Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, Hawkgirl, Blue Beetle, and Firestorm set up with Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Robin, and Black Adam in Kahndaq. While Black Adam settled himself in the Rock of Eternity to amplify the power of the living lightning, both sides checked to make sure their secret plans were ready. Blue Beetle confirmed his sword construct had the ability to capture a sample of the living lightning without being detected, and Wonder Woman confirmed Cyborg had the ability to pull Doomsday out of the Phantom Zone quickly. Hawkgirl reported everything was ready to Blaze, who was standing by in Metropolis, or rather where Metropolis used to be, standing by with Batman, Supergirl, Belial Aether and Black Diamond, prepared to strike at sunrise. Now, we've delayed the strike long enough. The time has come. So let's do this...

(The scene resumes back overlooking the Skull Ship, the sun has started to pierce the horizon, and Blaze is looking on, just about ready to give the order to strike, but first, she looks to her companions: Batman, Supergirl, Belial Aether, and Black Diamond.)

Blaze: Once I give the order, there's no going back. Are you four sure you want to do this?

Belial Aether: Blaze, I'm with you to the end.

Supergirl: As am I.

Batman: We may not have reacquainted on the best footing, but there's no one I trust more to lead this.

Black Diamond: It seems the vote is in favor of confidence in you, my dear. Who would I be to go against it? Especially when I believe it.

Blaze: Alright then. Here we go. May the Ancestors look after us.

Blaze, Supergirl, Batman, Belial Aether, and Black Diamond: May the look after us all.

(With that, after getting over her surprise that they knew exactly where she was going with that line, Blaze makes a phone call back to Kahndaq, where Hawkgirl picks up. We don't hear the call, but we know what it is the second she hangs up)

Hawkgirl: (To the others present) It's time.

Wonder Woman: About time.

Blue Beetle: Let's do this.

Hawkgirl: Right then. Adam, let her rip!

(Hawkgirl holds her mace at the tip of Blue Beetle's transmuted sword construct as Black Adam summons the living lightning from deep within the Rock of Eternity. Feeling it course through him, he lets out one triumphant cry to start the end of Brainiac)

Black Adam: SHAZAM!

(With that cry, the living lightning jets out from the portal to the Rock of Eternity, landing at the crux point between the mace and the sword. A portion of the charge secretly being collected while the majority concentrates in the head of the mace, which Hawkgirl takes into the air and after swinging the mace around, releases the amplified charge, a stream of electricity following from the sword to supplement it, sending the bolt flying across continents. On the ground, Cyborg opens a boom tube back to Metropolis ready to go whenever Hawkgirl lands. Meanwhile, we return to just there as the bolt arrives, having not lost a jot of charge as it strikes the Skull Ship, disabling the force field, and jostling Brainiac and Doctor Fate around inside)

Brainiac: (To Doctor Fate) Call your master, my calculations indicate this will be bad.

(Meanwhile back outside, the Skull Ship's force field completely falls just as it releases an army of attack drones.)

Blaze: That's our opportunity! Everybody move it!

(Blaze and her team take flight, with Supergirl carrying Batman while Belial Aether and Black Diamond ride on Blaze's back. Battling through the aerial attack drones, Blaze sees the armies of ground based drones are preparing to fire up at them, but before one can, Raiden and Black Lightning zap it with lightning, Sub-Zero, Mister Freeze, and Captain Cold freeze another few, Red Tornado and Aero blow a few around, John Constantine, Zatanna, and Kent Nelson hit multiple with magic, Deathstroke and Deadshot unload clip upon clip of ammunition into a few more, and soon the portal from Kahndaq opens allowing Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl and the rest to join the battle. The entirety of the Republic, Legion, Insurgency, and Regime handle the ground troops while the strike team nears the Skull Ship, just as the force field starts to reform)

Batman: Our window of opportunity is closing!

Blaze: Fly faster then!

(Sure enough, Supergirl manages to speed up and so does Blaze, and the quintet makes it through the final gap in the force shield, finding the wound made by the lightning and making their way into the Skull Ship through it, which Flash notices from the ground, with Hellboy and Catwoman at his side)

Flash: They made it in!

Hellboy: Now they've just got to shut Brainiac down.

Catwoman: Not to mention find the dragons and Superman.

Flash: Let's hope they can do this.

(With that bit of hope, this trio rejoins the battle on the ground, as the shot pans back up towards the Skull Ship, the ominous angle clearly indicative of how sensitive the situation is right now. Everyone is unsure of victory, and the glare of the Skull Ship isn't helping, as our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. So, the plan worked! In such a way that using the amplified living lightning managed to break the Skull Ship's force field, as well as the hull of the ship itself, and Blaze and her team have made it inside. In that way, the plan worked. We don't know how it's going to go from here. Especially since Blaze and company have no idea that Darkblood and Brainiac are in an alliance right now. But they'll find out soon enough. So is the overall plan going to work? Will Blaze and company be able to find Spyro, Cynder, and Superman? Will they defeat Brainiac and restore the cities he's stolen? You'll have to tune in next time to start finding out as Year Seven's main storyline finally gets under way.
