Isabella Hartley turned into a koi the day she received a gift from Rikki Chadwick.
A small jade pendant in the shape of a koi. Two pretty marbles were on either side of it.
They soaked into her skin the moment the necklace was laid on her skin.
She never changed unwillingly again and when she dove into the ocean one day missing her tail, then she transformed.
A beautiful koi tail. Her hair white with streaks of orange like her tail.
And when her world ended, she was given a second chance (just like Rikki had, unbeknownst to the both of them).
Darkness surrounded her except a glowing orange orb in front of her which shifted into words floating in front of her face.

She had enjoyed her life after becoming a koi. Why not? She pressed the first option.

Bella woke in a new place. First thing she noticed was her hair was no longer blonde, it was white with orange like her koi form. Feeling her face quickly she was thankful it felt the same. She was dressed in cargo like pants and a T-shirt and duster with boots on her feet. She looked over the campsite and noticed no one had noticed her yet.
She should leave before anyone did.
She left behind the small encampment and found herself in a barren desert. She looked back to where she left and wondered if this was even a good idea. They wouldn't know who she was though and no doubt they'd retaliate defensively...that and someone had murdered the person she traded places with.
She kept walking feeling as the heat soaked her through, a sweat on the back of her neck and the sun beat down on her head.
Staring out at the stark desert she wondered if she had made the wrong choices. Just as she was about to head back...
[System initializing...]
A transparent screen appeared before her and a female voice with a slight East Asian accent... Bella couldn't figure out exactly where from though.
[System bonded...Hello I am your "Interstellar Live-streaming System", you may call Ilss for short. What would you like to be called?]
Isabella Hartley felt different, and she was going to be different in this life maybe she could go with something familiar but not the same.
"You can call me Belle."
[Excellent!]
There was a pause.
[Planetary Resource Marbles Detected]
"What?"
She felt a weight at her throat and saw the necklace from long before just minus the jade pendant. "These?" She pointed at the necklace marbles.
[One Sea and One Oasis detected.]
[Would you like to be teleported to a non-inhabited part of the desert to no destroy any lifeforms when the marbles are activated?]
"Yes!" The idea of accidentally killing someone terrified her.
A white light surrounded her just as she heard shouts behind her only to disappear from the group's sight.
In an even more desolate spot of the desert, newly named Belle arrived.
"Ok...how do I activate the sea?
[Throw the sea blue marble where you want the shore to begin.]
Looking around and not seeing any better spot than right before her. Taking the sea blue marble from her necklace she threw the marble as far as she could throw it. It only went about 40 ft. A shhhh sound came and before her eyes a massive sea formed, she watched as the tide slowly came out to her feet.
"Wow. Is the sea just water and not sea life?"
[Regular sea life from Earth are included.]
"How big is this sea?"
[This ocean was taken from your Pacific Ocean from Earth it is at least 50 million sq miles and can get as deep as 10k feet.]
Belle couldn't help but look forward to exploring this sea.
"There was that much unlivable desert?"
[Indeed this planet is quite large.]
"What's included in the Oasis marble?"
[There are two options with the Oasis marble. You can have it as your own personal oasis or deposit it here and it would grow one in the desert.]
"How can it be my personal oasis?"
[By swallowing the remaining marble, a pocket of inter-dimensional space will be tied to your being. You will be able to access by thought.]
That was tempting, someplace that was just hers not accessible by the others that inhabited the planet. No worries about her oasis being stolen by a team coming across it.
[The Oasis includes a basic one room home with basic technology; plumbing and solar electricity. Natural spring lake and waterfall. Farmable land and small forest.]
Looking at the green marble, she took a breath before swallowing it. Her day had been so weird. It went down slowly which almost made her panic but it went down eventually. She felt a warmth spread through her before she closed her eyes and opened them to find her no longer standing before a see but a small cabana like cabin home. The sound of a waterfall in the back, a light warm breeze rustled her hair and the trees surrounding the lake and cabin. It was like a little paradise.
"Ilss, can you tell me more about you can do?"
[I am a system administrator who will guide you throw missions. During these missions you will be recorded and the live stream will be sent intergallactically to multiple planets who have access to live entertainment.]
"Will I be able to control when I go live?"

Belle understood the basics of live-streaming having had done some to promote her singing career back on Earth.

[Yes. As a koi, your interaction with your viewers will be of utmost importance for the more luck you impart with good results the more points you will get.]
So she was a lucky koi, that was interesting. She'd come to that later, probably.

Belle sighed in relief. She had been worried she wouldn't be able to eat until se could go for a swim and catch some fish.
Still, she hoped for her first mission she would get to explore the sea. She hadn't gone for a swim in what felt like forever.
