Val did not quite find all the trips to the spa helpful, even if Bulma insisted they would be therapeutic for the both of them. Val did like that it got her away from Vegeta, who belittled her moping over a weakling until she snapped at him for it and called him a spoiled princeling. After that, he had been quieter, but half the time she found it insufferable to be around his very presence.
The spa trips were nice in that, but it also pulled Val away from researching and training, which made her feel split between the two where she would never be as good a fighter a Vegeta, and never as brilliant as Bulma. She wanted to focus on getting stronger for when the androids came, but she also wanted to take the anti viral meds and replicate them with Earthling materials for when the heart virus came. Both were going to kill so many people, people she cared about, herself even. Yet to achieve both goals in tandem seemed fleeting.
On the last day trip to the spa, Val planned to keep trying to split her time between goals anyway, but unsure where to train now. Research was still doable, anywhere if need be. Training was a harder beast to manage. She missed her brothers on New Namek, wishing they were still around to train with her. By herself would be less fruitful. Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu were out of the question. Her first thought was Piccolo, but she worried she would not be able to keep up with him, Goku, and Gohan, especially with how she trained half as much as them. She considered Kami, but worried that he would ask her to be guardian yet again, which she did not think possible to add a third goal into the mix when she could barely juggle two in tandem. Her mind landed on asking Krillin and training with Master Roshi, who seemed harmless but a bit too crude for her taste. If her father was still alive, he disapprove of her being around and training with someone like that.
She sighed quietly to herself, landing on her decision and debating how to broach the issue with Krillin.
