"Griffore attack her face-down monster!" The opponent shouted.

Mystical elf appeared as Giffore attacked, the opponent screamed as his life points went to zero. "Dang it!" He slammed his fists on the platform. The pods lowered allowing the two to meet up. "Here's your star-chips!" He said loudly throwing them at her.

"Why are you being a sore loser!" Naririo got in the kids face.

"Back off!" He shouted pushing him.

Naririo growled and pushed the kid knocking him on the ground. "Next time you think about coming to a tournament, don't!" He stood above him.

The kid kicked him in the crotch and ran off. "That little!" He muttered as he held himself on the ground.

"Let him go." Yasuha said. "He's just being a pussy!" He shouted.

"Easy for you to say, you didn't get kicked in the balls."

"Hey…" Tsushima interrupted. "Look." She showed her dueling glove. "Ten stars." She smiled.

Naririo looked at his. "We all have ten stars."

"We can go into the castle." Yasuha said.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Tsushima chuckled. "Let's go!" She smiled, running off.

"Wait." Naririo said curled on the ground.

Yasuha chuckled and ran off after her. "Come on, Naririo!"

"Tsushima, wait!" Yasuha ran up the stairs after her. "Wait for us!" Naririo shouted.

The two slid to a stop when they got to the top as Tsushima stopped in the middle. "What's wrong?" Yasuha asked.

"Our boss wants to see you and isn't taking no for an answer!" A bulky man said.

"Can we make a reservation?" Naririo asked.

The bulky man chuckled. "Not this time." He pressed a button on his black wrist band causing the ground beneath the three to open up and swallow them. "What's happening!" Naririo shouted.

"We're falling!" Yasuha shouted.

"I know that, Captain obvious!" seconds later they landed knocking them unconscious.

Yasuha groaned as his head pounded in pain. Opening his eyes everything was distorted, hearing two people talk there blurred images appeared in his view. "What's going on?" He muttered.

"You're awake." One of them spoke through his distorted state.

"What's happening?"

The person smiled and placed his face in his. "Hello… Yasuha."

His senses became more aware, allowing him to gain consciousness. "Grandpa!" He jolted back but was stopped by a platform behind him. "What's going on?" He tried moving but found his hands chained to a dueling cab.

"You wanted me to find a way to get rid of your amulet, and I found it."

Hearing some movement Yasuha looked to his right to find Tsushima chained to another cab, and to his left he found Naririo chained to his cab. "What are you doing?"

"I'm setting them free too."

"Don't believe him, Yasuha." Tsushima said. She screamed as electricity went through her.

"Stop it, Grandpa! Stop it!" He moved violently, trying to get free.

His Grandpa chuckled as Tsushima fell forward with smoke rising from her body. "Mr. Hasashi!" A man ran inside. "We have a situation!"

"What is it?" He walked toward him, where the man whispered in his ear.

He whispered something back to him before the man departed out of the room. Yasuha glared at him as he walked toward them. "Who are you? I thought you were a…"

"Archeologist?" He interrupted. "Yes… that's what your parents had you believe. You're parents stole something from me. I told them I was going to kill you if they didn't work for me, and they like "loving parents" obliged."

"You're not family?"

Mr. Hasashi huffed in amusement. "No… never was, and never will be."

"What's going to happen to us?" Naririo asked.

"Well that depends on you, give me your amulets right now and I will let you go. Fight me, and we will do this the hard way."

"Don't do it." Tsushima said. She screamed as she was electrocuted.

"Stop it!" Yasuha roared. "Will do it!"

"So happy…"

"The hard way." He smirked.

Mr. Masashi sighed. "Yasuha, listen to me… you know me, help me and I will help you." He said softly walking forward.

Yasuha chuckled. "You said it yourself, we're not family."

Mr. Masashi chuckled before laughing. "You have balls, kid… hard way it is." The ground shook as a dueling arena erupted out of the ground, the three friends rose in the air and stopped, still chained to their cabs. Mr. Masashi followed in his own cab. "Duel!"

"Duel!" The three friends said in unison.

"I'll go first… then you, then me again, then Tsushima, then me, then Naririo, then me again."

"Did you have to say that whole thing?" Naririo asked.

Mr. Hasashi chuckled. "Your friend there got a mouth… My turn!"

"I activate pot of Greed and draw two cards."

"I then play Blue-eyes white dragon in attack position and set a card facedown."

"I draw!" Yasuha said. "I play Copycat in attack position and activate it's effect…" Copycat groaned as it gained blue-eyes's attack and defense. I then activate swords of revealing light, forcing you the ability to not attack for three of your turns, I then place a card facedown… Copycat attack Blue-eyes."

"Not so fast…" Mr. Hasashi chuckled. "I activate Sakuretsu armor."

Copycat jumped toward Blue-eyes but was destroyed by a mysterious armor that surrounded it.

"My turn!" He chuckled. "I draw! I place a card in face-down defense position and end my turn."

"My turn!" Tsushima said drawing a card. "I placed a card in face-down defense position and end my turn!"

"So fast, so fast!" Mr. Masashi chuckled. "I draw… I end my turn." He smiled.

"I draw!" Naririo said. "I place three cards facedown, and then activate Change of Heart."

Mr. Masashi's smile quickly faded. "What are you doing?!" He said sternly.

"You tell me! I choose your blue-eyes white dragon and then I play Crass clown in attack position! Blue-Eyes attack his facedown card."

Morphing Jar appeared as Blue-eyes's white lightning attack hit, destroying it. Morphing Jars mouth opened wide as all the cards in their hands were sucked in. "No!" Mr. Masashi growled.

The three friends gasped as they saw Exodia's head, left leg, right leg, and right arm appear as they were sucked into the graveyard, the four duelists then grabbed five cards from there deck.

"My turn!" He growled. "I draw! I play a card in face-down defense position, and then place a card face down and end my turn!" He growled, swords of revealing light glitched before pixelating away.

"My turn." Yasuha said. "I place three cards face down, and then place a card in face-down defense position and end my turn."

"My turn! I set a card in face-down defense position and end my turn!"

"My turn." Tsushima said. "I play red archery girl in attack position; I then place a card face down… Red archery girl attack his face-down defense position thing."

Yasuha shook his head and looked at her. "I forgot what to say?" She chuckled.

Needle worm appeared as it was shot with an arrow, jumping toward Tsushima, it attacked her deck with its horn before pixelating, taking five of her cards with it.

"My turn." Mr. Masashi said. "I place a card in face-down defense position, Blue-eyes attack Crass clown!"

Naririo screamed as Blue-eyes's lightning obliterated Crass clown and hit him.

"Naririo!" Yasuha shouted as he fell forward on his platform.

Mr. Masashi chuckled. "One down, two to go." He smiled at the remaining two.

"My turn!" Yasuha growled. "I-I set a card facedown and end my turn."

Mr. Masashi laughed before drawing. "I flip needle worm over." Needle worm jumped toward Yasuha's deck, stabbing it with its horn before leaving, taking five cards with it. "I then flip over Morphing Jar…" Morphing jar opened its mouth and sucked up all of the cards in their hands before they drew five more cards.

"Blue-eyes attack red-archery girl!"

Tsushima screamed as Blue-eyes's lightning obliterated Red-archery girl and hit her.
"No!" Yasuha shouted as she fell unconscious on the platform.

"You're next!" Mr. Masashi laughed, pointing at him.

"I draw!" He growled. "I place a card in face-down defense position and end my turn.

"Oh… I thought you were going to win." He laughed. "I draw."

"I activate pot of greed, which allows me to draw two cards. "I then place a card face down… Blue-eyes attack one of his face-down defense position!"

Ancient lamp flipped over with its lid off, Blue-eyes's lightning went into the lamp and appeared in front of morphing jar destroying it.

"I then activate Michizure, since my Ancient lamp was destroyed by battle, I can destroy one of your monsters, say goodbye to Blue-eyes!"

Mr. Masashi growled as his blue-eyes pixelated. "Your trick won't save you for long!"

"I draw!" Yasuha said. "I set a card in face-down defense position and end my turn by placing a card face-down.

"My turn… I set three cards face down and end my turn!"

"I draw!" Yasuha said. "I play Goblin attack force in attack position… I attack your worm!"

"Goodbye, Yasuha! I activate magic cylinder!" He laughed.

Yasuha screamed as the attack force attacked him, causing him to fall unconscious on the platform.

Mr. Masashi laughed and rubbed his hands together as the cabs lowered. "I will have your runes, now!" He laughed walking toward the three lowered cabs. "Four Gods taken, three remaining." He reached for The amulet of the Gods but was stopped by a burst of energy that knocked him into the wall. Groaning, he tried moving but couldn't. "Mr. Masashi!" Guards ran inside but were disintegrated by another blast. "Where is Lucius!" A voice boomed in the room.

Mr. Masashi looked around and gasped when he saw three personages walking toward him. One of the personages wore a black cloak that covered him except for a skeletal hand that held a staff. A "U" and a dot hovering in the middle sat on top, and a cross below that extended to the staff. The next personage wore a violet-colored dress with gemstones on the side, her bright red hair was in a bun where she wore her rune as a crown. The final personage wore a purple Toga Picta, he wore a crown with eagle wings on both sides and thunderbolts attached under the wings. "Servious, Murria, Tiberius." Mr. Masashi shuttered.

"Where is Lucius!" Servious said.

"I-I…"

"Reveal!" Servious held out his other skeletal hand in front of him. Mr. Masashi groaned as he felt his memories being dug through. He shuttered when he looked at Servious, who looked at him as he lowered his hand. Holding his hand out again the wall burst open as the scythe flew out, allowing him to catch it. Servious growled and looked at him.

The doors opened as guards ran in carrying assault rifles and fired at them. Tiberius held his hand out as the bullets froze in the air. "We got what we wanted anyways, let's go." The three personages disappeared in a bright white light that blinded everybody in the room. Seconds later the attacks continued. "Stop firing!" Mr. Masashi shouted.

"Stop firing… Stop firing!" The leader shouted. The firing stopped as they looked around. "Where did they go?" They asked.

"Help me up!" Mr. Masashi shouted.

"Yes sir, right away sir!" The guards tried moving him but stopped when he screamed in pain. "Be careful, you idiots! I can't move my legs!"

Yasuha groaned as he woke up. "Who do we have here?" A man asked.

Opening his eyes he found himself laying on his chest on a grassy field. Looking around he found Tsushima and Naririo lying unconscious. "Mr. Pegasus is waiting for you three."

Yasuha stood up. "What? Pegasus… is looking… for us?"

"Yes… Didn't you collect ten star-chips!" He grabbed Yasuha's gloved hand and lifted it in the air.

"Oh… yeah! Tsushima, Naririo… wake up!"

"What's going on?" Tsushima asked.

"What happened with Mr. Masashi?" Naririo asked looking around.

"You three better hurry, Mr. Pegasus isn't waiting much longer!"

"The tournament!" Tsushima gasped. "Thank you!" She shouted running toward the castle. Running up the stairs they made it into the castle. "Finally!"

They gasped when they heard footprints coming toward them. "Welcome Yasuha, Tsushima, and Naririo." Pegasus greeted them with a happy tone. "I'm sorry to say but you have been disqualified from the match."

"What!" The three said in unison.

"Mr. Masashi isn't able to make it, so you and your decks are going to have to leave."

"What… we made it all the way into the castle and your going to disqualify us!" Yasuha shouted. "We ain't leaving!"

"I guess there is no point in fighting with you; you can watch the duels from the balconies!"

"Mr. Pegasus…"

"Uh-uh!" He interrupted. "The kid has a point, they made it this far, so let them at least feast and watch the duels."

"All right!" The three friends cheered in unison. "Watching a in person duel with Pegasus!" Naririo said in excitement. "Let's go!" The three friends laughed running down the hall.

"Mr. Pegasus?" The man asked.

"It's not a problem as long as they behave." He chuckled.

Yasuha and the two friends were leaving the castle when they heard Pegasus screaming. "What!" Naririo said in shock. "Pegasus!" He shouted running down the hall. "Naririo!" Yasuha yelled running after him. "Where you two going?" Tsushima asked running after them.

"Why are you so worried about Pegasus? He just lost a duel to Yugi." Tsushima said.

"Yeah… he's probably just crying because he lost his first duel." Yasuha said.

The three ran up a spiral staircase before finding a door cracked open with moonlight peering out of it. The door creaked as they opened the door. "Pegasus?" Naririo asked softly, seeing him sitting up in his chair. "Pegasus?" He grabbed onto his shoulder and shook him a little, the three friends gasped and jumped back when his limp body fell forward, and his head slammed onto the table.

Naririo walked forward and froze when Pegasus was looking at him, one of his eyes was missing with blood splattered on his face and desk.

"Mr. Pegasus…" The guards called up the stairs. "What are you doing here?!" One of them yelled. "Mr. Pegasus!" They gasped when they saw his lifeless body leaning on the table, walking over they checked his pulse… "Let's go!" Another picked up Pegasus and ran out of the room, passing Tristen and Téa on there way down.

"Woah… what happened to Pegasus?" Tristen asked, as they walked into the room.

"We heard him scream..." Yasuha said.

"He's dead." Naririo interrupted before leaving the room.

"Naririo?" Téa called out in confusion.

"We should get going." Yasuha said softly before walking out of the room followed by Tsushima.

Back on the boat to Domino City, Yasuha and Tsushima stopped at a door. "Knock! Knock! Knock! Naririo?" Yasuha asked, opening the door.

"What do you want, Yasuha?" He asked softly sitting on his couch looking at a blank TV.

The two walked in and closed the door. "Is everything okay?" Tsushima asked, sitting next to Naririo.

"I'm fine." He quickly answered.

"You didn't come down to dinner." Yasuha said, sitting next to him.

"I wasn't hungry." He quickly answered again.

"I'm sorry about Pegasus…"

"I don't want to talk about it." He interrupted Tsushima, getting up and standing in front of a dresser.

"Talking helps…" Yasuha said, looking down in thought, he sighed. "When I got the Cleansing Rune four months ago, by the man I thought was my Grandpa. Tiberius tried killing Yugi, and in turn I tried killing myself."

Naririo, with his hands on the dresser clenched them into fists. "You're just going to laugh, everyone always laughed!" He turned to face them.

"Were not going to laugh…" Tsushima said. "You trusted us on the Island, why stop now?"

Naririo sighed and slid his fists off of the dresser, sliding the drawer opened he grabbed out a deck. Sitting down in between them he placed the deck on a table in front of them. The two were shocked when they saw Pegasus's deck in front of them. "Nine years ago… I was put in foster care. While the other kids played, I sat in front of the TV watching Funny Rabbit. They always played reruns of old cartoons at the orphanage." He huffed in amusement, looking at Tsushima she gave a slight smile. "The other kids would make fun of me, for watching Funny Rabbit. Then two years later, it happened." He picked up the deck.

"What happened?" Yasuha asked softly.

"A commercial by Industrial Illusions, the creator of Duel Monsters. At first the kids thought it was stupid, just like Funny Rabbit. I remember seeing the silver-haired billionaire for the first time, "Duel Monsters, so easy a kid could play it." I begged the caretaker to buy some cards, but she refused, I soon watched kids my age on the street playing and collecting the card game. I wanted to play the game so badly, but I couldn't. Then one day we got a package, it was from Industrial Illusions. They gave us cards, all type of cards. Everybody at that time wanted to play the game, we all grabbed the cards and made decks, we battled each other even though we didn't know the rules…" He huffed in amusement. "We played, and played every day, and night. Then suddenly everything went away, the kids started being adopted, and soon there was nobody to play cards with. Maximillion Pegasus saved my life, and now he is dead, my idol is gone, and the only thing remaining is his deck."

The three sat in silence for a few seconds after he finished. "We won't tell anyone if you won't." Yasuha said.

"Thanks, you guys."

Tsushima chuckled as the three joined in for a group hug.
