Hey everyone, Musikman50 here with a new story.

As you can see from the title, this isn't another Spider-Man story. This is a Dragon Ball story about Goku's parents surviving after Planet Vegeta was destroyed. I do have a few things to say first relating to this story.

1st: This story was based on a YouTube video by Salad Saiyan as a What If? story. I thought to myself, that's an awesome idea, maybe I can write a story about this. BTW, please show him some love if you get the chance.

2nd: This is a tribute story to the late great Akira Toriyama who passed away months ago. I wanted to make a different story with a battle royal with the Z-Fighters but Toriyama and Toyotaro beat me to it, the mad lads. I have always been a huge fan of the Dragon Ball series and his passing was... I can't even find the words honestly.

3rd: I'll be taking everything into consideration from both his video, the story, and my own personal preference. However, as much as I like the character Ruta (Goku's sister in the video), she will not be appearing in the story. Also, I will only go over the events in Dragon Ball Z. I'm still coming up with ideas for Super.

4th: This pertains to the other stories. I haven't come up with anything yet due to Writer's Block but I will update the other stories before the year ends. That's a promise I won't break.

Now that I've gone over everything, let's dive on in. Also, I'll be writing in a different way than the usual way. Hope you all enjoy!

Chapter 1: The End of Saiyans

Planet Vegeta.

Home of the Saiyans.

A race of warriors known for their Great Ape forms and their pride. Besides members of the Frieza Race, the Saiyans are strong in battle.

Today is the day where, unfortunately for the Saiyans, that changes.

A female Saiyan is chopping meat when a wounded man walked in.

?: Gine, we are all in trouble.

The woman, Gine, was shocked to see her husband Bardock so badly beaten. She ran towards him to help him up.

Gine: Bardock! What happened to you?!

Bardock: Frieza betrayed us. My crew was murdered by Dodoria and his Elites. Tora… told me that Frieza plans to destroy all Saiyans and the planet.

Gine was shocked to hear this.

Gine: Oh no! That's terrible! He truly is a monster.

Bardock: What happened to Kakarot and Raditz?

Gine: Kakarot has already been sent off world to a planet called Earth. As for Raditz, he is on a mission with Prince Vegeta.

Bardock: That's good. They are better off somewhere else and away from harm.

Gine: What will we do?

Bardock: You have to get off of the planet. There are some spaceships you can use to get off the planet. As for me, I'm going to fight Frieza and his army alone.

Gine was shocked to hear that as well.

Gine: Bardock, you will die if you fight alone.

Bardock: What else can I do? No one will listen and Frieza's aid almost killed me.

Gine: You're also badly hurt.

Bardock: I've been hurt before.

Gine: Bardock think for a bit. Frieza is way stronger than any of us. We have to leave together.

Bardock: What?! Gine, I'm a warrior! I will not run.

Gine: Even if you know you will lose? Think Bardock, I won't know what to do on other planets. Also what would happen to our son Kakarot? We can't just abandon them. Bardock, please leave the planet with me. I need you.

Gine looked at Bardock with her gentle eyes and Bardock could not look away. He hated the idea to run away but his wife needed him. Bardock sighed in the end.

Bardock: … Fine but we have to be quick and get off of the planet.

with Frieza

Dodoria walked in to a room where Frieza and Zarbon were located and stood behind Frieza while kneeling on one knee.

Dodoria: Mission accomplished, Sire.

Frieza didn't turn to face him.

Frieza: Really now? You sound so sure of yourself Dodoria.

Dodoria had a confused look on his face. Zarbon walked over beside him.

Zarbon: Once again you botched it up. You missed one. The Saiyan named Bardock survived.

Dodoria was shocked by this.

Dodoria: What impossible! How could he survive?!

Frieza: Perhaps this will teach you not to take things for granted, Dodoria.

Dodoria felt embarrassed.

Dodoria: Lord Frieza, allow me to rectify my mistake. I won't let him get away this time.

Frieza turned around with a stern look on his face.

Frieza: That's enough Dodoria! You're not going anywhere.

Dodoria lowered his head in shame.

Frieza: There is no point in chasing after him. Besides, I have already made my decision.

Dodoria was confused but Zarbon knew exactly what he was talking about.

Zarbon: I see. You plan to exterminate the Saiyan Race, right Lord Frieza?

Frieza smiled an evil smile.

Frieza: Yes I do. Besides, I want to see some beautiful fireworks.

Later

Bardock and Gine flew together to an area where the spaceships and space-pods were located. In an instant the two quickly jumped into a spaceship and blasted off.

Random Saiyan: HEY!

Gine: Sorry we really need it.

Lasers were fired at the two and the ship was hit a few times but they managed to get away with it.

Bardock and Gine sat back in their seats and flew away from the planet. They did so just in time.

Frieza's ship appeared above the planet. The top hatch opened as Frieza levitated in his seat above the planet.

Frieza: This will be the last time I see this planet.

Suddenly, Frieza created a Supernova and launched it at the planet.

The Saiyans that Bardock tried to warn learned too late that Bardock was right. They saw the Supernova and could do nothing to stop it as it collided with the planet's surface.

Explosions went off. Saiyans were running and flying to safety. People were screaming in terror.

The Supernova struck the planet's core causing even more destruction.

Soon enough, Planet Vegeta was destroyed.

Frieza laughed maniacally as he just committed mass genocide.

Frieza: HAHAHAHAHAH! WHAT BEAUTIFUL FIREWORKS! LOOK ZARBON, LOOK DODORIA! LOOK AT THE MONKEYS BURN! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

A shockwave was launched from the planet's destruction.

Luckily, Bardock and Gine managed to leave the planet just in time.

Gine: Our people… our planet…

Gine had tears in her eyes. She wanted to cry but composed herself.

Bardock was pissed. He might not have been close with many Saiyans except for his wife, sons, and teammates but he wanted to at least get revenge on Frieza.

He did know that Frieza was stronger than him and that he would have died in battle. However, he couldn't accept that he had to run away.

Bardock: Damn you Frieza. You will pay for this one day. I promise.

Bardock vowed that he will get stronger and avenge the Saiyan Race for what Frieza had done.

Gine: So where are we going?

Bardock: We are heading to a planet to lay low for a while. After that, we'll find Raditz and Kakarot to fight Frieza.

-On Earth-

An elderly man found a space-pod that contained an infant child.

Grandpa Gohan: Why, hello there. I'm Gohan, how did you end up all alone in the forest?

The infant child was picked up by Gohan.

Grandpa Gohan: It seems you were abandoned. And you have a tail.

The infant slapped Gohan with his tail. Gohan laughed.

Grandpa Gohan: It seems you're a fighter. Well then, you live with me from now on. You'll need a name as well. How about Son Goku?

The infant began laughing in delight.

Grandpa Gohan: Well then Goku, let's head home.

Grandpa Gohan took Goku with to begin their new lives together, regardless of how short it will be. It was at that moment, Goku's life on Earth began.

Next time... the end of the tyrant!
