"During her time with Sledge and hunting outlaws across outer space, she had seen her fair share of violence when it came to capturing them. Yet it didn't end up as horrific as what the Lizard League had done to half of the Guardians since she wasn't used to being around fights that went this aggressively. However, what took her by surprise was the fact someone like Badussa would align himself with King Lizard. What she could remember from the creep was him being responsible for the destruction of the Kyoryuger galaxy and turning its finest warriors into stone, it left Sledge to keep him contained in a room that couldn't let him use his eyes to turn him or the group into stone. It frightened her that this would be the place where she might die without seeing the gang, Eve, or even Sledge to express how she enjoyed hanging out with them. It was lucky that Curio got out of the room so he didn't see this, no one that's innocent as him should see any more killing."

Military Base-Night Time

With half the team dead and both of them unable to find a way to escape from their predicament. King Lizard smirked at how despite losing half of his team, he had Badussa aiming his sword at Poisandra's throat if she tried anything to stop them as the lizard-themed villain aimed a pistol directly at Rex's head. Seeing his hand bitten off and trying to keep conscious, the explosive hero smirked at King Lizard as he didn't look afraid of the gun that was aimed at him.

"Just get it over with you prick."

He responded to the blonde-haired man before hearing the sound of his gun going off and feeling a bullet go through the side of his head. Poisandra was petrified at the sight of Rex dead due to how despite him cheating on Eve, he didn't deserve to die like this.

"Now then. What do you know of this one that's running around trying to be a Red Rush knockoff."

King Lizard asked Badussa as he turned his pistol towards Poisandra trying to make her scared since she'd be the next one he'd kill. Breathing steadily and trying to not be intimidated by them, Poisandra tried to think of a way for herself to either take them out for what they'd done or escape to avoid being another kill for them.

"She's my captor's doll of a girlfriend. She used to mess with the prisoners by waving sweets at us, but it's not so funny when you mess with a blade than candy. Right?"

Badussa explained how he knew her as his eyes were glowing at the ready to turn her into stone like the soldiers out front. Seconds away from having revenge for the weeks he was locked up in Sledge's ship, but he was stopped by Lizard King as he was fascinated with how she looked familiar and curious about her abilities.

"Your eyes remind me of my mother, rest her cold-blooded soul. With the right change of clothing and maybe some modification, you can be the new queen of the Lizard League."

Offering her a place by his side and becoming his queen to help rule over the league as well as avoiding a grizzly death like her friends. She took a moment to think about his offer and gestured the king to come towards him so she could tell him her answer. Just as the confident leader seems to have impressed the female alien, he leans in only for Poisandra to take a lesson from Rex and be just as brutal as he was before dying. Poisandra lunges her head directly into Lizard's face and breaks his nose. Moving back and angered by her response, Badussa slashes Poisandra to the side as her suit can protect her from getting cut in half. Hitting against the side and feeling like her bones were broken, Poisandra merely laughed at how Lizard King was trying to fix his nose.

"Like I'd need a boyfriend who has to get help from people who fight his battles. Despite my Sledgums being a stubborn and brute of a boyfriend, he can handle anything without help. And knows that having a psychopath that's responsible for destroying a galaxy on your team? Is stupid."

Poisandra told him her answer about hooking up with him as she was about to use the chance and run out of the room. Only to be stopped by Badussa who threw Komodo's headless body on her so she couldn't move, keeping her pinned and preparing for the kill. King Lizard stopped him again as he'd be the one to kill her he aimed the gun toward her heart to make sure she couldn't survive.

"What a waste."

Stating to Poisandra just before he could kill her with one shot. There was coughing from the side as it came from Rex, who seemed to have managed to survive getting shot in the head and was slowly standing back up on his feet. Chuckling at the half-dead hero struggling to stand up, Lizard walked around to examine him since he decided to take his anger out on him.

"Seems like the loss of your brain hasn't hurt you as much as one would expect. How sad."

Taunting Rex as he was unable to keep focus due to the amount of blood loss and that of hearing he could barely use as he saw Poisandra pinned underneath a dead body and Badussa toying with her. All the while King Lizard continued to prattle on and prepare to shoot him again, only for Rex to backhand the gun from him which took the villain by surprise.

"Shut! The Fuck! Up!"

Yelling at him before putting his adrenaline and frustration out on the king as Rex started to punch him with his missing hand several times. Unable to get away from the half-dead hero and continuing to be beaten senselessly, Poisandra used her speed to vibrate the body which caused Badussa to get confused and see her slip right underneath the body and collapse on the floor. Slipping away and going her scythe, she hurls it into Badussa's chest which seemingly kills him as he collapses on his knees.

"I can't believe you shot me in the fucking head!"

Rex shouted towards the now-dead villain as he continued to beat him senseless to where his face was gone till there was nothing but bone and brain matter. Walking over to him slowly due to her injuries, Poisandra stopped him since there was no reason to continue as they had won. Doing his best to stay conscious and see what happened, the moment was interrupted by Badussa who threw the scythe that was in his chest to the side and hissed at them.

"No more messing around! I'm going turn you into stone and grind you both under my feet!"

Announcing his intentions as he was preparing to use his stone vision on them. Before having the chance to get payback for his time on Sledge's ship, there was a crashing sound coming from behind Poisandra, and Rex the girl pulled him to the side as Badussa's attack was fired by an incoming object as was the Guardian's motorcycle. The reflection off from the front of the cycle reflected the alien's attack and landed on him which turned the alien criminal into stone. The vehicle does a quick turn before colliding with the statue and ending Badussa in an instant. With the smoke cleared and the battle finally finished, Poisandra stood up to see Rex passed out from the bullet wound but still breathing.

"Not bad for a human."

She compliments him on surviving but looks over at Rex's ride to see who is driving it. The pilot's chair opened up and showed a dazed Curio who came back to help out, stumbling out of the ship and seeing the head of Badussa on the ground. He notices Poisandra who looks ready to cry on him coming back despite being afraid.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't leave."

Apologizing for not running away from the fight Poisandra walks over to hug him for what he did despite the fear she could see on his face. With the two continuing to hold it together, they heard groaning from the dead bodies of the Lizard League and found something shocking. Coming out of the headless body of Komodo was Rae who had managed to survive getting eaten and Duplikate, who amongst her dead selves had managed to survive the fatal wounds that she got from the villains.

"Rae!"

Curio cried out as he ran over to the headless body and picked up the small lady, she saw the tears forming in his eyes due to how he thought she'd die in front of him. Walking over to help Duplikate up and whipping off the body parts on her, the two girls saw how they had managed to stop the league and escape getting killed.

"I'm going kick Cecil's ass for taking our muscle. Because we need it for bastards like these."

Duplikate stated that despite making it out alive, the team's heavy hitters were in space handling the incoming threat that was coming to Earth. Poisandra shared a nod in which she hoped the others weren't in as much danger as they had been right now. Especially how in the ship were some of the most powerful beings that Cecil had assembled, they should have it handled easily and back here before seeing them injured.

Later-Outer Space

The rocket that Cecil had given the second half of the team was several minutes away from the Martian ship as Shape Smith was giving them the team information on how the Sequids operated. While that was happening, Mark was talking with Eve who was recruited by Rex due to how experienced and powerful she'd be for the mission. He was bringing her up to speed about what happened to his dad and the reveal of having a half-brother who was living with his mother during his stay on Earth.

"Well Mark, you've had quite the time since you left for space. Perhaps this time having a group can avoid getting you into trouble."

Offering advice that while he had managed to travel into the stars, he'd either made it back alright or came back battered and bruised. While it was comforting that he had someone who cared for him as well and understood the dangers of this life, possibly even helping him out if there was a chance to avoid this invasion that was coming to their planet. Looking forward where they were getting a detection coming on their screen, they see the Martin vessel approaching them as it was massive compared to their ship.

"I've calculated the numerous ways we could counter the Sequids attacks if we encountered them. They are only weak when there is one of them, and their brain is a weak point if given the chance to attack."

Robot informed the group if they encountered the pink tentacled parasites since most of them would need it if they saw them surrounded by the creatures if cornered against the wall. Finding what seemed like an entrance for them to fly the ship into the docking bay and prepare for landing. Landing their ship within the cruiser, the group saw what looked like survivors who tried to avoid being killed by the Sequids.

"I'm assuming that they'll help us with this invasion. Right?"

Immortal questioned Shape-Smith due to how his coming to Earth was complicated since he hopped onto the NASA ship when Mark and Fury rescued the Astronauts from crashing onto Mars. The Martian member nodded as he changed into his real form and opened their door where the team disembarked to check out the wounded and noticed how the survivors barely withstand the Sequids.

"Hello, fellow Martians. Nice to see you all again. I come from Earth with."

"Earth? You're the one that let this happen!"

The captain interrupted Shape-Smith on how it seemed that during the commotion on Mark and Fury's rescue of the humans. He mistakenly caused the Sequids to be released and latch themselves onto Sting Rage who has now taken over half of the ship. Shape-Smith wanted to have his say in how he was going to correct his mistake, the captain noticed the variety of humans and the rest of the guardians who seemed easy to be taken over.

"And you've brought humans that will be controlled by Sequids even further. Their host has already killed half of our crew!"

He claimed that humans could be easy to be taken over by the parasites if they came into contact with them. While the Guardians wanted to try and calm down the crew to help assure them, they had a way to stop them before they reached Earth or kill the survivors, Bullet noticed what seemed to look like a Sequid coming towards him as he quickly stepped on the brain which made the Martians panicked at him killing the creature.

"What? It was coming up on my leg."

Bullet stated as they suddenly felt a rumbling down the hallways as the Sequid that he killed had alerted the rest of their location. Taking precaution of the oncoming swarm, Monster Girl and Fury rushed over to the entrance where they closed off the door from entering the room.

"Get the survivors on the ship now!"

Immortal taking charge of the scene as Samson and Wrench helped out with escorting the Martians into their ship so the Sequids didn't kill them. Everyone prepared for the Sequid attack as the door Monster Girl and Fury pushing against burst open letting in a flood of Sequids coming in and filling the room. The team circled up with each other and saw how the room had become filled with Sequids and waiting to latch themselves onto them, they waited patiently as they saw rising from the swarm was Sting Rage who had several of them on his body and holding an Sequid shaped trident.

"We were waiting for this reunion Fury. The anger we developed for Martians and have grown during our journey to Earth. But now, it is time to join the Sequids!"

He announced as Sting rage pointed his trident towards them as the swarm quickly rushed the Guardians as the team tried their best to avoid them latching onto them. They used different types of attacks to kill them but was meaningless since the more they squished, the more that continued to overwhelm them. Wrench used his water attacks to push them to the side as he looked over seeing Sting rage begin the one in command of them.

"He's the source of their power, we need to destroy him!"

Pointing out that he was the only one that was important in ending the fight as each of the Guardians tried to fly directly towards String Rage to soon be swatted by his trident. During the conflict, Robot was hiding behind Monster Girl as he was working on a device which would help separate the parasites and their host. Continuing to have the device ready, he was quickly jumped by the Sequids who begun to tear apart his armor to where they were close into possessing him.

"Back off!"

Mark shouted as he punches the Sequids off Rudy as he was now defenseless in being taken by the parasites. He notices in Rudy's hand was what looked like a speaker of his design that looked ready to be used in the fight.

"The creatures respond heavily towards high frequency sounds. This should separate them from Sting Rage."

Explaining what the device was as Eve placed over a dome around them to prevent the Sequids from overwhelming the team. Having it set to prime and ready to activate, Immortal would take the object and hurl it towards Sting Rage. Taking it and flying over to handle it, Mark stopped him as he pushed towards the wall since the old man wasn't up to handle it.

"Stop it! I'm stronger and faster than you, and you know it! Just cover me!"

Mark advised him which made Immortal conflicted at not being as strong as he used to be. Though he could tell that he was serious as the two worked together as they flew together towards Sting Rage which left the alien to hurl his parasitic minions towards them. Immortal was on the offense punching the Sequids away from Mark as he was protecting the device that continued to charge up to where it was ready to go off. Seeing everyone ready to be taken over and Immortal giving him the opening to attack Sting Rage, he throws the device like a football and sends it flying towards his chest which activates on impact.

"No!"

Sting Rage cried out as the Sequids flew off his body and caused the rest to let out a screech in pain as they lost their host and started to die. With the issue handled and the alien exposed, Fury walked over to aim his sword towards the fallen enemy preparing to end his life for causing this situation.

"During my trip here, I was wondering how I'd destroy. Either by my claws or my lighting, but seeing you like this almost lifeless? Seems enough. Which is why I'm going enjoy seeing you locked up again."

He spoke as it didn't seem worth it in destroying him as Fury looked over seeing the Guardians alright and had managed to avoid being hurt from the Sequids. He didn't notice from behind was Sting Rage going for the kill and was about to pierce him through the chest with his trident, only to be stopped by Shape-Smith who enlarged his hand into a fist and crushed the alien quickly. Surprised how quickly he killed Sting Rage and saving Fury's life.

"Damn. That's a splat compared to what we've been doing."

Samson spoke since most of them were covered in Sequid substance since most of them had lost the strength to continue fighting. With them dead and unable to do anything, the Martians came out looking relieved at how the parasites had been handled.

"We thank you for saving our lives and avoiding your world from being taken over like our home."

The captain thanking the Guardians and the others as they felt gratification from being thanked for saving them. The moment was cut short with several of the Martians walked over to Shape-Smith where they aimed several guns towards him on how he was responsible for the mess.

"But we must make the betrayer pay for letting this happen in the first place."

He pointed out how Shape-Smith would be kept here to pay for his crimes for having the Sequids come and possess Sting Rage in the first place. Each of the heroes took a moment to think if it was right to turn him into Martian custody since it was his fault in the first place. However, he helped out in fighting them and saving Fury from getting stabbed by the beaten alien. Each of them giving off a different expression in how to answer knew what seemed right for the traitor of Mars.

Later-Outside the ship

Having several minutes passed on what they'd do with Shape-Smith. A small Martian ship flew out of the cruiser where it was being chased by several other Martians as they started to open fire on the guardians as they had kept the traitor for what he did for them back on the ship. Cramped inside was Rudy who was trying his best to understand the controls of the alien craft as well figure out how to fly it.

"Faster! Faster! Faster! Faster!"

Mark shouted since he wanted to leave the Martians sight of fire since most of the team couldn't breathe in outer space. Seeing how they weren't getting any chance of escaping, Immortal offered to fly out since he could handle not breathing in space. Opening the airlock and flying out to handle the incoming alien crafts. He rushes right through handling them with ease and making sure to not kill any of the pilots.

"Maybe that kid was right. I'm getting slow, but that doesn't mean I'm not sloppy."

Thinking to himself how he could have taken out the ships in an instant but felt slower due to the times he'd come back from dying. With having the ships handled and seemingly out of harm's way, Rudy was ready to set coordinates for Earth until something came up on their screen.

"The incoming object isn't a ship. It looks like a person."

Wrench examining the image of what was coming at them to which Immortal went ahead to make sure it didn't come to contact with the ship. Thinking that it was Nolan who could withstand the coldness of space, he gripped his fist tightly and prepared ready to fight him. The incoming object was Allen the alien who was in a different attire of clothing and was looking dazed at him making it here.

"Yes! I knew this is where Invincible be if there was trouble. Oh, your not him."

Allen sounding relived on finding Invincible and not expecting seeing Immortal. The man was confused by the words he could hear from Allen, but also was traumatized how he knew about the kid. Thinking that Omni-man sent him to go after him, he flew at Allen to try and land a punch on him. The cyclops blocked each of the punches seeing how they didn't hurt him, especially how he could end this with one swing.

"I'm just looking for Invincible. I heard from a Martians comm that they needed help because a Viltrumite was saving them from Sequids."

Explaining his reason for being here as Immortal didn't believe him and continued to attack him. Having no time and wanted to take out Immortal, Allen was denied the chance to end the fight as Mark flew right between the middle stopping them from throwing fists since this wasn't the time to fight since they just escaped from the Martians.

"Can we please take this somewhere away from the Martians that are possibly calling more ships to shoot at us?!"

Mentally shouting to Allen and Immortal in which he could hear it but could see from his gestures that they had to leave. Seeing several ships coming towards them, the trio flew back to the ship and left Rudy to fly the now bigger group back home and avoid being shot at from the Martians.

Earth-Sledge's Base

Several hours returning back home and taking the Guardians back to base for them to rest from the trip. Heading back to the gang's home to settle from their trip, Allen took the time to look around the place since it was his first time being on the planet as well within a home like this.

"Not too bad. I mean the Coalition have homes that could fit a giant, but this place is shabby."

He complimented the place as Wrench stopped him from breaking anything since the cyclops was looking at the objects around him. Just as Wrench was keeping an eye on him, Mark was getting a cup of water since this was the first time he had a minute when he came back. Especially after taking Eve to the hospital to check on Rex and the others who were injured from the Lizard League's attacks on them. He didn't see Strickler coming from the side with a cup of tea who was fascinated with the large cyclops in the living room.

"Unopan, what a fascinating species. Origin planet Unopa, rather simple race and ordinary compared to most species. Yet this one is different, he's twice the size of an average Unopan."

Doing an observation of Allen who recognized his race and knew his planet of origin, but pointed out how Allen was the twice the size when Mark had last met him. The two walked over where the alien noticed them staring at him and how different he was which left him to chuckle at his new size.

"Right. Should have mentioned it back on the ride back here, didn't want to say it since there many costumed people in the ship. It seems that I got stronger after encountered several Viltrumite agents who had already claimed a world, got to confident and got my ass kicked. But get this, my boss who helped me during my regeneration, is a Viltrumite who rebelled against the Viltrumites years ago."

Explaining his new appearance and the person who was in charge of the Coalition was a Viltrumite who wanted to stand against his people's agenda in conquering the galaxy. It surprised them and Mark due to how despite his father fighting his own people to then being taken, there was someone else like him that wouldn't be like the Viltrumites and attack innocent worlds for power. Taking a moment to look formal, Allen placed his hand over his heart as he seemed to be posing to rely on a message to him.

"On behalf of Thaedus and the Coalition of Planets, I am to escort you to Talescria to discuss our war against the Viltrum Empire and how you can help."

Telling Mark about the reason for being here which left Mark to deny him the request since he'd just made it back to Earth after dealing with fighting his own people to then fighting off the Sequids. Allen could tell how he wasn't up for the task as he looked at Wrench and Strickler to see if he could convince him into coming to visit the organization as well Thaedus.

"Allen. Things have gotten more complicated on Earth since you last met him, presumably because both Nolan and Sledge were taken by the Viltrumites. Also worth noting that he's becomes Earth's strongest hero, meaning the planet needs protection despite the heroes you've met."

Wrench offering his words on why Mark seemed hesitant in coming back with him to space and start fighting again since it was traumatic to fight the Viltrumites. Strickler, on the other hand had to lay another point that was vital since it be too soon to send him back out to space and get killed since he was fortunate to come back intact.

"Whether or not he would want to return and be beaten again. I believe you as well this 'Coalition of Planets' barely know how to fight them let alone killing since the only way is with another Viltrumite."

The professor expressed a perspective of how it seemed impossible to fight them if they didn't have an advantage against them. While they bickered about on there being a solution to this issue, Mark got up and headed to Sledge's room since there was something he left for him since he wanted to hide stuff from his mom back at the house.

"When my dad wasn't acting like a superhero. He posed as an author writing sci-fi stories, my mom didn't want me to read since they were graphic. I stashed them here so that she didn't throw them out, but I remembered something about the covers. It's Viltrumite clothing."

Explaining about Nolan's secret identity as he placed his belongings on the table for the two to look at. Handing them each a book of Nolan's stories, they looked into the pages to read numerous space adventures which depicted on his life before coming to Earth. Allen's eye widen on the stories that he'd written which were based on real planets and people.

"Holy Shit. Rognarrs, Space Racer and the infinity gun. Half of these stories are real and could actually help us out, is it alright I can scan this? It can be vital against the empire."

Allen asked and exclaiming the important how these stories could help get an edge after the Viltrumites. Mark nodded to him as the alien pulled out a scanner that allowed him to scan the text from each of Nolan's books that could help the Coalition in arming themselves if they couldn't meet Mark face to face. With having given Allen the information he needed for his fight in space but knew that he couldn't stay out for too long since he remembered of the mission the Krieg gave him. Whether it would happen sooner or later, Mark would have to prepare his planet for when the Viltrumites arrive to Earth. He just hope that everyone would be ready for their arrival.
