Human Excellence 6 - or 'In a world of acting, falsities, and space furries, a Human tries to survive as the Employee of the Month' (Rishan Galaxy Furry, Human!SI)

Tala was upset- And she was even more upset to know this was becoming a frequent thing for her.

Albeit she could understand the worry and concern (and logic) behind letting her stay at Massak's hut rather than stick to the two odd individuals, she was also very unwilling to let go of the one called John. Maybe she imprinted on him? She didn't feel so strongly about him, but she did feel like he was important and that she had to follow him.

There were so many questions within her mind. Some alternating between where these two oddly-armored individuals came from, but also how come John was unwilling to show his face and body to her-I mean, everyone!

Shaking her head as a teensy blush landed on her cheeks, the wolf girl decided that it was best to keep those for later. Right now, she was following John and 'Jan'. She knew now that they were like her, yet Jan didn't look like a Wolf or a Bear albeit showing some similarities with her kin.

Maybe they were 'close cousins' by race?

It was another question that weighted on Tala's mind as she pursued the duo, and she soon found them stopping and crouching over quite the sight: she had heard of those ferocious tribes by Massak as he explained both to her, Bailey and their 'outward guests'- but what she saw made her hesitant.

Tall and feral, ferocious at a glance and quick to violent bouts as some fighting came and ended suddenly and murderously among those mindless bipedal tribesman, Tala felt a hint of fear as she hoped they weren't planning to delve into that land. Sadly for her, she could pick up on the fact Jan was aiming a finger at one of the compounds.

It looked dark-gray in material, but also very... cubic. And oddly well-shaped compared to other buildings, especially due to its monumental size compared to the rest. Oddly so, the gas that was possibly behind the corruption was 'shying away' from the building itself, it was as if it was repelled by it or something alike.

Biting down a sigh, Tala was soon resuming her chase again, this time only with John as he advanced on his own. Something about him still having his full armor compared to Jan in relation to the gas.

This very last concern forced Tala to carefully climb on trees and keep herself away from the dangerous red smoke softly polluting the ground and the people. It took all her experience in moving through trees, a needed skill in her tribe to survive bigger warriors, to keep up with a most-untouched John as he calmly made it around the patrolling and grunting beasts, slipping right into the open entrance of the unusual building.

This is where Tala decided to do something quite risky, if not necessary to prolong the chase. She jumped... and landed on top of the building. The wolf girl had noticed a broken gated bit on the upper section and had seen vines barely keeping it put. Her trusty little knife was soon put to use, and she cut through the vines, allowing for the lingering cold metal to be removed and for a way in to be cleared.

Jumping inside, she screamed in a mixture of shock and strange euphoria as the ride curved and took her sliding around through the claustrophobic hole that seemed to be so smooth and so slippery that she could hardly stop by gripping on nearby edges.

Instead, her crazy wild ride ended with her finally slowing down and stopping right above another gated spot. She blinked, thinking how thankful she was still alive and-

CLANG!

The gate gave off under her weight and soon she fell onto a proper hall, the fall aching her butt which she promptly nursed and...

"What are you doing here?"

She didn't recognize the words, but the voice she sure did. And she flinched.

John was in front of her, confused and-

WOOOOOOORGH!

A loud noise erupted all around as the door which John came from closed behind him and the white hall turned red due to the lights changing to such color.

She couldn't see John's face, but Tala flinched a bit more as she could feel a whole lot of disappointment and annoyance aimed at her.

And she couldn't fault John for thinking that with how things were shaping.

I was upset. I want to say I was just tense and disappointed, but I was upset that this dummy wolf had just done something that may or may have not killed me and Janko.

While nothing bad came after the alarm and the doors confined us within the cube-shaped structure, that didn't mean that the monsters outside the compound weren't going zoomy over the loud noise. I really hoped my superior was not going to die because of Tala, because I would be very much set to not pick her off this planet- even more than I was before this whole mess unfolded.

Still, I couldn't exactly waste time. Ignoring her flinching, I helped her up and told two simple words she seemed to understand.

"Follow me."

She nodded, still tense as she kept behind me while I led the small group deeper in what I had hoped to be the location of the Jammer. It fit with the style of the structure- it was modern. Not just the design, but the material and the overall sterilization room I passed through before getting in that hall.

The alarm and the current red-colored lights pretty much sold me on the idea this used to be some secret base set up by someone in the Galactic Federation that went around the Intergalactic Laws.

Which wasn't the Kaltrician Empire because we would have known and... none of this matched with any known design adopted by the Empire itself.

This was totally new, very different than stuff I knew beyond Kaltricia and also... familiar. There was a eerie sense behind the structure that made me feel like I have seen something of this kind before..

And as we continued to move through the structure, I got a very weird vibe that I wasn't going to like what was waiting at the end of this open corridor. All doors around, on the sides, and even some in the front as we took to turn corners, were closed. Not all doors were closed, which is why I could tell we were being shepherded somewhere.

That place turned out to be some sort of dark room with a central terminal. The terminal itself was a large orb that stood without nothing beneath or above it. It had a print on it, shaped like hand. I stared at those for a moment, tried to use my gauntlet hand to activate it but it didn't recognize me.

Need Proper Skin!

It was... English. Fuck.

I looked at Tala, she was looking around and clearly not looking in my direction and I slipped the gauntlet for my right arm so I could use my exposed hand. It stung for a moment, burned even, but soon the entire room and terminal came to life.

Gasping, the wolf girl found herself mesmerized by the lights surrounding us while I swiftly put my gauntlet back. The room turned into a round space-related display, stars and planets soon popping up as it felt like we were no longer standing on solid ground- we weren't as gravity was manipulated and we were soon floating.

And then she appeared.

Above a moon, the feminine figure emerged softly.

She was thin and yet clearly womanly in her lupine frame. A long mane of hair behind her as her semi-transparent skin and fur allowed for nebulas and an aurora borealis to crown her as the primary source of awe within that sight. She was wearing something, a pelvic curtain of fine white cloth and a strapless bra-like cloth by her breasts.

"Greetings... Reclaimer."

Oh God, this is becoming Halo really fast.

"To think that I would have found myself finding a proper human after so long and... with an unawakened Guardian."

She turned to Tala, the Wolf Girl confused as she didn't understand a word. The 'Spirit' seemed to notice this, her fingers snapping as Tala went stiff and white lines, akin to those on the 'spirit' started to manifest over her fur and skin.

At a first glance, one could dismiss those as ritual painting, but this was more than this. It looked like some of the 'bio-data' circuiting I have seen some AI do with biological creatures to alter their biology.

"W-What is this?" Tala spokeand I understood her.

"She made you able to understand us, I think," I remarked, and the wolf girl's ears perked up at this.

"R-Really? Thank you, Spirit."

"You are welcome, Child of Denali-"

"She is not a spirit," I flatly rejected, causing the 'spirit' to smile. "Seriously, who dropped an AI and a structure of this kind on this planet? Denali is isolated by intergalactic law."

The Spirit chuckled. "Apologies, Reclaimer. But these laws you mention are not concerningourConglomerate. For Humanity is not part of such Organization."

...

"Who are you?"

She giggled and then suddenly appeared in front of me, looking up at my face... as my helmet suddenly was lifted away.

"I am Aurora, oh Reclaimer. And I am yours to command~."

AN

And things got complicated. A lot. First for young, very impressionable and horny wolf girl, and now with wolf woman AI that is twice as thirsty and yet very persuasive.
