A collection of FAKE drabbles to go with my Torchwood drabble collection. They'll probably be mainly Dee/Ryo and I've rated the collection T to cover anything I might write. If you've read any of my Torchwood drabbles, you'll know I live for variety and anything goes, though my writing is primarily on the fluffy side.

1804. Temporarily Broke

Drake frowned at the contents of his wallet, reduced to a scant few dollars, realising there was no way he could pay for his own lunch, never mind JJ's, even though it was technically his turn. Drawing some money out at the nearest cash machine wasn't an option either, he had barely enough left thanks to some unexpected bills to keep from going into the red before next payday.

He could probably borrow a few bucks from Dee, or Ryo, but he didn't like being in debt to his friends, not knowing when he'd be able to pay them back. It was just an uncomfortable way to live. Maybe he could tell JJ he wasn't hungry today, although it wasn't likely that JJ would believe him; Drake was always hungry, so JJ would just think he was trying to get out of paying for lunch, which he sort of would be since he didn't have the money for it.

"Don't worry, Drakey," JJ said, before Drake could decide what to do. "I know money's a bit tight for you this month, so I'll pay for lunch."

"That would be great, I'll owe you."

"No you won't, I'm happy to pay."
