AN: Hey guys, it's been a while. I'm not entirely sure if this is going to be a full-fledged story or not. but I might as well get this out of my head and on to the website.
I've been following the fan-made Legend of Zelda series called Linked Universe, Which tells the story of what if all the links went on a journey together. While reading the first book of the rising of the shield Hero light novels and watching a bit of the anime, i thought what if instead of four Japanese teenagers from other worlds. what if it was the hero of Hyrule from different points in time? so enjoy! please check out the linked universe comic made by Jojo on Tumblr.
" The summoning was a success!" said the strange man in the robes to his colleagues.
' what's going on?' thought The older member of the chain. Just as he'd thought he's seen it all from growing up in kokiri forest, To exploring the Kingdom of Hyurle, and traveling the world of Termina To stop the moon from crashing. He noticed a Spear, his hand was gripping. It resembled the biggoron sword But with a distinct Red gem in the middle.
He could feel it radiating magic similar to the master sword or The ocarina of Time. He looked to his left and right and saw his comrades he was traveling with earlier, well some of them. He sees the hero of the minish with his four sword, but it had a blue gem in the center. he sees the hero of the wild with his Falcon Bow with a green gem in the center. He sees his descendant, the hero of Twilight having The hylian shield with a green gem in the middle.
" Heroes, please save our world." Said the one of the men in the robes.
"what do you mean by that?" asked the hero of Twilight as he was fidgeting with his new found shield.
" The story is long and complicated, we feel it best if you discussed with an audience of our King" Said one of the The robed men.
" very well, we will follow you towards your kingdom's leader in order to get a better explanation" Said the hero of time.
During their walk to the king's chambers, they looked out the window and saw the land. They couldn't help but be reminded of Hyrule in some areas.
as the four Heroes follow the robed men, they are reminded of the stories of their companions such as The hero of Legend having gone to Lorule, The hero of warriors going to many places across time because of a sorceress whom lusted for him, The hero of time is reminded of his adventures in Termina. they looked out the window. It's safe to say, that they are not in Hyrule anymore. "I'm sure The others would have loved this or absolutely hated this" said The hero of the minish. " You're probably right." replied the hero of the wild.
The doors to The throne room open, sitting high on a throne is an white haired gentleman which the heroes assume is the king. One of the individual wearing the robes announce the presents to the king in his court. " your majesty, the heroes have been summoned" they all bowed to show their respect To this nation's monarch.
The King observed The four Heroes... though his gaze lingered on a little longer on the The shield hero. " so these are the heroes? my name is King Aultcray Melromarc the thirtieth, please Heroes introduce yourselves."
being the de facto leader of the group, the hero of time chose to introduce them. " your majesty, we all share the same name and it is link. To avoid a lot of confusion in our travels, we have referred to ourselves by our titles rather than our name."
" travels? are you saying that this isn't the first time you've meeting each other?" asked the king in shock and curiosity. " Yes, we were on a quest with more of our companions before your summons, your majesty" replied the hero of Time.
" I see. well then, please tell us your titles, sir link" the king said as he quickly regained his Composure. The hero of Time introduced himself, "My name is Link And they call me The Hero of time and I am a proud knight of Hyrule."
The next hero who stood up was the Sword Hero.
"As you may probably guess my name is Link as well, But the title I'm referred to is the Hero of the Minish, and I am a blacksmith by trade."
" I Guess I should Go next. hello, I'm Link and I'm a knight of Hyurle as well. I am called the Hero of the Wild." replied the Bow hero.
" Alright i guess im ne-" The hero of Twilight said before he was interrupted by the king. " so Time , Minish, and Wild? Am i correct ?"
"exuse me your Majesty, you have skipped me." Twilight politely stated. "oh, Forgive me, young hero. Please introduce yourself." The King quickly stated.
" Well I'm a fellow Link, and I'm a farmhand mostly, And while I'm Not officially knighted, I do have some combat experience. my title is the hero of Twilight." with his Introduction out of the way, the king went on to explain the situation.
So apparently, there are these waves That plague these lands, and happens every once in a while. they Unleash monsters of many types. Apparently, this kingdom fought off the first wave, but lost a lot brave men And suffered some Collateral damage. in the process. They felt It was needed to invoke an ancient ritual to summon four heroes to deal with this problem. The heroes offered their condolences for this kingdom's loss.
while the King was talking, Wild started getting flashbacks to when King Rhoam was explaining The task of sealing Calamity Gannon to him and the Champions. Minish asked if he was okay, but Wild reassured his companion that he was fine.
"So that is the reason behind your summons. We require your aid to protect our world from the waves of catastrophe." Said the king. "so, I ask this, brave heroes. Will you please help us save our world?" The Hero of Time replied."Very well. We will aid you, If you promise to Send us back to which we came once this is all over."
"Very well, We will do our best to accommodate your request." replied the king "Now please, check your status"
" Forgive my ignorance your Majesty. I'm haven't heard of this 'status' before " The hero of the Minish replied. A man stepped up, This man has to be the king's advisor. "The heroes of old have explained it as a small box in the left side of your vision. you would have to focus on it in order to access it." Our heroes did so.
"its almost like a Sheikah Slate" said the hero of the bow /wild. A bunch of information was displayed in front of them. they Had a look at the information written in their Hylian

After getting an explanation about what 'level' means, they commented on their stats.
"This is a bit concerning." replied the hero of Twilight. "What do you mean?" asked the hero of the wild. "It says my attack is three. And my defense is really high. It also states that my attack would have been zero if not for some interference during the summoning." The hero of Twilight replied.
"I suppose it's not such a bad thing, all things considered. The good news is that we can raise these so-called levels By slaying monsters and absorbing their remains Into our weapons. Am I reading this correctly?" asked the hero of the Minish.
"nothing to worry about, can work together to improve ourselves and during the waves." said the hero of the wild. " Pardon my interruption, but it is stated that the heroes can't live together. Any experience gained will be cancelled out just by being in close proximity of each other." Stated the King's advisor. They all received a notification from their weapons.
NOTICE: The Legendary weapons and their owners will experience adverse effects if they fight together. It is preferable that the heroes remain separated when possible.
"Of course, it's never that easy, is it?" Asked the hero of the Minish. "I'm afraid it never is." Replied the hero of time. "Please, heroes, come. Enjoy the feast we have prepared for you. And you'll be shown to a nice room So you can rest and prepare for the challenges that lay ahead." Said the king.
During the feast they ate till they were content. The hero of the wild actually asked some of the chefs for the recipe for these dishes. They exchanged a lot of recipes to each other.
Later that evening, our heroes were led to a luxurious room by a maid. The Chain comprehends what was said earlier and begin reading everything on their stats and how their legendary weapons worked. it was quickly discovered That You had to use the whatever the legendary weapon was and nothing else. they traded items and weapons to help each other get stronger.
they also Discovered That could copy weapons of the same kind by touch. They also discovered that experience can be shared by forming a party with someone And you do so by sending an invitation to that person.
"so apparently these looked A Little different , But some Interference has turned them into some weapons we already use. or in the case of the hero of time, turning his sword into a spear That closely resembles it. interesting" Minish stated.
The hero of Time was Playing his ocarina while everyone else was talking. A bit later he decided to experment. he had placed his masks And items into the absorption of the spear

abilities include: while Using this spear, your strength, Defense, and Attack power will Increase by 50%. You will given The ability to roll at high speeds and damage your opponents, can walk thogh lava without taking damage.
NOTICE: Can't swim while using this Spear.
[Zora Spear] Unlocked
(Must be level 10 to obtain)
abilities include: Can breathe underwater, Can swim very well and fast. able To shoot boomerangs like projectiles. can form an electric shield around one's self.
[Fierce Deity's Spear] Unlocked
(Must be level 90 To obtain)
abilities include: your strength, attack and defense Increase by 200%, can lock on to foes and shoot Beams at them.
[Blue ocarina Spear] Unlocked
(Must be level 200 to obtain)
abilities include: this Spear you can travel back to day you where first summoned to this world. you will maintain your current level, your memories, and items as well.
" interesting.." commented the hero of time as he examined the new Spears he can get as he becomes stronger.
"i know right, my skills I have gotten from Rescuing The spirits of my fallen comrades from the Divine Beast, Have turned into their own bows. there's The bow of Mipha's Grace, Which would allow me to heal anyone, even if they're on the point of death.i gotta be Level fifteen to get it. then there's the bow of Revali's Gale. Which would allow me to create an updraft, Perfect for those who can glide. Or I can use it in unconventional methods to create a strong gust of wind. i have to be Level twenty. the bow of Urbosa's Fury, which would allow me to unleash lighting on my enemies. i have to be level twenty-five for that. then there is the the Bow of Daruk's Protection, which I can form a defensive shield around myself or others. also level twenty-five" replied the hero of the wild. "I'm surprised that there's not any restrictions on the Sheikah Slate or the Master cycle zero" he added.
"i am surprised that it isn't restricting the four sword that much, and i can still shink to the size of the Minish. but my clones are the same level as me." replied the hero of the Minish.
"well at least my attack isn't completely zero and there's no restriction on my wolf from" said the hero of Twilight.
"we have encountered odds that others would have said would impossible and prevailed. now we will do the same here. but remember to use caution" replied the hero of time. the others agreed with the statement. With that, they Got their rest to prepare for tomorrow's challenges.
As the daylight slowly crept through the window, they woke up. They were ushered To the throne room once again. There stood the king Along with the adventurers that they assumed volunteered to join their quest.
"So how is this going to work? Do we pick who joins us or do they pick us?" asked the Hero of the Minish. "The latter, Hero of the sword and Minish." replied the King. "Adventurers, please select your companions." commanded the King.
they did so. Those adventurers gather around and chose their heroes.The Hero of Time, much to his bewilderment, had an all-female party for some reason. the Heroes of The Minish and Wild had a more mixed group... but The Hero of Twilight had no one. "ummmmmm, what ?" Said hero, asked, bewildered by the lack of people willing to come with him.
"This was unexpected." Said the king. His advisor quickly whispered into his ear. "It seems that there are rumors going around that the Shield Hero lacks knowledge of this world."
"that is Ridiculous. By that logic, we shouldn't even have companions at all." replied the hero of the Minish.
"I'll be in his party." Replied a woman in the Hero of Time's group. She had emerald eyes and red hair. Those physical descriptions reminded the hero of his beloved. But he can tell that she grew up a noble unlike his beloved Malon. "Are you certain, m'lady?" he asked. "yes, sir Hero. It'd be wrong for the shield hero to traverse by himself." She Replied.
"very well." He accepted her reasoning. She went over to the Hero of Twilight and introduced herself as Myne Sophia. The King went on to explain that the heroes will be getting an allowance to buy whatever necessities they need for the waves And the shield hero's allowance will be higher than the others' due to the fact that he has less people.
The group of Links said their fair wells and wished each other good luck as they partied for their new journey to save this other world. The hero of Twilight and Myne decided it'd be best to check out the Blacksmith's shop to see if there was anything useful for them. they made their way down town untill they reached a shop with a Large sign in the shape of a sword that was hanging above a Wooden door. The hero of Twilight decided not to get any armor because he already had some useful stuff that he was summoned in.
they entered The shop And were greeted by displays of wepons and armor. they where greeted by a Large well bulit man " hello, welcome to my shop. my name is Erhard, How can i help today?" before The hero of Twilight could say anything Myne spoke up. "yes sir, we're here To see if you could provide us with some wepons and armor. afterall You're one of the best blacksmith in the kingdom of Melromarc."
"well, thank you for the Complment ma'am. Now, let's see about finding You and your Friend something usefull." he noticed the hero of twilight looking at the swords with a defeeted look. " What's the matter? are these swords A litte out of your price range?" he asked. "It's not like That. it's Just I can't use swords" the hero replied. " Don't worry about it. with some practice you'll be able To do it." Erhard said trying to reassure a potential customer That seemed like a nice guy.
" It's not That. I have some decent experince with A blade, but this shield will not allow me To use any other weapon" The hero said. Erhard looked down at The shield . "Wait are you one of those heroes The Kingdom has summoned?" he asked shocked. The hero of Twilight Chuckled. " That I am. my name is Link. if You happen to meet The other heroes, just know We All share The same name. please call me twlight."
"very well Mr.Twilight, can I examine your shield?" The hero give a nod of approval. he did so , commenting on How The shield was radiating magic And asking about It's ability to limit the weapon you're using. The hero could only shrug his shoulders. he looked at The shields in the shop to copy them.
"you know, the sword hero whom we call Minish, is also a blacksmith. i think you two would get along." the hero Said trying To Make Smalltalk while Myne was trying some armor And he was copying The shields. "Really now? well next time you see him tell him to vist and we can talk shop. i'd love meet a fellow master of smithing" replied Erhard. the hero gave his word to do so.
"so how much is this going to cost?" the hero of twilight asked pulling out his satchel getting A handfull of rupees. " whoa , hold up . Don't Just whip around precious gemstones like that. there are people That Would kill for That kind of wealth." replyed The blacksmith frantically.
"sorry, I guess I'm so used to the currency of my homeland that I forgot you guys use coins." the hero Said as he sheepishly put back his rupees And pulled out The Coins he was given by The King. " It's okay , It's an honest mistake. Just be mindful because your currency might be worth a lot more here" replied Erhard. " regarding your earlier question, including the heroes discount i'd say around a one hundred and twenty sliver."
"and the buyback price?" asked Myne. "Assuming everything is still in good condition, I would say around 100 silvers." Replied the blacksmith. "Buyback price?" asked the hero of Twilight? "Well once I'm stronger, I'm not gonna need the armor anymore. so i could sell it back" replied his companion. "makes sense" Twilight replied.
" so Link, Are you ready to go face some monsters?" asked Myne. Link's only The reply was the nod. They said their goodbyes to The blacksmith and head their ways to the field.
They made their way to the fields. And on their way they encountered the sword hero Sicing up Small, rubbery creatures. The heroes of Twilight and the Minish exchanged words and advice on how to deal with these small creatures. Twilight kept his promise and told the hero Minish about the blacksmith. He was eager to Discuss his trade with Erhard.
He and Myne Worked together to meet these weak monsters. She had to suppress some anger once she received an invitation to his party. Thanks to his attack not being absolute zero And probably because of the fact that The orange balloon monsters are pretty weak, he was able to level up to level 5 that day. He probably could have leveled up a lot more in his wolf form, but a talk with the Hero of Time Convince all the other links Not to Reveal any tricks Until they are absolutely sure they can trust Their respected parties.
He fed the shield some of those rubbery remains And he unlocked a new shield.
[Orange balloon shield] Unlocked.
Increases defense by 2%.
Myne Told him that there are places that would Buy off monster parts from him. So he decided to hold on to them for now. Much later in the evening, they decided to stop by the inn To get a room and some food. while The food was being cooked, he noticed that the hero of time was staying in the exact same inn. they promptly discussed how their adventure is going so far before
They sat down And got their food at a candlelit table. Myne Sat comfortably drinking her wine while The hero of Twilight ate his food. "Would you like a sip of wine?" she asked. "No thank you. i still remember the feeling i got when The hero of time made me try Chateau Romani." he replied. "what's that?" she asked. "its a milk that has the effects of alchool and grants The drinker unlimited magic for a bit."
' What kind of world did he come from? Milk That get you drunk?' She thought. "interesting, perhaps I'll have to try that one day." She Said as She placed her hand on Link's in a effort to seduce him. "Perhaps We can discuss this further in my bedroom." She said doing her best to be seductive.
The hero of Twight blushed, But then came to his senses and replied. " I'm flattered dont get me wrong, but there's this girl back home. her name is Ilia And grew up togther in our farming village. She Is kind , respectful, and a little bossy at times. The two of You Might get along." he Said as he rambled on and on about his crush from the village he grew. up in.
"Oh, makes sense that such handsome man has a girl back in his home world." Myne Said pretending to care about the conversation. "well, thanks for the compliment." he said flattered at what she said. he then excused himself from the conversation by announcing that he was tired. She then wished him goodnight.
The next moring, our hero woke up to the looking as It was ransacked as he slept. he looked around frantically for his companion , but found nothing. just then two guards cane up to Link.
" excuse me hero, but we need you to come with us."
practically dragged to the the throne room, he was tossed in front of the king of the other heroes. He noticed his female companion. "Myne, are you alright? i didn't see you at the inn. i feared that something -" our Hero said before he was interrupted.
"Silence! you are here because you are accused of a the horrible act of sexual assault of my daughter, Malty Melromarc." the king said. "Wait, what?! this has to be some kind of misunderstanding. tell them Myne." he bagged his companion, only to dispair when she testified that she was violated by him. he looked at her and she stuck out her tongue, an action that didn't went unnoticed by the hero of time. he couldn't let this stand.
"excuse me, your Highness. if i may interject. Is there any evidence to this claim?" he asked. The guards brought out a piece of ripped up lingerie to answer his question. "for all we know that could have been planted. we've known him for a while and he doesn't seem like the kind of person who would do such a hideous act" replied the hero of the Minish.
the king was growing tired of this trial. "perhaps he hid his true colors away from you, Heroes. It is such a shame that you had to figure out this way" he said.
"i don't think so, in her testimony, she said that all she did was go to a room and go to bed, but who are these people she was talking to?" the hero of the wild switch to his shekinah bow and pulls up a holographic image of the princess talking to two guards. He swipes left and the holographic photo shows the two guards entering the room at the inn and planting The evidence. the hero admitted he was taking pictures of the lovely scenery when he came across this
the courtroom gasps in shock. there it was clear as day that the shield hero was innocent... but the king didn't buy it. "it's a trick, clearly to bow hero was in on the plain." the king argued. "Wait a second, your eyes were filled with disdain since the very moment you saw him. you are obviously not a good unbiased judge for this case." replied the hero of the Minish. The heroes took out all the money they got from the kingdom and threw it at the feet of the king.
the hero of time spoke up this time. "The fact that you would not even bother with a proper investigation, says a lot about your character. we will fight for the people of these lands but not for your glory. come on, let's get out of here." The heroes turned around and walked away While the King was berating them for not taking his word And how they are false Heroes. while his daughter, was shocked And offered that The spear hero did not fall for her advances both in beauty and manipulation.
The heroes agreed to meet up at Erhard the blacksmith's establishment after the hero of Twilight suggested it.
AN: hey guys, thanks for reading this. Now I do want to say That after a while of writing this I've decided to make this a one shot And leave it up for adoption. the plans I did have in place were to have the hero of time meet up with Navi, who somehow got teleported to this world and became close friends with the Filolial Queen. maybe have raphtalia be Revealed as a reincarnation of Link and be trained by all the links in this group. the goddess hylia interfered with the summoning to help train the new hero. they would have gotten a Filolial and named her Epona. The Waves including LOZ enemies such as Keese, Stalfos, Bokoblin and others.
