"Whenever a superhero needs help, they can either rely on the friends that can help them on the battlefield or the team their placed on. What they don't do, is get strangers to watch over them that were involved in fighting their father's old hero team Mark Grayson, also now calling himself Invincible couldn't believe that Cecil. Brought these four to watch over him for his protection, while he and his parents would argue about this. They were right now attending the funeral of the Guardians that was being held right now, for Sledge and the others. It felt rather to uncomfortable for them, so Robot. Being informed by Cecil of this new ''team' offered them a place to stay, which was at the Teen Team's base."

Teen Team's Base-Morning

Within the underground base of the Teen Team was Sledge and the others who were in the training room where the heroes would practice their skills and abilities. Right now, the four were looking at the news of the funeral along of Omni man giving the eulogy.

"It's a cowardly attack to kill them in their own base, literally who does that?"

Fury asking with his arms cross and watching the funeral on the scree. With how they got back their old weaponry, they got new clothing as his was that of a warrior. Having a much larger fur covering around his neck. He was given a sleeveless vest, while having a symbol of thunder around his body. His pants was black with yellow scar marks to match. The others were minding their own business seeing how they were adjusting to the new costumes Cecil had made for them.

"Well, someone who didn't want to be seen. But I can't blame them, that scene we got shown almost made me throw up."

Poisandra explained as she was looking at her new look, so far it involved a black jacket which was zipped up to her breasts. As she had a heart shaped bra covering her chest, most of her white skin was shown along her makeup was still the same. Her pink hair was flowing behind her head, her shoulder pads were yellow and red in a circular manner. Her pants were dark yellow as well had heart shape symbols on her knee's, while having her normal high heels.

"So far they don't consider us the murderers, so that's good point of view. We should worry about, the other issue Sledge."

Wrench bringing up a matter as he was adjusting to his new body armor. He was less clunky than before and stuck onto his body, looking over to Sledge. Who was checking out his new armor, which was now grey and brown. It cover most of his body while showing off his green arms. Gripping his glove tight, knew exactly what the robot was talking about.

"Please, not right now. While it is something to think about since it's money, we're on a planet which no one will give a shit about."

Sledge responding to Wrench of a topic that he was avoiding after he met up with Invincible, as well didn't seem to enjoy the fact that they be hanging out with him. Wrench, seeing how this was urgent couldn't keep it in.

"Even if you won't get paid, it's that when our ship was destroyed. There's a chance of several of the outlaws we captured might have survived the crash due to how powerful they were."

The blue robot explaining to Sledge of how they survived, the prisoners aboard the ship may have had a chance of handling the fall. Sledge, shook his head at the thought of any of the prisoners they've spent time capturing now running about on the planet.

"So what? If they do run around this planet. That Omni guy will handle it, plus there's a bunch of costumed heroes on the planet. What's the deal?"

Fury agreeing with Sledge of how they shouldn't hear about this type of news seeing that they are now dealing with this new problem. They shouldn't think about their old problems, Poisandra. Merely chuckled at response as she walked over with a smile, but not before grabbing him by the horn.

"Because you mangy cat, is that if they blabber their mouths about us. Cecil might throw us back into jail, and I rather be out here than go back with those Mauler twins."

Stating in a angered manner and thinking that if any of those monsters spoke out about any of them, then people such as Cecil and the heroes would send them back to prison. Letting go, Fury growled seeing how he hated his horn being pulled. Sledge hearing the conversation merely had a idea.

"But they crashed away from us. And not, near the city. So whatever happens, it's there problem. Not ours."

Sledge making it loud and clear that the heroes of this world could handle it, half of the crew agreed. In which made Poisandra upset with how her boyfriend was ignoring a problem which he was much involved in. Though as she was about to speak her mind, suddenly they heard the doors sliding open. It showed Robot, the leader of Teen Team as well several other individuals that looked like heroes.

"Great, more costumed people. Like we need anymore."

Fury complaining how there appeared to be more coming here for some sort of meeting, Robot walked over to the four aliens as Sledge looked at the brown cooper machine seeing how there was a announcement.

"Apologies for not informing you, but we are right now about to start trials for the new Guardians of the Globe. I can find you another area in the place if you wish to not watch."

Offering them another room in the base for them to be alone and not near anyone else, looking at the group coming. Sledge noticed Invincible behind them, in which he didn't exactly had much time to talk with the kid. Having him here and no where to go would make it perfect.

"It was boring before you came, will stay and watch. Should give Fury something to enjoy since these 'trials' involve hitting right?"

Asking Robot in which the mechanical being stood there silent as that meant it be a confirmation about how it was true the trials would be about fighting. As the heroes gathered up into the room, the aliens kept to the sight to watch the show. While for Sledge, decided to speak out to Invincible since everyone was busy. The teen hero notice the alien as he said nothing since it was still messed up that he got assign a alien bodyguard.

"What do you want, try and apologize for fighting my dad? Or his friends that got buried this morning?"

He asked still not exactly trusting him since it was odd for him to soon enough fight the Guardians then sent to prison, and now getting parole that involved looking over him. Sledge, could tell he wasn't exactly thrilled about this, since he wasn't either.

"No. It's that I didn't agree to this cause I wanted to be good. I'm doing this to keep my girlfriend out of jail and the others."

Responding to the boy's question of why he was doing this, in which the black haired human looked over to his rather strange team. Which involved possibly a blue version of Robot, a red cat with a Japanese theme and lastly the pink haired girl getting noticed by the other heroes.

"You have a girlfriend?"

Asking him trying to not tease him as Sledge said nothing as that type of question would involve a painful answer. Soon enough the trials begun to start with Atom Eve and another male, who was much bigger and had a lot of muscle. They took a moment to watch as they saw the trial proceeding. They saw how Eve was constructing that of fists and attacking the male showing no mercy as she took him down with ease.

"What's up with her?"

"No Idea."

Invincible asking as shortly enough Rex answered him, in which Sledge could tell did something to piss her off. Soon enough they continued to watch the rest of the trials going on, most of the humans showed extraordinary abilities to the four aliens as they continued to watch who'd be in the next Guardians. As the trials continued, they shortly ended with Robot making the final announcements.

"It is my pleasure to introduce the new Guardians of the Globe. Black Samson. Shrinking Rae. Dupli-Kate. Monster Girl."

Announcing the new members of the team, it involved a former member of the original Guardians with a enhanced armor with energy bolts. A brown haired woman with incredible shrinking abilities, Dupli-Kate and finally a small girl who just look like a normal girl. The others looked confused since they didn't watch her trial, however Rex begun to laugh out loud at how out of all the people in the room, she got recruited.

"Aw, look at her, she's adorable! But isn't there, like, an age requirement for this ride? Am I wrong? 'Cause this seems weird, right?"

Asking about her in which the others thought it was a bad idea for him to be laughing at her, Invincible and the aliens didn't understand since they didn't see her trial due to the many heroes blocking their sight. However the small girl, didn't exactly look phased by the insult.

"I dunno, you're here. Isn't there a dick size requirement?"

Responding to Rex which made the explosive masked hero silent seeing how he didn't see that coming, the others got surprised by the comeback which the aliens laughed at him seeing he had it coming.

"I mean, the way you've been strutting around here, you must be compensating for something."

Continuing to insult his 'package' as the others heroes in the crowd begun to laugh as well seeing how it was a good comeback for her. Rex, having enough went to his pocket to pull out a small chipped coin. Charging it with explosive energy, he was about to hit her.

"Somebody ought to teach you some mother fucking..."

As Rex was about to throw a fist, the small girl gripped her left arm as well begun to change it. The skinny human army became a large muscular green arm which knocked him straight through the window and sending him to the training ground, everyone watched at how the small girl leapt down making a loud thumping sound.

"I guess you missed my try out?"

She asked as suddenly, the innocent looking girl begun to transform into that of a large orge like male. Standing much more bigger than Rex, the red and yellow hero suited man pulled out several explosive chips and hurled them at her chest. Though it didn't affect her, she continued to punch him more as well spilling blood. The others watched watching the demonstration of Monster Girl's power.

"Well, he asked for it. Can't say I blame her."

Atom Eve saying as she didn't exactly look upset with how she was beating on him, the others watched the violent fight. Sledge, thought it was amusing as he was going ask what the others thought about this. However, Fury leapt out to join the battle.

"Damn it Fury! Get your cat ass back here!"

Sledge shouted as Fury who was fascinated by the girl's brutal nature had to face this for himself, as Monster girl continued to beat Rex. She felt her arm being stopped by the red alien lion as he was holding her right arm.

"Nice swing, wanna try it on a real monster?"

He asked as Monster Girl growled as she threw him to the side, his claws scratching the floor. He smiled at this as the two engaged in a fight between hulking and savage strength, the group watched the fight between them as it was leading nowhere. Invincible looked at Sledge to go get his man, though the armored alien shrugs his shoulders seeing that he can handle it. Leaping off the area, he flew at the two with two solid fists seeing how brute force would end this.

"That's enough!"

Mark stating to the two as he knocked both of them to the side, while Fury tumbled hitting the wall. Monster Girl turned back into her normal self, he ended the fight swiftly as well went over to check up on her to see if he hit her to hard.

"I'm ok, just got a bit angry with the whole 'kid' thing. I'm actually twenty four, it's a weird story."

Informing him how she shook off the punch that Mark gave her, feeling a bit relieved he didn't hit a actual girl. He looked at Rex getting up still holding some of his broken teeth and walking away, along Fury. Who growled at the masked boy for interfering in the fight.

"Yeah, from how she had you it seemed she was going skin you alive."

Acknowledging that she would have ripped him apart, the lion said nothing as he went to join the others along the others. With the fighting now ended, Robot continued with the last additions to the new Guardians. Which involved Rex and Atom Eve, which from the sight the pink costumed woman didn't look exactly thrilled about it. Soon enough the large gathering ending with everyone heading out.

"Robot, I'm sorry but I can't be on a team with Rex and Kate."

Informing her metallic friend about not desiring to join the Guardians if it involved the two of them, Invincible looked curious at her dismay and followed her to see what was wrong. Robot, stood there confused about the moment and looking at the aliens.

"Will keep a eye on them, it's our job after all."

Sledge responding to him as the four followed after them to see what was going on, Robot. Stood there feeling like this made things much more difficult if he was going to be in charge of the guardians. Not knowing, he was being watched from above in a secret room by that of Omni Man. Who crossed his arms at the sight of this trail for the new team.

"Pathetic."

Saying only one word to describe the moment, let alone of how they wouldn't be able to handle the dangers that the old team had managed. In which he flew away to handle his own matters.

Later on outside of the base

With the roster selection over, the teen heroes were on that of a cliff talking to one another. Along of how the four aliens noticing how the two were talking, Poisandra looked at the pair and smiled seeing how it was something she missed, conversation between both a man and woman. Sledge, was checking out several things that Earth was none for by Wrench, to which she walked over and got her boyfriend's attention.

"How come we don't do that anymore?"

She asked him as well pointing towards Mark and Eve who were talking about something important that might revolve her being not so agreeing to be on the Guardians team. Sledge, looked at the sight as well at her trying to piece what Poisandra meant.

"Talk about idiotic things?"

"No. Talking, like about what's going on with one another? Possibly about how you still accepting the fact that we might get in trouble if any of those outlaws you captured spill our names?"

Responding to Sledge about that with how much has happened along before coming to Earth, they didn't have a chance to talk to each other like a actual couple. More or less try to be one since he begun hunting, the two men on the side kept out of this since this was a personal manner along accepting a screw up he did.

"These people can handle it. Besides that we do talk, not exactly feelings but talk none the less about what we're going do together."

Talking to Poisandra of how the time he's spent with her, he's always listen to her whatever was on her mind. Along of listen to the things they'd do together when he made enough money for one another.

"Oh sure, when it involved you hunting stupid outlaws. But when it came to me? It was always promises which you never did. More or less tried to, I didn't care about the money but wanted you."

Explaining to him as Sledge didn't know how to respond in this manner, in which he didn't have much good grasp in relationships. On the side of this was both Mark and Eve who were watching the two aliens possibly arguing, in which they didn't know whether they could hear them or rather not caring if they did.

Checking out the caller ID in which he answered, as he heard from the director. Both Wrench and Fury thought it be best if they head back to the Teen Team base since it was the only place for them to stay for the meanwhile.

"Pardon us, but we'd it be best for me and Fury if we head back to base. Well, your base. Apologies."

Wrench informing both Even and Mark as she merely gestures it was alright, Fury. Getting irritated dragged him seeing there was no need to be nice to them. Soon enough Mark nodded as well hung up his phone seeing it was important.

"Hey love birds. Got a problem at Mount Rushmore, looks like we're heading to a place where it's presidential related Sledge."

Informing both Sledge and Poisandra that there was a villain attack at the national monument. Which made him groan of how that's the last place he wanted to be, however Poisandra smiled seeing how it was somewhere big that she could visit. The four soon prepare to make travel to monument to see what was going on.

Keystone South Dakota-Mount Rushmore

At the world famous mountain with the carvings of four presidents that looked over the USA, a elderly man was towering over the sight. He had no hair as well a lab coat on, he had two red brackets on both wrists as he begun to charge them up.

"It's time for a wake up call you cattle!"

The old man announced as he suddenly delivered a strong seismic attack to the ground, causing it to shake and quake the concrete caused the whole area to open up. The people begun to run in terror from the sight, as well see the old man laughing in triumphant of this destruction he was causing.

"You've come to pray at this obscene monument? They were oppressors! Racists! Slave owners! I give you a new god worthy of worship!"

Rambling about the dark truth of the country as he was continuing to cause destruction around the monument. In which he slams the ground again making lava erupt from the ground, which made everyone run faster from him.

"Bow before Doc Seismic!"

Announcing his name in a villainous manner as he continued to break up the monument, noticing several boy scouts and their scout master running. He decided to make a example by ripping apart Abraham Lincoln's head off the rock wall.

"The great emancipator? He'll emancipate you, from your lives!"

Sledge responding as Mark ignored it as both Eve and Poisandra arrived with them as the four looked at the elderly man seeing he wasn't all weak. Taking a better look, Eve could tell the source of his power from his bracelets.

"Those aren't gloves. Gloves have fingers. They're more, earthquake bracelets? Ha! You're wearing earthquake bracelets!"

Poisandra responding to Eve's statement about taking out Sesmic's weaponry and making fun of him. The doctor merely responded by shooting at them with his shock gauntlets. The four avoided them as well tried to attack him, however Invincible noticing several people in jeopardy as he went to help them out. The others chased after the old man as both Eve and Sledge begun firing at him.

"You all should be on my side! We could tear down the old power structure, build a new order! I mean, look at the costumes they've got you two in. Talk about pandering to gender roles."

Talking at Eve and Poisandra on how while Eve's clothing showed her having no pants, along of Poisandra with her bra showing made the girls looked confused by the comment seeing they were 'wrong' to his perspective of respectable clothing.

He spoke out as suddenly, he's bracelet fires again which forced him to let go of her hand. Falling down, Invincible flew down chasing after him. While for Sledge, could tell if he burned up. It be his ass and the others, activating his jet pack he rushed right after him. The two flying down seeing the elderly man laughing in a derange manner. Continued to use his bracelets making everything cave in around them.

"Forget the man, we gotta move!"

Sledge shouted as he was able to catch up with Mark and grab him by the shirt, seeing Doc Seismic being engulfed by the lava. Letting go, the two boys rushed right out as Eve moved out of the way. Along of Sledge grabbing Poisandra as he carried her away from the lava. The four soon looked at how it was over, however they would need to seal up the cracks.

"Wow, that guy is toast."

Eve stated as the others could agree about that as the four soon land on the ground seeing how things have settled. Invincible, looked at Sledge seeing how he did help him out with the save back down there.

"Thanks, but I could have gotten out there faster."

"Yeah, what'd you do? Spin like a tornado and smash your way out."

Responding to Mark's compliment as the two girls watched at how they talked to each other like coworkers, however. Both of them had that of different feelings for them, in which would have to be discussed later after the monument was cleaned up and things were settled here. Along how that this team up may not be so bad, if Mark understood if Sledge was doing this just to stay out of prison or for his friends to keep out.
