As Stella was waiting on the campus green for the specialist to arrive, she saw 4 Wind Riders approaching the school. But strangely enough ,she saw something else racing alongside them. It was a large goat with a pair of curving black horns that extend over its back ,shaggy brown fur under a thick, green leafy mane that extends down its back and ends in a short, bushy tail and a large saddle carrying a saddlebag on its right side.

"Weird, did the guys invite someone else?" The Solarian princess thought.

Just as the group reached the campus of Alfea, She saw the goat's rider was a dark skinned young men with short, curly black hair and brown eyes. He wore a black collared shirt, brown cargo jeans and red sneakers with yellow lighting patterns across them.

"Looks like I stand corrected, that thing can run as fast as our Wind Riders." Timmy said as he examined the creature.

The new guy smirks as he scratched behind the goat's ear"Like I said, who needs a Wind Rider when I got Cliff."

"If that's the case how's about we have a race on the way back, last place does the winner's chores for a week." Riven enthusiastically challenged.

Confused Stella asked "So who's the new guy?"

"This is Rook, he got injured right before the summer training camp and got transferred to our squad a few days ago " Sky responded.

The rookie argued "Seriously I told you for the last time , my name is Austin."

"It's a Red Fountain tradition for transfers and newbies, you'll only get your name back after this mission." Brandon states with a mischievous smirk.

"Finally, I can be treated like a person again." Austin said ready to prove his worthy to his teammates. He dismounted Cliff and feed it a handful of grain from its pouch to convince the goat to stay put.

As they followed Stella into the entrance hall, the boys had found themselves tricked into helping the "Winx Club" with cleaning up the campus.

Riven groans "So we missed the concert and a night off, just to help you girls with your punishment."

Musa attempts to calm Riven down "It's not hard, I promise. And if the ten of us.." she notices Austin and asked "When did you get a new squad mate?"

Before Austin could say anything, Stella says "His name is Rook, he got transferred to their squad a few days ago."

Austin tapped the brow of his forehead with his fist as he thought "Well looks like that name is going to stick."

Bloom says "Anyways the quicker we clean up, the longer we get to party. So grab your weapons." She tossed brooms out to the guys as Brandon, Austin and Sky caught them effortlessly, Timmy fumbled a bit but was able to hold on to it as Riven didn't make an effort catch it and allowed the broom drop at his feet.

Tecna says "The easiest way to do this is to spilt the work up between two teams. Stella, Bloom, Brandon, Timmy and I will take the halls and stairwells."

Musa says "Then that leaves the grand ballroom to me, Flora , Sky , Rook and Riven."

As the teams broke up to do their work, Sky asked "Wait Rook, do you have to check up on your ride first."

"Cliff should be fine for an hour or two, So I'll check after we're done with the job." Austin says as he looked around to admire the school's architecture

Confused Flora says "I thought guys calling their bikes by names was a myth."

"Actually Cliff isn't a bike, it's this insanely fast goat that Rook rode here on." Sky corrected the girl.

Flora eyes widen as she exclaimed "That must be a Meadow Back Goat, I'm guessing you're a beast tamer."

Taken by surprised , Austin confirmed "Yeah , let me guess you have to be a mind fairy on how you figured that out."

"Nope, I'm a Nature Fairy and from Linepha, plus I noticed your summoner pendant ." Flora said as she points to the 5 grey petal flower shaped locket on the beast tamer's neck.

A smile formed on Austin's face"Yeah I've been training for a few years, got a few other creatures." He began listing off his creatures "A Bazooka Kraken called Octavia, my Statros Eagle , Nimbus, A Lava Gecko named Flint, my MagiWolf , Quarry-"

Flora enthusiastically interrupted him "I'm guessing you also got that from Linepha too?"

Austin playfully answered "Actually, I caught Quarry on Eraklyon. But I've heard the two are fairly similar."

Flora says "I have one back home, so if you have a questions, I'm your girl."

Sky cleared his voice to draw their attention and said "If you're done flirting, we got cleaning to do."

The two blushed as they turned away from each other and started cleaning.

In a little over 30 minutes, the ten teens finished cleaning and as the girls went to their dorms to get changed, Austin went back outside to check on Cliff.

As Austin was petting the goat, he heard Sky say "Seems you were enjoying yourself tonight."

Confused Austin asked "What do you mean by that?"

The brunette specialist smirks "You and Flora were flirting the second we got here"

Embarrassed Austin attempts to deny it "N-n-no way, the two of us were just talking about common interests. W-we weren't flirting."

Riven walked up to the two and scoffs "I don't know what you call it on your realm but here that was definitely flirting."

Sky chuckles as he realized something "Hey Rook, you never told us where you're from."

"Well.. I'm from Magix but I spent most of my life traveling. Some time on Repterra , Several weeks on Andros, but I spent alot of time on Naturia."

Curious Riven asked "Really, so you've probably seen some people from the Wild Beast-Fist Temple at some point?"

"I mean when you've trained at the temple, its hard not to see them." Austin said in a nonchalant tone.

Shocked , the two exclaimed "No way, you actually trained at the temple."

Riven rolled up Austin's left shirt sleeve and asked "But I thought those who reached apprentice had a mark on their arm."

Austin slipped out of Riven's grip to pull his his left pant leg to show a red paw mark on his outer calf "I decided to be different."

Sky nods "A Beast Tamer and skilled martial artist, guess Saladin wasn't joking about you being a good addition to the squad."

Riven smirks "True, we definitely have to spar tomorrow."

Flora walked up to the trio and says "So I'm guess this is Cliff. When did you two meet?"

Without them knowing , Sky and Riven went back to the dorm rooms as Austin explained "It was 2 springs ago on Linphea, catching Cliff wasn't too hard, but taming him was another story."

Flora says "Definitely , based on his size, Cliff was definitely a pack leader."

Austin smiled "I could see that, he was stubborn at first but we managed to see eye to eye at some point."

He hands Flora a handful of grain and gestures her to feed Cliff. Flora extended her hand towards the goat as it began eating out of her hand.

Flora giggles at the creature nibbling at her hand "Hehehe, it sort of tickles."

Austin says "That shows he likes you, if he didn't he'd try bitting it off."

After finishing feeding Cliff, Flora looked to see the two of them were alone"Want to head back to the others?"

Somewhat nervous, Austin said "S..sure thing, lead the way."

As the duo walked into dorm room, they saw Austin's new teammates recounting a training exercise from their sunmer training camp with them hearing Timmy say ".. and at this point, there's still ten Frost Giants left."

Riven adds "You should've seen these things. They've got biceps the size of oak trees."

Almost simultaneously, Flora and Austin said "But Frost Giants are usually friendly."

Stella smirks "Seems the two of you really hit it off if you're that in sync."

The two blush as they moved away from each other. Attempting to change the subject, Austin asked "So what happened with those Frost Giants?"

As Stella was pouring Sky a drink, the room began to shake as the teens struggled to maintain their balance while Cliff started bleating.

Once the quake finished , Bloom asked "Was that an Earthquake?"

Flora suggested "Maybe a dragon got loose?"

Timmy shook his head "Can't be, the nearest stables are at Red Fountain."

Austin adds "Plus with how Codatorta is about maintaining the stables, I doubt they could get loose."

Sky commanded "Still we gotta check it out."

Riven gave a piercing whistle and obediently the bikes flew towards their owners while Austin shouted out Cliff's name, causing the creature to scale the building walls to do the same.

Once the boys got on their rides, they headed down to investigate. They saw the hallway covered in debris and other rubble with a massive hole in the wall.

Brandon says "Half the wall is gone, have any clue what could do this Rook."

It was then Cliff's body dispelled into an orange aura with the energy forming a sixth petal on Austin's pendant. In Cliff's place summoned a quadrupedal brown furred wolf with white markings around its paws, neck, and bushy tail along with long, rocky spikes around its neck from another of the pendant's petals.

While the beast was sniffing around the crime scene, the girls caught up to them with Musa asking "So did you see anything?"

Austin took a look at the wall and says "If I had to guess from this hole and the tremors, we're dealing with a Minotaur." He tussled at the wolf's fur "Isn't that right, Quarry?"

Quarry barked in agreement as he handed Austin a piece of blue fur. Austin adds "Not sure how it got here but with 5 specialists and 5 fairies, this shouldn't be an issue."

Bloom corrected Austin "Well.. we don't have our magic due to our punishment. So we won't be that much help."

Somewhat nervous, Timmy asked "What are our odds now, Rook?"

Trying to keep anyone from panicking, Austin says "Definitely going to be tough but we should manage."

As the boys minus Austin pulled out their weapons and made their way through the hole, the girls followed with Bloom stating "We're going with you."

Riven declined "No way." As he shook his head dismissively to the idea.

Musa yelled at him "How many times do we have to prove ourselves to you!?"

Riven argued "Look this isn't me being an asshole. Without your powers you'll be liabilities, so just leave this to us."

Flora says "But we've taken a physical defence class, we can handle ourselves."

Riven states "Sure you could probably handle a random mugger, but this is a Minotaur, even Rook thinks it's dangerous."

Flora looked towards Austin, but the Beast tamer turned away to avoid her gaze.

Sky attempts to deescalate the situation "We're not saying you girls aren't strong, but without powers we'd be too caught up trying to protect you."

Riven rolled his eyes as he took off "We're wasting time here, let's go."

Right as the other guys left, Austin ordered Quarry "Stay with the girls just encase this thing circles back."

As Austin joined up with the guys , he asked "Don't you think you were a bit harsh Riven?"

Riven scoffs "They're safer out there, unless you want to see your girlfriend hurt."

Embarrassed Austin says "We're not dating, we literally meet today."

Riven smirks "Can you really say that with all that flirting you two did tonight, especially feeding your goat."

"Is that a new euphemism or something." Timmy playfulyy adds.

Austin sighed as he changed the subject "Let's just get this over with."

The group fell quiet as then moved deeper into the school with them following the debris into a dark room.

Sky commended "Can someone get us a light?"

Timmy said "On it" as he lit up a flare to illuminate the room. The light exposed more of the damage to the room. Tables turned over, chairs reduced to splitters and a whole in the ceiling.

Sky comments "Seems this thing has jump. Let's find some stairs and intercept it on the next floor."

Austin says "I know a faster way up." The beast tamer pulled out a short dark grey staff with a 3 fingered claw covered in dark red scales on top. The claw shoot out from the staff connected by a glowing orange energy cable , allowing for the beast tamer to scale his way to the next floor.

He smirked as he made sure the ground was stable "Alright gang, who's next."

Following Austin pulling up each of his teammates up through the hole, Timmy asked while inspecting Austin's weapon "Where did you get that thing."

Austin answered "I made a request for a multi-function weapon. With a a spring loaded cable, a telescoping shaft and a Fire Jacket Claw, Ive dubbed it the Varia-Rod or V-Rod for short."

Brandon mentioned "If we're done comparing weapons we have a mission to complete. So let's spilt up to find this thing."

Sky declined that action"No way, safety in numbers."

Brandon states "Still we gotta find this thing quick before it cause more damage."

It was then the boys heard a distinct bark and crashing noise coming from up a head.

Austin declared "That's Quarry." As he rushed off towards the sound of his wolf.

The boys immediately followed as they saw Musa jumped over the fully grown Minotaur.

Riven smirks "Now this is my kind of party, seems we're here right on time."

Austin sees Quarry standing next to Flora and thought "Guess that explains how they got past Quarry."

Riven yelled at the beast "You with the ponytail." Once the Minotaur's attention was drawn towards him, the specialist challenged it "If you want a real challenge come over here."

Though Riven charged in swinging at the beast, it managed to avoid the sword strike. As he was avoiding the beast's four fist , Brandon stepped in with his sword and shield "Need a hand there?"

Sky adds appearing on his other side "Don't think you're getting all the fun, Riven."

Riven states "Just worry about your prince, squire boy, I can handle-."His statement was stopped by getting punched into a nearby classroom by the beast.

Timmy asked "So what are our chances now Rook?"

Austin smirks as the shaft of the Varia-Rod extended to form a bo staff "Timmy aim for the legs. Brandon and Sky be ready to strike the second it falls."

Timmy was quick and managed to shot out both of the creatures legs as it fell towards the floor.

While it was falling, Sky and Brandon leaped forward to strike it down with their Phantoblades. Unfortunately the beast was able to keep itself from failing as it swatted the Erakylon duo away.

Before Timmy could ask for a plan B, Austin ran straight towards the beast, the Minotaur swung a punch at him with its upper right arm. To everyone's shock, Austin leaped up to avoid the strike as he landed on top of the beast's neck and pressed his staff against its neck to secure himself.

While the beast was trying to shake him off , Austin yelled "Timmy, how good are you with that blaster?"

"I'm the best sharpshooter of our grade, if not the school." Timmy bragged.

Austin points to a spot in between the beast's shoulder and neck with his foot"When I say go, hit this spot at full blast."

Timmy steadied his aim as Austin was trying to keep the Minotaur still, once he saw Timmy had the perfect shot, the rookie shouts "GO!"

Instantly Timmy pulled the trigger as the blast hit its target with the Minotaur's body went limp as it fell to the floor.

Just as Austin's body was about to fall off, Quarry caught his tamer and cushioned his fall.

Austin groans "You didn't follow orders Quarry, so no special treats for a week."

Flora went up to Austin "Sorry it's just we really wanted to help, so I asked Quarry to lets us through."

He saw the wolf shake its head in agreement as Austin reluctantly restates "Fine, you'll only be on punishment for 3 days then."

As Riven walked his way back to the group, he asked "How did you take that thing out Rook?"

The newbie replied "Nerve Point, though I wasn't completely sure if a blaster could hit it."

Timmy smirked as he twirled his blaster in his fingers "I'm not the best sharpshooter in the grade for nothing."

Flora looked at the beast "Still where'd this thing come from?"

Still somewhat rattled by the hit, Riven mentioned "The creature preserve?"

Before Austin could refute that theory, he saw a baby purple duck walking around the creature.

Somewhat confused , Austin asked "Um guys , do you see a purple duck next to the Minotaur?"

Bloom responds "Yep and that duck means that Icy and those other witches are here."

Austin sighed "Guess rumors of your schools' rivalry undersell it."

Bloom states "It must mean they're trying to get the Ring of Solaria again. But I know how to trap them."

The redhead girl raced off after telling the rest of the group to follow her. Austin dispelled Quarry as he followed the girl "So what's the plan?"

Bloom responds "We're going to ambush them in Farogonda's office and find out what those witches want."

The group reached the headmistress office and waited in darkness until they heard the door open. As the group of witches began discussing trashing the place, Riven flicked the lights on to reveal their presence.

Stella said smugly "You are so surrounded."

Icy demanded as she was ready to attack "What are you doing here?"

It was then Headmistress Faragonda enters the room and asked ""I think the better question is what are all of you doing here?"

As the headmistress cleared things up and cast a containment spell on both the Trix and the minotaur, the specialist were gearing up to take the latter back to Red Fountain.

While Austin mounted Cliff, Flora says "Sorry things got a bit hectic."

Austin groaned as he rolled his shoulders "Yeah but I always wanted to tussle with a Minotaur."

Flora passed Austin a piece of paper and said "If you ever need advice on MagiWolves call me."

Austin accepted the paper and put it in his pocket and said "Thanks, guess I'll see you around." He grasped at Cliff's horns as he and the specialist took off to their school.

Brandon smirks "You did pretty good tonight Austin."

Confused Austin asked"Wait a second, did you use my actual name?"

Sky states "Not only did you help us with that Minotaur but you even managed to court a certain nature fairy. So for that you're an official member."

Austin groaned "Seriously guys were just friends, nothing more."

Riven chuckles "Please, you two will be all over each other by the end of year dance."

Brandon says "Hey guys I've been thinking, since Austin joined us, we should finally pick out a name for the squad."

Sky asked his blonde squire "Okay got any ideas?"

Brandon says "It's sort of based around the Winx name, I'm thinking we should call ourselves Team SABER."

Riven says "Sounds good but , why that name in particular."

Brandon states "It's because it uses each of our initials, S.A.B.E. R."

Confused Austin says "But doesn't Timmy's name start with a T?"

Timmy says "My last name is Evans, so it still works."

Sky says "Okay then all in favor of Team SABER."

The rest of the group yelled out "Aye" as their name was all but officially recognized.
