Connecting with a Neverbeast
Sora: What happened? Is everyone alrigh...
Sora slowly sits up and notices the events that were occuring around him. Gruff was still under Larxene's evil dark spell. Each fairy was playing a part in order to protect him. He wonders how long he was out for. Larxene had vanished.
Fawn: NO BAD GRUFF! BAD GRUFF!
Tinkerbell: DO NOT CAME ANY CLOSER!
Sora slowly sits up, his whole body ached. He placed his hand on his left cheek and gasped at the blood on his hand. At times like this he wished Donald was around to heal him as he didn't have any healing potions himself in his inventory.
Sora: So this is what severe pain feels like but it is not going to overpower me today!
He gets on to his feet, feeling the wobbley-ness in his legs. So he tries to fly instead. Thankfully they were still functional.
Fawn: Please! Please! We mustn't hurt him!
Tinkerbell: Fawn's right we need to be gentle with him!
Iridessa: but how? Our powers don't seem to be working too well?
Vidya: Got a better idea?
Silvermist: Not even my water magic is helping! Animals normally love water!
Rosetta: OOhhh how are we going to break this awful spell!
Sora: Would you like me to give it a try ladies?
All Six Fairies: SORA!?
Sora looks down at all of the fairies from the air. Dark Gruff thought this would be a great opportunity to take a swipe at the fairies.
Sora: WATCH OUT!
Sora gives Dark Gruff a smack on his paw with the keyblade.
Iridessa: That was a close one!
Vidya: I flew faster out of the way then any of you!
Tinkerbell: Oh be quiet Vidya! Now is not the time to talk about your fast flying skills!
Sora: She's right! We all need to keep in the air as it appears Dark Gruff...
Fawn: GRUFF!
Sora: Gruff is unable to fly...
Dark Gruff: GGGGGRRRRRRRRR
Rosetta: Oh no i think we made him angrier!
Sora: We need to give it all we've got ladies! Together we might just be able to defeat him!
All but one fairy was afraid.
Tinkerbell: Yeah Sora is right! We cannot have Gruff continue in the state he's in, we need to make him good again! We need to work as a team! Come on girls!
Sora: Thanks Tink! Fawn, i have an idea, i need you for a special project! Your an animal fairy right?
Fawn: Yes!
Sora: and i understand you do not wish to hurt him
Fawn: Yes...that's right...
Sora: I want all of you to distract him with your special talents, tease him and Fawn since your an animal fairy, you might be able to connect back with him!
Fawn: What do you mean?
Sora: Try talking to him!
Vidya: Seriously? Try and talk to Gruff when he is in this state?
Everyone: SHHHHHHHH!
Sora: We can at least try! Try talking to him, tell him a story if you have too. Think of the way he was before this spell and connect with him again. I know you will find it deep within your heart. Right here!
Sora places his hand on his heart, showing Fawn that he believes in her. She nods agreeing to Sora's instruction.
Sora: If only Donald and Goofy could see me now
Fawn: What's that?
Sora: Oh nothing, go for it Fawn!
Tinkerbell: Yeah you go for it Fawn!
Iridessa: You go girl!
Fawn slowly flies down towards Dark Gruff while everyone else watched on nervously. She lands just a few meters away and it notices her while trying to jump in the air to get the others.
Fawn: Gruff, its me Fawn, do you remember me?
Dark Gruff: GRRRR
Fawn: Gruff, please stop this, this is not you! Remember! I found you in a cave and you had a large thorn in your paw.
Dark Gruff: RUFF?
Fawn: You are not vicious
Sora: That's it Fawn, keep connecting to him!
Fawn: You are not a terrifying creature, Gruff...please come back! Your my friend!
Sora: FAWN! GET AWAY!
Fawn got out of the away in time. Dark Gruff shook & stuggled. Its eyes were jammed shut and it lifted its paws towards it head.
Rosetta: What's happening to him?
Sora: I think Dark Gruff is beginning to realise who he really is...just a little more talking to him Fawn.
Tinkerbell: Let's all talk to him!
Everyone agreed and did their best to say something nice to the Neverbeast even Sora who had only just met him. They all watched as his yellow eyes change to an emerald green, the freaky big wings disappear and his teeth & horns shrink to size. The dark purple mist around him also disappeared.
Fawn: He's coming back!
Gruff collapsed and Fawn flew down to aid him while the rest of the fairies and Sora cheered. Sora was so relieved that his idea worked, it at least took his mind of his injuries. He flew down towards Fawn and Gruff, smiled and then fainted.
Everyone: SORA!
