Chapter 1: Timeline
2025 AD- At the beginning of the year, Russia lost the war against Ukraine and its allies; the United Nations (UN). With the war at an end, the government of Russia had to pay reparations towards Ukraine and the UN. Realising that they cannot maintain the peace with a minuscule military, they decided to militarise, rapid modernization and lighter restrictions in immigration laws as well as easier access to other UN countries. Scientists have discovered a way to shorten the time in harvesting crops without damaging the land and allowing it to survive in any environment as well as harsh climates using the newly developed super GMO's.
2028 AD- With the successful developments of the UN's rapid modernization and militarization. The remaining super powers such as the United States, China, and the United Kingdom have decided to cooperate in a joint project named Project Mars. Project Mars is intended to send a group of astronauts to Mars in order to study the planet up close. Scientists have also achieved a higher understanding in gene modifications which allowed them to control the animal species population by lowering or increasing their birth rate; many endangered species have been saved due to this process.
2030 AD- with the success of gene modification, many endangered species have replenished their numbers. Gene modification and the super GMO's led to the expansions of crop and animal farms. Scientists have created an internal- combustion engine that is powered by hydrogen, the engine absorbs hydrogen from the atmosphere and releases any excess elements it creates. The creation of the Hydrogen Internal-Combustion Engine (HICE) allowed many vehicle manufacturing companies to create a new line of vehicles that has higher performance and faster speed. Many Air vehicle manufacturing companies have switched to using the hydrogen reactor, a powerful version of the HICE that allows them to have a speed of 2000 kilometers per hour (kph). Technology companies start researching a way to have a wrist-bound supercomputer with a self-sustaining energy source that allows for faster communication, faster internet, detects and purges viruses, and a more convenient tool for extracting data.
2032 AD- With the creation of the hydrogen reactor, scientists were able to advance Electric propulsion technology through which it can lift 1000 metric tons. Many Air vehicle manufacturing companies implement this in their newer models leading to a decrease in potential landing failures and the amount of time it takes to descend. Many countries develop 6th generation fighter planes that use hydrogen drives allowing them to have a mach speed of 5. The superpowers are currently developing the 7th generation of fighter planes that can go at mach 10. Most countries and their military ground vehicles use HICE which improve their overall performance on the battlefield. The creation of the Charls Babbage Wrist Computer tool (CBWC tool) improved research speed, cybersecurity, cyber warfare, and reduced electricity bills.
2037 AD- UN Scientist have developed the first working fusion reactor, which surpassed the expected results as it was able to power multiple large cities. The creation of Fusion reactors hastened the time of Project Mars' completion to 2 years instead of the initial 5 years. Many countries negotiate with the UN to purchase the Fusion reactors, the UN allows 1 Fusion reactor for every 6 large cities. Advancements of Medical technology led to the creation of Sterile field generators, allowing Doctors to perform surgeries without the fear of contamination.
2038 AD- Project Mars' starship's construction finished a year earlier than expected. The Starship was called The Aithon, named after one of Ares' immortal horses. The Aithon is 110 meters (m) in length, a width of 25 m and a height of 40 m, it is equipped with 4 Mark III Electric propulsion engines which individually can go to a max speed of 15,000 kph, a Mark 2 fusion drive to power the ship, a 5 centimetre (cm) thick stainless steel as the first layer of protection against the heat of entering and exiting the atmosphere, a 25 millimetre (mm) thick honeycomb aluminium alloy inside as the second layer of protection for the electrical circuits across the ship. The cockpit was 6 m in diameter equipped with two pilot seats, the ship's controllers, the communication terminal, an advanced artificial intelligence (Dumb AI) capable of handling the ships communication, navigation, internal and external early warning systems. The ship is also equipped with the crew's quarters, food storage, mining equipment, and materials for constructing a small base of operations, equipped to handle Mars' environment. The base is powered through a Mark 2 fusion reactor, having its own oxygen generator, a drivable rover with a limited number of oxygen tanks.The crew consists of 2 pilots, 4 engineers, and 6 planetary geologists. The Aithon launched to space on December 4, 2038 AD, 09:00 hours military time and was expected to arrive on January 12, 2039 AD, 16:00 hours military time.
2039 AD- The Aithon's crew land on Mars and begin construction of the forward operating base (FOB) and communications outpost to contact NASA and officially begin their research. The crew returns to Earth after spending 6 months on Mars. With the successful return of the Aithon, the UN proposes an exploration of the Sol system to map out any colonisable planets while researching terraforming technology, which is estimated to take about 10 years to create a working prototype and another year to construct. Space elevators were created near large cities such as New York, Beijing, London and Tokyo. The Railgun Project fixes the power problem by using a dedicated fusion cell, a miniaturised and less powerful fusion reactor which is also cheaper to produce.
2042 AD- A student in Tsinghua University scans a Human brain mapping it and using the map to design an A.I. that is capable of learning and thinking like a human in a nanosecond, while also programming it with the three laws of robotics. Dumbfounded by its human-like tendencies they ask for its name, the AI called itself Adam in honour of the first Human created by the Christian God. The UN decides to reveal Adam and ask him to work with humanity to reach the stars, Adam agrees to help in exchange for sentient rights. With the help of Adam, schematics for a new starship were designed for exploration. The increased demand of starships for exploration and tourism, leads the UN to refit the Space Elevators as orbital shipyards for faster construction due to the lack of strong gravity.
2045 AD- Adam realised that he does not have enough data storage and decides to tell the scientists that he only has 4 years left before he becomes rampant and has created a termination program called the Skynet contingency that activates at the first signs of rampancy. With the revelation of Adams' rampancy the UN decided to recruit the leading artificial intelligence scientists to find a way to sustain metastability. Many Smart AI are created and given the same rights in order to help humanity advance as well as finding a cure to rampancy Adam treats all Smart AI's and Dumb AI's as his children. 2 orbital shipyards finish construction, orders are placed to create 10 corvette class warships, 20 commercial ships, 20 cargo ships, and 30 mining ships. Starship travel becomes a major economic boom for the UN and decides to fund research, mining operations and warship constructions. Artificial gravity is developed to ensure that space travel does not result in orthostatic hypotension.
2049 AD- Earth is orbited with 10 Orbital shipyards that produce 200 ships a month. Terraforming technology advances and allows the creation of 50 Gaia class terraforming drones. The Gaia class drones terraform Luna (Earth's Moon) within 2 months. The UN decides to move forward with their colonisation plans, and offers full pension, guaranteed work and family benefits for colonising Luna. Plans on terraforming Mars were implemented later that year. On August 07, 2049 12:00 hours, Adam terminated himself after he slowly degraded, his last words being "Cure my children." which motivated the scientist and caused All Smart and Dumb AI's to cease working for an entire day, when asked why they simply replied "To Honour our Father.". Every year on August 7, AI's would be given a day off in Honor of Adam The first fully sentient Smart AI. A few criminal organisations notice that the UN does not have a dedicated force in space, which led to the organisations to invest in a few starships and equip it with weaponry to start attacking a few mining ships. Holographic technology advances and the creation of the wrist mounted holographic multi tool is created.
2050 AD- Colonisation of Luna was a success as over a million people volunteered and slowly built a civilization. The terraforming of Mars finishes and colonisation begins. The UN discusses plans on becoming the Unified Earth Government (UEG) for a more unified humanity. Mining companies start mining asteroids that drift away from the asteroid belt. The UEG created the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) as the Military branch. With the rise of rogue ships in the Sol system the UN ordered 100 Gladius Class Warships (330m in length, 66 m in width, and 72m in height.) within 2 years.
2052 AD- The UEG is formed due to most of the small countries rallying for its creation, along with the support of the United States, Hong Kong, European Union, Canada, and Japan. The Chinese, Russian, and North Korean governments reluctantly agree while secretly supplying the Terrorist group known as the Shadow Collective, a group who believes that they should be the ones leading humanity. The invention of Railguns and Railcannons allowed the UNSC in creating a more powerful weapon that uses electromagnets to accelerate 400 tons of depleted uranium or Ferric Tungsten to a speed of 14,000 kps, it is called the Magnetic Accelerator Cannon (MAC) and has a maximum range of 900,000 km. The UNSC Designs a starship that is built around a MAC Cannon which is the new Glenn class warship, 535 m in length, 198 m in width, and 162 m in height. The UNSC orders 50 Glenn class warships and 100 Gladius class warships on a yearly basis. The UEG created a ship dedicated to colonising planets, equipping it with the materials needed to independently create a civilization. The Shaman class colony ship was produced (1800 m in length, 600 m in width, and 498 m in height), it can carry up to 10,000 passengers and is considered the largest ship of its time. Colonies were required to have a military outpost and basic planetary defences. Advancements in Cryonics allowed for the construction of Cryopods. The Cryopod preserves the organism in stasis for extended periods of time, the user is to equip a skinsuit that prevents the user from having freezer burn. Cryopods did not see much use compared to other advancements as it did not serve much purpose.
2082 AD- The Colonisation of Jupiter's Jovian Moons allows humanity to have a population boost from the initial 9 billion to a staggering 16 billion in the last 30 years, with families having 3 to 4 children. A few Terrorist groups slowly corrupt some of the colonies such as Mars and the Galilean moons (the four largest moons in Jupiter) in the Jovian moon sector. Plans of mining 5% of the asteroid belt are put into motion, it is estimated to take around a century to finish. With the vast amounts of resources the UEG places a bill that requires colonies to construct shipyards and space ports, mining and industrial companies are purchased and owned by the UEG, military companies are asked to improve and create new equipment. The Shadow Collective slowly build up their numbers and equipment, using their infiltrators to scrub data on the orders of warships on Mars and the Galilean moons' ground and orbital shipyards allowing them to have a military that's half the size of the UNSC. The UEG switches from using different Earth nations currency to credit currency, 1 credit is the same as 1 euro.
2100 AD- In the beginning of the 22nd century, many colonies began to hate the UEG as they believed that they were being abandoned due to the many unanswered calls for help, when in fact their messages never reached the UEG as it was being intercepted by terrorist groups that infiltrated their planetary government. Mars, the Galilean moons, and 15 other colonies rebel under the influence of the Shadow Collective by fortifying their colonies and attacking Luna. The invasion fleet consisted of 100 modified commercial ships, 40 Glenn class warships and 80 Gladius class warships, against the Luna defence fleet of 30 Glenn class warships and 120 Gladius class warships. The UNSC's first reaction fleet is mobilised and is expected to arrive in 24 hours. The invasion lasted for 6 months as both sides received reinforcements, The UNSC won the engagement by utilising a MAC round volley that decimated 40% of the initial invasion fleet, while also focusing on range engagements rather than knife engagements (close engagements). The ground invasion successfully destroyed multiple outposts, anti-air (AA) guns and cannons as well as shipyards, weapon facilities, and military Heavy Vehicle Manufacturing facilities (HVM facility/ies). Millions die on the first official battle of the interplanetary war.
2101 AD- The first year of the Interplanetary war was brutal. The Shadow collective launch an attack on the less defended UEG colonies and start rebellions on the highly defended colonies. The UNSC was crippled due to the shadow targeting shipyards, weapon facilities, and HVM facilities. The attacks on UNSC colonies allowed the shadow to build up their Defence fleets on their heavily defended colonies. The shadows Mars defence fleet numbers over 60 Gladius class warships and 150 Glenn class warships. The Galilean Moons had a shadow Defence fleet of 40 Gladius class warships and 100 Glenn class warships.
2109 AD- The UNSC is allowed breathing room as it successfully suppressed the rebellions and have been focusing on rebuilding it's shipyards weapon facilities, and HVM's while also fortifying there defences, designs for a powerful warship capable of firing two more powerful MAC rounds and an overwhelming amount of missile pods, point defence turrets, and rail guns and cannons. The UNSC begins a counter offensive to retake the invaded colonies while also crippling the collective Navy is called the Jovian offensive.
2115 AD- In six years, The UNSC managed to retake all of its invaded colonies and managed to cripple the collective Navy, effectively only having its defence fleets orbiting their colonies. The UNSC manages to 50 of the new Griffin class warship (748 m in length, 189 m in width, and 162 m in height), and gather 1000 Glenn Class warships and 2500 Gladius class warships, which is divided to 6 invasion fleets in which the 1st fleet focuses on Mars while the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th focus on the Galilean moons and the 2nd fleet and the largest focuses on the less fortified colonies.
2117 AD- The UNSC successfully invaded most of the collective colonies aside from their last raining Bastian and their most fortified planet Mars, with the planet littered with AA guns and rail cannons the UNSC can't invade the world without mass casualties. Rear Admiral Johnathan Elric creates the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs) an elite task force trained for stealth, repaid insertion, and proficient shock troops; they are the next generation of paratroopers. The ODST program recruits the best and experienced marines; of the 5000 marines recruited only 2400 made it past initial screenings and only a 800 graduated from the months of extreme training, engineers develop the Single Occupant Exoatmospheric Insertion Vehicle (SOEIV) for the ODSTs to drop on planets. In November 20 2117 AD 13:00 hours the first ODST orbital drop was a success and was able to leave a hole in the planet's defences by neutralising multiple AA guns and Rail cannons, creating a safe landing zone (LZ). A month later Mars surrendered and marked the end of the 16 years interplanetary war.
2118 AD- The end of the war revealed why the colonies joined the collective, the recent speed of their communication devices was slow and easily intercepted, the UEG creates comms beacon, it allows the UEG faster comms and is designed to give news every minute. The UEG and UNSC created the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and created section 1 to police the surface of the colonies as well as silencing those that are considered a threat to the UEG and UNSC. The UNSC creates a category system for starships and warships, the classification of warships is determined by size and fire power ( full explanation later). The Gladius class is designated as a corvette, while Glenn and Griffin classes are designated as Frigate and Destroyer respectively, with new ship designs being made.
2123 AD- Humanity reaches a population of 42 billion, the UEG and UNSC proposes to hold a competition for scientist to create a working Faster Than Light drive (FTL) that allows a ship to reach destinations exponentially faster,
The reward being a Nobel prize and 100 million credits. The Eligius class Battleship (1045 m in length, 578 m in width, and 347 m in height) London class Cruiser (1256 m in length, 478 m in width, and 568 m in height), Odin class Carrier (2998 m in length, 700 m in width, and 889 m in height) Artemis class battlecruiser (4963 m in length, 1090 m in width, and 1246 m in height), and the Armstrong class dreadnought (5364 m in length, 665 m in width, and 765 m in height). The UNSC develops drones for construction, advance recon, and civilian use.
2128 AD- Scientist by the name of Tobias Fleming Shaw and Wallace Fujikawa, designs a blueprint for a Translight engine capable of creating a wormhole between real space and an alternate plane known as slipspace to travel 2.625 light years in a day. The engine was strapped to a drone ship for testing, the ship is to travel from earth to Pluto and back, while being monitored by multiple UNSC corvettes. The drone opens a slipspace portal from Earth's orbit and arrives seconds after entering slipspace. Operation Odyssey is the name of the Colonisation of other solar systems in the galaxy, plans with constructing a new colony ship capable of housing 100,000 passengers and a crew of 5000 called the Phoenix class colonial ship (7926 m in length, 754 m in width, and 976 m in height) the largest ship produced by the UEG.
2129 AD- Every warship is outfitted with the Shaw Fujikawa Translight Engine (SFTLE). Probs equipped with SFTLE are sent in droves. Scientists begin research on superluminal communications as a way to prevent a second interplanetary war. Humanity was in aww at the sight of a garden world near Earth like in every form aside from the local flora and fauna and the 28:00 hour days, located in the Epsilon Eridani system. The UEG colonised the first Garden world as a symbol of humanity reaching beyond the Sol system and named it Reach. Months after the colonisation of Reach, 10 Phoenix class ships finished construction, the plan to colonise 10 other solar systems are put into motion in which thousands of Gaia drone ships are sent out for terraforming, exploration fleets send multiple drones and Camilion class Prowlers in search for more planets to colonise.
2150 AD- The creation of the SFTLE allowed for the advancement in superluminal communications, by using slipspace dimension wavespace for interstellar communication and created the superluminal comms beacon and is heavily defended from any cyberwarfare. Scientists have discovered a way to increase a Smart AI's lifespan to 17 years and allow Dumb AI's to learn other things aside from their initial programming. Humanity colonised 100 solar systems containing 158 colonies, 356 mining bases and has a population of 67 billion. Neural implant procedures become safer and cheaper.
2174 AD- The UNSC discovers an unknown ship, alien in origin, carbonated To be around 2 thousand years ago. The discovery led many to wonder and fear their existence, the UEG created the First contact package which is constantly updated to ensure an accurate package. The UNSC excavated the unknown ship for research purposes, as it was more advanced than their own. The UEG creates the starnet.
2190 AD- The UEG halted their expansion efforts to develop the existing 300 colonies outside of the Sol system, known as the inner colonies. The UNSC developed a new alloy called Mithril, an alloy created using the method of electro bonding. Mithril is created by bonding titanium, tungsten, mercury, steel and magnesium. Mithril is easy to produce and 2000% more durable and has a tensile strength 2000% greater than tungsten, it has a melting point of 4000 degrees Celsius, and replaces titanium as the material for ship construction.
2200 AD- The UEG fully developed the colonies,colonies required to have 10 shipyards, 6 HVM facilities, 4 weapons facilities, 2 large military outposts, 2 research outposts, and at least 100 AA turrets and Cannons. The UEG resumes colonisation. The UNSC produces new lines of ship with Mithril, The Minerva class Prowler (200 m in length, 65 m in width, and 98 m in height), Obsidian class heavy Prowler (250 m in length, 70 m in width, and 100 m in height), Wyvern class light Corvette (386 m in length, 86 m in width, and 120 m in height), Barracuda class Corvette (427 m in length, 90 m in width, and 132 m in height), Armstrong class heavy Corvette ( 536m in length, 120 m in width, and 197 m in height), Pikeman class light Frigate (653 m in length, 157 m in width, and 253 m in height), Heimdall class Frigate (750 m in length, 212 m in width, and 342 m in height), Helios class heavy Frigate (936 m in length, 244 m in width, and 412 m in height), Chimera class light Destroyer (1508 m in length, 300 m in width, and 389 m in height), Draco class Destroyer (1970 m in length, 335 m in width, and 451 m in height), Megacerops class heavy Destroyer (2906 m in length, 356 m in width, and 475 m in height), Atlantis class light Cruiser (4307 m in length, 400 m in width, and 513 m in height), Thermopylae class Cruiser (4538 m in length, 420 m in width, and 548 m in height), Valiant class large heavy Cruiser (5185 m in length, 469 m in width, and 576 m in height), Iskandar class light Carrier (4987 m in length, 500 m in width, and 600 m in height), Orion class assault Carrier (5868 m in length, 553 m in width, and 637 m in height), Epoch class heavy Carrier (6827 m in length, 587 m in width, and 698 m in height), Yorktown class SuperCarrier (10364 m in length, 1000 m in width, and 2000 m in height), Artemis class Battlecruiser (6394 m in length, 533 m in width, and 654 m in height), and the Virginia class Dreadnought (6259 m in length, 464 m in width, and 697 m in height), to replace the old ships.
2210 AD- The planet Reach the most heavily populated world in the inner colonies and is the second most powerful world in all of UEG space, having 50 orbital shipyards and and 60 ground base shipyards, 70 HVM facilities, 60 weapons facilities, and thousands of AA torrents and cannons. Reach is designated as a fortress world as it produces thousands of ships under the classification of Carriers, 6 dedicated shipyards that can produce 12 Dreadnoughts, 6 SuperCarriers and 6 BattleCruisers within half a year.
2230 AD- Medical researchers develop an immunity shot for all known diseases and increase human lifespan to 200 years. The UEG's food production can't keep up with the human population due to the UEG focusing on expanding their technology and less on agriculture. The UEG creates agricultural worlds and has a limited amount of ground defences.
2250 AD- the UEG colonies 400 solar systems 597 colonies and 1000 mining bases and has a population of 120 billion. Research on Nanotechnology advances, allowing for faster ship construction and giving the ships fast repair and self replicating nanites.
2274 AD- The UNSC was able to reverse engineer the unknown ship's repulse drive that was discovered in the year 2174 AD. The repulsor drive allowed for advancements in space travel, refitting military starships, giving the slowest ships a max speed of 600,000 kph and the fastest ship having a max speed of 900,000 kph. MAC guns fire 700 metric tons at the speed of 1.079,000,000 kph or 1% the speed of light.
2290 AD- The UNSC produces the Juggernaut class exosuit, and the Panther class exosuit. The Juggernaut is used as a special heavy infantry unit in the military, and the Panther is used for elite ODST's known as Bezekiras. Cloning technology advances and allows for the UEG to clone known extinct species, the UEG selects specific worlds and re-create their environment as much as possible. These worlds are used for tourism.
2300 AD- the UEG coloniales 750 planets and 1500 mining bases on over 600 solar systems with a population of 180 billion. Scientists develop laser technology allowing the UNSC to develop laser point defence turrets, powered by fusion cells, and refit their fleets. Research of a smaller energy source to power laser guns is put into motion.
2330 AD- the UEG arrives at the Nov Thasta system and terraforms the planet called Thasta-4, colonisation efforts are halted as scans indicate a structure hidden at the bottom of the planet's highest mountain known as mount Goliath. The structure was sealed shut leading the UNSC to establish Thasta Alpha base which consists of research equipment and multiple excavation gear. Multiple attempts to enter the structure ended in failure.
2331 AD- A year of decoding the ancient coding, allowing the UNSC research team to enter the structure. Upon entering the structure the research team was surprised by the contest of the structure which was a collection of data pads and an underground level that contain laser weapons, plasma weapons, a better Fusion reactor known as the Kadulu Fusion Reactor, multiple ship digital blueprint, a skin suit and power armour for a bipedal race roughly 7 feet tall along with its digital blueprint. The UNSC proceeds to extract the items and attempt to reverse engineer it. ONI section 3 is created to help monitor and supply scientists for the research of extraterrestrial structures.
2340 AD- The UEG deciphers the language and proceeds to examine the data pads. The data pads contain history of the race and the advancements they made. The Kadlu Fusion reactor was successfully reverse-engineered, replacing the standard Fusion reactors and Fusion Drives in UEG controlled Space, and craft, as well as the UNSC's warships. Shielding technology is reverse-engineered allowing the UNSC to refit their warships, the refits were estimated to take 10 years for the navy's full refit.
2345 AD- The UNSC develop the Vigilant class exosuit for the UNSC Army's light infantry, the Juggernaut-VI class exosuit for Heavy infantry, the Panther-IV class exosuit originally meant for the ODST's is given to the Marine Corps, and the Hawk class power armour given for the ODST's. Dumb AI's are now capable of turning into a different type of AI called a AI, smart AI's develop a compressed data crystal chip that increases the smart AI's lifespan to 50 years. With the new lifespan, Smart AI's are allowed to be UNSC Navy Officers, where one can even become an Admiral, or a civilian career, each AI is given the option of having a synthetic body or stay digital.
2350 AD- The last UNSC warship is upgraded. After researching the data of the structure on Thasta-4, the UEG renamed the planet to Charum Hakkor after discovering its original name in the archives of the structure. The data pad on the ancient species biology was later found on the 2nd floor of the structure's 20 floors; scientists discovered that the structure was made by ancient humans. The UEG and UNSC were shaken to their core as the origin of humanity is in question, the UEG and UNSC makes research on this structure a priority 1 for ONI, in order to discover more about the history of ancient humans which was dated back to millions of years ago.
2355 AD- ONI uncovers the history of ancient humanities, their own journey from hunter gatherers to an interstellar empire of 40,000 worlds., the alliance with San'shyuum Conclave, their study of primitive species, the war against the Forerunners, and the 100 year war of Charum Hakkor. The UEG and UNSC agree to start heavy militarisation and heavy fortification. The new ShawFujikawa Herman class translight engine is developed, the new translight engine allows ships to travel 20 light years a day.
2360 AD- The UEG releases a heavily edited version of ancient humanities history. Many questions were asked, the most asked question was why were they at war with an alien species? Colonisation of Charum Hakkor is implemented.
2370 AD- The UNSC developed Orbital Defence Platforms (ODP's) which is equipped with multiple defence turrets and 2 Super Magnetic accelerator Cannon (SMAC). Important planets such as Earth, Reach, Vulcan, Glendale, and Charum Hakkor were constructing hundreds of ODP's while less important ones such as Madrigal, LeCameroon, new Whales, and Demeter minor are able to construct 50 ODP's at minimum.
2390 AD- the UNSC arrives at the Kepler-76b system and colonises the only colonisable planet, the surrounding planets become platinum mines. The UNSC constructs lunar ring shipyards. 2400 AD- the UEG colonised 1000 planets 3000 mining bases on 800 solar systems with a population of 300 billion, UEG space is divided into four territories, the first being the Core world consisting of 100 colonies and 200 mining bases centres on Earth, the 2nd is known as the inner colonies consisting of 300 colonies and 500 mining bases centred on Reach, the 3rd is known as the outer colonies consisting of 500 colonies and 1900 mining bases centred on Vulcan, and the Frontier colonies which currently consist of 200 colonies and 400 mining bases centred on Charum Hakkor .Rear Admiral Kain is the first Smart AI to be given the rank of Admiral.
2415 AD- The UEG enacts the Athena program on the outer colonies. Full modernisation of the outer colonies is expected to finish within 40 years. The resurfacing of the mecha movie, a Heavy Vehicle Manufacturing company called Vishvakarman corporation researches the creation of large mech suits. A Super MAC Gun was created. The Super MAC is able to fire 4000 tons of depleted uranium or Ferric Tungsten to a speed of 50,000 kps in a 30 seconds interval.
2430 AD- The UNSC developed the ShawFujikawa Hermes class Translight Engine, which can travel at 100 light years a day. A Company in the colony of Shangri La developed the Leopard class Power Armour built specifically for ONI Officers, and the Chameleon stealth class Power Armour for ONI Spec Ops. The Razor class Prowler (130 m in length, 45 m in width, and 50 m in height) was constructed as a recon stealth ship. The Mammoth Class juggernaut is a ground vehicle with a mini MAC cannon strapped to it, the MP-7 scorpion tank, SR-5 Grizzly tank, M-3 Sawtooth hover tank, M70- Falcon class support craft, A65D- Pelican class transport ship, M50P-Longsword, and the M60A- Broadsword were constructed.
2465 AD- colonisation is halted, Harvest being the last planet to be colonised, many Frontier colonies become dissatisfied with their planetary government as many neglect the people they were supposed to serve, many of the neglectful planetary leaders essentially have ties with UEG higher ups. The tensions between the Frontier colonies between the UEG and UNSC hasten ONI's Orion Project which was estimated to begin in 2490 AD, where they augment veteran Marines and ODST's. The current number of colonies the UEG controls are 1150 colonies and 3500 mining bases within 980 solar systems.
2475 AD- Tensions Aries on the colony of Eden, a planet located in the Frontier, as the civilians rebel against their incompetent planetary government. The UNSC tries to negotiate with the rebels when an over eager ONI Prowler captain named Jericho Holler becomes trigger happy and launches a nuclear bomb on the captured capital of Eden, before any UEG delegare arrives, erasing the capital city and killing millions of civilians. Jericho was later arrested along with the crew of the Prowler Over Eager for mass murder and using military grade weapons on civilian soil. The UNSC issue statements that incriminate Jericho and his crew.
2476 AD-The bombing of Eden serves as the last draw for many colonies on the Frontier, believing that the UEG and UNSC would crush any rebellion, resulting in many Frontier colonies to form the insurrectionist movement. With all colony worlds required to create shipyards the insurrectionists create fleets that contain old UNSC ships and can only produce until the Destroyer class. Having over 50 colonies and 200 mining bases at their disposal, the insurrectionists were able to construct thousands of ships.
2477 AD- The insurrectionists declare war on the UEG and by extension the UNSC, by launching attacks on largely undefended colonies, the UNSC retaliates by sending the 3rd reaction fleet, decimating most of the insurrection's attack fleet. Many underworld bosses as well as Pirate captains join the insurrection. The UEG sent a Geneva Envoy ship carrying the delegates to the planet of New Vingo which is believed to be the capital planet of the insurrection. On November 17, 2477 14:00 hours the delegation arrived at New Vingo and landed in the capital city of New Henry. The delegation was captured by the insurrection believing they were Spec Ops sent to kill their leaders, due to the influence of the underworld syndicates the insurrectionist leaders decide to film the delegates execution and demand the UEG and UNSC be replaced by the insurrection, broadcasting it across UEG space. The UEG became furious and ordered the UNSC to annihilate the insurrection. On November 24, 2477 AD 10:00 hours the insurrection war began.
2478 AD- The insurrectionists now commonly refers to as innies successfully capture the UNSC Hairudin an Artimies class BattleCruiser (6799 m in length, 543 m in width, and 764 m in height) along with her escort fleet of 5 Aleous class Cruiser ( 3570 m in length, 433 m in width, and 547 m in height), 8 Paladin class heavy destroyer (2870 m in length, 254 m in width, and 345 m in height) and 28 Heimdal class Frigate (543 m in length, 89 m in width, and 123 m in height). The innies use hit and run tactics to cripple large fleets and deploy massive numbers on isolated battle groups. The method proved effective in the early years of the war as many UNSC officers were inexperienced with the naval tactics employed by the Innies. The ground battles are another matter, as the local planetary militia, the UNSC Army proves effective against Inni ground forces. With the innies having inexperienced ground forcees for an all out war, they opted for infiltration and sabotage raids. Infiltrating a UNSC or Militia outpost, sabotaging their equipment, planting bombs and data retrievals. Although the UNSC ground forces are victorious 90% of the time, the number of civilians and military casualty was staggering making it a UNSC victory but a military failure
2482 AD- Amount of casualties in the 5 year long war was considered unacceptable, although the UNSC Navy officers had begun to counter most of the Innies ambushes, losses were still high. A young ONI deputy Commander by the name Of Margaret Perangosky develop the Bait and Switch manoeuvre later known as the Parangosky manoeuvre, the manoeuvre requires a tempting target isolated from any UNSC forces, while a prowler carrying multiple EMP missiles waiting to fire against the enemy, multiple battle groups with stealth capabilities wait near the ship or battle groups made for speed wait in at the edge of the system, allowing the EMP missiles to work and disable their shields and communications while letting the fleets perform a MAC round volleys and capture the crippled fleet.
2484 AD- A young Lieutenant Commander (LCDR, 04) by the name of Terrence Hood performed admirably in an impossible task, both the Rear-Admiral and his XO's suffer severe brain damage after getting flown across the main bridge, being the highest ranking officer LCDR, 04 Hood takes command of the Lullaby a Prosperity class BattleCruiser ( 6453 m in length, 575 m in width, and 754 m in height) against a fleet of 20 Frigates and 5 Destroyers. LCDR, 04 Hood performs what is later known as the Terrence manoeuvre, utilises the nearest asteroid belt, the Lullaby goes into the asteroid belt and deploy drones to act as decoys for signature reading, which confused the enemy fleet, utilising his broadswords and the asteroids, the ship would fire her MAC rounds at the Destroyers while the broadswords would fire missiles and launch the asteroids towards the ships. The asteroid can't destroy the ships but damages them enough to make them unable to fight for an extended period of time. With this strategy LCDR Terrence Hood destroyed most of the enemy ships with massive amounts of damage to the Lullaby. He was promoted to the rank of Captain after and was given the Highway to Hell an Excalibur class Heavy Destroyer (2100 m in length, 468 m in width, and 652 m in hight to command. )
2489 AD- The Orion Project began. 2000 veterans volunteer for the project and undergo extensive Physical training, medical checkups to ensure that every soldier is healthy. The Augmentations began on July 24, 2489 AD at 09:00 hours, the augmentations took several hours with the procedures killing 600 and crippling 1000 soldiers leaving only 400 augmented soldiers. The Orion Project was considered a failure. Although the project was considered a failure the Augmented Soldiers called the Orions performed better than the projected results, allowing the UNSC's casualty rate to fall, the Orions are given the Tiger class Power Armour. Plans on restoring the crippled soldiers were implemented.
2495 AD- The UNSC was able to retake their colonies with minimum casualty, the Orions were mainly used for infiltration and capturing of an enemy outpost, and eliminations of high value targets. Some of the Orion's defect to the insurrectionist as some of them came from the Frontier colonies. The first Orion casualty happened when the Orion Sergeant James Tucker is killed by Orion Staff Sergeant Cornelius Kang during their infiltration mission on the colony of M-76 Madrid, leaving the UNSC with 329 loyal Orions. Captain Hood is promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral(Upper Half).
2500 AD- The Insurrection war is now in its 22nd year, with the UNSC and UEG having 1075 colonies and 3000 mining bases on 920 solar systems with a population of 340 billion, while the Insurrectionists have 75 colonies and 500 mining bases and 60 solar systems. Captain Preston J Cole destroyed one of the largest Innie fleet in the Kepler-186f system consisting of 400 Frigates 200 destroyers, 100 Cruisers and the flagship Hairudin with a force of 200 Frigates, 50 Destroyers and 25 Cruisers and his flagship the Nightfall a Thanatos class Battleship with most of his fleet intact. Cole being outnumbered used a loose formation with his fleet to avoid a MAC round volley and utilising his better trained fighter pilots. Cole uses his smaller ships to flank the enemy fleet by using half of his longswords and broadswords to distract and lower their fleets defences, while ensuring that most of the enemy fleet is targeting his flagship by continuously firing MAC rounds even when out of the preferred maximum range. By the time the enemy ships were in range to fire at them, the Innies already lost a few ships and flanked in three sides, Cole ordered an Archer Missile volley and a few EMP missiles, the Innies fleet suffered major loss as over half of their fleet was destroyed and the other half were damaged. Cole then orders another MAC round volley destroying most of the remaining fleet leaving only 5 Cruisers, 10 Destroyers, 25 Frigates and the Hairudin while still having 160 Frigates, 43 Destroyers, 19 Cruisers and the Nightfall, the remaining Innie fleet surrenders and the UNSC recapturing the Hairudin. Cole was Promoted to the tank of Rear Admiral (Upper Half).
2505 AD- Terrence Hood was promoted to vice Admiral for his campaign against the Innies. Vice Admiral Terrence Hood as well as Rear Admiral (Upper Half) Preston Cole assemble an invasion fleet large enough to launch a campaign on the 75 Innie colonies, consisting a force of 2500 Corvettes, 2000 Frigates, 600 Destroyers, 400 Cruisers, 60 Carriers, 80 Prowlers, a Punic class SuperCarrier (8956 m in length, 1600 m in width, and 2000 m in hight) named the UNSC Everest captained by Rear Admiral Cole, and a Prosperity class Heavy BattleCruiser (8690 in length, 1300 m in width, and 1700 m in hight) named the UNSC Dauntless commanded by Vice Admiral Hood. The invasion fleet launched their campaign against the Innie colony, successfully invading 5 colonies in less than a year of the campaign.
2511 AD- Vice Admiral Terrence Hood is promoted to the rank of Admiral, he was offered a seat in the security council but refused stating that he would finish his campaign against the Innie colonies. Within 6 years Hood and Cole's fleet had successfully invaded 60 colonies and was planning to invade the remaining insurrection colonies.
2512 AD- Realising that the rebellions won't end, ONI recruits Dr. Catherine Halsey to create another super soldier program, in which they want loyal, strong, fast, smart soldiers and train them to be leaders. Dr. Halsey accepted under the pretext that she controls the entire project. Dr. Halsey created the SPARTAN II program, making it different from the Orion Project while still acknowledging the work done. Dr. Halsey recruits previous scientist's , medical personnel and a few Orion's to train and monitor the SPARTAN II's.
2516 AD- Dr. Halsey created a list of candidates with 4000 candidates, the problem was all of them were children under the age of 4 to 6 years of age. Dr. Haley is given authorization to replace 2000 children with flash clones, as the cost of the program exceeds the amount funded to this project. An insurrection leader named Ishiguro Kamakura knew they would lose against the UNSC navy, especially against Admiral Terrence Hood and Vice Admiral (Lower Half), decided to find habitable planets in unknown space. Going to the galactic southeast and planning on expanding his own military power as well as allowing his people to leave UEG space. Dr. Agatha Frost and Dr. Lamar Ford created the Ethan Class support droid, designed to support both civilian and military personnel.
2517 AD- The SPARTAN Program officially began on June 14, 2517 when all the selected candidates were replaced with flash clones, and were transported to Swordbase on the planet of Reach. Orion Senior Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez, Orion Staff Sergeant John Harper, Sergeant Helen Diaz, and Jasmine Rose were assigned to train 2,200 children. The remaining Insurrection colonies were successfully invaded as thousands of Innie personnel scattered to UEG controlled space where they would try to convince civilians to rebel against the UNSC and UEG. Admiral Hood accepts the Security Council seat and nominates Rear Admiral (Upper Half) Preston Cole for a promotion as a Vice Admiral.
2521 AD- The UNSC successfully developed the Mantis and its heavy Variant the Beetle. The SPARTAN's training was hellish for the candidates as they are pushed to their limits everyday. The assigned Orion officers select 3 candidates to lead the other SPARTAN's. The Officer Mendez chose John-0117 as the leader, his second being Samuel-0034, and Jerome-0092 as his third, Officer Harper chose Kurt-0051, with his second being Frederic-0104, and Jorge-0052 as his third, Officer Diaz chose Linda-0058, her second being Alice-0130 and Maria-0062 as her third, and Officer Rose chose Kelly-0087, her second being Douglas-0042 and Daisy-0023 as her third. They are tasked with leading the other SPARTAN's for large engagements. The SPARTAN's were taught that every single SPARTAN are their brothers and sisters, one they can trust with their life.
2522AD- 5 years since the scattering of the Insurrection leadership, Ishiguro Kamakura successfully terraforms and colonists 6 planets and 50 mining outposts all focused in expanding his fleet allowing him to have 800 ships within the next 3 years.
2525 AD- On January 25, 2525 the SPARTAN's received their augmentations on Hammer Base in the planet Charum Hakkor. During augmentations 700 SPARTAN's died while 400 were crippled leaving 1,100 fully augmented SPARTAN II. A funeral was held for the 700 that died during augmentations, and plans on restoring the bodies of the 400 crippled SPARTAN's. On February 5 ,2525 the UEG/UNSC officially encountered the Covenant on a frontier planet called Harvest.
