"For many stories there is a moral to each one whenever it is told to viewers, most of them make sense while the others will need a better understanding of what it is. For Ever After High, it is the children to right their names in the storybook of legends where they will take up the mantles of their parents. Adam and the other Eternians haven't been fully aware of what the moral of this reason is, but it is urgent in order for Eternia and the rest of its people to continue forward. Though there are certain stories upon the planet that will react to the storybook as well what path the people will be placed on, whether it be for the good or worse."

Morning-Ever After High

A brand new day had come to Eternia as well its sun coming to shine upon the surface as well the school of fairy tales. Waking up from his first night at Ever After was Adam who couldn't help but felt properly rested since the bed almost felt like a cloud than the bed he had back home. Deciding to head into the bathroom, Adam noticed the door locked as well hearing the water running.

"Morning Keldor."

He greets his cousin as it seemed Keldor was the first one to walk up and used the bathroom first. Taking a moment to look at his side of the room, Adam could see numerous books around the bed and that other types of literature that seemed mysterious.

"I know this isn't the Eternian halls of learning back home and things are unusual, but I hope that we could try and be friends since we're sharing a room."

Deciding to try and act like cousins since they would be living with each other while attending classes within the school. Adam heard no words from Keldor or any response from the other side as he suddenly heard the door open up showing the brown haired bone staring at him with a toothbrush in his mouth.

"The only thing we're sharing is the warm. In which I already used the hot water, the cold's good to wake up for important things."

Keldor stated as Adam looked into the bathroom as he rushed inside to see if Keldor was telling the truth. Just as he freaked out about all the hot water being used for the shower, Keldor took a moment to look at Adam's sword that was leaning against the side. Before having the chance to examine it closer, he heard his cousin coming out and quickly went to getting his supplies ready for the day.

"If we're going to share a room then we have to establish ground rules on how the water is used. Including how you leave the sink."

Adam stated due to Keldor having much of his belongings in the bathroom before he had the time to put in his toothbrush and other items into the room. Just as he was about to start with how they should share the bathroom, Adam saw Keldor's attire which resembled that of traditional sorcerer robes that were different shades of blue. Despite looking like any ordinary student, his skeletal hand made him stand out as if he was cursed.

"Speaking of personal hygiene. How's your hand holding up?"

He asked about Keldor's hand since it appeared that despite it looking horrific, Keldor barely noticed it as well accepted the skeleton hand as if he had been there since birth.

"Nothing more than a lesson in how to properly channel magic. Something you have no interest in since the future king of Eternos cares about his looks and charisma."

Retorting on what Keldor's thoughts were on about Adam since he'd usually care about himself than the responsibilities of being king. While he wanted to respond to him about how he wasn't like that all the time, Keldor left quickly and closing the door behind him. Sighing on the challenge of sharing the room with his cousin and trying to be friends with him, he looked at the clock seeing he was going to be late for his first day at class. Grabbing his clothes and other essentials, he rushes out of the room and accidentally hits someone who was passing by.

"Son of a seven dwarves."

The person spoke from behind the door as Adam looked over to see another prince wearing glasses and not looking like the other boys who tried to impress the girls. From the bag he had and numerous books on the floor, it seemed he was more of the intellectual prince.

"Sorry. Kind of had a moment with my roommate who's my cousin, who isn't exactly fond of sharing a room with me."

Apologizing for opening the door on him and having caused the prince's belongings to drop on the floor. Accepting Adam's help and seeing it was by accident, the two made their way down the hallway so they could make it to glass.

"I'm in the same in the same situation with my brother. He's Daring Charming, he has all the looks and the charms to woe even a dragon. I'm Dexter Charming, his young brother who's still trying to get those talents."

He introduced himself to Adam and the similarities that the two cousins have in common. They made their way towards school hallways as there were numerous students passing by, each different from the last as well from numerous parts of several kingdoms. Adam was curious about each of them and where they came from, it caught Dexter's attention due to how this was his first time here.

"For someone who comes from a family that's kept the balance on Eternia. I thought you'd be used to seeing something like this with your parents."

Commenting on how Adam was captivated from most of his friends here since Dexter knew most of them while growing up. Such as Tiny the giant who despite his size, he was gentle as a sheep. To that of Lilly-Bo Peep who barely controlled her sheep as they were running around uncontrollably and eating several of the plants around the hallways.

"I wasn't the type to socialize with the people my parents met during royal gatherings. But with how many there are here, it could be worthwhile to see where they all come from."

Admitting that he wasn't as talkative as the school would believe him to be as they arrived to one of their first classes. Ancient history and tales with Orko, which was surprising since he was considered the castles spell caster back home. With how many professors know to use magic, it seemed appropriate for him to teach the class in the history of Eternia. Adam found his seats near Krass and the others as the class began to fill up, especially with Raven Queen. Who sat by herself in order to avoid everyone looking at her.

"So this place is better than the learning halls back at Eternos. The cafeteria has foods not like Eternia and they got sports for big guys like me."

Sounding excited due to how there weren't many sports nor activities that could support Krass immense strength and size. It seemed like the others were enjoying the accommodations that Ever After was offering them, except for Teela who didn't seem so thrilled in how she was enjoying her stay in the school.

"Easy for you to say. I've already been asked out by half of the boys here, and I'm not even interested in dating. It's like they've never seen a girl that can throw someone over their shoulders. Right now all I want to do is get my."

"Tea?!"

A voice interrupted Teela's rant on getting noticed by the boys since they've never seen an Eternian girl before since most of them were trained to be skilled in numerous fighting techniques and weapon handling. The person was a girl with teal and turquoise curled hair with a hat on top of it, she showed a craze smile on her face while showing Teela a cup of tea for her. While it was the last thing she'd want due to the breakfast she had eaten at the cafeteria, Teela accepted the cup from the unusual girl.

"It's always important to have tea before letting off steam. Which you seemed to be ready on doing due to how angry you appeared, which is the opposite of mad I represent. But interesting since I'm Maddie Hatter, daughter of the Mad Hatter."

She offered her opinion on the difference between emotions and introducing herself as she pulls out from her hat a scone for Teela to help satisfy her aggression. They heard the bell ring as Maddie rushed over to sit by Raven and not afraid of being daughter of the evil queen. Arriving to the front of the class was Orko who seemed exhausted and had a set of books that was needed to teach the class.

"Sorry everyone. Being a teacher was never in my skill set, I prefer juggling. Shadow puppetry and most importantly, magic!"

Announced in an enthusiastic manner as he makes several streamers and sparks come out of his sleeves to get the class excited for the lesson today. Everyone applauded for his optimistic manner and handing out several of the books by having them float towards the students. Walking over to write his name up on the board so everyone can remember his name.

"Now then class. Let's start with the first lesson, such as how exactly did Ever After High come to Eternia?"

Starting off with a question of how the collaboration of the school and Eternia happened as the students didn't know how to respond since it was a brutal time when their kingdoms came together. The only one to raise their hand up to answer it was Apple White, who showed an upbeat smile and able to answer the question.

"It started when the Evil Queen decided to expand her evil kingdom across other kingdoms. She used her magic to create a portal that accidentally opened one here to Eternia to allow her to make alliances with this world's villains. But it lead to her defeat after King Randor and the ancients banded together with the heroes of Snow White's kingdom in stoping them."

Finishing a detailed summary of how Raven's mother used powerful magic to open up a doorway that lead herself and numerous of her allies to Eternia in the hopes to conquer more kingdoms. It was however her downfall due to underestimating the power of Eternos as well its fearsome warriors along the ancients that watched over the land. Though Apple noticed how Raven wasn't thrilled in hearing her mother's deeds in almost attacking innocents and almost taking over another kingdom.

"But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Though it is intentionally, but I'm sure you'll be different when you become the new evil queen."

She tried to cheer Raven up since there'd be a day where she'd take up her mother's rule as the new evil queen. The purple haired girl said nothing and resumed her writing as the other students do in order to avoid the uncomfortable feeling that was developing within the class room.

"Anywho. With that being handled, the royal families of Eternia were curious about the fairy tale lands as well their most important object across the lands. The Storybook of Legend."

Orko continuing the lecture as he uses his magic to conjure an image of the legendary book that came from the enchanted kingdom. It was unlike anything to the world of Eternia and its residents, specially on how it could determine the future of anyone's stories upon any land it would come into contact with. Before he could ask them a question about the magic behind the book, Teela rose her hand up able to answer his question.

"I read that whoever writes their name upon it will have their futures written and follow in their footsteps. The Ancients believed that despite it coming from the other kingdom, it would also affect the people of Eternia."

She explained on while the book would guide the fairy tale teenagers to their destinies, it would also be able to tell their stories and help guide them towards theirs in the future. Orko nodded to her statement as Teela was corrected that even their names could help them learn about what lies ahead for them when they graduate from the school. With that handled and writing down several notes for them to write, the school bell began to rang announcing that class was over.

"Look at that? Time goes by when our heads are in books. Anyway, there's an important gathering outside in the royal courtyard that each of you will be attending. Make sure to arrive on time, and also show a smile or two when meeting new people!"

Orko spoke out due to while each of their responsibilities was important. It was special they smiled once in a while in order to remember the special things to enjoy before something unexpected happens. With class leaving and no one else in the room, Adam decided to speak with Orko alone since he grew up with the enchanted Trollan when he served his parents.

"Hey Orko. Speaking out magical items that could potentially be useful to the kingdoms of both kingdoms. Do you know anything about magical swords?"

He asked in a subtle tone in order to avoid about his sword talking to him last night since Adam knew he wasn't losing his mind. Scratching the side of his head on magical swords, Orko snapped his fingers showing a collection of books and scrolls to display each enchanted sword across Eternia and the fairytale kingdom.

"Due to the partnership we have with the enchanted kingdom. There countless swords that have earned their names in history, Excalibur. The Vorpal blade and even Robin Hood's bow and arrow due to how they helped best most of the Evil Queen's army. Why the curiosity in weapons?"

The curious Trollan asked on Adam's question in weaponry since he wasn't the time to get into weaponry since he wasn't the combative time unlike Teela and the others. Shrugging at the response since he was curious, Orko continued to look at the books until he looked up a curious article about ancient weaponry.

"Here it is! During the time of the Ancients, there was a council of elders who mastered great magic and used it to guide Eternia's people through the darkness. Most of their inventions could do practically anything, but they had once made a blade that could wield their great power. But no one knows where they put it. Possibly deep in the ocean somewhere or eaten by a whale."

Recalling the council that Adam's father used to serve before taking the title of king and looking after Eternos. It left the blonde hair boy almost speechless since it could be the reason why his sword spoke to him; it came from the council of elders. With his question answered and heading out of the class to let Orko get ready for the next students, it made the prince curious if the sword could be apart of his story due to him being apart of the Storybook of Legends.

Later-Royal Courtyard

The headmaster had gathered a handful of students to the back of Ever After for an important announcement that they'd be the first to hear. Each of them were confused about being called upon and that of what Milton wanted from them, especially how he had the Storybook of Legend on a podium underneath a protective case of glass.

"As you all have heard from your classes. The Storybook of Legends is an important and historical object that has helped maintain the balance of our kingdom and guide the people to their destinies. This will be the first year where an outside world will be apart of our tradition, to which at the end of the week will be Legacy Day."

Headmaster Grimm spoke out which caused a commotion amongst the students to happen since it be the same day where they'd announce their stories and write their names within the book. Each of them seemed excited to follow in their parents footsteps, all except Raven who didn't appear thrilled to be future evil queen of the kingdom.

"While things have just started. It's important we get ahead on what is expected and how it'll turn out, which is why we're having a practice session for when Legacy Day. Who'd would like to come up first?"

He asked the students since they each were excited to speak out their stories since their futures were full of grandeur and excitement. The headmaster saw Stratos's hand raised up in the air due to how his wings made it help him get noticed from the rest of his peers. Allowing the Avian boy to walk towards the podium, he was instructed to place his hand upon the glass frame and speak out in a loud voice on what his destiny will be.

"I am Stratos. And I pledge to follow in the footsteps of my people in becoming their leader for Avion and ally to Eternia. I'll soar through the sky to show any upcoming threat that they are not welcome to start any trouble under my watch."

He spoke boldly before showing off his red wings to his classmates which earned him an applause for how clear and determined his destiny would be. With that being handled, the headmaster decided to allow another student to come up and tell them their future stories. He decided to pick one randomly as it was a white haired girl who didn't seem interested in doing the activity, while most of the Ever After students were curious about her look due to it having skulls and wearing purple garments. The Eternian students knew her as Evelyn Powers, a trouble making witch that was allowed to attend in order to control her magic and be placed on the right path for her future.

"Evelyn. If you would."

Milton asked in a stern tone as she rolled her eyes as his request in telling everyone what her destiny would be. Walking over in a slowly manner and raising her hand, she shows a sinister grin since she would make sure he's regret bringing her up towards the podium.

"I'm Evelyn Powers. And I pledge my name to the storybook of legends to become Eternia's next witch as well mistress of black magic and curses. In which I planned on using towards those who think that I'm just an ordinary spell caster."

She responded with a stare in her eyes towards Adam and the others along the rest of her classmates to show the evil side of what other students destinies will be like. It seemed like Evelyn suited herself well in being a witch to be feared across both Eternia and the enchanted kingdom, except for Raven who kept silent since her destiny was more than being a witch.

"Raven. You're up next."

The headmaster called out her name as all eyes were on her since Raven's destiny was vital for Apple's destiny since theirs was intertwined. Walking up to the podium and placing her hand on the glass frame in a nervous manner, she decided to engage in the practice of speaking out her destiny.

"I'm Raven Queen. Daughter of the Evil Queen, and I pledge to follow my destiny as. As."

She repeated herself in a nervous tone as the others could tell that Raven couldn't finish her sentence. More or less say anything about her destiny into becoming the new evil queen as she could feel the tension of everyone's attention on her. Unable to finish the pledge, Raven decided to change the subject since she had the attention on her.

"Headmaster Grimm. If I can ask about my pledge, what could happen if I don't exactly. Do it?"

Questioning on if she didn't want to follow her role and become the next evil queen. While it didn't seem that much for Raven, it startled everyone in a way which caused each of them to start a commotion on what could happen if anyone didn't write their name in the book of legends. The head master quickly stopped the commotion happening as he had to explain to Raven on the consequences of not following her destiny.

"Raven. While it's an important moment in everyone's life, no one has ever not written their name within the storybook of legends. However, per se if you didn't write your name upon legacy day. Then your story would cease to exist, which in turn. You'd cease to exist."

Responding in a way for Raven to understand how urgent it was for her to write her name and follow the footsteps of her mother. With having heard that and the others looking at her to see if she'd continue with the practice pledge, Raven decided to leave out of the anxiety that was building up from within to avoid the situation that she had gotten herself in. While the other students continued to mutter about the question that was brought up, Adam was having trouble in the consequences of her decision.

"That can't be actually true. The whole 'ceasing to exist' thing, is it?"

The prince asked due to the imagery of someone disappearing right in front of everyone due to them not writing their name in a book was impossible. Though the others showed another concern due to there was more to just Raven being erased from existence due to how Apple was handling the issue.

"It's just more than that. If Raven vanished, then she can't poison me to then not finding my true love. And then to me not becoming queen of my kingdom, meaning that it be the end of everything!"

She panicked due to how Raven was connected to her as the other students tried their best to freak out except for Evelyn. Who was right now holding in a laughter at the chaos that was happening with just one question that Raven started. The headmaster settled the students due to how uncontrollable they were acting since it was important for the rest to understand the importance of their actions.

"There's no need to panic. Raven will come to her senses and write her name in the book, meaning it's your mission to help her understand the importance of her role. Despite it being something she won't like, it's for the sake of everyone on how she's apart of the kingdom's story."

Milton advising their support to help the purple haired girl on how important it was to write her name in the book. With that being handled and the practice session dismissed, it left Adam and the others to question whether or not they'd feast to exist if they didn't write their names in the book. Hopefully it can get resolved before Legacy Day comes, otherwise Adam's parents and the rest of Eternia will question if it's wise to send their children here and learn about their sudden disappearance if they don't write their names in the book.

Later-Below the School

Hiding underneath the bowls of Ever After High in a room filled with old scrolls and books about the enchanted kingdom's past was an old man who looked similar to Milton Grimm. Instead he was skinny and had worn out robes due to the hospitality he was in hiding from the eyes of everyone above him. He was right now looking at Raven who was running into the enchanted forest in order to calm herself from the dilemma she started back at the courtyard.

"The raven has begun to take flight into the sky, not knowing the road that lies ahead. Only to be greeted by a champion that can master both fates at the end."

Speaking in riddilish tongue as the image on the mirror showed a shadowy figure holding a sword in the air as a symbol that will stand with others who seek a better future. The image of Raven soon passes as it showed Apple in her room who looked scared about what happen as well of her looking at a drawing of herself looking of the land.

"An apple grows with such delight, not knowing other fruits that can grown with much light."

He spoke about while Apple had much joy and happiness to share with everyone around her, she didn't know the potential of others as well their own opinions and feelings about what will happen to them. Suddenly the image of Apple becomes shrouded in darkness as the room itself began to feel cold all around, along a wicked laughter that sent a chill down his spine.

"Much turmoil is coming our way. A darkness will emerge, upon Legacy Day."

Sounding worried and scared of the day when everyone's destiny will be written. Within the shadowy image showed a ram's skull with glowing green eyes looking over Ever After High and slowly Eternia, to when Legacy day arrives. An evil will reveal itself, but who would it be is the question that needed answered before it was too late.
