Earlier in Gym Gamma...

Midoriya and Skylar spread out, giving themselves some room to get ready. Midoriya shook off this weird feeling that came over him. He tried to ignore his dream that he had as he shook his hands. He stretched a bit before turning around to face her. Once he spotted her, he got chills again. Something about her presence got more intimidating for some reason. They hadn't even started sparring yet.

He ignored this feeling and got ready to spar with her. Once he got ready, he noticed her getting in a fighting stance as well. She didn't activate her quirk or anything as he activated his own. Green sparks went off all around him as he got ready to launch after her. He stared her down as she stood there as well.

He didn't let his guard down, and then he launched at her. Skylar didn't dare make a move as he launched right for her. At the last minute, her eyes glowed blue. He was only mere inches away from her hitting him in the face before he ducked under her arm. He sped away from her, but then used the wall behind her as leverage to launch after her. She seemed to be thrown off by that, but quickly dodged his punch. He threw another punch, but she avoided it so well. They went at it as Skylar tried to land a powerful punch at him. He somehow found himself knocking it away from him, feeling that energy coming off of her fist. The energy was so strong that he felt a powerful wind blow past him.

Before he could keep going, Skylar swiped her arm away from him. He tried to send a fist her way, but she quickly dodged him. Before he knew it, she grabbed his arm and swung him over her. He landed on the ground, feeling the wind get knocked out of him. She held his arm as if she wasn't done yet with the fight. He couldn't get a moment to gather himself as she threw a punch at him. His eyes widened in shock and tried to get away from her. He got up, but she still tried to keep him close.

Skylar kept sparring and punching as he tried to avoid her. He barely had any time to activate his quirk again as she kept going at it. He almost got her, but then she swiped her legs underneath him right when she noticed him activating his quirk. He fell to the ground, completely out of breath and speechless to how quick she was on her feet.

He looked up and noticed that she wasn't done. Her eyes were glowing blue and even sparking more than usual. Her glare gave him chills, reminding him of that dream that he had recently. Something about her felt so different in that moment. Even her quirk felt like something that he had faced before. He didn't know her, but something about it felt familiar.

Before he could collect himself, she went in for a punch. He could tell that she wasn't holding back with her sparring, but stumbled as he avoided her powerful punch. The ground rumbled from her surging punch, and his eyes widened in shock. It was just as strong as the punch before they started sparring. She still had a lot of energy stored inside of her somehow. The gym rumbled, catching everyone's attention.

Skylar looked up at Midoriya, which made him freeze in place. He tried to get up, but she threw a punch again. He avoided her, but she kept going. He tried to dodge and weave, but he got hit a couple of times. He tried to activate One for All, but she was fast.

"Skylar. Stop," Midoriya said to her.

Once he got a grip on it, he grabbed her arms in midair. She locked eyes with him and that seemed to snap her out of it. He was breathing heavily, trying to catch his breath.

"Skylar. Please stop," Midoriya said back, "I think that's enough sparring for now. I need to catch my breath."

"I thought you wanted to spar with me," Skylar said to him, "My father always told me to never hold back during a sparring match."

Then he noticed that she wasn't even out of breath. She was still fine and barely breaking a sweat, which shocked him. He held her wrists in his hands, feeling that energy all around her arms. It felt so heavy and chilling that it threw him off completely. Something about her felt so different just now. Even her blue eyes looked different as he stared at her.

Everyone was now watching them spar, especially Mr. Aizawa and AllMight. He got his scarf ready just in case Skylar went too far.

"Skylar. You need to give Midoriya a break," Mr. Aizawa demanded, "He's clearly out of breath."

Skylar locked eyes with him, and she looked like she finallly realized what was going on. Something about her seemed somewhat frustrated about something. Then her eyes stopped glowing, and she relaxed a little. He let go of her and tried to catch his breath. He looked up at Skylar and noticed her looking like she was in shock. Something about her seemed like she realized something, but he couldn't tell what.

"I-I'm... I'm sorry Izuku... This is why I need to hold back," Skylar said to him without looking at him.

Midoriya felt bad for her and almost reached out to her. Before he could say or do anything, she left Gym Gamma.

In Class 2-A's dormitory...

Midoriya and everyone else settled down in the common room, feeling absolutely exhausted. The only one that was more exhausted than the rest was Midoriya. He looked so tired from fighting Skylar that he could fall asleep on the couch at any moment. Something about her quirk made him feel even more exhausted. He knew that already, but he still couldn't keep his eyes open for much longer.

"Izuku. Maybe you should go to bed," Uraraka told him.

Midoriya snapped out of it and looked around to see Adrien here as well. Adrien and Chloe came over for dinner, and now they were all settling down for the night. He looked around to see Skylar no where to be found. He felt bad for her and knew that she was feeling a little embarrassed being around everyone.

After what happened with Midoriya, she could barely eat dinner. She ate some of it, but then left saying that she was tired from hero training. He could tell that she was trying to avoid him. He knew why, but something about the look on her face seemed to be distant for some reason. He wanted to go up to her dorm room to talk to her, but he figured that she might be asleep by now.

"N-No. I'm okay," Midoriya said through tired eyes, "I'm just a little out of it from hero training. That's all."

"Dude. That sparring match was insane," Kaminari said to him, "Who knew Skylar could maneuver around that fast?"

"Yeah. I couldn't look away from the fight," Ashido said to him, "It was like she knew where you were going to swing a punch every time."

Midoriya tried to wake up, but still felt exhausted.

"Clearly she's trained before. She even said that her and her father trained together whatever that means," Midoriya said to them, "She seems to know hand to hand combat really well. She was just really hard to keep up with. I barely had the chance to activate my quirk."

"I could tell. She was not giving you any room to recover," Iida said to him, "If you ask me, she shouldn't have been so harsh with you for your first sparring match."

Midoriya still felt bad for her, remembering what she told him. She clearly wasn't allowed to go outside of her father's strict rules, even for training. Even with her father not a part of this training, he still felt like she was listening to him. Something about her eyes back there gave him chills as he thought about it some more.

"I don't think she's used to sparring with anyone else," Midoriya said to them, "I mean, clearly her father is strict about these sort of things. She probably was only allowed to fight a certain way. It feels like she was taught to hold back her full power. For whatever reason, I feel like it's a strategic move."

Everyone was confused as to why her father would teach her things like this. Whoever her father was, he was clearly really good at strategies and combat skills.

"It seems odd that her father would treat her like this. Then again, her quirk is pretty strong," Yaoyorozu said to them, "Maybe he has a pretty strong quirk as well. Who knows, maybe he's a pro hero of some sort."

"I'm not surprised. My father was the same way when it came to training," Todoroki told them, clearly a little shy to talk about it, "He was always telling me when to train and how to use my quirk. It's not that surprising considering how powerful her quirk is."

Midoriya forgot about Todoroki's family situation and felt bad for him. He hesitated to look at him, feeling like he should've known that he would bring this up.

"Sorry Todoroki. I didn't mean to bring up old memories," Midoriya said to him.

"It's fine," Todoroki said as he let out a sigh, "It's nothing you need to worry about. Endeavor may be a terrible father, but he's got nothing on me. Skylar on the other hand seems to be stuck even if she's away from him."

Midoriya looked at the elevator, hoping that she would come back down. She never showed up.

All of a sudden, Midoriya felt a weird dizziness come over him. He knew that he was tired, but he didn't think that he was this exhausted. Something about it felt off and tried to shake it off. For some reason, that seemed to make it much worse.

"Midoriya, you should really get some rest," Iida told him, "Clearly you're exhausted."

Midoriya tried to shake off this feeling again, but felt himself begin to pass out. Uraraka stopped him from falling over, which caught everyone's attention. For a moment, Midoriya thought that Skylar's quirk was doing this to him. But then he felt this weird familiar feeling come over him.

He felt like something was wrong with Marinette.

"Izuku, are you okay?" Uraraka asked him, "Skylar's quirk must've really done a number to you."

"N-No... Something's wrong..." Midoriya told them, "Marinette... She's hurt..."

Everyone's eyes widened in shock, and Adrien was looking even more worried than anyone else here. Midoriya felt a weird dizziness come over him and even like he got hit right in the stomach. It was more subtle, but he knew that she got hurt pretty badly. The dizziness however wasn't letting up, and he could barely stay conscious.

"Marinette's hurt? What do you mean she's hurt?" Uraraka asked him, "How would you even know that, unless..."

Everyone shared a look and then looked at Midoriya who was feeling dizzy. They even looked at Adrien, which made him flinch a little. He nervously laughed as he scratched the back of his head.

"Well, it's possible that me and Marinette have One for All again..." Adrien explained to them, "I could feel it this morning. I have a feeling that Marinette did to. I haven't even gotten the chance to talk to her about it yet."

"What?!" Class 2-A cried out in unison.

"Adrien. You two shouldn't be keeping this a secret from any of us," Iida said to him, "This is important to know. Whatever happened to Marinette, it's effecting Midoriya as well."

Adrien's eyes widened in shock, worried about his girlfriend. He looked at Midoriya and noticed him looking like he might pass out at any moment. Whatever happened to Marinette, he worried about what kind of condition that she was in. She never called him, which made him worry even more. Without hesitation, he grabbed his phone out of his pocket. He quickly pressed onto her contact number, hoping that she would pick up.

"Come on Marinette... Pick up..." Adrien said to himself, "Please pick up..."

It kept ringing, which frustrated him even more. Everyone was just as worried as him as Midoriya was given a cup of water to stay awake. They had to make sure Marinette was okay to understand why Midoriya was acting this way. Adrien soon heard her voice, making him relax a little.

"Adrien? It's nice to hear from you. I've been meaning to talk to you actually," Marinette said over the phone.

Adrien looked over at Midoriya, worried about him and Marinette.

"Marinette. Thank goodness you answered. Are you okay? I had a feeling that you were hurt," Adrien asked her with concern in his voice.

She paused for a moment, which got him worried. He almost ran off towards the portal just to make sure she was okay for a moment there.

"W-Why would you think that? I'm fine Adrien," Marinette said to him with a nervous tone, "I'm just a little tired. That's all."

Adrien gave her a suspicious glare through the phone, knowing full well that she was lying to him. He didn't understand why she would lie to him, but he could tell that something was wrong. He looked over at Midoriya, and he was still struggling to stay awake. He had to know if she was lying or not for his sake.

"Marinette. Don't lie to me," Adrien said to her, "Something's wrong. Izuku can barely stay awake because of whatever happened with you. It's possible that One for All is coming back for you. I just know it."

She paused for a moment, and he knew that he got through to her. Something was wrong with her. He wanted to run over to the portal just to check on her, make sure she was okay.

"Please don't get upset, but I might've gotten caught up in a fight," Marinette said to him, "There were two thieves that I tried to deal with myself. They were a lot stronger than I expected. I may have gotten a mild concussion from it. My stomach and back hurt pretty badly as well, but I'll be fine. I just need some rest is all. Don't worry, I won't go to bed until this passes."

Adrien's eyes widened in shock and knew that this was why Midoriya felt so dizzy. He knew that Skylar's hero training didn't exactly help either. He looked at everyone, and they looked concerned for him and Marinette.

"You have a mild concussion? Because of a fight?" Adrien said out loud with everyone to hear, "But, how? Your Miraculous should've protected you from something like this."

Everyone was shocked, but understood why Midoriya was feeling so dizzy. He took a sip of water, hoping that this wouldn't last very long.

"Yeah well, those thieves put up a pretty good fight believe it or not," Marinette explained to him.

Adrien didn't know if she was hiding something from him or not. Something about her seemed off, like she was hiding something from him. He wanted to know what was going on or else he might actually consider going back over there.

"Adrien. I know what you're thinking. Don't come over here just to help out. Staying in U.A. is important to you," Marinette said to him, "Me and Alya can handle this. She'll handle things a bit. I'll get some rest once this goes away, and I'll be fine. Just make sure Izuku is okay. Whatever's going on with One for All, I'm sure we can figure this out together."

"But... Marinette," Adrien said to her through the phone.

"Please don't come over here. Whatever's going on with the portal and Class 2-A, you can't risk information leaking out," Marinette reminded him, "You need to stay in U.A. We'll figure things out soon enough. If anything, this is the best way that you can help us. Keep an eye on the portal and make sure there isn't anything suspicious going on at U.A."

Adrien hesitated but soon nodded, determined to help her out in any way that he could.

"Alright milady. Just... please be careful," Adrien said to her, "I don't want you getting hurt while I'm not there. If something happens to you again, I'm coming over as soon as I can."

He could hear Marinette letting out a long sigh.

"Fine. I just... I need you to be careful too," Marinette said to him, "Things are different over there in Japan. Is there anything else that I should know about?"

Adrien thought about it for a moment and instantly thought about Skylar. He didn't know why, but he wondered if she was anyone to worry about. Then again, she's been doing pretty good as of lately. Hero training was a little crazy, but there was no reason for her to know about that. He looked at Midoriya, and he seemed to be less dizzy.

"No. Everything's fine over here," Adrien told her, "What about Ember? Is she coming over here soon? Maybe we should prepare the portal to bring her back over here."

"Not yet. I need to make sure things are okay with you guys first. If this portal is that risky, I can't have her letting out more information. Whatever's going on with it, we need to be careful whenever we use it," Marinette explained to him, "Let me talk to her first. I'll see what I can do for her once I feel better."

"Alright. Stay safe milady," Adrien said as a blush formed around his face.

"You too kitty. I'll talk to you soon," Marinette said through the phone.

Marinette hung up, making Adrien let out a sigh. He turned around to see Midoriya looking a little better. Everyone was sharing confused and shocked looks on their faces. Something about it threw Adrien off a bit, and he wondered why they were concerned.

"Why didn't you tell her about Skylar?" Iida asked him.

"Why would I tell her about Skylar? She's not doing anything wrong," Adrien told them, "Besides, it's not like she's trying to hurt anyone."

He locked eyes with Midoriya unintentionally, which made him flinch. He scratched the back of his head, feeling a little embarrassed in that moment.

"So-Sorry. Maybe that was a little too soon," Adrien said to him, "I just think that she's been through a lot. She clearly went through a different kind of training than all of us. Even I and Chloe didn't get any special training like you guys. Maybe we should give her a break."

They all shared a look that seemed to relax Adrien a bit. Once he noticed Midoriya, he knew that he didn't take what happened between him and Skylar personally. What happened between them was just hero training that went a little too far.

"I understand," Midoriya said back, "I didn't expect her to be so strong back there, but I knew that she'd at least be able to hold her own to some degree. I just... there was something about her though... something that seemed familiar..."

Everyone was confused by that comment, and even Adrien was a little interested in what he to say.

"Izuku, what do you mean? You don't know her, do you?" Uraraka asked her, "I mean, maybe you just bumped into her at the mall or something."

Adrien noticed Midoriya looking at his hand, but his eyes were distant. Something about him seemed off like he was thinking about that fight back there in Gym Gamma. Everyone seemed just as interested in what he had to say. Even Bakugo seemed to be somewhat listening to what was going on.

"Something about her quirk does seem somewhat familiar," Bakugo told them, "I felt like I've seen something like it before, but I couldn't pinpoint where or how I know about it."

"That's just it. She herself doesn't seem all that familiar. It's her quirk," Midoriya said back, "It's just so specific and unique. Even while I was fighting her, her quirk felt like something that I went up against. But... that just doesn't make any sense. If her quirk is that unique, I feel like I wouldn't have noticed anything like that."

Everyone was now really confused at this point. Adrien wasn't around when they went through all of those things with the League of Villains, but he knew that it was pretty tough on them. He couldn't help but look at Bakugo, knowing full well what happened during their first summer camp together. For a moment, Bakugo looked at him, and Adrien instinctively looked away.

"Ugh! My brain hurts!" Kaminari cried out, "This whole thing with Skylar is throwing me off completely."

"Shut up idiot!" Jirou whisper yelled, "You don't want her coming in hearing you talk like that. She would demolish you so easily even without your quirk."

"Yeah. Didn't you see her beat Bakugo so easily during that arm wrestling match? She'd snap your arm like a twig," Sero told him with a slight smirk.

Kaminari hugged his arms and backed up a step, remembering how easily she defeated Bakugo. Adrien noticed Bakugo looking a little annoyed with that comment.

"Hey. She only beat me because she threw me off," Bakugo growled at them, "I could easily beat her if I really wanted to."

Adrien watched everyone gaining up on Bakugo, but noticed Midoriya looking a little confused. He was still contemplated on what happened with Skylar. Uraraka comforted him, so he backed off a bit. Whatever happened between them, he knew that Midoriya needed some space.

All Adrien knew was that things between them and Skylar might be more complicated than they first thought.

Another amazing chapter!

This was a fun one to write. I like the way hero training turned out. Midoriya and Skylar were really going all out, but mostly Skylar. She was trained differently, so she kind of got caught up in the moment. Midoriya barely had any time to even use his quirk, which I wanted to point out with how different her quirk is still. Her quirk is always activated considering what her quirk can do. She just needs to get it ready when she's using it, that what the blue glowing is. Adrien and Midoriya were starting to wonder about One for All and what Marinette is up to. I didn't want anyone to go over to Paris or Japan for a while, but things will definitely get interesting.

What's going to happen next??

More to come soon!
