Hello Readers, you`ve probably already played Sun and Moon or the `enhanced` versions USUM, this story is a direct sequel to the events that happened in the ORIGINAL Sun and Moon.

when i played USUM i was disappointed, as the game`s story not only didn`t expand upon the original but it straight up made it worse (in my opinion), so this is my attempt on writing a USUM story as a sequel to the original games.

i will of course be making changes to the story to make it better fit, hope you enjoy reading as much as i am enjoying writing this

Pokémon: Lucent Luminary

Without it, I am nothing, it's all I have.

Do I still love it? I….. I don't know.

But I can't afford to lose it, I can't.

Elio stood firm, donning his signature battle pose, feet firmly planted, crossed arms that only unlock when giving orders to his partner Pokémon.

The caster's thundering voice echoed through the stadium, riling up the feverish crowd even more.

"AND our very first Alola Champion successfully defends his title YET AGAIN, is there anybody -a single living soul- who can put an end to this madman's reign?"

Elio withdrew himself from his battle pose, sound came flooding back into his ears, after a moment's realization he closed his eyes and let out a sigh of relief. Then he raised his hand to wave at the cheering crowd, wearing a faint smile.

Cheering everywhere, all the faces looked the same

A short walk later he was in the dressing room, permeated by the sound of rustling as Elio removed his jacket.

The boy sat on the bench and leaned back, moving his dark bangs away from his forehead, a relieved expression began taking hold of him, a much needed relief, however short lived.

"Hey cousin! How're you feelin'?"

Anyone else would've been frightened by the sudden yelling, not Elio however, he was used to how Kukui operated

"How many times do I have to remind you to knock before coming in?" Elio said, frowning "I could've been butt naked you know"

"C'mon coz, you never change in here, we both know that" Kukui said, as he removed his iconic white cap.

"Fair point" Elio sighed "so, anything you need?"

"So cold" Kukui exaggerating a pained expression on his face "you weren't always like this you know"

"I get that a lot" Elio said "so, did you need something?"

Kukui laughed, and sat down beside him

"Had fun today coz?" He asked

"Sure did"

"Your face says otherwise" Kukui said

"I'm terrible at expressing myself, mother always says so" Elio said

Kukui sighed, uncharacteristically

"Fair enough, coz, you know where to find me if you need anything alright?" He said as he got up to collect his belongings

"Just don't get too crazy with your wrestling in there" Elio said snickering

"No promises" Kukui Laughed

As he was about to head out he turned back to face Elio

"Oh shoot! almost forgot, you're going to your mother's today aren't you?"

Elio nodded

"Phew!, Okay, so there's this girl who's been dying to meet you, think can you make some time for her before heading over to your mother's?" Kukui asked

"Professor, I already asked you to not arrange anything on my behalf" Elio said with a serious expression

"Trust me coz, just humour me this one time, I won't ask you to do anything of the sort again" Kukui said putting his hands together and bowing slightly, pleading, of course Elio knew that he didn't really mean it.

He sighed deeply

"Fine, but she'll have to wait until I'm done signing my autographs as usual" Elio said as he rubbed his face

"Yeah! Dandy! Appreciate ya coz "He said "When you're done just head over to the Pokémon Center in Hau'oli, she should be there" Kukui then left before even giving Elio a chance to reply

"This man is as ridiculous as ever" Elio murmured to himself while laughing.

Elio gazed at the orange painted sky as a soft gust of wind tugged at his clothes, he was basking in the nostalgic fragrance of Hau'oli food stands mixed in with the scent of the ocean, he reached the city fairly quickly thanks to Pager rides.

He spied a couple of Malasada stands on the way to the designated meeting spot, and thought that it would be good idea to bring some to eat with his mother later. He did not wish to go empty handed, not after being absent from her life for months.

But all of that would have to wait until after the meeting.

Unbeknownst to Elio, However, was that this 'short and quick' meeting with a fan, would spiral into something big, bigger than he could have ever imagined.

POST CHAPTER NOTES

Two things: English is not my first language, so please do excuse any errors, just know that i'm trying my best to catch and correct any, second: This is also my first time attempting to write any sort of story so any feedback or constructive criticism is appreciated, will make me a better writer in the long run.
