Sky Sanctuary

In a sky city, Knuckles is standing in front of a kneeling robot that was in a critical state, even Knuckles himself is panting.

"K- Knuckles… Why aren't you… Finishing me off?" Mecha Sonic's voice starts to sound static as he's struggling to speak.

"Because I can't let her cry. We made a promise, Mecha. We'll bring her to Sonic, but I also want us to go with her and her friends. You wanted to preserve nature, didn't you?" Knuckles asks after giving out his reason.

"Tania… I'm such a fool for letting my priorities get the best of me." Mecha Sonic's guilt has caused him to stand up and shoves hand through his chest, causing Knuckles to run towards the robot until he removes Eggman's card out of his body. "I will follow my predecessor's footsteps and no longer will I be his puppet."

As the card is smashed, Mecha Sonic is free from killing Sonic, causing him to fall to his knees.

"I will start a new life. Knuckles, tell her that Mecha Sonic is okay and move on with his new adventures." Mecha Sonic bows as he vows a promise to Tania that he will be back someday.

Knuckles remains silent as he kneels and places his hand on Mecha Sonic's damaged shoulder.

"Okay. I will do so." After Knuckles accepts, a high pitched noise has Knuckles grunting, even Mecha Sonic is buzzing with green sparks out of his body.

"ERROR. The Master Emerald is in danger." Mecha Sonic speaks out like an actual robot, realising his source of life is being used as Eggman's power.

"Then we must pray for the super emeralds. We need Sonic to heed our calls." Knuckles said while going on his knees.

"Pray? As in a miracle? Hardly believable, but it's worth a try." Mecha Sonic accepts, knowing Sonic's life is in danger.

Finally, Knuckles and Mecha Sonic are praying under the dawn sky, calling for the chaos emeralds to save Sonic and his friends and bring the Master Emerald back.

Westside Island, Emerald Town

Praying out of the window, Nicole is hoping for her friends to come back and save them all from Eggman, even Isabella is praying alongside Nicole.

Outside, standing while praying are Miss Wing and Rosemary, knowing they're hoping for the kids to survive and come back home together.

Even Mighty, Ray and other children at school are praying at the beach for their friends to return and save their families.

Casino Night

Praying by the window, Breezie can tell this is serious as she hopes for Sonic to avenge Metal Sonic, making her drop a tear while staying calm.

"Please, defeat my boss."

Kingdom of Acorn

Praying in the halls, King Nigel, Queen Alicia, Sally, Bunnie, Johnny and Tekno are praying for the kids as a way for them to bring order back to what it once was.

In the bedroom, Elias and Megan are praying for their kingdom and their families to be saved, even Tania to live and reunite with her big brother.

Even outside, Joss is praying for those outside to save them all.

The ones praying outside are a robot hedgehog in a scarf and an anthropomorphic hedgehog woman as the two of them wish for their children to be safe and grow up in a better future.

"Paulie, I'm glad our kids are still okay." Aleena, who's recently called Bernadette, said calmly.

"Indeed, Bernie. I hope they move forward and keep running together." Paul Jules said while looking up and then held his wife's hand. "May the chaos answer our prayers."

"Yeah. Nicky… Tania… I hope you both are okay."

Back at Sky Sanctuary, Knuckles and Mecha Sonic look at the light that is coming from different islands, heading towards the Death Egg as if their prayers are calling.

"Mecha, it worked." Knuckles gasps with joy.

"Indeed. Sonic, heed my message: end this fight. Defeat my creator." Mecha Sonic sends his prayers to Sonic as a message to him.

The final battle is coming and the prayers are being heard.

Where Sonic's at is a similar world to how he was at Scrap Brain, meaning he's meant to show himself as Nicky again, except…

He's not.

The Nicky he sees is standing in front of him, the hedgehog in glasses and his bangs shown and wears a red sweater with a N on it.

"Nicky?" Sonic is surprised that it's the opposite of what he was before.

"Sonic. Welcome to your new life." A woman says calmly, showing her face in front of Sonic.

"Hold on a moment. Who are you?" Sonic is confused with the appearance of a human woman and Nicky as well as Henry Gordon, his father Paul and himself.

"The one who created you, considering you, is far from the original. How?"

"Because I can't be the perfect copy of him. Everybody knows I can't be the Sonic they loved, but I will be the Sonic everyone will know." Sonic finally shows his true motivation and then grins. "I want adventure and I wanna have some fun. If anyone hurts others, then I'll come over to kick their butts!"

"So that's what you chose to do. I guess I'm no longer needed." Nicky says with a calm smile and grin. "Nicky, you're free. Fight Eggman for us."

"Yeah. We'll cheer you on." Paul raises his fist as he laughs.

"Heh, it looks like it's just the beginning. Mary…" Henry turns towards Mary as he's glad to see her again.

"Henry…" Mary approaches Henry and holds his hands. "Thank you for taking care of our daughter."

As Henry and Mary vanish from Sonic's world, so is Nicky and Paul.

This leaves Sonic and his other self as they look at each other.

"Your friends are praying for you." The Sonic of this world said, making the real Sonic turn around, seeing those he met waving and cheering for Sonic.

Even Tails, Amy and Tania.

This has Sonic closing his eyes and putting his hand on his other self's hand, causing him to glow as the super emeralds are floating around him.

"Heh. Let's blast through with Sonic speed!" Sonic then dashes forward as his friends push him forwards, making him reach towards the Master Emerald that is floating in front of him.

In the end, the world fades as Sonic's blue fur is shedding into white as the aura becomes multicoloured, coming out are the angel wings as Sonic has awakened his full potential, leading to his eyes flashing green.

Hyper Sonic is born.

Death Egg

Before the Great Eggman Robo successfully crushes Sonic and his friends, a white light is flashing through the robot's fingers, making Eggman dumbfounded as he sees what's coming through the Death Egg's holes.

[What's going o-]

A white beam of light pierces Through the machine, even clicking it apart as explosions come out all over the Great Eggman Robo's body.

[N- NO! I thought I w-]

A white explosion has disintegrated the machine as it reveals the feathers from heaven, revealing the wingless angel, an enhanced version of Super Sonic.

Hyper Sonic.

Waking up, Tails, Amy and Tania are speechless as they witness the real angel from heaven, standing in front of them with white feathers everywhere.

"Wow…" Tails is surprised that he's seeing what he just saw.

"Woah…" Amy too is excited about what Sonic has in him.

"Ah… How pretty." Tania is admiring the beauty of what she just saw.

[I- Impossible! His chaos energy is through the roof! I need to get out of here!] With the Great Eggman Robo destroyed, revealing the robot with the Master Emerald in its hands, he's escaping while absorbing the power of the Master Emerald.

Hyper Sonic turns towards his friends and pulls up a thumb while smirking and vanishes as if he's nowhere to be searched for.

Outside under the dawn sunrise under yellow and blue sky, zooming through the seas out of the Death Egg, Hyper Sonic is seeing the Final Weapon's missiles charging towards Sonic himself, only for him to shatter into nothing but glass.

[Heh. Not so tough now are ya!?]

"Yeah. I'm not." Hyper Sonic appears as he rubs his nuzzle with his finger.

[WHAT THE-] The Final Weapon was booted to the face as it floats above the sea and fires more missiles, as they're everywhere.

This gives Sonic a chance to click as he creates a horde of afterimages of himself with the said afterimages shattered to pieces by a mass explosion.

Afterwards Eggman zooms away from Angel Island, leading Hyper Sonic to charge and spins as the spears are scraping it's body as it keeps on regenerating itself.

[That's it! I'm not fooling around this time! Take this!] The Final Weapon swings its fists as Sonic dodges and slaps its arm and then spin dashes through as the machine releases as many missiles as it can.

Sonic knows he can't destroy it, but will remove the Master Emerald out of the mech.

With the Master Emerald exposed as a way to charge its laser at Sonic, this gives Sonic a chance to dive at mach speed, only for the laser to fire as it's far more powerful than the Great Eggman Robo's beam, causing Sonic to grunt while struggling to charge towards the Master Emerald.

Sonic knows everyone is praying to him and he will do anything to stop Eggman's madness, leading him to look behind himself.

Eggman sent out his missiles to get him, making Sonic grin while he had a chance to get out of the laser as some were blown off, the others hit the Final Weapon, causing Eggman to struggle with his machine.

A second later after the laser is off, Hyper Sonic dive kicks the Master Emerald as he and the mech hits the land of Westside Island, scraping his body as Eggman screams.

[Sonic! What are you doing!? You're gonna destroy the Master Emerald!]

"Yeah! By getting it off of your ugly robot!" Sonic yells as he still scrapes through the trees and fields, only for the machine parts to be torn apart limb by limb until it's unable to regenerate its parts.

Afterwards, the robot is at a critical state, giving Sonic a chance to throw it in the sky and above the sea further away from any islands, leading Sonic to have the final blow.

"Game over, Eggman."

[I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!]

In the end, Sonic pierces through the Final Weapon's body as the green light is also removed from the mech, causing an explosion to become so huge that the white feathers are spreading everywhere.

Sonic has won the final battle.

Angel Island, Mystic Ruins

Standing at the Altar, Knuckles, Tails, Amy and Tania are watching the sky, only for them to see something splashing out of the sea, revealing Sonic with the Master Emerald.

"He… He did it!" Tails cheers as his friends are celebrating their victory against Eggman after months of suffering through Eggman's attack.

"Sonic! We won! We saved everybody!" Amy cheered.

As Hyper Sonic levitates down, his fur fades back to blue, leading him to raise his arms as the chaos emeralds are floating away from Sonic and his friends.

After that, the chaos emeralds are releasing a massive amount of chaos energy, bringing all the world back to life as the atmosphere is undone from Eggman's destruction, making them vanish back to where they belong.

After the environment, Sonic and his group are seeing the Master Emerald glowing as the island starts to float.

Finally, Tania and Amy hug Sonic with joy as Tails and Knuckles fist bumping with Sonic, making them all watch the sky as they see the daylight aurora as they're in awe.

"We saved the world. That's something we managed to do." Amy giggles.

"Yeah. Will mom and dad be okay?" Tania is wondering how her parents are.

"I'm sure they are." Sonic answers while rubbing Tania's head.

"So, Knuckles, are you going to stay here?" Tails asks while curious.

"Yeah. As the guardian of the Master Emerald, I'll take full responsibility for my duties. Sonic, Tails, Amy and Tania, thank you." Knuckles raises his fists as he owes them a lot of gratitude.

"No problem. At least we have someone to rely on." Tails said calmly while bumping Knuckles' fist.

"Yeah. Because we're friends." Amy does the same.

"More than that, we're family." Tania follows up with bumping Knuckles' fist.

Sonic is the last one to bump Knuckles' fist, smiling as he gives Knuckles a flick on a forehead, causing Knuckles to immediately punch Sonic as Tails, Amy and Tania exclaimed out of shock.

"Don't do that again!" Knuckles snapped.

"Heh. Sorry about that, Knucklehead." Sonic sticks out his tongue and stands up.

As the Tornado arrives, Sonic waves as he turns as well as his friends, meaning they're heading out and leaving Angel Island.

"So what's happening with the chaos emeralds?" Tania asked.

"Yeah, I was wondering where they go?" Amy is thinking the same as well as Sonic and Tails.

"Back to where they rightfully belong. The temples of chaos. They're around both the animal islands and the human continents. Looks like they're not needed anymore." Knuckles concludes.

"I see. Let's go and see your human friend." Amy suggested.

"Meg?" Sonic is surprised to hear what Amy said.

"Yeah. I'm sure you guys wanted to see each other again."

Sonic smiles as he wants to, meaning he can say goodbye to her one more time until the further future.

With Sonic climbing on the wing of the Tornado and Amy sitting at the back, Knuckles pats Tania's shoulder.

"Mecha says he's fine. He's on a new adventure, so he'll see you someday." Knuckles said as it had Tania surprised and then smiled as tears ran from her eyes.

"That's good. I hope M.Sonic is okay when he comes back." Tania accepts the fact that Mecha Sonic has moved on as he's still alive.

Knuckles nods as he waves after Tania climbs onto the back of the Tornado next to Amy.

With the Tornado flying away from the floating Angel Island, Knuckles is watching his new friends head back down to the surface and then sits down with the animals arriving and watching the group fly together.
