Originally this was going to be part of the next chapter, but it does not fit with it so I'm having it be a minisode. Also closing the month with one more upload, because I am just that generous.
Minisode - Lucy on the Couch
In the attic of the Loud House, Lucy laid on a therapy couch while Grim and Eris sat near her on a sofa taking notes.
Lucy sighed, "I mean…Lincoln and I have always been close. He even says I'm his closest sister. But now that I'm told that we're soulmates-"
"I'm stopping you there. Soulmates are NOT a real thing." Grim interrupted.
"What about Paris and Helen?" Eris asked.
"Like I said, NOT a real thing."
"I know I am one for the disturbing, but this is too much for me." Lucy admitted.
"Does it help to know the Wraith wasn't related to Lucius before they got together?" Grim asked.
Lucy shook her head, "It does not."
Eris shrugged, "I don't see what the big deal is? This sort of thing happens in my family all the time."
Grim turned towards her, "Eris, I am saying this with all the offense I can muster: your family is the most messed up, toxic, abusive, unpleasant lot I have ever met. Their very existence and downright pettiness is a pretty big thing to blame for all of humanity's ills, especially since your father BROUGHT them onto humanity."
Eris rubbed her chin, "Even Uncle Hades and Aunt Persephone?"
Grim shrugged, "Okay, I'll give ya those two. They cut contact from the rest of them for a reason though."
"What reason was that?" Lucy asked.
"Lucy, we are dealing with your drama now. You don't want to deal with drama from the gods."
"Maybe she is trying to deflect her problems by paying attention to anything but herself, it is kinda the Olympians modus operandi." Eris pointed out.
"I am also curious." Lucy admitted.
"Her father and her aunt Persephone had an affair. It was messy. Happy?" Grim flatly told her.
Lucy shook her head, "No. That does sound worse than what I'm going through though."
Eris nervously smiled, "Uh, right, well, enough about my messy family. Lucy, Try to see it this way: whatever your uh…self in the far past…uh, how far again?"
"It was the late 1300's." Grim answered.
"Oh, so not too long ago. Anyway, you are not that person, Lucy."
"Not unless this fan fiction is about to take a really disturbing turn just to get attention." Grim added.
It isn't.
