How has everything been turned against us?
How did suffering become so endless?
"We all wonder that." said Will.
"Except we now know..." started Percy.
"The Gods." they all said.

"We all make mistakes." replied Annabeth. "But you've made more rights than wrong."

"No, you need to stop saying that." said Leo.
"Eurylochus is getting into his head." said Frank.
"You have to believe you are making the right decision," said Percy. "I have made so many people lose their lived but you need to remember it's the best thing you could do. You have to look into the future, the past can't be changed."
What if I'm the one that killed you
Every time I caved to guilt?
What if I've been far too kind to foes
But a monster to ourselves?

"I wish he could hear us." said Hazel.
"It would make things a lot easier." said Reyna.
"But these are just memories in which we are looking into," said Thalia. "He has probably already left the Underworld and the whole sagas would have finished, these songs are just a few clips of his adventure."
"Yeah, just a mere couple of hours rather than over a decade." said Jason.
Is the cyclops struck with guilt when he kills?
Is he up in the middle of the night?
Or does he kill my men to avenge his friend
And then sleep knowing he has done him right?
"That creates a lot of new thoughts," said Clarisse. "If we were the cyclops, wouldn't we have done the same thing to protect our friend."
"Probably." said Percy.
"I hate to admit it, but yes. I still hate Polyphemus though." said Grover.

"Circe has faced a lot." said Reyna. "It's true, she never told me about loving anyone but one thing she always said that is similar to EPIC is that she says all men are pigs."
"There is some lore in this we haven't learnt about but we can infer it happened." said Leo.
"Yeah, strangers have destroyed her life and now she protects her people - her nymphs - by turning anyone that crosses her path into pigs to protect herself and her nymphs." said Annabeth.
When a God comes down and makes a fleet drown

"I wish he was." said Percy. "That would make things a lot easier for me."

"But Poseidon always cared for his children," added Annabeth, seeing Percy's sad face. "That could be the reason."

"He's comparing his decisions to the foes he met." said Grover.
"Yeah: Poseidon, Circe and Polyphemus." said Frank.
"That can't be healthy for his mental health, this could lead him into depression." said Will. "He needs to be careful."
"But it would make sense for everything he faced through." said Nico.
If I became the monster and threw that guilt away
Would it make us stronger?
Would it keep our foes at bay?
"What is he talking about?" asked Hazel. "I'm really confused."
"He's saying if he should do the bad things as well." said Hazel.
"But why?"
"Because if his enemies won't play the game properly, why should he?" said Annabeth.
"This could change the whole story forever." said Piper.
"No wonder this is the last song of Act I." said Jason.

And made sure we got home again

"Oh, he has every reason to change." said Hazel.
"You know the phrase?" asked Nico. "The only thing more dangerous than someone who has something to lose is someone with nothing to lose."
So if we must sail through dangerous oceans and beaches
I'll go where Poseidon won't reach us
And if I gotta drop another infant from a wall
In an instant so we all don't die
Then I'll become the monster
"No!" they all screamed.
Their hero was turning into a monster, everything they respected and loved about him was changing into a... monster.
I will deal the blow

Like none they've ever known
So what if I'm the monster
Lurking deep below?
