Seth; "oh my adorable little sister, how have you been? Have you been eating? You look thin? Are you okay?" and it continues like this for about 20 minutes without stop, Seth finally stops when he sees the look Nyx is giving him. Nyx: I'm fine brother" Seth: "Good, good" looks at thorin and Gandalf "who are they?" Gandalf: "I'm Gandalf the grey and the dwarf next to me is Thorin, king under the mountain" Then, Seth-without hesitation-says: "Oh, so you're the famous dwarf king? Didn't expect you to be so broody. Are all dwarf kings this grumpy, or is it just you?" Gandalf, pinching the bridge of his nose: "Prince Seth, let's not irritate Thorin." Nyx, smirking: "Brother, stop being rude. He may be a dumbass and a grumpy one at that, but be nice." Seth, grinning: "I am being nice, little sis." Thorin is just staring at them, watching the exchange, and he suddenly sees the resemblance—not just in their silver hair and striking eyes, but in the sheer amount of sass. And for the first time in a long while, he's speechless. Nyx rolls her eyes and leads Seth out of the cave and to the nearest town but before they can get even 20 feet from the cave, the rest of the dwarves arrive. Nyx and Seth are barely out of the cave, ready to find an inn and regroup, when suddenly, they hear loud, familiar voices behind them. Bofur, tipping his hat: "Well now, ain't this a sight? Didn't know Nyx came with a matching set." Dwalin, arms crossed, eyeing Seth suspiciously: "Who's this, then? Another elf?" Seth, flashing his signature grin: "Technically, I'm the elf—Prince Seth of the Moon Elves, older brother to this little menace here." gestures at Nyx. Fili, elbowing Kili: "See? She's got an older brother, just like us." Kili, grinning: "Yeah, but I bet he doesn't tease her as much as we do." Seth, dead serious: "Oh, I absolutely do." Nyx groans while Kili and Fili immediately take this as an invitation to team up with Seth. Thorin, meanwhile, just stands there, still buffering, trying to process the fact that there are now two Moon Elves in his life, both full of sass, and both somehow important. Then comes the moment where Seth finally really looks at Thorin, noticing the way his gaze lingers on Nyx—maybe a little too long. Seth, smirking: "Hold on… Are you the one Kili and Fili have been trying to set my sister up with?" Nyx and Thorin: "WHAT?!" Cue Kili and Fili looking way too proud of themselves while the rest of the dwarves either start laughing, nodding in agreement, or immediately joining in. Seth's smirk widens: "I approve" KIli and Fili both grin as soon as they realize that they have a partner in crime to tease Thorin and Nyx. Seth ends up joining the "i ship Thorin and Nyx" club. Oh, Gandalf is absolutely amused by this whole situation. He's been shipping Thorin and Nyx from the moment he noticed the tension between them, and now that Seth has joined the club, he's feeling quite vindicated. Gandalf, stroking his beard with a smug smile: "Ah, young love… or, well, stubborn love. This is turning out better than I expected." He's thoroughly enjoying Thorin's internal struggle and Nyx's exasperation. He probably mutters something about "Even a dwarf as stubborn as Thorin Oakenshield cannot escape fate" while chuckling to himself. As for Thranduil? Ohhh, he is dramatic about it. At first, he's just offended that his Moon Elf queen (because yes, he absolutely acknowledges her as royalty) is even considering a dwarf. He thinks it's beneath her. Thranduil, with his signature unimpressed expression: "A dwarf? Truly, Nyx? You could have anyone, yet you choose a brooding, gold-obsessed, stubborn dwarf?" But then, when he sees how everyone—including her own brother—is teasing her about it, he realizes this is not just some passing thing. And after witnessing how Thorin looks at Nyx (especially after she nearly dies saving Seth), he begrudgingly acknowledges that maybe—just maybe—Thorin is worthy. Thranduil, sighing dramatically: "I suppose if one must choose a dwarf, at least choose one who can wield a sword properly." But he will never say outright that he approves. Instead, he'll just make snide comments and give Thorin the occasional side-eye while secretly respecting him for his devotion to Nyx. As the group finally settles in an inn for the night, the chaos does not die down. In fact, it only gets worse.
