A/N For those of you wondering why they're not suggesting Mohra blood, currently all they know is it heals the dead, they have no idea how it affects the living. It's one of the things they intend to study once they get their Foundation up and running.

"The Reetu are a pretty peaceful race. The Goa'uld wiped most of them out just because they were a possible threat." Jacob told them after the first healing session had been completed and they moved to the conference room, leaving Dawn in the infirmary talking to Charlie under Dr. Fraser and Mother's watchful eyes.

"Okay. But how did the Goa'uld wipe them out?" Daniel asked.

"They were able to isolate the emissions that we are sensitive to and develop a device that would expose the creatures." Jacob held up the TER. "We've managed to steal quite a few of them."

"People." Xander said softly. "They're people, not creatures. Insects or not, they're sentient beings with souls and do not deserve to be denigrated."

"I didn't mean to offend." Jacob protested. "It's how the Tok'ra and the Goa'uld both think of them and that just...carried over."

"Words have power, General." Xander stated, his voice still soft. "And words can hurt, the Tok'ra dismiss them by calling them creatures, as less than. They're not less than."

"Is there a reason why these children are present at this meeting?" Selmac's voice rumbled out.

"We're here because we can help with this situation." Xander answered evenly, as Faith and Cordelia both bristled. "Do not assume we are helpless or ignorant because of our ages. We may be in your reality, but we carry our strength with us, regardless of reality. Allow me to introduce myself, Selmac of the Tok'ra. I am Alexander Harris, Guardian of the Sanctum Sanctorum." Perhaps a touch of Dr. Strange's own arrogance was leaking through.

"Is that title supposed to mean something to me?"

"Only if you were familiar with the significance of that title, suffice to say, I outrank you."

"His authority is above every leader on their Earth, Jacob." General Hammond told him. "I can't explain why, but it has to do with why his office exists in the first place."

"A child granted such power?" Selmac asked sceptically.

"You don't have to believe, but we did not come here to speak lies." Xander responded. "We came seeking help for a child in our care and were granted it without complaint. We are also willing to help this child in the Stargate Command's care. We can't tell you everything, anymore than you can. We all have secrets, secrets that we hold dearer than our lives in many cases."

"This is true, I suppose." Selmac conceded. "Why did the counterpart tell you he doesn't trust us?"

"He has no reason to trust a people that prolong a war for two thousand years and allow the deaths of millions just so they can feel relevant. In one turn of this world's rotation around it's sun these people have done more damage to the Goa'uld than you have in two thousand years."

"How dare you!" Selmac's voice rumbled out. "We are a dying race and we choose to fight!"

"Your methods prolong the war, I've seen it before. The war in our reality lasted for centuries as well, prolonged by a few individuals who felt they were important because they created a weapon for the war. An unnecessary weapon and a way to feel important. In less then five minutes, a single action changed the course of the war and made them the unnecessary ones. Our enemy is not the same as yours, but it's essentially a parasite too."

"This isn't getting us anywhere." General Hammond decided. "We need to decide what to do about the Reetu rebels."

"I suggested an alliance between them and Earth to Mother." Xander offered. "She's intrigued by the possibility, it's not something either the Reetu Authority or the rebels had considered because communicating with us is so difficult. But with Charlie stabilized he can act as a translator between you and the Reetu. Once the Reetu know the victories you've already achieved it may be enough to convince them that siding with you is better than a half thought insane plan to starve the Goa'uld of hosts."

"And what of Earth's alliance with us?" Selma asked. "Where does it fit in?"

"Where it was intended to from the beginning." O'Neill answered. "Supplying us with intelligence that we can use to devise tactics and assault plans."

"We disapprove of your methods."

"Because our methods kill Goa'uld and free Jaffa and humans." O'Neill shot back. "While your methods leave most Goa'uld alive and humans dead. I don't like your methods either."

"Colonel." While secretly General Hammond agreed with his officer, officially he had to be diplomatic and maintain the treaty, without stepping on toes. Toes he wanted to stomp on sometimes. Damnit, sometimes he really didn't like being a General. Besides Jacob was an old friend. "I like the idea of an alliance and I think I'll suggest it to the President, if he agrees and Mother is willing to talk to her people, maybe they can convince the rebels to join as well. At the very least, the Reetu Authority may be willing to make an alliance and that could benefit us all enormously."

"And than we can get back to the reason for today's visit in the first place." Jenny smiled. "Plus, I can't wait to introduce Faith to Salem. I intend to have popcorn handy."

"Who's Salem?" Jacob asked.

"You don't want to know, Dad." Carter muttered. "Trust me on that."
