Izuku sat on the desk, bored out of his mind. Which, mind you, wasn't exactly an odd feeling for the seventeen year old almost-human. Generally, he had two modes since last spring break, those being bored, and running on adrenaline high. Of the two, he vastly preferred the latter but barely got any time with it.

But when he did, oh!

"Why do I get the feeling you're thinking about something masochistic?" Hitagi asked, the purple haired girl looking over at him.

"Because 90% of the time my only power is to be maimed horribly so might as well enjoy it," Izuku snarked back without any heat.

"Izuku," Hitagi sighed, but didn't say anything else. It was an exaggeration on Izuku's part. He had lost most of his powers when he regained his blood, but he was still an Oddity. And not just an Oddity, about less than one percent vampire most of the time, though that less-than-one-percent had also tied to his dormant Quirk Genes, making it so he had some functional vampiric traits even before he gave Shinobu some blood. He could rip a telephone pole from the ground, walk on walls, and regenerate from just about anything, but compared to a real vampire, or any Oddity in the mood to kill him; really, it was only his regeneration that kept him going.

And yes, if that led to him having a masochistic streak, what did it matter to anybody but him and Hitagi?

Speaking of which…

Izuku drew a pair of scissors that had pierced his lung from his chest, tossing them back at his girlfriend who caught them before storing them in her favorite place to hide her pocket dimension. Up her skirt.

"It's almost time for UA's Entrance Exam," Hitagi said, "are you going to go for the hero course?"

"I guess, if I'm gonna get Oddities after me either way, might as well help people while I'm at it."

"Then I'll go for it too." Hitagi said, "the others should be here soon, do you want to ask them?"

"I guess," Izuku said, listlessly.

Senjougahara Hitagi worried about her boyfriend sometimes. She wouldn't admit it in hearing of anyone other than him, but she really did. Ever since he had been told he couldn't be a hero by All Might, he had been depressed.

She could remember Izuku from before the incident, a Quirkless kid who was driven to be a Hero no matter how many times he had been pushed down by Bakugo and his lackeys… But she supposed it was a different shove when it was by the Number One Hero, well meant or not.

Or maybe it was about the monster he lived with. Izuku didn't really talk about his relationship with Shinobu, Hitagi knew neither forgave the other for what the other did, but they seemed happy enough living together. Sometimes, Hitagi wondered if the real reason Izuku couldn't go back to being human was because reducing a vampire, no, the Vampire, to a declawed, neutered being reliant on drinking his blood daily to survive wasn't something she could really call human.

Master and servant, who was who was blended to the point where maybe Izuku and Shinobu knew, but Hitagi couldn't tell.

"You're going into General Studies?" he asked Kanbaru and Hanekawa.

"It's probably best for us," Kanbaru said, shrugging, "we're not really determined to be fighters the way you are."

"Tell that to my intestines," Izuku said good naturedly, and Kanbaru winced.

"Please don't bring that up like that," Kanbaru begged, "I really don't like remembering it."

Yes, Hitagi supposed the memory of whipping around someone you now had feelings for by the intestines wasn't the best memory.

"Sorry, sorry," Izuku said, raising his hands.

"I'll try to go into heroics to stay with you," Hitagi said.

If Hitagi was honest, she expected the day Kabaru or Hanekawa asked to share Izuku, with the other coming shortly after. Such a thing wasn't unheard of in the world of Quirks or Oddities.

"You should get a replica of the Youtou Kokorowatari made," Hitagi suggested, referring to the Oddity Killing Sword.

Inko, as a parent, was torn about a lot of things having to do with her son, and it all started with their 'guest'. Oshino Shinobu.

To the average person, she looked like a blond haired, golden eyed foreign child, barely eight and playing on her Nintendo QuadS on the couch. As far as everyone, even her closest friend Mitsuki, knew she was an orphan Inko had adopted.

In reality, she was a vampire. Once, she had been the strongest, most dangerous vampire in the world, which, seeing as Vampires were the most unpredictable, dangerous Oddity in the world, made her the most dangerous Oddity in the world.

Everything changed when Izuku had shown, in equal measure, his kindness and his cruelty. He had saved Shinobu from death and then, just as easily and heartlessly, left her a crippled wreck. Shinobu had, more than once, expressed the opinion that death would have been more of a mercy then what Izuku had done to her.

Which made it all the more bizarre to see him sitting beside her, his own All Might themed QuadS in hand, as they coordinated in the game they were playing in a comfortable silence. Inko didn't get it, and maybe that was for the better, that the world of Oddities wasn't for her, but even beyond Hitagi, who had also joined their little family unit through the world of Oddities, Izuku wasn't closer to anyone in the world than Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. The one that had turned him into a monster, and the one he had destroyed.

She also didn't quite approve of Hitagi, more the fact that she stayed over basically every night. The girl had a caustic tongue, and the amount of times Inko had seen her threaten Izuku with school supplies ranging from protractors to staplers she pulled from under her skirt was enough to make any mother worry, even if Izuku seemed, if anything, excited at the prospect. Which was honestly more than Inko needed to know about her son's proclivities.

"You three? Dinner's ready."
