Chapter 17: Wings of Love
Eduardo was flying alongside his wife Sapphire in the jungle, both of them happy that they could be spending time with each other again after years of being separated. Sapphire was enjoying her life now at its fullest. She did not just reunite with her husband and the tribe, but also her long-lost daughter and found out her family had expanded to a son-in-law and even 3 grandchildren.
"It's so great to be back with you, Eddie." Sapphire said happily.
"Indeed, it is, Sapphire." Eduardo replied happily. "What do you wish to do today?"
Sapphire thought for a moment and said: "I wish to see how Carla and her 'uncles' are doing with the auditions; I mean she is working hard and the Carnival show is right around the corner."
Eduardo happily applied to the wishes of his wife and together they flew about 13 minutes until they found their oldest granddaughter with Nico, Pedro, Rafael and Eva.
"Pop-pop, Granny Sapphie!" Carla said happily.
"There is our musical loving granddaughter." Eduardo said proudly, hugging Carla.
"Good morning, Eduardo and Sapphire." Eva said. "What brings the two of you here today?"
"We wanted to see how our eldest granddaughter could manage the auditions with her other musical 'uncles' and her 'aunt'." Sapphire said.
"Oh, your granddaughter is truly a marvel to behold when it comes to dancing and singing, ma'am. When she lived in city Rio, she would inspire all birds at the samba club so much that they wouldn't stop dancing until they were completely exhausted." Nico said, complimenting on Carla's qualities and skills.
"Oh, and don't forget that beside her singing and dancing, she has a very loving personality." a voice said from behind.
"Renaldo!" Carla said as she hugged her boyfriend, and they kissed passionately.
"Ah." Sapphire said. "Love. Remember when we first fell in love, Eddie?"
"Ah, yes, those are days I won't forget." Eduardo said happily.
"Speaking of love, have you two ever danced under a song of love?" Rafael asked both Eduardo and Sapphire.
They both thought for a moment, but then Sapphire was the first one to remember.
"Oh, yes we do." Sapphire said.
"Did we?" Eduardo said.
"Yes. Don't you recall how we would sing and dance on it countless time?" Sapphire asked.
Eduardo was thinking heavily, not knowing what she meant.
"Does Wings of Love not ring a bell?" Sapphire asked.
Eduardo's eyes suddenly widened. Of course! How could he forget about that song?
Suddenly, Blu, Jewel, Mimi, Tiago and Bia came.
"Morning, mommy and daddy." Jewel said happily.
"Morning, my little girl and all the others, Sapphire and I just went to sing something."
"Y-, you do?" Blu asked.
"Which song?" Mimi asked curiously.
"You'll see, Mimi." Sapphire said with a smile on her face.
The two stepped onto the stone podium and every performer paid close attention.
Verse 1 (Eduardo):
In the moonlight's gentle glow, we found our way,
(He extends a wing towards Sapphire, stepping closer.)
(Mimi (excitingly leaning towards Blu): "Oh, I remember this song."
Through the whispers of the night, we learned to say.
(He twirls gently, his eyes never leaving hers.)
With every beat of our hearts, our love took flight,
(They meet in the center, wings touching.)
Together we'll soar, into the endless night.

(Sapphire steps forward, brushing her wing against Eduardo's cheek.)

(She twirls under Eduardo's wing, gracefully.)

(They join wings, swaying together.)

(They lift their wings together, creating a heart shape.)

(He takes Sapphire's wing, and they walk in a circle.)

(She looks deeply into his eyes, touching his face.)

(They embrace, resting their heads together.)

(They twirl together, perfectly in sync.)

(They slow down, ending the dance in an embrace.)

(They hold each other close, wings wrapped around each other.)
And when the song ended, the two embraced each other into a passionate kiss.
The crowd erupted in applause for the great performance that had just been given by the chieftain and chieftainess.
"Eduardo, Sapphire, that was an amazing love song!" Eva beamed.
"Thank you all, it was a song we invented not long after we got together." Sapphire said.
Carla, Pedro, Nico, Eva and Rafael then whispered something to each other.
Carla eventually spoke up.
"Pop-pop, Granny Sapphie, we have just decided that the two of you can sing this song in the Carnival show next week!" Carla exclaimed happily.
The crowd erupted into a roar of excitement, with Eduardo and Sapphire looking extremely happy to each other. For them there couldn't be a greater honor than to sing their love song at one of the most wildly celebrated festivals in Brazil.
