if the wooden one worked, this should be even better," Shirou muttered as he finished crafting the basic shape of an iron golem.
He then quickly used his magic to infuse the golem with life, using the trace spell to solidify the iron into a more structured form. After a brief moment, the iron golem's hulking body suddenly sprang to life, the metal clanking as it moved its massive arms and legs. Its face was more solid and defined than the wooden golem, with glowing eyes that seemed to pierce the air.
"Iron golem!" Hakuno cheered, looking impressed. "This one looks much more powerful than the wooden one."
The iron golem let out a low, mechanical sound as it turned its head to face them. It seemed more stable than the wooden one and much more menacing in appearance.
"Okay, now this is cool," Shirou said with a grin, stepping back to admire his handiwork. "I think we've got a solid team here."
The iron golem flexed its massive arms, clearly ready for action, and took a few deliberate steps forward, each footfall making the ground shake slightly. It wasn't as graceful as a human, but it certainly had the power to defend.
"I think this could be useful," Ayaka said, nodding thoughtfully. "If we get attacked again, we'll have these guys as backup."
Shirou grinned. "Exactly. Plus, they'll help us with gathering resources. We don't have to do everything ourselves."
"I think you've cracked it, Shirou," Ritsuka said, clapping him on the back. "We've got golems for defense, and now we can expand even faster."
Shirou smiled, feeling a little proud of himself. "I think I've only scratched the surface. Who knows what else we can build?"
The group spent a little more time testing the golems out. The wooden one wasn't particularly strong, but it was good for helping with basic tasks, like gathering wood or protecting the perimeter of their base. The iron golem, on the other hand, was a formidable guardian, perfect for dealing with threats.
"Alright, I think we're set," Shirou said after a while. "We've got golems, we've got magic, and we've got each other. Let's keep expanding and see what we can do next."
As they all agreed to work together, Ritsuka couldn't help but smirk. "With these golems, Merlin won't know what hit him when he tries to throw us into another prank."
Shirou laughed. "Let's be ready for whatever he has in store. I'm sure it won't be the last surprise."
The group spent the rest of the day tinkering with their new creations, sending the golems off to gather resources, defend the base, and do whatever they needed. With their new wooden and iron golems on their side, they were more confident than ever, knowing that no matter what Merlin threw at them, they could handle it(hopefully...).
And as night fell, they sat back, feeling the satisfaction of a job well done, knowing that this strange Minecraft world was now their playground.
The next morning, as the team continued expanding their base, Hakuno ventured a little further from their home to explore. She had a curious glint in her eye as she walked through the rolling hills, her thoughts running wild with the possibilities of the world around them. Shirou, Ayaka, and Ritsuka were busy with various projects, but Hakuno wanted to see if there were any other mysteries hidden beyond their immediate area.
As she wandered deeper into a forest, something unusual caught her eye—a faint purple glow shining through the trees. Intrigued, Hakuno quickened her pace, following the light until she broke through the last row of trees. What she saw took her by surprise: a ruined nether portal.
The frame of the portal, made of obsidian, was partially intact, though a few blocks had been damaged and were missing. The swirling purple glow inside was faint, almost like it was struggling to stay active. There was something eerie about the portal, and the fact that it seemed abandoned made it even more intriguing.
"Whoa," Hakuno murmured to herself. She took a cautious step forward, studying the strange structure. "A ruined Nether portal... How is this even possible in this world?"
She'd heard stories about the Nether, a dangerous dimension full of fire, lava, and hostile creatures. She wasn't sure what the portal's condition meant, but she knew it was something significant.
Hakuno knelt beside the portal and examined it more closely. The blocks around it were cracked and weathered, as if time had worn them down. She touched one of the obsidian blocks gently, and her fingers tingled slightly, as though the portal was trying to react to her presence.
After a few moments, Hakuno stepped back, her curiosity burning. "I should tell the others about this. This could be something important... or a trap."
She quickly made her way back to the base, excited to report her find. As she approached, Shirou was hammering away at a crafting station, Ayaka was organizing their resources, and Ritsuka was tinkering with some new ideas for the golems.
"Hey, guys! You won't believe what I found!" Hakuno called out, her voice full of excitement.
The group turned to her, their faces lighting up with curiosity.
"What is it?" Ayaka asked, putting down the blocks she was holding.
Hakuno grinned. "A ruined Nether portal. It's a little broken, but it's definitely there. It's got a faint purple glow coming from inside, like it's still active. I've never seen anything like it."
Shirou raised an eyebrow, wiping his hands on his pants. "A Nether portal, huh? That's pretty strange. Aren't those supposed to be pretty dangerous?"
"Yeah, I've heard of them," Ritsuka said, crossing his arms. "But they can also be a shortcut to another dimension. If the portal's still active, it could be an opportunity to gather new materials... or maybe fight some really tough mobs."
Ayaka nodded thoughtfully. "But if it's ruined, how do we even use it? I mean, it's not like we can just walk through it, right?"
"That's what I'm wondering," Hakuno admitted. "It's kind of flickering. But maybe we can fix it somehow?"
Shirou's eyes gleamed with interest. "We've got tools, magic, and even golems. If anyone can figure out how to fix it, it's us. But we'll need to be careful. The Nether isn't exactly a friendly place."
"I'm in," Ritsuka said, clearly excited by the challenge. "It could be fun to explore. Plus, if we can repair the portal, we might get access to some really useful resources."
Ayaka sighed, but a small smile crept onto her face. "I guess we can give it a try. As long as we don't end up in lava the second we step through."
Shirou nodded. "Alright, let's get to work. We'll need to gather the right materials to fix the portal first. Let's see if the chat function can help us with that."
He quickly opened the chat, typing: "Repair Nether portal"
[SYSTEM]: To repair a Nether portal, you need 10 obsidian blocks and a flint and steel. Proceed with gathering the necessary resources.
"Looks like we just need obsidian and flint," Shirou said. "We already have plenty of iron, so flint will be easy enough to get. And we've mined some obsidian before."
Hakuno nodded. "I'll go grab the flint. Shirou, can you start mining the obsidian? The others can help collect the resources while we get this portal ready."
With the plan set, the group split up. Hakuno ventured to the nearby gravel patches, breaking blocks and collecting flint. Shirou, Ritsuka, and Ayaka headed to the nearest cave to mine the obsidian. It didn't take long before they had the necessary materials.
Shirou returned first, a few blocks of obsidian in hand, and quickly began rebuilding the frame of the portal. Ritsuka and Ayaka returned shortly afterward, their arms loaded with additional obsidian, and began helping him finish the structure.
Once the portal was fully repaired, Hakuno approached with a flint and steel in hand. "Alright, I've got it," she said, holding it out. "Shall we give it a shot?"
The group gathered around, eyeing the portal warily. Hakuno took a deep breath and ignited the flint and steel. A spark caught on the portal frame, and with a loud whoosh, the purple glow of the Nether portal flared to life once again.
"Whoa, it's actually working!" Ayaka exclaimed, stepping back.
The portal crackled and hummed, the swirling purple vortex now full of swirling energy, beckoning them to step through.
"Well, I guess we've got our next adventure," Shirou said, clapping his hands together. "Let's stay on our toes. The Nether's not a place to take lightly."
"Ready when you are," Ritsuka said, excited. "Let's go see what this dimension has to offer."
Hakuno grinned. "After you, brave adventurers."
With that, the group stepped forward, ready to face whatever challenges the the nether would throw at them.
End of Chapter 1.
