Blissful Ignorance Chapter 4: The Enclosure, a pokémon fanfic

FLASHBACK

"Thanks again for letting us do this dad. You're really the greatest, y'know that?"

"...promise me you'll keep your siblings safe no matter what"

"...we're gonna train & be strong enough to the point the Pokémon League themselves notice all of us..."

"...there's a few more things I have to explain before you guys set off"

"Now go, your journey starts when you pass those doors"

FLASHBACK OVER

The scene would cut to the Pokémon Habitats managed by Maurice Hopkins. This is around the time where people start off on their own journey & Maurice had just made a speech to the new trainers after being chosen for this ceremony. Usually the habitats are populated by the Pokemon that stop by for a visit, but today there is a high amount of foot traffic by both people & Pokémon alike. The scene would cut to people walking around all over looking at the Pokemon in the different habitats. There would be another scene where groups of people are involved in feeding the Pokemon & getting more familiar with them face to face.

The siblings would be walking around all the different habitats together, talking amongst themselves about a mix of things all relating to one another while taking in the scene around them. They would make a stop at the Pond Enclosure to try seeing the Pokemon that populate the habitat. Freddie would be staring into the clear water looking to see if there are any Pokemon in there, only to quickly back his head away a few seconds later from getting clawed at by a Krabby staring back from under the water. Robin on the other hand would be distracted by a little pink Pokémon hiding in the bushes.

After moving on from the Pond Enclosure, the siblings would be joined by a few of their friends from other places who were also there attending the event & starting their own journeys. They would all be engaged in conversation & reminiscing about past events while laughing amonfst themselves, overall enjoying themselves and having a great time.

After some time of walking around with their group of friends, a number of them have already found their partner but chose to stick around with their friends while they too got to choose their very first Pokemon.

Solange Blanchet-Chaucer, a friend of Robin Hopkins, can be seen having a grand time with her newly chosen Piplup as they are both seen with an expression of joy. Katalina Mendoza, a friend of Ravin Hopkins, can be seen with a little Gothita sitting on her shoulder while she engaged in conversation with Ravin & Caleb, who is another friend of the siblings.

The scene would finally cut to a desert-like enclosure. All of the kids would be standing behind Caleb watching him as he would make his first attempt at choosing the Pokemon that would start it's journey with him

"They said there would be a Desert Enclosure somewhere around here" Caleb would say as he walked in front of the group. "What exactly made you want to choose a desert enclosure in the first place?" Solange would ask out of curiosity as she didn't know Caleb very well. "Yeah, what's so good about a desert? It's always scorching hot" Kate would exclaim as they walked past different habitats. "Both equally good questions, let me explain for you" Caleb would say with a smile as he continued onwards. "I'm not originally from around this region, my family actually moved here from the Unova Region. I lived in Castelia City at first, but then we moved to Nimbasa city after that. We had broken down on the way to Nimbasa from Castelia, in between those two cities there's a huge area of just desert. At the time my parents wouldn't let me go out on a journey after what's happened in all the regions over the years." He'd explain as he walked. "Are you talking about what happened in Unova with Team Plasma?" Ravin would ask, having some insight on those events. "Not just that one, I'm talking about all the others too"

"Anyways, we were stuck in that desert for about 2 days, but while we were stuck I would take that time to go out & explore. I got lost in an old building in the desert, but I got lead back to where my family was by one of the Pokemon in the desert. After that day, I knew I really wanted to go out & embark in my own journey" Caleb would finish. "That's cool to know you're from the Unova Region, I actually would have never expected that if you never told me" Freddie would tell Caleb. "So what Pokemon are you hoping to run into at this Desert Enclosure?" Caleb would stop & think after being asked that question. "Hopefully a Vibrava or an Onix. With enough training, those Pokemon turn into some tough-to-beat battlers despite their typing" Caleb would say. "It seems to me like you already know what you're looking for & what you're doing" Kate would exclaim. The group of friends would continue making conversation while walking through the corridors past other people who were searching for Pokemon as well. As they all walked, they would all be followed unknowingly by a small pink Pokemon that was staying hidden from the general population while waiting for the perfect time to approach.

The friend group would finally make it to the Desert Enclosure & they would all make their way inside. They would take a good look at the environment & see exactly what the name of the habitat depicted. Lots of sand with a few cactuses here & there, it even included a swimming area for water Pokemon that preferred a desert climate. In the distance, there would be a herd of Bouffalant running through the desert together leaving behind a trail of dust & kicked up sand. Cacnea & Maractus would be seen throughout the desert, a group of Darumaka would be seen playing in the sand together. "This is it guys, this is the place" Caleb would say with a smile on his face. "I still don't understand exactly what you see in this place Caleb" Kate would say to Caleb. "That's okay, you don't have to understand the reasoning behind it. Eventually I'll show you why, I just have to find the right Pokemon" Caleb would reply back, receiving a slight laugh from Kate. "What's so funny about that?" Caleb would ask. "It's not that, you're sinking in the sand" Ravin would explain to Caleb as Kate would burst out in laughter. Caleb would look down to see that he is indeed sinking in the sand. He would start squirming to try & get out of the quicksand, but that would only make things worse as he would continue to sink down with every movement. A closer look would tell that he was caught in a sand trap laid. out by a Trapinch sitting at the bottom of it. "Hold on Caleb, I'll try & help you out" Freddie would say as he made his way down to help.

Freddie would reach his hand out to Caleb so he could grab on & pull himself out, but the sand did not provide alot of traction & eventually Freddie would be pulled into the sand trap as well. The other kids were about to use their Pokemon to try & attack the Trapinch causing trouble. Suddenly out of nowhere, the sand trap would stop pulling the kids in & the troublesome Trapinch could be seen in the air after being hit from underground before falling back down & landing in the sand on all four. Both Caleb & Freddie would pull themselves out before looking at what looks like a Sandile digging itself out of a hole. Caleb's eyes would light up at the sight of a Sandile. "There it is! That's the Pokemon that helped me get back to my parents in the desert" The Sandile & Trapinch would be opposite of eachother in the sand, as if they were about to engage in battle. The Trapinch would move first by starting off with a Quick Attack, moving through the sands quickly with very little effort. Sandile would anticipate the attack & use Sand Attack on Trapinch once it got close enough. Trapinch would fall for the Sand Attack but continue going for an offensive. "Wow, those two are really going at it" Solange would say as she & all the others watched this battle. "Pip, Piplup" Solange's Piplup would add on. Trapinch would take one step on the sand & use Scorching Sands, sending a wave of hot sand towards Sandile, making a direct hit. Sandile would brush it off & use Hone Claws, sharpening it's claws & raising it's attack. Without giving the Trapinch a chance, Sandile would rush in & use Assurance, sending Trapinch back a few feet before making it run away. "That battle was amazing!" Caleb would say out loud. Sandile would notice & turn towards Caleb. Everybody would notice & give Caleb a warning. "Caleb be careful, that Sandile was just battling. You never know if it'll use it's own attacks on you" Robin would tell him out of concern for his safety. Caleb wouldn't listen & made his way to Sandile slowly.

Once Caleb was close to the Sandile, he would extend his hand out slowly to greet the Pokemon. "That was a great battle you had over there" He would say as he gave Sandile an Oran Berry. Sandile would sniff the Oran Berry before eating it out of Caleb's hand. "Sandile!" The Pokemon would exclaim with a happy expression on it's face after recieving the berry & the compliment. "Today's the day I start my adventure as a Pokemon Trainer, I was wondering if you'd like to start it with me?" Caleb would tell the Pokemon as he held an empty Pokeball in his hand. Sandile would look at the Pokeball before looking back at Caleb & giving him a nod of approval. The Pokemon would walk towards Caleb & tap the button with it's snout before being engulfed in a red light & getting sucked into the Pokeball. The Pokeball would shake a few times before finally stopping. Caleb would pick up the Pokeball & let out the newly caught Sandile. "Welcome to the team, Sandile" Caleb would say to the Pokemon & it would let out it's signature cry in response.

Everyone would be applauding Caleb for catching his first ever Pokemon. "That was nice Caleb, you caught your first Pokemon" Freddie would say to Caleb. "Even better was that you were able to see it battle beforehand" Ravin would add on to the sentence. As everybody would continue having a conversation about that catch, something would catch the eye of Robin as she would turn her head to look at a pink & silver silhouette in the distance. As she would squint her eyes to get a better view of the pink silhouette, she would come to know that it was actually staring right back at her, which then prompted her to find out what it was.

Robin would look around to see if anybody was paying attention, then quickly look back to see the pink silhouette using the habitat exit. She would quickly leave unnoticed & start going after the Pokemon that was watching her. After exiting the Desert Enclosure, she would scan the halls quick to see the door to another Enclosure left open. Using her quick thinking skills, she would indicate that whatever was watching her must have left the door opened for a number of reasons. Not thinking about it any deeper, she would make her way towards the open enclosure & make her way inside, closing the door behind her.

Making her way inside of the enclosure to follow the silhouette, she would stop to take a look at the forest like enclosure she had walked into. Without thinking too much into her surrounding, she would start making her way down the steps & onto the forest grass to start looking for whatever was watching her. As she traversed through the forest enclosure, she would pass by Pokemon of all kinds that made that habitat a place to stay. A group of Aipom could be seen gathered in the treetops enjoying a mix of berries growing in the forest foliage & swinging from branch to branch, overall having tremendous amounts of fun. Bug Pokemon like Wurmple & Caterpie could be seen crawling by the flowers with groups of their fully evolved forms flying over them with different patterns in their wings. A Treecko could be seen laying down on a branch watching Robin walk past the tree he was laying on.

As she continued walking around the enclosure, she would accidentally bump into somebody else who was also in the enclosure. Quickly gathering herself, she would look to see who she bumped into. This person looked to be in his late teens. He would be wearing a black long sleeve shirt with grey jeans & white sneakers. "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there" She would say apologetically. The person who she bumped into would turn to her with a smile. "Oh it's fine, nothing to worry about" He would say before continuing. "So, are you also here to choose a Pokemon & start your journey?" He would ask her. She would look at the person before answering his question. "Yeah I am, but I'm actually looking for something" She would say. "Would you like some help? I've already got my Pokemon, but I decided to take a look around" The person would ask her. Robin would think about the man's offer for a bit before ultimately deciding. "Seeing as I still haven't chosen a Pokemon yet, I could probably get attacked so I'll take your offer" She would answer this person. "Awesome!" He would say with a smile.

"Before we continue, let me introduce myself so we aren't strangers" He would say before grabbing a Pokeball from his waist & letting out his partner. After the white light from the Pokeball dimmed down, it would reveal the Pokemon to be an Eevee. "Vui vuii" The Eevee would exclaim before jumping onto the person's shoulder. "My name is Daniel Myles, and this is my new partner Eevee" He would say while petting the Eevee on it's shoulder. "What a cute Pokemon!" Robin would say with stars in her eyes looking at the Eevee. She would straighten herself out before introducing herself. "My name's Robin McIntyre. My dad runs this whole facility & he decided that today would be a great day for me & my siblings to start a journey" She would say with a smile.

The scene would cut to Robin & Daniel walking through the forest together, having a conversation. "So that was you & your siblings being shouted out in the crowd?" Daniel would ask her. "Yeahhh, that was us" She would say embarrasingly. "We're not exactly used to being the center of attention like that" She would continue. "I don't blame you for having that reaction. I was never into being the center of attention myself" He would reply trying to relate to her. "What exactly are you looking for in this forest habitat?" Daniel would ask her. "Well, I'm looking for a Pokemon that's been watching me from a distance" Robin would answer his question. "I'm not exactly sure what it looks like, all I know is that the Pokemon is pink" She would continue. Eevee's ears would twitch for a bit before it would perk it's head up & start looking around it's surroundings. Daniel would notice his Eevee looking around. Without a second thought, Eevee would jump off of Daniel's shoulder & start running off into the forest. "Wha- Eevee, where are you going?" Daniel would say before running after it with Robin following behind.

The scene would cut back to the Desert Enclosure where Caleb had just caught his Sandile. The kids had been distracted with eachother for a while before noticing that Robin had went missing. "Hey guys, did anyone see where Robin went?" Solange would ask. The group would look amongst themselves. "She was just here, where could she have gone?" Katalina would say. "This isn't like her to just disappear without any notice, let's go look for her before she gets herself hurt looking for a Pokemon" Ravin would say. "Go, Whismur!" Ravin would release her Pokemon from the Pokeball. The rest of the group (with Pokemon) would do the same thing. "Come on out, Sandile!" "Let's go, Gothita!" "Rise & shine, Piplup!" The group of kids would all release their Pokemon from their capsules. Freddie would grab Robin's bag & hand it over to Caleb. "Caleb, have Sandile get a scent of her to see if he can find her" "That's a great idea! Thank you Freddie" Caleb would take the bag & hold it in front of Sandile. "Here you go Sandile, try gathering a scent so we can go & find Robin" Sandile would move closer & take a couple of sniffs of the bag. "Sand, Sandile!" The Pokemon would exclaim before moving to the exit of the enclosure. Freddie would smile at the efforts of everybody. "Alright guys" Freddie would say. "Let's move!"

Going back to the forest habitat, the scene would cut to Daniel running after his Eevee in the forest with Robin following close behind him. In the treetops, Kakuna would be seen hanging from branches watching the pair run through the forest after the runaway Pokemon. "Your Eevee is fast! where's it even going?" Robin would say while running. "I don't know, Eevee must have heard something in the distance" Daniel would say, hopping over a tree root while following his Pokemon closely.

They would continue running after the Eevee up until the Pokemon would stop all of a sudden, making both Daniel & Robin stop abrubtly & bump into eachother once again. "Eevee, what was that for? What's your d-" Daniel would get cut off by his Pokemon. "Vui!" Eevee would cry out, as a way of telling them to stay still & quiet. Eevee's fur would be raised, as if it were on high alert. After taking Eevee's advice, the pair would stand still without making much noise. Soon after, there would be a buzzing noise coming from somewhere. Robin would start becoming worried of danger lurking nearby. Her worries would be confirmed as she would see a Beedrill flying slowly from a seemingly safe distance in front of them. "It's a Beedrill. Stay very quiet" Daniel would whisper to Robin.

"That Pokemon looks intimidating" Robin would whisper back. "Trust me, it is" Daniel would whisper. "If you see one Beedrill, there's usually a group of them. Their stings hurt, so we've gotta tread carefully" He would continue.

Meanwhile back at the forest enclosure entrance, the group composing of Ravin, Solange, Katalina, Caleb & Freddie would be seen entering the enclosure. Caleb's Sandile would be sniffing at the ground tracing Robin's footsteps. Eventually Sandile would pick up a trace of where Robin went. "Sandile, Sand-Sandile!" The Pokemon would explain before walking down the steps. "I think Sandile's got a trace of where Robin went" Caleb would remark before continuing. "C'mon guys, let's follow Sandile" The group & their Pokemon would continue into the forest in pursuit of the sniffing Sandile.

Back to Robin & Daniel, the pair were still traversing through the forest on the hunt for the pink silhouette that Robin had described earlier. "It feels as if we've been here forever already" Robin would exclaim. "Finding this Pokemon is like finding a needle in a haystack" She would continue with slight frustration in her tone. "On the contrary, a pink pokemon would most definitely stick out in an environment like this" Daniel would say. "What makes you say that?" Robin would ask out of curiosity. "Most Pokemon usually choose an environment that would help them hide from other Pokemon they would consider predators. A pink Pokemon would stick out like a sore thumb through all of this green foliadge, don't you think?" Daniel would explain to Robin. "Now that you put it that way, it does kinda make sense" Robin would say. "Do you think that Pokemon could be in trouble?" She would ask with a worried tone. "I would want to think no, but it's in a foreign environment so the chances of that would be more likely than normal" Daniel would say. "You said this Pokemon's been watching you from a distance?" He would ask Robin. "Most definitely, no-one else noticed but me though. Nobody would believe me if I said anything" Robin would tell Daniel. "Now that you mention it, something did catch my attention back at the Pond enclosure.."

FLASHBACK [ROBIN'S POV]

I was in the pond enclosure earlier with my sister Ravin, who already had her first pokemon, and my brother Freddie, who was mesmerized by all of the Pokemon & taking in the scenery. We had just left our father's main Laboratory after his speech & started looking around at the different enclosures behind the lab. We had already gone to a few enclosures, including one that housed a few Pokemon with forms I've never seen before. Nothing out of the ordinary stuck out until we got to that pond enclosure.

I had saw a light coming from a bush & decided to take a look at what it was. While both of my siblings were distracted, I had started making my way towards the bush that the light was coming from. Before I could even get a good look at what it was, the Pokemon had already saw me coming & ran away from me. I was gonna chase after it, but my sister had insisted we keep moving forward & I ended up going with them, eventually running into some friends along the way.

Everywhere we went, it was as if we were being watched. Not in a malicious way or anything but like it was observing all of us, more specifically me though. Everytime I had turned to notice something peeking from a distance, the figure would just disappear before I could do a double take. I thought I was going crazy up until I saw the same pink figure exiting the desert enclosure. I didn't think of telling anybody where I was going and decided to follow the pink figure into this forest enclosure...

FLASHBACK & POV OVER

"..aaand that's how I got to where I am now" Robin would say with a smile. "It makes sense why the Pokemon was watching you from a distance. It sounds to me like that Pokemon wanted to greet you, but was too shy to do it" Daniel would explain to her before noticing the look of guilt in her face. "My friends & siblings are probably worried sick about me right now. Maybe leaving them was a bad idea.." Robin would say with a sad expression. Daniel would notice her sadness & pick her head up. "Don't feel too bad Robin. Judging from how you were talking about your friends & siblings, I bet they're all looking for you right now" Daniel would say to her with a smile. Robin would look towards the man with stars in her eyes. The scene would be cut short by a loud cry coming from somewhere in the forest. "Vee Vuii!" Eevee's fur would raise up again, indicating that it was on high alert again. "What on earth was that?" Robin would ask with a nervous expression in her face. "Whatever that was might be what you're looking for, and it sounds like it's in trouble" Daniel would reply. "Follow that sound Eevee!" He would tell his Pokemon & it would follow his order & run after the source of the noise.

The group would continue traversing through the forest enclosure in pursuit of Caleb's Sandile, who was in front sniffing at the ground following Robin's footsteps. Passing by the same places that Robin has been to. After some time of walking through the forest, they would be spotted by the same Treecko laying on a branch high up in the trees, unbeknownst to the group. "We're pretty deep into this forest, are you sure Sandile is going the right way Caleb?" Solange would ask with worry in her tone. "Pip, Piplup" Solange's Piplup would exclaim after her sentence. "I trust Sandile, I know he's going to lead us exactly where she is" Caleb would reply.

As the kids all continued walking into the forest, they would hear a loud cry coming from a distance within the foliage. "What the hell was that?" Katalina would ask the group. They would look around to see some flying type Pokemon in the air flying away from the source of the noise. "I don't know what it was but maybe if we follow where that noise came from, it'll lead us exactly to where Robin is" Freddie would say. "That's actually a great idea. Props to you little brother!" Ravin would say with a smile before turning to her Pokemon. "Alright Whismur, lead us to where that sound came from" she would tell her partner. "Whismur!" The Pokemon exclaimed before taking the lead & having the whole group follow suit. Unbeknownst to the group, a familiar trio of Kakuna hanging in the trees were watching them walk by. As they left their line of sight, all three Kakuna would start glowing in a white light, their bodies completely changing, indicating that they were all evolving into their final forms.

Going back to Robin & Daniel, the duo continued following the source of the noise until eventually Eevee slowed down it's pace. "Eevee's slowing down, we must be getting close to the source" Daniel would say to Robin. "I hope so, I'm getting more worried about that Pokemon" Robin would reply to him. As they continued following Eevee, Robin couldn't help but ask Daniel a few more questions.

"You seem to know alot about Pokemon judging from how knowledgeable you are Daniel" Robin would say. "When you put it that way, you make it seem as if I'm a professional of some sort" Daniel would say with a sweat dropping from his face. "That doesn't necessarily sound like a bad thing" Robin would say to the male. "I guess" Daniel would reply, shrugging his shoulders.

"So, where are you from Daniel?" Robin would ask him out of curiosity. "Well, I'm actually from the other side of this region.. Laverne City to be exact. That's where my house is at least" Daniel would answer her question. "Isn't that where the cafe ran by a talking Gardevoir is located? That's so amazing!" Daniel would freeze for a minute without being noticed by Robin. "What made you come all the way over here to start a journey?" Robin would ask Daniel, snapping him out of his trance before she could notice. "I decided to erm.. start my journey fresh. I heard about your dad organizing this event & I figured maybe starting in a different town would be a great idea" Daniel would answer with a smile. Their conversation would be cut short by noises coming from a nearby bush.

The duo & Daniel's Eevee would turn to the bush in question. "I heard something coming from that bush over there" Robin would say to Daniel. "Eevee, go check that out" He would say to Eevee. "Ee-vee!" The Pokemon would say, complying with his order & making it's way cautiously towards that bush. As Eevee got closer to that bush, Robin could see the same pink silhouette that's been following her around inside that bush. Upon closer inspection, a light would shine from the pink silhouette. It was holding a tiny hammer in it's left hand!

"Eevee, watch out!" Robin would exclaim out loud. Upon hearing Robin, Eevee would sense some motion from the bushes. In what felt like a split-second, a pink arm would come out of the bush holding a small hammer, thrusting it rapidly at Eevee. Luckily, Eevee managed to avoid the surprise attack thanks to Robin's warning. Most of the foliage on the bush would fall from it's branches, revealing the Pokemon that's been following Robin around & watching her from a distance all this time.

"I think we've found what you're looking for, that Pokemon right there is called Tinkatink" Daniel would explain to Robin. The pink Pokemon in question would be a steel & fairy type Pokemon identified as a Tinkatink. "Eevee, battle stance!" Daniel would exclaim. "Ee-vui vuii!" Eevee would cry out, getting ready to battle. "Wait Daniel!" Robin would blurt out. "Maybe what you were saying earlier was true, this Pokemon is completely out of it's natural habitat. It doesn't want to battle us, it was only defending itself because it's scared" Robin would explain to Daniel. She would then turn towards Tinkatink & slowly walk towards it, moving past Daniel's Eevee who's guard was still up.

"Hey little buddy, we're not here to hurt you" Robin would talk to Tinkatink as she walked towards it slowly. Tinkatink would continue clutching on it's little hammer, unsure about letting it's guard down. "I saw you looking at me & my friends in the desert habitat. I wasn't sure if it was you or not" Ravin would say to the Pokemon. Tinkatink would stare up & down at Robin, keeping it's guard up but loosening it's grip on the hammer a bit. "You caught my eye at the pond as well. I was gonna come & say hello, but you ran away before I got the chance" Ravin would say to Tinkatink & extend it's arms open to hug the Pokemon. Tinkatink would stare at Robin with a serious look on it's face. After a bit of staring, Tinkatink's eyes would start to tear up & it would start crying as it ran towards her & jumped onto her arms, finally giving in & embracing Robin.

Eevee's ears would twich before jumping & turning towards a familiar buzzing sound. "Oh no, the Beedrill found us!" Daniel would exclaim. His sentence would be confirmed as a Beedrill would slowly fly down from the trees. Without hesitation, the Beedrill's wings would start glowing before it would use Air Cutter & aim it towards the duo & Tinkatink. "Eevee!" Daniel's Eevee would charge up a Shadow Ball & shoot it towards the Beedrill's attack. Both attacks would hit eachother mid air, causing an explosion of smoke in the process & making nearby flying-type Pokemon move away from the event. When the smoke in the air cleared up, there would be three more Beedrill next to the first Beedrill that had attacked them.

Two Beedrill from the group would fly down towards the duo with speed & aggression. One Beedrill would use a String Shot attack & aim towards Eevee. "Quick Eevee, dodge it!" Daniel would say to Eevee. "Vui-vuii!" Eevee would dodge the attack. Unbeknownst to Eevee, the 2nd Beedrill would fly towards where Eevee jumped, it's Drill-like hands glowing white getting ready to use Fury Attack. "Shadow Ball Eevee, 4 O'clock!" Daniel would exclaim. Dark energy would start forming in front of Eevee's mouth, forming a Shadow Ball. Eevee would then turn it's body 120 degrees to the left, the Beedrill flying closer to the Eevee rapidly & ready to use Fury Attack. Right as Beedrill pulled it's arm back to thrust it forward, Eevee would shoot the Shadow Ball at Beedrill close-range, resulting in another mid-air smoke bomb.

Eevee would make it out of the smoke & land safely on all fours, unscathed by the sneak attack. Beedrill on the other hand was not so lucky, obvious that it was hurt by the Shadow Ball. "No way" Robin would say in awe while watching Daniel fight off the Beedrill on his own. "Tiiinka.." Tinkatink would also say in awe at the display of strategy. The first Beedrill would take the moment of distraction & fly towards Eevee, it's stingers glowing purple from using Poison Sting. "Eevee, watch out!" Robin would exclaim. Tinkatink would jump from her arms & run quickly towards Eevee. As the Beedrill was nearing the unsuspecting Eevee, it would suddenly get hit by Tinkatink's Metal Claw. Beedrill would get knocked back so far by the attack from Tinkatink, it would hit a tree due to the power from it's Metal Claw attack. "Nice work, Tinkatink" Robin would praise Tinkatink with an excited smile.

Before the duo could think, the third Beedrill would show up in front of Tinkatink, it's drill-like hands glowing with a dark aura. Beedrill would use the move Pursuit, throwing repeated quick jabs at Tinkatink before throwing one final blow & tossing Tinkatink a considerable distance away. "Tinkatink, no!" Robin would exclaim after seeing her new friend get hurt in battle.

The first Beedrill would jump back into the battle. Without warning, the Pokemon would charge up it's Poison Sting & fly towards Eevee with amazing speed. Beedrill's Poison Sting would make direct contact. "Vuiii!" Eevee would cry out after getting hit & flying back a few feet, still landing on all fours. "Eevee, are you alright?" Daniel would ask Eevee with concern in his voice. Without hesitation, both the first & second Beedrill would fly towards both Eevee & Tinkatink, getting ready to attack in unison.

"GROOOO-KEKEKEEEEY!"

A flash of green would move swiftly, attacking one Beedrill repeatedly with a small stick it was wielding. The Branch Poke attack would pack such a punch, the Beedrill would get pushed into the second Beedrill, making them both fly back & hit another tree & making them faint in the process.

The Pokemon responsible of knocking out both Beedrill at once would land onto the grass with ease. "You aren't the only one that's capable of sneaking away from a crowd sis" Robin would look towards where the voice came from. "FREDDIE!" Robin would say excitedly. "Thank you for leading me to my sister Grookey" Freddie would say, revealing himself as he walked out from behind a tree. "Grook-Grook, Grookey!" The small green monkey-like Pokemon would reply to Freddie's reply. "Where's everybody else?" Robin would ask Freddie. "They're still making their way over here. I found Grookey & asked him to lead me your way since he knows this habitat well" Freddie would say.

"I wasn't expecting him to lead me your way, but I'm glad he did because you & your friend were getting jumped by a group of angry Beedrill" He would finish his sentence. "..who's your friend by the way?" Freddie would ask his sister while raising his eyebrows up & down to tease his sister. Robin would blush in embarrassment. "NONONO, IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" Robin would say, her face blushing even more red than before. "I hate to interrupt this lovely sibling moment, but we're right in the middle of another ambush!" Daniel would say. The third Beedrill would be flying back towards them, the fourth & final Beedrill still flying over them all watching the whole battle take place. "Eevee!.." "Grookey!.." Daniel & Freddie would say at the same time. "...TRAILBLAZE!" Both Eevee & Grookey would glow a green aura, charging up their attack. Both Pokemon would start moving towards the Beedrill with high velocity side-by-side. The Beedrill could not react fast enough as he got hit by both Pokemon at once. Beedrill was hit with such tremendous force, so much so that it got knocked back into a rock & left an indent.

Without warning, the fourth Beedrill's drill-like hands would both glow purple & it would start flying towards both Grookey & Eevee faster than the other three Beedrill. "DODGE IT!" Both Pokemon would move to separate directions & succesfully dodging the attack, leaving Beedrill's drill-like hands stuck in the ground. "That wasn't a regular Poison Sting.. that was Beedrill's Poison Jab" Daniel would say. "Damn, this Beedrill is super strong" Robin would say. "Brace yourselves, this is only the beginning!" Freddie would say as Beedrill would glow a white aura while still stuck in the ground. "I think Beedril's using Focus Energy!" Daniel would exclaim so everybody would prepare themselves. After using Focus Energy, Beedrill would pull his drill-like hands out of the ground, preparing it's Drill Run attack. Without warning, Beedrill would move very quickly towards all three Pokemon.

"WHISMUR, SCREECH!" "SANDILE, USE SAND ATTACK!" ..."GOTHITA, FOLLOW UP WITH SWIFT!" "PIPLUP, BUBBLEBEAM!

First, Whismur & Sandile would jump out of the bushes. Whismur would start off with a loud Screech, slowing down the Beedrill a considerable amount. Sandile would turn it's body & swing it's tail on the ground, tossing sand right at Beedrill's eyes & lowering it's accuracy when making moves. Without giving the Beedrill a chance to make a move, Gothita & Piplup would jump out of the same bush that Sandile & Whismur came from, both using the attacks they were told to use & aiming it at the Beedrill, sending the Pokemon flying backwards and having it land right on top of the first two fainted Beedrill, leaving the last Beedrill fainted.

"Guys, you all came!" Robin would say with tears of relief flowing from her eyes. "Of course we'd come for you Robin, we were all worried sick about you" Solange would start off. "Yeah, why would you just run off by yourself without telling anybody?" Caleb would say after Solange spoke. "I was being followed around by a Pokemon for a while, it even followed us inside of the desert enclosure. I saw that you guys already had your Pokemon & decided to try & find what was following me" Robin would say. Without anyone noticing, Tinkatink would climb up & reach for the empty Pokeball on her hip, tapping the button & being engulfed in a white light. "What the-" Robin would say as she saw the Pokeball fall from her waist & start shaking as the button would flash red on & off until it would finally stop, confirming that Tinkatink was caught by Robin. "Well, that was unexpected. Would you guys like to see the Pokemon I was talking about?" Robin would ask the group of kids. "Yeah!" The friend group would exclaim before she would let out the Pokemon, revealing to the group that it was a Tinkatink. "Tink Tink!" The Pokemon would cry out happily.

As everybody was looking at Robin's new Pokemon, Freddie would be making his way towards the Grookey that lead him right to his missing sister & helped him defend against a group of angry Beedrill. Grookey would be making his way up a tree. "Grookey?" Freddie would call out to the Pokemon. Grookey would stop climbing & turn his head to look at Freddie. "Thanks again for helping me find my sister, and thanks for helping me defend my sister & her friend against those Beedrill" He would thank the small green monkey Pokemon. "Grookey!" Grookey would reply with a smile & a thumbs up. "You did great in that battle. Would you like to come with me on an adventure?" Freddie would ask the small Pokemon. Grookey would stop & think about his offer for a second. "If you think that battle was great, just imagine all the other battles we can have together. I promise you & I'll get stronger with each battle we have, win or lose!" Freddie would explain to Grookey with a fiery passion in his eyes. The Grookey would stare at Freddie & would see that same fiery passion in his eyes that was used in his last sentence. "Grooo-KEY!" The Pokemon would accept his offer without a second thought, jumping from the tree & onto Freddie McIntyre, knocking him down to the ground with the force of gravity.

Freddie would be smiling & laughing on the ground with Grookey in his arms sharing an expression of joy with Freddie. Sooner or later, Grookey would come across Freddie's empty Pokeball & would look back at the boy, having last minute second-thoughts. Freddie would look at the Pokemon with a smile on his face. "The choice is yours, friend. I'm not going to force you out of your habitat if that's not what you want" He would say to the Pokemon. Grookey would look back at the empty Pokeball before looking back at Freddie, pressing the empty Pokeball, giving a smile & thumbs up while getting engulfed in a red light & sucked in. The Pokeball would fall to the ground & shake, the button flashing red as it shook. Just like Robin & Tinkatink, the Pokeball would stop shaking.

"Looks like our little brother just got his first Pokemon as well!" Robin would say with a smile on her face. "I'm normally not the one to say it, but this is definitely a proud twin sister moment" Ravin would say before coming in with Robin to give Freddie a hug. "Awww" The group of friends would all say simultaneously watching the siblings. The siblings would separate from the group hug. "Before we go back to the lab... you still haven't told me who your friend was Robin" Freddie would say to his sister, again raising his eyebrows up & down in a teasing manner. Robin would start blushing rapidly, her face turning as red as a tomato after he said that. "It's not like that guys" Robin would start her sentence, while still blushing at the thought.

"So we actually met in this enclosure, I bumped into him while I was walking & he helped me walk through the forest & find Tinkatink" Robin would say before Daniel would would introduce himself. "My name's Daniel Miles. I came all the way from Laverne City to start my adventure" He would say to the group. "Laverne City? That's all the way across the region!" Solange would reply. "That's where the restaurant is. The one that's ran by a talking Gardevoir" Katalina would say after. "People say they make some of the best dishes in all the region for both people & their Pokemon. Our parents took us there last year & I couldn't get enough of their desserts, so that statement is valid" Robin would say with stars in her eyes.

"What made you start an adventure on the complete other side of the region?" Caleb would ask Daniel. "Just like I told Robin earlier, I decided to start my journey fresh. I heard about Marcus doing this event in Little Coden City. So I thought, what better way to start fresh than to start on the other side of the region?" Daniel would explain to the group of friends before continuing. "And that takes us to this moment we're in currently. Now that we're all acquainted, let's head back to the main lab so we can get some supplies that'll help on our adventures" He would finish his sentence. The group would then gather up all of their things & start heading back to the main lab to see Marcus Hopkins once more.
