Skye was awake early on Easter morning. She looked over at the air mattress where Lila was still asleep. She crawled out the other side of the bed and went into the kitchen where Bruce was already sitting with a cup of tea.
"Good Morning," Skye said.
"Good Morning," Bruce said. "How are you feeling today?"
"I think better," Skye said.
"Good," Bruce said. "I want to take some more blood from you this morning. If you are okay with it."
"Of course," Skye said.
The two went downstairs once Bruce was done with his tea and Bruce took some blood from her.
"Your shoulder feels better too?" Bruce asked.
"Yes," Skye said.
"Good," Bruce said.
Once they were done in the lab they went back upstairs where breakfast was being made.
Skye went to her bedroom and went to shower and get dressed for the day before she went back to the kitchen to help with making breakfast. After breakfast and clean up Tucker came into the compound.
"Hey!" Skye said with a smile going over to him and wrapping her arms around his neck.
Tucker set the pies he had brought down and hugged her tight lifting her and spinning her. He smiled. She seemed happier than she had in a while.
Skye chuckled and kissed him.
Tucker kissed her and set her down letting her go. "I brought a couple of pies."
He was thanked and told where he could set them.
"Anything that needs to be done?" Skye asked.
"Yes, can you hurdle all the kids into the living room and put on a movie or something?" Pepper asked.
"Yes," Skye said with a smile and she and Tucker did as asked.
When Skye sat down America placed a fussing James in her lap and he calmed down instantly.
"I will never understand how he just chills when he's in your arms," America said.
Skye smiled and shrugged, "I'm around him all the time. He knows me better."
The baby took one of Skye's fingers and started to play with it.
"Or you are just good with kids," Lila said with a chuckle.
"Yeah. Let's say I'm good with kids after what happened when I was watching Nate on the farm last time," Skye said with a chuckle.
"That was him doing something he knew he wasn't supposed to," Lila said.
"While I had my back to him while texting," Skye said.
"Yeah well. He's ten. You shouldn't have had to have your eyes on him every second," Lila said.
Skye shrugged.
"That was not your fault Skye," Laura called from the kitchen.
Lila smirked. "Told you."
"Okay," Skye said with a chuckle.
Loki came into the compound with Orri.
"Wow you came through the front door instead of teleporting in," Skye said with a smirk.
"I wasn't putting him through that," Loki said nodding to Orri.
Skye chuckled and said hello to Orri.
"Everyone this is Orri," Skye said.
Lila's head snapped to Skye with a questioning look.
"Right. You don't know the update," Skye said. "Everything has been worked through."
"Okay," Lila said slowly.
"So. Orri. Welcome," Skye said.
Loki introduced everyone to Orri before they both sat in the living room.
Skye noticed Lila watching Orri carefully. Skye got her attention and silently told her it was fine and to knock it off.
Lila focused her attention back on the movie reluctantly.
When the meal was ready they were all called and everyone came and sat at the table. Every large family meal there were more and more people who filled up the table.
Skye watched Carol move a little slower. "Carol. The baby putting extra pressure on you right now?"
"A little. Nothing I can't handle," Carol said with a smile
"Just a reason for her to slow down and move in here and stop causing your dad stress," Bucky said with a smirk.
Skye chuckled. "You finally moving in?"
"Yes," Carol said with a smile. "I have taken care of what I needed to and can focus on relaxing now."
"That's great," Skye said with a smile.
After dinner, all the teens took care of clean up and spent the rest of the day playing board games.
Once everyone who was leaving headed home Skye and Lila found their way into her room.
"So, when did you and Orri make up? And Loki and Orri together?" Lila asked.
"Orri wasn't the one who called the paparazzi. He apologized when I was there after Christmas. For trying to force the kiss when I was there a couple of years ago. And the two of them have been kind of together I guess for a while. I didn't know until I was there after Christmas. He seemed sincerely sorry and he and Loki are happy together so I forgave him and we moved on," Skye said.
"Okay," Lila said slowly.
"Lila. I'm over it," Skye said.
"Are you? Or are you just putting someone else's happiness over yours again?" Lila said.
"I'm really okay with it," Skye said with a smile.
"Okay," Lila said.
"But am I the only one who noticed something off with Renée?" Skye asked.
"No. Something is off with her. Cooper has been trying for months to figure it out. But yeah she's not telling him shit," Lila said.
"Ah," Skye said.
"Yeah. It's driving him nuts," Lila said.
"Well I guess it will likely come out at some point," Skye said before she went into her bathroom and started to wash her face and get ready for bed.
