Declan then proceeded in announcing the names of the new protectors of the Dimension, the first group did a great job during the conflict but with more duelist avaiable it could become even better.
Yuya, Celina and their group of friends were sitting together waiting in silence, she even took the chance to lean her head on his shoulder, and he returned the gest by putting an arm around her back, relaxing in each other's warmth.
"Our first name for the new Lancers is a pretty popular one, you know him for his mysterious personality, his long coat and his great spirit of justice, his ability in using XYZ summoning has nearly no rival, his name is Shay Obsidian" Announced Declan the first name of the list.
And here he come, the Raidraptor duelist, Shay was a must have for the team during their adventure, his will to save his sister and help his people from the XYZ Dimension motivated the whole group.
Shay took his position at the microphone as Declan step aside, leaving him the spot.
"Until I'm here you have nothing to worry about, I'm always ready to fight for the good of the world" Shay simply said before stepping in his angle.
A large group of fangirls was swooning over him.
"Looks like your brother is pretty popular Lulu" Rin noticed that.
"He is, he has always been my hero, you are great big bro!" Lulu said, shouting the last part.
Declan proceeded in taking back his spot on the microphone.
"Our second duelist is a bit of an odd one at first look, but he sure knows how to wow a crowd, he was a student of the great Yusho after all, he know a variety of technices including XYZ, Fusion and Pendulum summoning, it's Dennis Mc. Field!" Declan said, shocking a big chunk of people, even Dennis himself.
"Me? A Lancer after what I did?" Dennis asked with a sad look.
Yuya put an hand on his shoulder, Celina was beside him.
"Come on Dennis, you are gifting smiles to the XYZ Dimension kids now, teaching them how to dueltain too, and that is enough of a proof that you changed" Yuya said with a smile.
"You'd better don't pull out any tricks anymore, or there will be consequences" Celina said with her fist raised, Dennis gulped in fear for a moment.
"Heard you loud and clear, and thanks for giving me another chance" Dennis smiled too in the end, and then made his way to the stage.
"Still a little angry at Dennis?" Yuya asked his girlfriend.
"I got that he changed, but It's hard to forget that he betrayed us, it could have ended way worse..." Celina answered hugging him.
"I'm sure he's sincere now, believe me Celina" Yuya said looking straight in her eyes.
After thinking about it for a moment she has decided.
"Fine, how can I say no to that smile?" She said with a smile of her own.
Dennis took his spot on the stage, before starting to speak.
"I must say sorry to all of you, I did things that I'm not proud of, I betrayed some true friends... but they forgave me. You have my word that I'll do anything I can to redeem myself, and what I can do best is to dueltain, so count on me for a very fun show!" Dennis said before leaving the stage.
And so it continued with Declan presenting the new members, the third was Yuto and the fourth Yugo, with Lulu and Rin clapping accordingly, then the next was Riley, which needed some rest after the Z-Arc confrontation but was now totally fine, and finally himself, as creator of the Lancers and leader, but we know there are two more deserved spots.
"And last but not least, we have a duo that coordinated the whole operation to save the dimensions, their actions were both crucial for the destiny of our world, first we have the creator of the Pendulum Summoning, who had successfully learnt every summoning method, and one of the best dueltainer in history, following the steps of his dad he aims to become a legend in the dueling history, and second a girl which had a really hard past, but that didn't throw her off her game, as master of fusion summoning, she shreds away every enemy on her path, adding even some pendulums for a nice variety of techniques, her will to never give up saved all dimensions from the ultimate disaster, they are Yuya Sakaki and Celina" Declan finally said reserving the best for the end.
They both stood up and took their spot on the microphone, Yuya went first after a nod from Celina.
"It's really a honor to be here and I swear I won't disappoint, I just wanted you all to know that I'm really happy of what we accomplished. Without Celina I wouldn't be here, Z-Arc would have taken over the world, but she stood strong and never gave up, I learnt from her that no matter how dark it gets, we can always find a way to make things better, and the best way to do that is to strart with a smile" Yuya said with said smile as she let Celina on her turn at the microphone.
"Thank you Yuya, and thanks to all of you for having me here. We managed to prevail and put an end on this war, and while it's true that I was able to land the final blow, it wouldn't have been able without Yuya, he was the first to show me some care and offered me his friendship, in that moment I stopped feeling alone, and I knew I was part of a team, and it was our destiny to cooperate to finally bring peace again, and if any other new menace will threat our world, we will be ready to face it head on!" Celina said with a confident smile and a little blush.
A round of applause was heard to celebrating our heroes, which then would attempt to get off the stage, before Celina stopped for a moment.
"Something wrong?" Yuya said a little worried.
"There's someone I have to talk to for a moment, it won't take long, wait for me" She said with all the cuteness she could master.
"Sure" Said Yuya mesmerized by her nearly angelic face.
Then Celina reached for Riley, and Yuya soon understood what was going on.
"Hi Riley" Celina called for the prodigy baby duelist.
"Hi, Celina, good to see you..." Riley answered in his usual shy way.
"I still have to thank you, without your help, it could have ended in a tragedy in the Synchro Dimension, Yuya managed to come to our rescue only because you were so brave and skillful, and even against Z-Arc, Rei's spirit was able to guide us through you, so you were there too supporting us. When I went on my own at the beginning, I was being reckless and impatient and you didn't deserve the treatment I gave you, I'm really sorry" Celina said making reference to when she said she had no time to play babysitter, in Crow's house.
"It was a long time ago, Celina, please don't think about it anymore, I know you were stressed at the time and you wanted to help Zuzu, what it counts it's just we are both Lancers and friend now, right?" Riley said in one of the rare occasions he manages to smile, Celina was relieved to see it, hoping it was the first of many more.
"Sure, we are friends, thank you Riley" Celina said with tears that threatens to fall from her eyes.
"I'll go to bed now, goodnight Celina" Riley said before searching for Declan.
"Have sweet dreams" Celina said before turning and coming back beside Yuya, the celebrations were now officially over, so all our friends would now get to their respective homes.
"Shall we go?" Celina asked grasping his arm in hers.
"Yeah, let's" Yuya answered while they started walking towards the exit.
"Zuzu, I'll go for a walk with Yuya, see you home later" Celina said before they went out, not noticing that Zuzu didn't hear her, because she was busy speaking with Sora, before going home herself.
Zuzu had the only pair of keys to their home because Celina still haven't reveived her own pair, where will this outcome lead to?
