"Wait, go over that by me again!" I said To the Laurene Fishburne look alike sitting a few feet away from me. Hell, he even wore the Morpheus get up from the matrix movies and sat on the classic red capacity office chair.

"Like I told you technically dead but not at the same time." Laurene said calmly as he leaned back his chair.

Oh, let me introduce myself. My name i s Salem Shupiwe and just your average black African guy. I was in my second year of college studying computer sciences when I got sick with malaria plus four and let me tell y'all niggas out there it was terrible.

I was sent to the hospital and put on drip for six days straight, getting ass injections three times a day and I could feel myself getting better. My pops took a break from work and was there with me through the whole hospital stay.

But on my last day before I was discharged all I remember seeing was my mom, dad, and elder sister talking to a nurse then everything went blank and I was brought into this white room knock off sitting Laurene Fishburne.

"Wait, how did I die? My malaria was cured and I was about to get discharged from the hospital!" The whole situation just didn't make sense to me, and it was really hard for me to keep my cool.

"I'll do my best to simplify the situation." He then sipped some wine he got from god knows where. "The one who deals with the dead subordinates mistakenly to your soul thinking it was your time. But after it was confirmed, it wasn't your soul slipped into limbo so they couldn't put it back into your body. So, to solve the issue a copy of your soul was made and packed into your body to keep things from getting too complicated." Laurene explained which flabbergasted me.

"Wait, you mean to tell me that some copy is living my life." My voice was quiet as I reprocessed the information and leaned lower and lower on the chair. Laurene just looked at me with eyes full of pity.

Now my life was not overall dramatic, it was relatively normal but still it was mine and my family and friends, I basically won't see them again. After graduating high school full of abusive assholes and the work I put into getting a scholarship in college was all down the drain. I even found a girl who I could properly connect with and was going to ask out.

"Sorry, this had to happen." He gave his condolences, but I was still down in the dumps knowing it was basically all over. "But don't be so low as a great opportunity was presented to you." He continued.

I just looked at him with teary eyes.

"W-What do you mean?"

"You see because of the recent fuck up which commenced the higher ups have decided to give you another chance at life but in a different world." He explained.

"Isekai'd?" I couldn't help but ask in surprise.

"In particle terms, yes. But it's not by force as you can just easily refuse and go to the afterlife and once your soul doppelganger dies your souls will fuse to lessen complications." After his explanation I just sat there pondering everything which was said to me as I was still in emotional distress.

"I don't mean to rush you Salem, but your decision needs to be made fast as this void is very bad for souls from your world. If not, I would have given you a few weeks or months to get your thoughts in order." He then made two pills appear in his hand, one red and one blue. "Now my nigga the blue pill will let you go to this worlds afterlife while the red pill will let start new in another world."

"Really my guy." I lightly chuckled at the reference, lightening my mood and Laurene just smiled. "Before I choose, why do you look like Laurene Fishburne anyway?"

"This is all to help you cope with the situation at hand."

I just nodded at the reason and went to think but my mind was still a mess after the info dump. Now I could just go to the afterlife and wait for the other me to die but the life he lived won't be mine but he and I still want more living to do. Like I said my life wasn't all that plus my dad did encourage me to live a more adventurous life and make memories much to my protective mom's displeasure.

On the upside the world which I might go to hopefully won't be filled with too much societal pressures and won't be preparing myself to sit for like 40 years behind a desk.

So I hesitantly took the red pill and swallowed it and I pretty much expected a sort of after taste, but it was completely bland.

"Huh that's it?" I asked him to which he just smirked and leaned back. A table and spin wheel from a casino just appealed out of nowhere. "The hell."

"Simply just spin the wheel and whichever world the ball lands on will be the world you get sent to. Spin when you're ready." He stated as I just inspected the wheel.

I saw different labeled worlds and some I was familiar with e.g., Black clover, Naruto, God of war, Ben 10, Pokémon, Fairy tail, DC, Marvel, Black Bullet, Street fighter, PJO, Guilty gear, highschool dxd and magi. The others I've known of but never went into e.g., Harry potter, Taboo Tattoo, Strike the blood, Bayonetta, Vampire diaries and League of Legends.

I then spun the wheel and just watched as the grey ball bounced from one sector of the wheel to another. My anticipation grew and it slowed down and finally stopped and it landed on fucking fairy tail that was something I didn't expect as from what I've seen Naruto and Dxd are the biggest isekai zones in most novels. But I was really close to landing on PJO. I wonder if it did who's demi god kid I would be?

"Hm fairy tail huh I was expecting Dxd or Naruto like the others, but it is still pretty big in the community of reincarnation." Laurene commented on the results.

'Fairy tail huh it's been a while since I've watched that show.' It was a pretty good anime which didn't deserve that hate it got sometimes and as cheesy and full of bullshit it was a fun series to watch.

"Alright now spin the wheel to choose your magic ability." He said, sort of surprising me.

"Wait don't I get to choose my abilities or something?"

"No! All you guys want is overpowered nonsense like time dragon slayer magic, hax abilities from the fate universe, dxd, dc, dbz and some even more ridiculous abilities from other verses. It's gone too far so yay we're sick of it!" He ranted and to be honest I was a little disappointed as I just wanted some god or devil slayer magic straight up.

"Damn man fine but can I learn other magic types?"

"Yes, you can actually but the one chosen here will be the primary magic used." I was a little relieved with that and just looked at my options.

Water dragon slayer, Sound God slayer, Blood demon slayer magic, Gravity magic, Animal and Beast take over magic, Rune magic, and Light magic. Got to say there were some pretty good options here. I then spun the wheel and it landed on Animal and Beast take-over magic.

"Why do animal and beast magic come in a set?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Well, it was supposed to be just animal take-over magic but the beast variety change came as a package deal." He explained and I just accepted and I was a pretty good deal. "Alright, off you go then."

And with that my world went white.
