"Wonderland was free. After what felt like a century to the residents of Wonderland believing there was no chance of them exploring Eternia and the Enchanted Kingdom had finally come true. Their former deranged Queen of Hearts has regained her sanity and brought down the barrier to allow the other kingdoms to visit them. Which included King Randor and Queen Snow White coming in to offer medical assistance to anyone who needed it after King Hiss attacked the Queen of Heart's kingdom. But now came the critical decision of what to do with Kobra Khan and the other Snake Men who were captured during the General's announcement of surrendering."
Wonderland-Queen of Hearts Castle
It was a miracle for the two kingdoms above Wonderland to be informed about what had happened to the barrier around the Wonderlandians and their children going up against one of the Evil Queen's deadliest of allies. Assembling in the courtroom was the Queen herself with Randor and Snow White standing by her side, as well as the Grimm Brothers who were brought since they were required to be a part of the session. They were staring at Kobra Khan who was standing in front of the adults with Zodak standing by him if he attempted to attack them.
"Kobra Khan. Having looked at your background to learned that you fled from the Evil Queen and King Hiss's army when they fell, who then survived the terrains of Eternia by himself. Only to reappear and have the Storybook of Legends in your hands to use in bringing them back. Is that not correct?"
Milton Grimm questioned the snake boy about his actions that involved him being a frightened reptile who didn't want to fight to then make amends for his cowardice behavior by reviving King Hiss and the others. Kobra Khan said nothing which indicated it was the truth, Gilles decided to take over since he wanted to bring up what he did after the Snake Men had woken up.
"While in doing so, you turned several Wonderlandians into snake people in the hopes of rebuilding a new civilization. Which at the end didn't go so well when it came to King Hiss siphoning the magic that runs in your veins, correct?"
He asked Kobra about his leader betraying his people in the attempt to destroy Raven, He-Man and their friends without thinking about his fellow reptiles. Kobra said nothing since it was true, King Hiss would risk his people's existence to get rid of anyone who would stand in his way.
"Yes. It's true. I thought the Storybook of Legends could give the Snake Men a different story and find a way for us to live without conquering lands and eating people. Even if my king and the generals couldn't change, I don't regret my actions in bringing them back."
Announcing how he was upset for King Hiss and the generals letting their anger of the past blind them from starting a new life for the Snake Men. It didn't make the snake boy apologize for freeing them to give the reptiles a second chance. It left the five adults to talk amongst themselves about Kobra's response since he was focused on bringing his people back.
"Zodak. What is your opinion on the matter?"
Randor questioned the cosmic warrior about his response to Kobra's statement since he lost his brother to the Snake Men when they faced off against King Hiss. The question made the young man grip the side of his staff thinking about what Kobra said and controlling his emotions about not thinking about the destruction he's caused. However, it didn't matter since he saw for himself how someone who people believed to be evil to be good.
"Apple White had informed me that most of the awakened Snake Men that didn't participate in attacking the Queen of Heart's castle weren't fighters. They were simple folks before being recruited by Raven's mother. Not all of them deserve to be imprisoned."
Zodak shared his response to Kobra's statement about finding a new path for the Snake Men that wouldn't involve them taking over a land so they could find an area they could call home. The adults could tell that Zodak was telling the truth and how they were informed about Raven being responsible for aiding He-Man in taking down King Hiss. Continuing to talk amongst themselves, the Queen of Hearts caught their attention with the tape of her scepter as she wanted to respond to the young men's statement.
"I say let him be with his people."
She declared for Kobra to allow himself to be with the Snake Men who didn't want to fight for King Hiss or General Rattlor and wanted to make peace with Wonderland. The two royal leaders and headmasters looked confused at the Queen of Heart's response to what Kobra's people had done to everyone and attacked her daughter's friends.
"As you know, I've been without my daughter since the downfall of the Evil Queen and that of her armies. I believe the curse she gave me was a way to make me feel what it was like to not have anyone I cared for close to me. As well as the desire to do whatever it takes to get to them, no matter how mad the plan is."
The Queen of Hearts explained what the reason behind the curse was for her when Raven's mother placed it on her. It wasn't meant to make her take her madness out on the people but to make her feel the loneliness of not being around Lizzie. Randor and Snow White couldn't imagine what life would be like if they couldn't raise their children, more or less endanger their kingdoms if they lost their sanity.
"But that doesn't mean I'm not upset; I was ready to cut off the snake's heads when I saw them. However, there's been enough trouble happening in Wonderland. And not the trouble I like causing."
She brought up having no issue with punishing Kobra and the rest of the Snake Men for turning her people into unwilling reptiles. Looking at the Queen of Hearts with questionable looks on their faces on what the Wonderlandian would do, the Queen whistles to the side where everyone sees the White Rabbit running into the room with a scroll in his hand.
"As decreed by the Queen herself and the Wonderlandians who offered their voice in the matter of Kobra Khan. He and his people will be given the Jabberwock Mountain as their resident home. To make amends for their crimes, they will repair the land they had destroyed and community service."
The White Rabbit spoke in a commanding voice about what would happen to Kobra and the Snake Men which caught Randor and Snow White by surprise on what the Queen of Hearts would consider a 'punishment'. Kobra himself was speechless at her declaration of the fate of the Snake Men since they'd be living in Wonderland as ordinary folks. Noticing the queen's glare on him to see if this was adequate, Kobra accepted the responsibility of having the rest of the people repair the damages they had done to everyone since there was a lot of work to do until the debt was paid.
"If that is your declaration, your majesty. Then let it be known by us and the headmasters of Ever After High that the Snake Men will pay for their crimes by fixing the damages in Wonderland. And using their skills to aid others, not for conflict. Agreed?"
Snow White asked the others if they were content with the Queen of Hearts degree since it was lenient and would keep them from Eternia since most of the residents were still afraid of them. If they heard about the Snake Men's work in restoring Wonderland, it could help their image and be welcomed. They gestured to Zodak to take Kobra Khan with the others where the cosmic warrior would bring them back to the mountain where they can begin making it a home and fix the damages they'd done to Wonderland.
"Not to ruin the moment but there is one thing that we must discuss. The whereabouts of the Storybook of Legends."
Milton Grimm spoke out about the cause of this mess was the Storybook of Legends that he'd been looking for after Homecoming. The atmosphere of the room changed to the group becoming concerned with finding the book since it was the means of giving the students at Ever After High their stories.
"Your Majesty? Did you see He-Man or the others with the book when they came back from defeating King Hiss?"
Randor questioned the Queen of Hearts if the champion of Grayskull it in his possession when he came to aid her and the others when her castle was being overwhelmed. The mother of Lizzie shakes her head seeing no signs of the book in either He-Man or the other children's possession which indicates that it might have been destroyed during their battle with King Hiss.
"Milton. While I cannot question the tradition of the Enchanted Kingdom or that of the others who used the book to create their stories. I think we shouldn't find it."
The king of Eternos suggested leaving the book which has caused discord for everyone to be left behind. While Snow White is subtle about the decision to not look for it, Milton is shocked at his suggestion since it could disrupt the balance of everyone and cause more disaster than what they'd just experienced.
"I concur with King Randor. Not everyone should be forced to follow a path they are forced to follow; they should find their own paths to make a story that benefits everyone. All we can do is guide them, like the headmasters we're supposed to be."
Giles Grimm supported the decision to allow the young adults to make their choices and not let a book tell them what they're supposed to be. Milton said nothing but still showed an expression about being against tradition since they didn't know what they were suggesting. He looked over at Snow White to see what her opinion would be about letting the Storybook of Legends be buried somewhere where anyone could find it.
"Currently, we don't know where the book is at the moment since there's much work needing to be done around the forests and other places the Snake Men had rampaged over. I'll have my dwarves look around to see if they can't find it, other than that. We just need to handle preparing the kids for their futures by ourselves."
Snow White suggested that instead of letting a book tell the children about what their stories will be, they'll be the ones to help guide them to their happily ever after. With that being said, the adults decided to leave and prepare to address the rest of Eternia about the return of Wonderland as well as its residents having the chance to see their homes. Just as the Queen of Hearts said her goodbyes to the four, the White Rabbit jumped over to the queen and talk to her about a private matter.
"Your majesty. If they find out about the Storybook of Legends, they'll be angry."
Her advisor questioned that the Queen of Hearts knew something about the book that she didn't tell the others when they arrived in Wonderland. She said nothing to the rabbit since the whereabouts of the book didn't belong to anyone and shouldn't be used for ill intentions. More or less by used by the other kingdoms to put the students on the paths their meant to be on, it wouldn't matter since it would be nothing but a memory by the end of the night.
Night Time-Wonderland High
With the barrier gone and the kingdoms above having the opportunity to visit Wonderland, the students of Ever After High went to celebrate the return of the lost kingdom with a party since it would allow everyone to travel back and forth whenever they wanted to. Music was playing across the speakers and the students were greeting one another and enjoying the festivities, not knowing outside near the balcony was Gwildor. Wonderland High's new vice principal after Courtley Jester sided with King Hiss in exchange for ruling by his side. Standing on a balcony with no one around, he pulled out the Storybook of Legends from his bag since it was recovered by the others when the fighting was over.
"This is a great risk you're doing. Are you sure about this?"
Gwildor questioned the people who were with him since there was a plan to handle the Storybook of Legends without notifying the other kingdoms. The vice principal was with Raven, Adam, Apple White, Teela, and Skeletor who was invited to the private meeting since he stood his ground in protecting the Queen of Hearts and protecting everyone else.
"Things used to be simple: You signed the book; you lived your destiny. But now, if anyone can use the book to manipulate destiny. Then maybe the book is more trouble than it's worth."
Apple spoke out that despite her being dedicated to writing her name in the book and becoming future queen of the Enchanted Kingdoms. She could see how dangerous the book was in the wrong hands and forcing people to act like something else. Everyone was surprised by her announcement since they thought she'd have a different opinion on the matter of what they would do with the Storybook of Legends.
"Don't get me wrong. I still want my happily ever after, but I don't want our stories to be used against everyone and be stolen. They should be ours to choose or to change."
Explaining that they have to be the ones to make their destinies, not let a book tell them what it'll be and how they should accept it. With that being said and knowing what must be done to allow everyone to follow their stories without being forced, Apple handed the book to Raven to which the daughter of the Evil Queen asked the Eternians to place their hands on the book since each of them had a unique magic to help dismantle it.
"Let's hope it works."
Adam spoke in an optimistic tone as he channeled the spark that was in him along with Teela's connection to Grayskull and Skeletor's havoc to start removing the pages from the book. Raven did the same with her newfound magic as they transformed the Storybook of Legends into what could be described as a star. They see it coming apart and flying into Wonderland High as each piece goes into a student that was from the Enchanted Kingdom, Eternia, and Wonderland.
"Now everyone can write their own story. Whether it'll be by our ancestors or make a new path."
Teela announced as she was given her page as well as the others who left like they could do whatever they wished without being afraid of disappearing. They were excited about having the choice to make their stories, all except for Skeletor rolled his eyes and decided to enjoy the party.
"Skeletor. I never got to say thank you for defending the Queen of Heart's castle, maybe there's a bit of good in you."
Adam complimented his cousin about showing bravery and honor when it came to looking after someone he didn't know and fighting with his friends. The undead skeleton gripped his skeleton hand about the compliment and felt insult, leaving him to snap his fingers which summoned him a cup of punch. Everyone thought it was a kind gesture to show that Adam was right that Keldor had a bit of goodness in him. Only to be wrong as Skeletor spills the juice on Adam's shoes.
"Don't think I did this for everyone to get their story. I did this because now I can become the ultimate evil for Eternia and the Enchanted Kingdom since Raven doesn't want the position. So make no mistake, today? We're not enemies. But tomorrow? It's back to causing havoc for everyone."
Skeletor explained his reason for using his havoc power to dismember the Storybook of Legends to take Raven's destiny without anything standing in his way. He walks away from the heroes as he makes it clear to them that he is the villain of all their stories, whether it was written in a book or not.
"He'll be quite troublesome when you all go home, won't he? Either way, I believe there is a party we should be all enjoying."
Gwildor spoke out to help brighten everyone's mood since they should worry about Skeleton's intentions another day rather than think about how Skeletor would plan his next move to take over Eternia and the rest of the kingdoms. Apple White offered her assistance to the new vice principal since this could help her with bringing both of their schools together. Meanwhile, the remaining three stood together since they needed to figure out their situation in being in a love triangle.
"What now? We try to forget about our feelings and move on as friends?"
Teela questions Adam and Raven about their feelings since they each liked one another. While the question was impossible to answer since they went through a lot during their journey in Wonderland, Adam and Raven managed to find a way to resolve it without any hearts being broken.
"While you and the others were helping with any injuries that happened to Chase's men. Raven had an idea to handle what was happening between us."
Adam informed Teela about how they could approach this matter which seemed unlikely due to how they were now the opposite of each other. Raven represents dark magic and Teela wielding the power of Grayskull, yet it doesn't seem to matter now that Raven can control what her story will be from now.
"What I suggested to Adam was that we form a throuple relationship. I mean you like Adam and he likes me, and vice versa. It might help us learn from one another and how to move forward together."
Raven explained how being around them made her feel relaxed as well as allowed them to grow if they dated amongst each other. Teela was shocked by the solution since their dating would make them dangerous due to the magic they represented. Especially how everyone would take it since this was a first for Eternia and the Enchanted Kingdom history. Continuing to think about the consequences, it was stopped by Adam holding Teela's hand which made her worries go away.
"Like Apple said, we should be able to choose our stories from now on. So whatever your choice is, will understand."
He told Teela what her opinion would be on Raven's idea of settling whatever issues they were having amongst each other. The sorceress looked over to Raven seeing how she was willing to be with Teela in the hope they could continue being friends. The Eternian girl couldn't help but punch Adam in the shoulder acting dramatic as she wrapped her arms around him and Raven.
"Let's talk about this when we head back to Grayskull. I think I'm ready to have some fun."
She stated with a smile as the trio made their way to join the party with their friends, it felt like a new start for everyone. Amongst the party was Maddie Hatter and Zodak who were watching from the side as the daughter of the Mad Hatter could tell things were looking bright for her friends.
"You can feel it, can't you?"
The cosmic warrior announced after he'd delivered Kobra Khan back to the mountains where the Queen of Hearts knights would handle repairing the damages they had done to Wonderland. He managed to make it back in time to enjoy the party with Maddie Hatter and the others, only to notice something happening to everyone within the school.
"New couples are coming together. Raven signs her name in the book, and the kingdoms come together. It'll make everyone who is destined for evil take the chance and rush to their destinies."
Explaining that this was a sign of a new start that will bring people together than ever before. It would bring new threats that would seize the opportunity and go after Raven since they would either want her to continue her mother's work in invading kingdoms or take her magic. Maddie took a moment to think about his warning about what come for them, only to respond with a laugh which caught Zodak off guard with how relaxed she took his warning.
"Now I remember why I started dating you, it was to make you smile whenever you act mysterious. Now then, let's meet those new couples you were talking about. Like R'qazz and Briar! Which is funny since they could be called 'Beauty and the Beast' for their couple's name, right?"
Suggesting a nickname for the new couple that was created after the battle between the Queen of Hearts forces and Rattlor's army. Zodak sighed to her response seeing how Maddie would find a way to look for the positive in whatever topic he'd talk about. Deciding to take a lesson from her and worry about the danger later, he obliges Maddie to meet the new couple and see what would be next for them. Not knowing from one of the mirrors was someone watching from within the reflection, which a set of violet eyes were staring at Raven who was dancing with the others.
"My precious daughter, even if you've destroyed the Storybook of Legends and given everyone a chance to make a new story. Yours was already destined at birth and will be the downfall for all of Eternia."
The voice spoke from the mirror as Raven felt a chill coming down her spine as if someone was spying on her. Looking around to see no one trying to talk to her, Raven decided to resume back to dancing with Adam and Teela since it felt like the weight of being forced into her destiny was gone. Things felt like it was going to be great for them moving forward and not thinking about what would happen to her with being the last person to write their name in the Storybook of Legends.
