Time to visit the Special Region and see how well things are going for the military forces, the common folks and pretty much a lot there is to it. Enjoy reading this new chapter everyone.
Spells and Louds.
Chapter 1,118: Welcome to Alnus Hill.
(The Special Region, located at the other side of The GATE.)
The large doors open, and coming out is an Allied MCV, the massive vehicle makes the ground shake and rumble as it emerges, and it is accompanied by an armored convoy of Guardian Tanks, Multi-Gunner IFV's, Pacifier FAV's, Mirage Tanks and Riptide ACV's.
But, there are others also within the convoy, and they are most of the members of the Royal Defenders, and all of them come out of the MCV and stand on the roof and are witnessing the Special Region. Leon and Sergei come rolling through within their Tiger Tank. Peter Sharp is also here, and on his bike.
The others are; Lincoln, Jordan, Luna, Sam, Linka, Neil, Gwen, Boomer, Dana, Becky, Carol, Martin, Victor and Jack Cyber. Lincoln also brought along Absol and Jordan brought with her Dominic the Indoraptor.
They look around this base, and Lincoln is impressed. "the formation of this base is an incredible formation." They can spot the Japanese Imperial Base not too far from the Alnus Fort Bastion Base and they can spot the village which they will be visiting later. The group hop off the MCV as it comes to a stop.
Martin then gives orders to the MCV. "Continue to the rendezvous point. Deploy there once you arrive, and setup all base of Allied focal point operations."
"As Requested!" The MCV advances, and with it's Armored Escorts.
The rest of the Royal Defenders see the Soldiers of the JSDF lined up and saluting, and then they are greeted by two official high-ranking members. Lieutenant General of the JSDF and the commander of Special Task Force Kōichirō Hazama and 1st lieutenant in the JSDF Akira Yanagida.
They salute to them, and then dismiss. "Thank you for coming here, we are honored by your presence" replied Hazama. "Welcome, to Alnus Hill."
"Thank you, General" replied Linka. "We have to admit, the way this base is made is impressive. Good fortifications, and would stand strong against any hostile invasion."
Then Akira Yanagida speaks. "We have already setup the special quarters that you will all be residing in while you stay here. We know that you all wish to speak with us about the circumstances of what's been happening here at the Gate. Did Mr. Sharp here notify you of some information?"
"He has, but we know that there is much more to be discussed, correct?" asked Neil.
"There is" replied Hazama. "Please, follow me." They all follow the General. Lincoln looks around the base, and he does wonder.
'Where the hell is Yoji Itami? Or, is he off doing some random mission to help someone?' He also notices, this black-haired Japanese woman, she doesn't seem like a member of the JSDF, but she has an ID and he needs to know more about her. There's something else they have not been told about.
(General's Meeting Room.)
Dominic and Absol are outside the meeting building, and enjoying some snacks. Some of the soldiers pet them and are amazed to confront an actual Pokémon. The others inside of the building take their seats, and enjoy some tea. "So, tell us about the Lord or King who is in your medical care?" asked Jordan.
Yanagida tells them. "His name is King Duran, from what information we have, he is known as the Lion of Elbe, and the king of the Elbe Kingdom. He was one of the Commanders who attacked our base when we went through The Gate and he was badly wounded. He's still getting treated for his wounds and recovering well. He's grateful for the prosthetic limbs."
"I can help give him more advanced prosthetic limbs" replied Jack Cyber. "Ones that can move alongside his nervous system."
"That would be a good thing, sir" replied Yanagida. "You should know, that King Duran says he wants nothing to do with the Emperor and his Empire capital and has sworn allegiance to the JSDF and has given full permission of our forces to enter his region, and benefit from the resources. You know what resources we mean."
"Oil" replied Victor. "Too obvious, this Region, this world is rich and plentiful. Still, we shouldn't exploit more of what this world has to offer, and at least help them with issues and conflicts, and try to settle down with peace talks. We are doing that, right?"
General Hazama nods and then he explains. "We have two representatives from Foreign affairs who are currently staying at the Jade Palace Capital. Kōji Sugawara and Reiko Shirayuri, both are treated well by the Princess. They have met with many senators and peace talks are going smoothly. They just need to speak with the Emperor of peace and everything will be taken care of."
They're all happy to know that. "Good to know, we don't wanna have to end up waging war around here. The folks in this land, they have no idea what would happen if they provoke our frontline" replied Leon.
"And another thing" replied Linka. "We know that making action happen here is hard, because of the Prim Minister and delegates back in Japan. So, FutureTech has overridden the chain of commands and have been granted full permission to commandeer the JSDF forces."
This surprises Hazama and Yanagida. "Really?"
Martin smirks and he explains. "Damn bloody hell right, boys. I am aware that the officials back in japan are too cautious, and don't even have the ball sacks to understand what you guys have to do to ensure peace and act when it's necessary. The JSDF will be granted all permissions from FutureTech, depending on the reports we're getting. We got your back guys, and also same for Itami. Where is the doofus anyway?"
That one makes Yanagida smirk. Hazama explains. "Off to his new assignment with his allied females. We are grateful for your operations here, this will surely help us in many ways, especially the citizens at the village and I assume that all of you will venture to the village later, correct?"
"We will" replied Lincoln. "But, there is one thing I need to know, General." The others are confused, and then they see Lincoln is stern. "Who's the civilian with the JSDF ID in this base?"
The others don't know who he means, the Yanagida and Hazama know, and they look to Peter Sharp and he sighs. "Fellas, there's a lot I didn't explain, and it seemed best we discussed it here… The incident, after the Peace Talk meetings with the Senate. Something, happened…"
"What do you mean, dad?" asked Sam.
Yanagida speaks. "It happened, the night after the Senate Peace Talks. An earthquake struck the Special Region, and we managed to help the citizens who were caught in the natural disaster. We were warned early, when some of the women from Trouble Town South of the Imperial Capital since they are part animals, they can sense the disaster. If they hadn't had warned us, then who knows what could've happened."
Peter Sharp speaks next. "Eventually, I joined with Itami and Sugawara and some of his team to join with Princess Piña Co Lada to speak with Emperor Molt Sol Augustus about the disaster, and he seemed less than amused to see us, and then came one of his children, Crown Prince Zorzal El Caesar and let me say… That guy is one annoying piece of shit."
"He then said he knew of the earthquake coming, and he showed us all the prisoner he held, her name… Is Noriko Mochizuki, the woman you saw outside this building." This shocks them.
Jordan then speaks. "Wait, wait. But that would mean—"
Hazama nods and sighs. "She's a citizen from Japan. They took our people, as prisoners. We couldn't save all of them, only Noriko was saved. The rest, are long gone now."
Peter then continues again. "We engaged with furious hostile tendencies, and we killed the prince's guards, and Kuribayashi showed why a woman should not be underestimated, and kicked the prince's ass like he was a sad pathetic little piece of shit. We rescued Noriko and the emperor allowed it, and we exchanged some words of warning, why our worlds are so much different from each other."
"Because we treat our people with respect and will rescue them from harms way, whatever it takes" replied Lincoln, and they notice Mjolnir is sparking with electricity.
"Indeed" replied Yanagida. "We brought Noriko here, and tended to her wounds. She asked about her parents, but… They're gone, they were among the civilian casualties when the Special Region invaded Japan. She entered a depressed state, and she's still recovering. We're hoping she will be fine soon. We have a plan to have her work within the base as a liaison."
The rest of the team remain silent, and are pissed off by this information. Boomer then asks. "When was she abducted from Japan?"
Peter Sharp explains again. "The Summer season was when it happened. The Empire sent secret scouts, and they abducted many people within the area of the Gate and took them in as prisoners. Let's just say… We're all still pretty pissed off by everything they did and let me say… I had fun landing a crack of my knuckles onto that little piece of shit prince."
The others are still surprised and not happy about this, and now they can see that the Emperor and his Crown Prince are bastards to be aware of, and to be ready for when something else happens again. Deep down, Lincoln is furious.
Yanagida speaks again. "We did give them a warning of these actions, we bombed their Senate meeting place, thankfully there were no civilian casualties. But that was our warning to them, to never cross our paths and kidnap our own people."
Lincoln gets up. "You should've done more. We know that Japan has given back the prisoners which have fought at the invasion of Ginza… But those bastards, they don't realize what they have done, capturing our own, and sending the rest away. They won't get away with this, mark my words."
(Outside.)
The meeting is done, and they all head outside. General Hazama speaks. "Thank you for this meeting with you and we hope you all enjoy your—"
Lincoln throws Mjolnir into the air, and this causes the sky to make a loud crackling sound and the clouds start to gather and thunder is heard and lightning is seen in the sky. The others remain silent, and Lincoln sighs. "We'll be waiting for when there is another meeting with that damned emperor, and I'll make sure he understands." He then calls back Mjolnir and it returns to him.
They all head off, and they do notice Noriko and wave to her, she smiles and waves to them. Hazama and Yanagida understand the fury in Commander Freezer Burn, and they hope that the Royal Defenders can help them deal with this.
"He's furious, and we know what he is thinking" replied Hazama. "But it would take four days, should FutureTech commit to an attack and invasion plan."
"This could be a dark time for the Empire Capital, the emperor and his son" replied Yanagida and he smirks. "They want to exact revenge, when we did that with our air force. Might as well, let them have it." The General nods, and they head back to their posts, waiting for what might come soon.
(Within the Village of Alnus.)
The group are now walking along the Village, and they are in their usual daytime clothing, and not their super hero attire. They can see that the village does have some good moments, and times. The people all seem friendly, and the JSDF police force is doing their good work.
They do spot the feathered siren woman, and she's doing her part to keeping the peace. This does make Lincoln smile. "At least the people here, are good enough to tolerate. I for one, have no intentions of making friends with whoever the hell is from that Imperial Capital."
They know that Lincoln might come up with a plan, to deal with the Emperor and his Crowned Prince Son. Peter Sharp then has an idea. "How about we go to the Tavern. We could use some calm times, and they have other drinks besides Alcohol."
They all agree, and head into the tavern, to enjoy some calm times, and perhaps get to know the folks who run the place. The folks who are friends with the JSDF.
