Drew POV

What tha fuck did I just walk inta? Delia just left mah side and ran ta tha little gal that called out ta 'Aunt DeeDee'. She's picking her up and embracing her tightly. Tha chit looks adorable, no more than six er seven. She dressed all silly like tha other girls I've seen running around this place. But she has long curly black hair, just like mah Delia.

As the tot squeals with delight, Delia shouts, "My JanieBug! Of course I'm here. I told you I would be there to do your makeup for your first competition, and Aunt DeeDee always keeps her promises!"

The girl laughs, "I love you, Aunt DeeDee!"

Delia smiles, "I love you too! And I see the gang's all here!"

She goes in for more hugs and kisses, and that's when I notice tha brood around her. Six adults and four other kids. I'm noticing two of tha guys and one of tha gals have tha same dark hair. Holy shit! Are these tha siblings she talks about? She said they were all married with kids. Fuck! Now I know why she didn't want me here. She didn't wanna give away our affair ta them. Shit! Maybe I can sneak away without being noticed and I'll text her later.

But tha lone boy of the gaggle, he looks about eight and lanky with blonde shaggy hair, shouts and points at me, "Holy cow! Are you Drew McIntyre?"

That's when all eyes cut ta me, and I'm starting ta sweat. Delia looks like she'd rather be anywhere else in tha world at this moment. I think her stomach just dropped. I turn back around and plaster on mah goofiest grin to give a fingered wave.

I try not ta stammer over mah words, "Aye! Hi there!"

Tha lad sprints over with tha rest of the kids and yells, "Wow! You're my favorite wrestler! I mean sports entertainer!"

HI haveta grin and give him a wink, "It's OK, kid. I still call it pro wrestling outside of interviews."

Another girl dressed in a funny costume that looks like a little older than tha first jumps up and down, "This is awesome! Aunt Deely, you didn't tell us you were bringing wrestlers with you to our dance competition! Best day EVER!"

Dance competition?! Ya gotta be kidding! I haveta think of something quick! But before I make a further fool of mahself, Delia saves both our arses, "No, Lauren. I didn't bring any wrestlers with me. Drew…is here on vacation while he heals his injury. He found out I was in town for the competition and came by for support. But he's not staying long. Are you, Drew?"

Judging by those wide, sexy as hell green eyes, I know what I need ta say, "Right! Exactly what Delia said! I just popped in ta say good luck. I'll be going now."

But bafer I can make mah much needed breakaway, the lady who is almost a carbon copy of Delia says, "Now Deely, don't be rude. Can you introduce us to your…friend?"

Delia now looks like she's about ta sweat as she sits the young girl down and says in a shaky voice, "Umm sure. Drew, this is my family."

She proceeds ta introduce them one by one. First were tha kids, all five of them! Tha oldest of tha brood at age 9, tha boy that ran up ta me, his name is Cole. Then, there were tha three girls, all with the jet black curly hair that seems ta be tha family trait with tha females: Olivia is 8, Lauren is 7 and Janie is 6. Talk about stairsteps! Tha toddler in his mother's arms, a red head like the mother holding him, is Beau.

Delia then continues, "And my adorable nieces and nephews belong to these beautiful people. This is my sister, LuLu, and her husband, Jason." I shake hands with her brother-in-law, who seems very friendly as does her sister. Is she giving me a smirk or am I just being paranoid?

She turns ta the next couple, tha one with tha youngest kid, "This is my brother, Lee. He's lucky enough to be married to beautiful Eliza." She has a bright smile as I shake her hand and wave at her son. Her brother is nice, but yet seems a little pensive.

Lastly, "And finally, the oldest and not the cutest, this is my brother, Ben and his wife, Ivy."

She is lovely, shaking my hand with a wide grin. He, on tha other hand. He grips mah hand like a vice and is staring me down. He speaks with a deliberate Southern drawl, "Nice to meet you, Drew."

There is definitely tension between us, and LuLu tries ta ease it, "Well, Drew, we're so happy you're joining us! We need to get the girls back in the dressing room and finish their hair and Deely has to do their makeup. You guys take Drew to our seats, and we'll be there when the girls are stage ready!"

Delia looks wide eyed as she says, "OK, sure. Um, lead me to the dressing room."

She looks as unsure and uneasy as I feel right now as she walks back with tha girls, pulling her makeup gear rolling bag behind her. She manages ta giggle with her youngest niece bafer looking back at me as if ta say, 'Good luck in front of the firing squad!'

And that's exactly what it feels like as they lead me ta their row. I need ta stop reading inta how her oldest brother was looking. Maybe that's just his personality. He loves his sister, and I could never fault him fer that. I think it's great that they all have their Dance Dad shirts on. I love a supportive family. That's one thing I missed when I moved ta America: mah family cheering me on in tha stands.

They insist on me sitting in between tha two brothers, with tha brother-in-law sitting in front of us with the oldest boy sitting beside him and tha youngest on his lap. Well, isn't this cozy and comfy! Or awkward as hell. I rub mah hands together and give mah goofiest smile as they consider me.

Ben, tha oldest sibling, tells the kid, "Cole, why don't you put your headphones on while you play on your Switch? Just take them off when your sister and cousins are on stage."

Thea boy shrugs and says bafer turning around and obeying his dad, "OK. By the way, Drew. You should've won at Clash at the Castle."

I smile and nod at him, then turn to his dad, "He's a good lad. Sa, you're Delia's brothers. I've heard a lot about ya guys."

Lee, the younger one, huffs, "Probably how we constantly meddle in her life or something like that. Right?"

I give a nervous laugh, "Aye, but she alsa says she missed ya all like crazy."

Ben asks, "So, how long have you known Deely? Obviously long enough to feel comfortable enough to call her Delia when everyone else calls her Deely."

I shift in mah seat slightly, "Uh, about five years now. She was doing makeup fer NXT when I re-signed with WWE."

Ben point blank without flinching goes fer tha throat, "Is that how long you've been fucking my sister? Or is that a recent development."

Jason turns around shocked, "Ben! What the fuck, man!

Lee grumbles, "Shit! Here we go!"

I shake mah head in disbelief, "I'm sorry. What?"

Ben doesn't let up, "You heard me. It was a straightforward question. I don't buy the whole vacation bit. I saw the way you two were acting before Janie started calling for Deely. And the last time I checked, you're a happily married man. Aren't you, Drew? So why are you sticking your dick in my sister and dragging her down into some adulterous bullshit?"

Mah Scottish temper has started ta rage. But fer her sake, I'm keeping it reigned in. I take a breath and simply say, "I won't dignify that with a response. I know you love your sister, but there is no need to disrespect her, or I like this."

Ben sniffs, "You have no idea how much I love her. She's my baby sister, and I've had to be the man of the family since our dad walked out on our mom when we were just kids. Deely was just a baby. She thinks I'm a meddling older brother, but I would rather die than let anyone, including you, break her heart. And I can assure you of something. If you ever do that, I don't give two shits how big you are, I will beat your ass."

I look down, really fighting tha urge ta cave in his fucking skull, "I can respect that, but throwing around accusations is a bell end move. Like I said, I will not be answering this line of questioning without Delia being her ta defend herself."

I get up and go ta a couple of rows behind them. I face the stage, refusing ta acknowledge they've both turned around staring darts at me. Honestly, I'm ready ta bolt from this building or I might crack his fucking skull open with mah bare hands. But that will anger Delia even more, and I can't lose her. Sa, I just sit quietly awaiting her return and enduring tha scornful gazes of her brothers burning a hole in my soul.

Delia POV

My happy place! I love doing makeup, and I love my job with WWE. But helping my nieces get ready for their first dance competition of the season is something I look forward to every year. It's become a tradition ever since Olivia started competing a solo three years prior.

I'm working on Janie's face as LuLu works on her hair. Ivy is putting a bun in Olivia's hair and Eliza is working on Lauren with a curling iron. As I change the eyeshadow brush, I notice LuLu giving me a strange look. Like, she always did when we were kids, and she knew I was hiding something. Fuck! Is it that obvious? That's Rebecca Louise Alexander Bauer for you!

I look over at her and ask, "What's on your mind, LuLu? You're gonna burn yourself with that curling iron if you don't pay attention to Janie's head."

She shrugs as she rolls another lock onto the curling iron, "Oh nothing. I was just thinking how adorable it was that Drew showed up like magic to the competition. He seems really sweet."

I put the first false lash on Janie's eyes and agree, "He is incredibly kind."

She sniffs, "And very handsome too."

I nod my head as I press the lashes in, "Yep. He's good looking."

She looks over at out sisters-in-law and smirks, "You know, in another life, you two would make one gorgeous couple."

I roll my eyes as I get read to apply the last lash, "Let's not get into this in front of the girls, please. I know I'm getting drilled by all of you about this when we get to your cabin for dinner."

She snickered, "That's not the only way you're getting dr…"

Ivy interrupts, "Can we not have that kind of talk around the girls? They're already nervous as hell and distracting Deely from her work. Isn't helping."

We all quieten down, but LuLu looks at me and mouths, "You know it's true." Goddamn it! Thank a lot, Drew!

After wishing the girls luck with hugs and kisses as they were led backstage by their dance teachers, the four of us walk into the auditorium and find the guys. OK, I can already tell something is amiss. Drew is sitting a couple of rows behind and a few seats deep from the rest of the group and he's got that look on his face. Meanwhile, Ben and Lee are talking and looking back.

Me and the ladies sit down next to him with LuLu next to me. I pop Drew on the thigh, trying to be a casual as I can be and not act like I've ridden those thighs on many occasions, and inquire, "Hey! Why are you sitting back here?"

Drew, still looking ahead with that stoic expression still in place, shrugs, "No reason. Just thought I'd give ya guys some room ta watch tha girls."

No, something is off. Motherfucker! I cut my eyes to my brothers and demand, "Ben, what the hell did you do?"

But he and Lee won't look back at me. This confirms without a word that one or both of them said or did something to him. LuLu looks at her phone and gasps. She shows me the message from Jason, and I am FUMING: 'Ben went in on Drew, accusing him and Deely of having an affair.'

I can't help but seethe at the back of their thick heads, "Are you serious? When will you stop interfering in my life? I'm so sick of this!"

My sisters-in-law comfort me as LuLu tries to smooth things, "You two… This is why we don't get to see her very much anymore! We will all talk about this later. Deely, please. Let's just all calm down and cheer on the girls. Drew, I'm so sorry you had to endure that. I assure you we're not all as boorish as our brothers. Please forgive us all."

Drew just shakes his head, "There's nothing ta fergive. I'll be leaving after tha girls dance."

My heart drops as LuLu says, "No, Drew. I invited you to have dinner with us. It's the least we can do after you took time out of your busy schedule to support our girls. You are more than welcome at our table."

I glance over and Drew and whisper, "I'm so sorry. I should've told you where I was going."

He shakes his head, "Nah. I should've trusted ya. This was all mah fault."

My anger at him softens in that instant. I'm still irritated at him for following me and showing up, but he in no way deserved what Ben did to him. I sigh and allow my hand to drift down between us. My fingers caress his, and he reciprocates this. Our fingers lock together out of sight of the rest of the party, and we stay that want until after the girls dance.

I'm pulling up to the cabin my family rented out for the weekend after the competition. It's way bigger than mine, but then again there are six adults and five children in their party. They had tried to get me to stay in this one with them. I love them but I need my privacy too much when I'm trying to sleep. Plus, after what went down with Drew and my brothers, the last thing I want is to even be around them at this moment.

Either way, I'm so proud of my beautiful nieces! They all danced beautifully and got first place in their age categories. Janie was so precious when she got her first ever trophy. I couldn't help but shed a little tear when she won. She looked so happy. I even looked over after Drew and he had a big smile on his face when she enthusiastically told the emcee her name, the choreographer and her dance studio.

Speaking of, he just pulled in right beside me. As he puts his truck in park and turns off the ignition, he looks over at me. I give him a slight smile as he gets out and comes over to my Jeep door, opening it for me. I step out, but he doesn't bother to move. Our bodies are so close, I can feel that heat from his skin again, even as snowflakes have started to fall.

I look up and quip, "Nothing like wintertime in the Tennessee mountains."

He breathes, "I'm sa sorry, baby. I love ya so much. I never wanted ta cause any trouble between ya ad yer family."

His face hovers close to mine and I want nothing more than to kiss him senseless, but I have to pump the breaks, "We can't do this here. Let's just go get this dinner over with and we'll talk when I get back to Nashville. Besides, I have a few things to say to Ben and he will hear me out. Now come on and get some homemade food, Alexander style."

We walk in the front door and immediately the kids rush to hug me as Jason, Ivy and Eliza look on. But to my surprise, they start to swarm Drew and shower him with affection. I look at his warm, dimpled smile as they start to pepper him with questions, and my heart skips a beat.

Cole jumps up and down, "Hey Drew! Can you teach me how to wrestle?"

Drew holds his hands up and waves them, "Eh I dunno about that. Yer parents wouldn't be too keen on that, I'm sure."

As the kids all protest and beg, I look at Jason and ask, "Where are my dear siblings?"

He thumbs over to the adjoining door and Ivy confirms, "They're in the kitchen making dinner. I'm sure they're waiting on you."

I sniff, "Good. Now, I can have it out with them all without having to wrangle them up. Make sure the kids don't hurt Drew too bad."

I stomp into the kitchen with a purpose. I see Ben and Lee gathered around LuLu as she prepares the mashed potatoes at the stove. They've already been talking about me. I can tell by their judgmental faces as they notice me enter the room.

I grab a plastic cup off the counter and hurl it towards Ben's brainless, redneck head. He swats it away as I yell, "You PRICK! How dare you pull that shit with Drew earlier!"

LuLu reaches me and hold me back as Lee does the same to Ben, who yells, "How dare I? How about how dare he drag my baby sister into an adulterous affair! And how dare you let him? What the fuck were you thinking, Delia?"

I scream, "There you go AGAIN! Meddling in my personal business and jumping to conclusions without having the balls to ask ME first. This is MY life you're fucking with!"

Ben challenges me, "OK. Then tell me I'm wrong. Look me in the eyes and tell me you're not sleeping with him, and I'll go out there right now and apologize like a man. Go on! Tell me I'm wrong!"

I narrow my eyes as I get in his personal space, ready to lie right to his face and say it's not true. But I can't. I never could lie to him. They all know me too well. Tears spring to my eyes and I start to break down right in front of him, turning into LuLu's embrace.

I cry, "OK fine! We've been together since September."

Ben smacks his hand on the counter, "Goddamn it, Deely!"

Lee folds his arms on his chest, "Sis, you're crazy to be doing this! He's married! This could end so badly for you! What the hell were you thinking?"

Ben snarls, "She wasn't thinking. She's just fucking!"

I shout back at him, now in full hysterics, "Go to hell, Bejamin Earl Alexander! I love Drew! And he loves me! We want nothing more than to be together!"

Ben snaps back, "Then why aren't you?"

LuLu tries to bring calm into the situation like always, "Deely, has he given you any indication that he going to leave his wife?"

I wipe away the flood of tears on my cheeks and nod, "Yes. She is awful to him and has been before I even came into the picture. She's been cheating on him for quite some time now. He's looking for a way out. But he's also trying to be careful about it. There is a lot of money involved. He doesn't wanna lose what he's earned. Plus, he doesn't want anything coming back on me if we're caught. I could lose my job and my reputation."

Ben growls, "Then you shouldn't've opened your legs for him!"

LuLu fires back, "OK Ben, that's enough! You keep this up and she'll never wanna be near any of us again! Stop it now!"

Lee agrees, "OK bro, you've made you're point. Ease up on her now."

But I'm not through, "You do not own me, Ben! This is MY life!"

Ben doesn't back down, "And you're my baby sister! I've practically had to raise you before I even reached middle school! The idea of you getting hurt by anyone kills me. I already nearly blew that Kross idiot's head off his greasy shoulders for beating you!"

I grouse, "Please god, don't start about that again. And Drew would never raise a hand to hurt me!"

He rebuts, "But what about your heart, Deely? You think for one minute I'm gonna be OK with you fucking a married man, especially one you work with? This can't end any other way but you having your heart broken!"

I practically throw my head down towards the counter and rest my forehead on my forearms. I can't control my heaving sobs. I want to continue this argument and confidently declare he's wrong. But I can't do that. There is that lingering doubts and anxiety inside my soul that Ben has pounced on, intentionally or not. He's absolutely correct. I could wind up hurt, but I love Drew too much to give up on what we share.

LuLu rubs my back, trying to console me, "Sweetie, please. Ben may be acting like a neanderthal, but he does love you. We all do. And we will support you no matter what."

Ben tries to raise a protest but Lee cuts him off, "Ben, shut up. I said that's enough. She's our sister, and we love her through thick and thin."

LuLu loudly reiterates, "I said NO MATTER WHAT! I personally really like Drew. And if he's loved by you, then he must be someone very special. Just please be careful with everything. Ben is right about one thing. This could end very badly."

I lift my head up off the counter and stand completely erect, "If you guys don't mind, I'll be going back to my cabin. I'm suddenly not very hungry."

LuLu begs, "No, Sis. Please don't go. We never get to see you and we've missed you so much."

I'm not moved, "No. I can tell by that scowl on his face. He will never accept me with Drew. I'm not allowing him or me to sit in King Benjamin's judgement. I'm done having my personal life scrutinized and interfered with. I'm going. I'll see y'all at the competition next year."

Lee tried to plead, "Deely, please don't. Goddamn it, Ben! You stubborn ass! You've really done it now!"

I can tell they're all marching after me, but I'm not staying here another minute. Not after everything Ben said, and the way he said it was extremely hurtful. I'm trying to reign in my sobs and wipe my tears, but the bastards are like Gremlins: they keep multiplying.

But as I enter the living room, I have to stop in my tracks at the site before my eyes: Drew is down on the floor with my nieces and nephews. He's allowing them to "attack" him, wrestling him to the ground and climbing all over him.

My siblings stop behind me to watch the spectacle as well as Drew roars, "Ah! Ya little buggers! Now ya done it! I gotcha!"

He takes Cole's legs and play twists it, but Janie jumps up on his chest and giggles, "Count the pin, Uncle Jason!"

He obliges with a fast three count much to the amusement of everyone. My heart has completely melted. I loved this man before this. But now seeing him be so amazing with my nieces and nephew, I adore him even more. I have to smile and nearly forget what I was so upset about.

However, Janie's incredibly innocent question breaks the mood, "Can I ask you a question? Can we call you Uncle Drew?"

I gasp, noticing Drew is completely taken aback by the request, and make my way into the living room near the scene of the wrestling match, "Janie! Come now. That's not really an appropriate question for someone you just met."

Janie pokes her lip out with a pout and muses, "But we really like him. He's funny. And he loves you, Aunt DeeDee."

Ben bellows, "Janie Marie Alexander! That's enough!"

I give a hysterical laugh, trying so damn hard to mask my emotions, and pick her up from Drew's chest, "No sweetie, you're presuming a lot. Didn't your Daddy ever teach you what it means to assume? I suppose not since he does it all the time." I cut a scathing look over to my dear brother. I continue, "Besides, you're embarrassing Drew."

Drew, sitting up on the floor with the other kids, just shrugs with a goofy grin, "I took no offensive ta it. I think it was sweet of her ta ask."

I have to get out of here before I start to cry again, "OK guys, I'm sorry but something has come up. I can't stay for dinner. But I'll be at the competition tomorrow."

The kids all rush me, begging and pleading, "No, Aunt DeeDee!" "You can't leave!" You promised to have dinner with us!"

I hear LuLu said to Ben, "Damn it! See what you caused! Do something about this now!"

I see Lee go to Jason, "Stop being a dumbass redneck and make this right! She's our sister."

Drew stands up and inquires, "Is everything alright, Delia?"

Jason suddenly causes everyone to stop in their tracks, "No, everything is not alright, Drew. I…said some harsh words to Deely. She has every right to be mad at me, even if what I said came from a place of love and worry. Sis, I will never apologize for loving you and wanting the best for you. But I'm sorry for the hurtful things I said to you. Please forgive me and don't go."

I narrow my eyes, "I'm not the only one you owe an apology to. Otherwise, I'm out the door."

He hisses, but LuLu slaps him on the back of the shoulder "You heard her!"

Ben walks over to Drew and looks up at him. It's so funny, but until I started working for WWE, I thought Ben and Lee were the biggest and strongest men I ever know. But Drew's 6'5 1/2" muscular frame towers over both of them, and they break over the six-foot mark.

Ben grits his teeth and relents, "Drew, I'm sorry for what I said in the auditorium. It was uncalled for. Please accept my apology." He sticks out his hand.

Drew looks skeptical as he glances over at me then back to Ben. He gives a slight smirk and takes his hand, "Apology accepted. Like I said, I can never fault ya fer caring about yer sister."

I breathe a DEEP sigh of relief as LuLu declares, "OK everyone now that the show is over, time for dinner! Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans for our favorite little dancers!"

The rest of the crowd cheers and rushes to the kitchen. As I get ready to leave, I see Ben pull Drew closer in an act of defiance. He warns him, "Just so you know, I meant what I said. I don't like this thing going on between you and Deely, but I'll always love her no matter what. If you hurt her, I'll beat the shit out of you."

Drew doesn't back down, "The last thing I ever wanna do is hurt Delia. I'm assuming she's told ya everything. Just so YA know, I love her with everything I have in me. That's tha reason I didn't cave yer fucking skull in when ya said all those disgusting things about us."

Jason nods and releases his grasp on Drew's hand, "Sounds like we're clear on everything. Let's go have some dinner. Hope you're hungry."

Drew grins and I can't tell if it's sarcasm or not, "We're like fucking crystal. And I'm starving. Looking forward ta a homecooked meal."
