Scene changes to at the docks where the boats were parked
You are reckless
"That's one way to start a song." said Percy.
"I agree." said Hazel. "At least it isn't that bad though, I mean it could be worse."
"Considering the circumstances it really could have been worse." said Frank.
Sentimental at best
That's not a teaching of mine
You've grown soft
"Soft is a way to display it." said Clarisse.
"But did she not see what he did at the cave, as in the wine part was intellectual." said Leo.
"You know what that means?" asked Annabeth, surprised.
"I am just that smart you know,
"How do you spell intellectual?" asked Reyna.
"I-n-t-e-l-e-" started Leo.
"Wrong." laughed Thalia.
"Oh, shut up!"
"But Odysseus is really not soft, that's just a Goddess way of saying 'you didn't do it my way so you're wrong'." said Percy.
"But most of the time it's true." said Annabeth.
"Fair enough, but still! He got out, didn't he?"
"But what he did is going to have major consequences in the future and Athena even warned him." said Jason.
"I'm not saying I disagree that what he did was wrong; I'm just saying that there is more than one way of doing the right thing at it isn't necessarily the Gods way." said Percy.
"Fair." said Nico.
"Okay let's continue now." said Piper.
Your dead friends can attest
"Harsh." said Piper.
"I like Athena more and more the more we listen." said Clarisse.
"His friends just died! Give him a break!" screamed Percy.
He certainly knew the feeling Odysseus must have felt. Polites - his best friend - is now dead and he needs time to adjust to it like every mortal but the Gods weren't used to this trauma, they hardly ever lose anyone unless they fade out of existence.
Hey
"Careful with that tone, Athena's angry as is." said Hazel.
Put your emotions aside
"I don't want to keep all my emotions away. It's what makes us who I am." said Grover.
"She said 'warrior' not 'saytr'." smirked Clarisse.
"Hey, he is a warrior! He protected the majority of us here and none of us would be alive if it wasn't worth it for saytrs!" exclaimed Thalia, loudly.
Clarisse went silent, she wasn't used to people bossing her around but Thalia was her superior even though she is smaller and technically younger than her now.
You're a warrior
Meant to lead the rest
"People make mistakes all the time." said Jason.
"Even the best warrior." added Reyna.
I don't know where I went wrong
But I warned you
And you failed the test
"I highly doubt this was a test." said Leo. "How could it be."
So now I'm gone
"What?!" shouted everyone.
This way, you'll know what your place is
This way, you can't cross the line
This way, when all is over
You'll keep yours and I'll keep mine
This way, you won't disappoint me
This way, you won't waste my time
This way, I'll close the door
Consider this as my goodbye
At this point, Annabeth was in full tears and recalled when her mother did the same thing to her. That memory kept on repeating in her head over and over again and now Odysseus was feeling it too. Everyone in the room comforted her and after half an hour of tissues, ice cream and hugs; they continued watching.
That's just like you
"I believe that was the first time she said anything like that." said Frank. "What does he mean by 'That's just like you'?"
"It means that he's being a boy," said Reyna. "No offence Frank."
Why should I be surprised?
"That's just rude." said Thalia. "Respect her after everything that she has done for you."
Selfish and prideful and vain
"I mean, not to be rude but Athena was acting like a butthole." said Percy.
Everyone stared at him.
"What? Someone had to say it! No Goddess is going to make my girlfriend cry." said Percy.
He then kissed Annabeth on the cheek.
"Adorable." screamed Piper.
Unlike you
Every time someone dies
I'm left to deal with the strain
"She never experienced true loss before." said Nico.
"She's a Goddess after all." said Will.
What's a title
That a Goddess could lend
"What does he mean by that?" asked Leo.
"He's saying that whatever title Athena gives him can easily be taken away if he messes up." said Hazel.
If I'll never sleep at night?
I'll remind you
I saw you as a friend
But now we're done
"Man, you shouldn't be saying this to a Goddess. She can kill you in less than a second." said Percy.
"Especially since she isn't her child." said Leo.
"Yeah, she does do that quite a lot." mumbled Annabeth.
"Anne, honey, you need to calm down." said Piper.
"How about a girls night, no boys." said Thalia.
"Hey! What's wrong with us!" complained Leo.
"We all know the answer to that." smiled Hazel.
They all decided to take another break and the boys and girls spilt up and after an hour, they decided to watch again on the sofas.
This way, you're out of my head now
This way, you won't plague my life
This way, when all is done
You're out of sight and out of mind
This way, you get what you wanted
This way, you can save your time
This way, you close the door
And have your damn goodbye
"He really is pushing his luck." said Frank.
"Agreed." said Will. "I am still shocked on how he still is alive."
"He should be dead right now." said Nico.
You're not looking for a mentor
I'm not looking for a friend
I mistook you for a general
What a waste of effort spent
"Now she's angry." said Reyna.
"Ooh, this is spicy and I like it!" exclaimed Clarisse.
Everyone stared at her.
"What? I may as well enjoy what I'm watching." said Clarisse.
At least I know what I'm fighting for
While you're fighting to be known
Since you claim you're so much wiser
Why's your life spent all alone?
You're alone
"Hey, virginity is a perfectly acceptable thing!" exclaimed Reyna.
"Yes! I think there should be more virgin gods." said Thalia. "Four is actually crazy. There are hundreds of Gods and yet only four are there."
"I thought there were only three." said Jason. "Diana, Vesta and Minerva."
"You forgot about Trivia." said Reyna.
"Who are they in Greek mythology again?" asked Piper.
"Diana is Artemis, Vesta is Hestia, Minerva is Athena and Trivia is Hecate."
"Okay, thanks!"
One day, you'll hear what I'm saying
One day, you might understand
One day, but not today
For after all you're
(Just a man)
"Using his own words against him. Such an Athena move." smirked Nico.
This day, you sever your own head
This day, you cut the line
This day, you lost it all
Consider this as my goodbye(oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Consider this as my goodbye (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
This is my goodbye (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Consider this as my goodbye (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
This is my goodbye
Athena vanishes
Everyone was lost for words, they couldn't believe this was happening.
Author's Note:
RexTheBest - I agree, it was very sad when Polites died! In the real Odyssey he died on Circe's island so I was very upset and shocked when he died at Polyphemus's cave.
