I've wanted to do this story ever since I watched the Paramount Sonic the Hedgehog movies and the Knuckles series.
Enjoy and no flames please!
Green Hills, Montana. A tiny town filled with beautiful mountains, friendly people, and peaceful surroundings.
One of the residents of this town was 35-year-old Jodie Junior. Jodie lived with her grandfather, Carl. But lately, everyone in town has been calling him 'Crazy Carl' because of this imaginary creature he's been chasing called the Blue Devil.
As much as Jodie loved her grandfather, she didn't believe in Carl's made-up monster. She would try to stop him from trying to catch something that did not exist, but Carl was stubborn like an ox. So, she just let Carl do whatever he wanted so he can learn the hard way that there is no Blue Devil and that he's only hurting himself.
Then, one day, Jodie and everyone else in Green Hills realized that Carl was indeed right. The Blue Devil was real! But he wasn't a devil. He was an alien named Sonic, gifted with the power of super speed! When a brilliant but mad scientist named Ivo Robotnik showed up trying to kill Sonic and local sheriff Tom Wachowski and his veterinarian wife, Maddie, Sonic decided to use his powers to fight back instead of running away.
After defeating Robotnik and sending him to a desolate mushroom planet, the Wachowski couple adopted Sonic as their son and Green Hills became a lot more interesting.
Despite being a super-powered alien from outer space, Sonic was still a kid who loved the simple pleasures of Earth. After getting to know Sonic, Jodie and the little blue alien became good friends.
And the good times were about to get better when Tom and Maddie were going to Hawaii for the wedding of Maddie's sister, Rachel. Jodie was in charge of watching Sonic and their Golden Retriever, Ozzy.
Jodie arrived at the Wachowski home in her red pick up truck. Her dark brown eyes sparkled with excitement. Her preferred outfit was a hot pink t-shirt, blue cargo pants, and purple sneakers. Her pixie cut dark brown hair was a little messy, but she didn't care. It was time to let loose!
With a big smile on her face, Jodie exited her car and pulled her rolling suitcase to the house. She knocked on the door and it swung open instantly. Sonic smiled up to his human friend. "Hey, Jodie!"
"Hey, Sonic!" Jodie high-fived her friend and entered the home. The Wachowski's Golden Retriever, Ozzy, came up to greet Jodie.
"Hi, Ozzy! How are you, baby?" Jodie cooed as she petted the loving dog. "You ready for this?" she asked Sonic.
"You know it!" Sonic said as he walked up the stairs with Jodie to the guest bedroom.
"I still can't believe Rachel is getting married." said Jodie as she unpacked.
Sonic shrugged. "Why's that so hard to believe?"
Jodie gave Sonic a look. "Dude, this is Rachel we're talking about. Remember?"
Sonic blinked. "Yeah, good point."
"I feel sorry for the groom. That wedding is going to be his funeral." Jodie joked before she and Sonic laughed together.
"Ahem."
Jodie and Sonic turned to see Maddie frowning at them. "How about you guys quit ripping on my sister and get the portal ready?"
"Sorry, Maddie." Jodie and Sonic apologized in unison.
As soon as Maddie walked away, Jodie leaned close to Sonic. "The sooner they leave, the better." she whispered.
"Oh, yes." Sonic couldn't agree more.
Downstairs, Jodie, Sonic, and Ozzy had the ring portal to Hawaii prepared. The three of them wore black ties and dark sunglasses as they stood by Sonic's pretend airport detector made out of mattresses.
"Welcome to Sonic Air, the fastest way to travel." said Sonic, holding a clipboard in one hand and a spatula in the other. "Now boarding groups one and two."
As Sonic used his spatula as a pretend metal detector to scan Maddie and Tom, Jodie couldn't help but adore Sonic and his antics. He was always so fun-loving and free, which is something she wasn't used to. All the human friends Jodie had growing up left Green Hills and scattered to the winds to be their own adults. But Jodie chose to stay in Green Hills to be with her grandfather.
Despite living a peaceful life and working a part-time job at the Green Hills Mall, Jodie hated being an adult with no friends. But when she's with Sonic, Jodie gets to indulge her inner child without being embarrassed. That was the kind of friend Jodie needed in her life.
And with Tom and Maddie gone for two days, it was going to be nothing but non-stop fun! As soon as the couple left, the party began! Sonic and Jodie did everything together! Blasting out loud music to dance to, Sonic doing skateboard tricks all over the house as Jodie filmed him on her phone, eating junk food while jumping on the furniture, but Jodie really loved giving each other zombie makeovers and taking pictures.
Sonic used his phone to take pictures of Jodie's zombie makeup. Her face was splattered with fake blood and over her left eye was a hanging eye prosthetic. "Oh, man! That hanging eyeball is so gross!"
"Thanks!" Jodie then took a bottle of strawberry syrup and sipped some in her mouth. She rolled her eye as she opened her mouth and moaned, letting the thick red liquid ooze from her maw.
Sonic laughed as he kept taking pictures. "Oh, yeah! Work it, baby! Show me what ya got!"
After the zombie makeup show, Jodie noticed that it was getting late and time for dinner. "You up for a pizza, Sonic?"
"Does a bear poop in the woods? Yes, I'm up for a pizza!"
"Alright! I'll order and pick it up!" Jodie put on her jean jacket and grabbed her purse.
"I don't get why you don't want the food delivered here." said Sonic.
"Because we can't have strangers know where you live, Sonic. You need to keep in mind that you're a space alien and the less people know you, the better." Jodie explained. "I'll be right back. Hold down the fort, keep the doors locked, and don't let anyone in but me. Okay?"
Sonic gave a salute. "Roger that!"
Jodie got in her truck and ordered the pizza. Once the order was placed, she drove off to town. She was almost at the pizza parlor when her bowles started acting up.
Starting to sweat as nature was calling her name, Jodie knew that the pizza parlor had no bathroom. So, she made a detour at the only public restroom in town that actually met Jodie's standards. It was always sparkly clean, smelled like lavender, and had heated toilet seats.
And the location of this majestic bathroom was at Jodie's favorite coffee shop, the Mean Bean Coffee Café.
