Tommy tried to run after his cousin to get Reptar back, but given that he couldn't get out of the playpen, he watched in shock when he saw her throw his doll in the trash can.

"Oh, no!" Tommy cried. "Come on, guys. We gots to save Reptar! Looks like the first thing we have to do is get outta this playpen."

If only I had my stewdriver he thought. Then we can get out…that's it!

"We needs to look for my stewdriver," Tommy told his friends. "Once we finded it, we can get outta here."

So the four friends started looking for the toy. Chuckie looked behind the block tower…no screwdriver. Lil looked behind the curtain…no screwdriver. Phil looked inside Tommy's toy kangaroo and there it was!

"I finded your stewdriver, Tommy," Phil announced as he gave it to him. "Where are you gonna put it?"

"Hmm…well, I guess I can keep it in my diapie," Tommy said as he walked over towards the playpen's lock and started jimmying it with the screwdriver.

"Ew, that doesn't seem very clean," Chuckie remarked in concern.

While Tommy tried getting the playpen open, he could hear his father talking to himself as he read the newspaper, "Huh, aliens from outer space. Nobody believes that stuff anymore. Maybe I can invent something that will detect intelligent life on Earth."

"Stu, the trash is calling your name," Didi reminded him.

"You can't fool me, Deed. Trash doesn't talk."

"Trust me, ours is about to."

"Then maybe it'll start walking, too, and head to the backyard on its own," Stu chuckled at his own joke. Then he got up from the couch as Didi looked at him. "Okay, okay, I'm going."

"Oh, no!" Tommy cried. "My daddy's gonna throw away the trash in the kitchen that gots Reptar in it! Come on, you guys!"

The babies hurried to the kitchen as fast as they could, but Stu grabbed the trash can and took it out to the backyard.

Chuckie gasped. "We're too late, Tommy!"

Angelica walked up to them and said, "That's right, babies. Reptar is going to that big trash heap in the sky."

"They have that?" Phil questioned.

"Guys, there's only one thing to do…" Tommy said. All of the babies began to cry.

"WAAAAHHHH!"

Angelica looked back and forth at the babies and knowing she was going to be in trouble with her aunt and uncle, tiptoed away to the living room. The babies stopped crying once Didi and Betty, who carried empty grocery bags in her arms, rushed into the kitchen to see what was the matter.

"Hey, hey, hey, what's going on here?" Betty asked the kids. "You pups got a problem?"

"They seem fine," Didi replied.

"Well, Deed, the trash is all taken care of," Stu told his wife as he came in from the backyard.

Didi gasped, "You took out ALL the trash in the house?"

"Yeah. Well…uh…almost," Stu stammered. He was definitely caught off guard at that question. He thought Didi asked him to only take out the kitchen trash. "Actually, no."

Didi sighed as she said, "Well, stay there. I'll bring the trash cans down and you can take them out to the back."

"Well," Betty said to her best friend. "I better head on down to the grocery store while you kids take out the garbage."

"Okay, Betty," replied Didi. "Be sure to keep the back door closed so the kids don't get out."

Betty winked and did just that. Didi turned to Stu and told him that she'll be right back with the upstairs garbage.

"How will we save Reptar, Tommy?" Lil asked worryingly.

"Yeah," Phil agreed. "We can't get outside if the door is closed."

"Uh, well, we gots to do something to get outside to save Reptar," Tommy said to the twins.

The one year old looked all around the kitchen to find something…anything to get all of the babies outside to get their dinosaur back when he spotted Didi bringing trash cans into the kitchen waiting to be taken out by Stu. That gave Tommy an idea.

"That's it!" Tommy cried out. "We'll hide in the trash and my daddy will carry us out." The babies quickly made their way into the trash can as Tommy said, "Come on, hurry! While nobody's looking!" and they climbed in.

The babies heard Stu grunting as he picked up the trash can and went back outside.

"Boy, whoever invented trash just wasn't thinking," Stu muttered as he set the trash can down. Then, he thought of an idea. "Hey! That's it! I'll come up with an invention that will take the trash out automatically." He went back into the house and downstairs to his workshop in the basement.

The babies peeked out the trash can once Stu was out of sight, but then cried out in surprise once the trash can fell over. They found the trash can where Reptar was placed in, but couldn't reach him.

"We're too late to reach the top!" Chuckie cried. "How are we gonna get Reptar out?"

"I don't know," Tommy replied. "We gots to think."

"Well, we'd better do it quick, before that trash monster shows up!" Chuckie said, fearfully.

"Hubert?" Phil asked.

"Shh!" Chuckie shushed his friend. "Don't say his name. He might hear you."

But the babies heard the familiar sound of the neighborhood garbage truck!

"Too late!" Tommy shouted.

"It's Hubert!" The babies screamed and ran back into the house.

Didi was at the kitchen door when she heard them screaming. "Oh, there you are!" She scooped up her son and the rest of the kids followed her. "It's not safe for you kids to be out here with the gate open." Tommy was set back in the playpen along with his friends. "You'd better stay in your playpen. No more going outside for you. I'm going to lock that door right now."

With that, Didi locked the playpen and then she headed back to the kitchen to lock the back door again.
