Chapter 6- an unexpected guest

"There are enough humans on earth to fill the entirety of Texas" - Resigned security guard.

The water below the bridge heading towards the open fields has been reported contaminated, some kind of disease from decomposed animals had been reported in the local news, Gregory being very familiar with the structures history, was not surprised at all. Gregory had had a very strange couple of months, it was as if something had changed without him noticing what it was in actuality.

The Megaplex was quiet, As it normally was this early in the morning, but something did seem out of order, perhaps it was just a gut feeling, but he had a bad feeling about something he did not know what was. Ever since he had been introduced to Sun he had been scared to wander around in the dark, but not tonight for some reason. He came across the daycare area, "should i pay Moon a visit?" he thought to himself.

5 minutes later

"Hey Moon" , the robot that had the coolest outfit Gregory had seen until now, turned around in one sweeping motion. "Well, well, well, what have we here?" Moon teased, he made a weird smile that was supposed to make Gregory run, but Gregory had some questions for the night enjoyer. Moon stopped smiling and looked at him like he was confused, "wait, are you not gonna run and hide?" Gregory shook his head and sat down on the nearest brick. Moon looked both sadistic, but also something else, concerned.

"What… What is it kid?" Moon looked flabbergasted at the sight of a child not running at the sight of him. "You do know that i have been running from you a dozen times already", "i'm not really scared of you anymore to be honest" Moon nodded "yeah i guess you get used to it huh?". Gregory nodded and smiled, "yeah, you do" .. "At first i thought you wanted to kill me" Moon looked surprised at him "look kid, Moon is just my design" Moon folded his hands "it is actually pretty hard living in Sun's shadow at times" Gregory smiled at him and shook his head "you are both unique, you both serve a different purpose" Moon smiled, this time a smile that looked more genuine rather than evil. "Now, what can I do for you Gregory?".

Gregory had thought about how to ask for a long time, but now that he was here, he was unsure how the question would come out. "Have you ever uhh".. "I mean have you ever seen any children after closing time?" at the question, Moons eyes widened, "You" Gregory could not help but smile at his reply, "no i mean, other children that has gotten lost" Moon looked confused "children that has been you know, taken away" something changed in Moons demeanor "no i don't think i have"

"Let's get you ready" she looked around, she had been placed on a bed in a storage room, "where is.." Vanessa turned around and smiled, "oh don't worry about them, you are here, and that is what matters" "who is that lady?" she thought to herself, and remembered telling her parents that she had to pee. The toilet had been out of function. "I brought you here so you could use the toilet kiddo" "but.. Where are my parents?" Vanessa looked at her a bit irritated, but smiled once more, "don't you worry about that" the little girl's breathing got heavier Vanessa noticed that the girl was quite intelligent, at such a young age she already knew something was not right.

"Can I please go home?" Vanessa smiled at her "no silly" she sat down beside her, "you have been chosen" the little girl looked right ahead, puzzled and confused, "your parents have reported you missing on the news" Vanessa cleaned her knife in the sink, "do you see those walls?" the little girl nodded, Vanessa felt a sting of guilt, the girl was beyond terrified, "those are noise reducing walls, no one can hear anything from this room.

The little girl got up and ran for the door, "Mommy" Vanessa rolled her eyes and gave the lord a look, the girl was pushing down the door handle with all her strength. Vanessa turned her around, a tear fell from the girl's eye, Vanessa caught it and smelled it. "So pure" she got down to the girls level by bowing down, she caressed her cheek and kissed her forehead. "Soon, you will become a part of something much bigger" the girl looked her in the eyes, shades of red. "Are you going to hurt me?" "yes".

6 hours later

Roxanne woke up to the sounds of police sirens, she looked around, Gregory was still sleeping, she got close to his ear "good morning" Gregory made a weird mumble as to say that he wanted to reply, but was too tired to do so. She got up and put on her clothes, it was still a bit weird having to put on clothes rather than having permanent clothes on, being mostly human was both a blessing and a curse. As she put on her pants she could hear voices nearing their location, very loud voices. "I assure you that if someone is missing here, the cameras must have picked it up". Roxanne looked out as five police men walked through the Megaplex, guided by Vanessa.

"What is going on here?" Freddy met with Vanessa and the police near the fountain. "Wow, that is impressive" Freddy looked confused at the little man in uniform that looked starshook at Freddy like he had just met a celebrity, "what is?" the little man looked up at him, "your suit man, it's really impressive how alive like you guys are'' Freddy looked even more confused "alive like?" i feel very much alive". "Okay look… a girl has been reported missing, and law enforcement has been brought here to investigate" Vanessa replied. "Is this really happening?" he thought to himself before signaling the officers to follow.

"That is strange, the cameras has not picked up any unusual behavior nor any unusual movements" "what about the kid there?" a tall brown haired policeman pointed at the camera leading to the daycare. "Who is that?" Freddy looked closer, "oh that is just a regular guest that comes here often, his name is Gillory" "hmm" one of the other officers stepped forward towards Vanessa, "what is that on your shirt?" Vanessa looked down and spotted a little bit of blood on the lower part of her shirt, "oh that, i ate something with Ketchup for breakfast". "Can we have a one on one interview with each of the animatronics"? The officer over at the window asked.

Gregory had not really paid attention to the officers at all, and was now speeding away on his bike towards his school, he looked up behind him, and saw Monty waving from the roof. He directed all his attention to the road ahead, he wanted to see if he could beat his record of six minutes and thirteen seconds. He gave it all he had, really laying pressure on his leg muscles and his core. He was like lightning towards the road, he almost crashed into a car near the ramp like a hill, and arrived at the school at six minutes and three seconds, not a huge accomplishment, but an accomplishment nonetheless.

"Fuck!" Vanessa entered her place and shut the door, she briefly stopped and looked at the remains of the girl that she had killed earlier, only her teddy resembling Freddy and some blood remained. She sat down on the bed "why am i like this?" she thought back to when she got the job how she in her wildest imagination never took herself for a serial killer. "When did it go wrong in my head?" she thought to herself as she cleaned the crime scene to the best of her ability, she threw the Teddy in the trash and wiped the floor

This was not the first, nor was it the last, it was as if someone or something had a hold on her, a grip that told her what to do, and she would obey every time. She looked at herself in the mirror, and could almost see that Bunny outfit that she usually put on to try and capture some children at night time. "Why exactly am I doing this, what purpose does it serve?" "I almost got killed by Monty just about half a year ago, and now I am under investigation by the law" she laid down on her bed that stank of blood, she remembered the children, their screams, she secretly liked it without knowing why.

Chica had been beside herself; "a missing human here, without my knowledge?" she kinda knew what dwelled below the surface, she prayed that the missing girl had not gone down into the sewers. She knew exactly how this was gonna affect everyone, it was not going to be a nice couple of days trying to locate the girl, or atleast the remains of her.

Monty had been working on installments of the new arcade machines, he had not really bothered with the current problem at hand. "Of course she is going to be found" he looked in the reflection of the arcade machine, "she has to". He looked to his left and saw Vanessa sitting on a bench near his own golf area. In his own opinion, there were too many arcade machines, but what did he know?. He started walking towards Vanessa, no one deserved being alone with grief and pain in their heart.

"How are you feeling?" Vanessa looked up at Monty, his glasses were tilted a bit so his eyes could be seen, such a cool design for an animatronic. "Oh i'm doing fine Monty, i'm just a bit stressed out about this whole situation you know?". Monty nodded and sat down beside her, "yeah i get that" Vanessa got a rash thought in her head, but brushed it off, no need to kill an unsuspecting animatronic, Besides, she was trying to put the Bunny phase behind her, everytime she tried doing so however, images of some weird burned animatronic would flash in her mind.

Gregory was almost done for the day, he had been introduced to some new types of math equations, some new geographical area he had no idea existed, and seen a video about Equal rights by some man who had a dream. He was about to go to the toilet when someone behind him poked his foot with a foot. "Hey Afton, is it true that you live in an orphanage?" Gregory turned his head and looked at Billy, a guy that was about his own age. "I did yeah, not anymore", at his answer Billy shook his head, "wait, then where do you live now?" Gregory contemplated on whether to tell him or not

"Woaw do you really live here?" Gregory nodded and made a sign to follow, the two boys walked through the entrance to the Megaplex, Police and forensics were gathering evidence at the alleged crime scene. He quickly remembered that he should probably not introduce him to Roxanne, some secrets about their relationship could potentially slip out and cause harm. "You know, i have never been in here, i was too afraid, are those big robots around?" Gregory nodded and pointed down the hall.

Monty came walking down the aisle as if he was in a hurry of some sort, at the sight of the nearly seven foot three animatronic, Billy took a few steps backwards and covered his head. The footsteps got louder and louder, then stopped. A big metal hand touched his head, and he opened his eyes, "there is no reason to be scared of me lad" Monty tilted his eyes and looked Billy right in the eyes, let him know that no harm would come his way

"Hello boys" Gregory looked to his right and saw Vanessa strolling towards them in a happy mood, "hello Vanessa" Gregory quickly realized that she probably did not even know that he lived here permanently. "You some kind of guard or?" Billy asked, Vanessa shifted her attention from Gregory to Billy, and something, something very swift, briefly changed in both her tone and eyes. "Oh yeah, i'm the security guard around here" Billy could not help but feel a little shy looking at her, she was a very beautiful young woman, he almost felt enamored. "Nice to meet you Vanessa" Billy almost choked on his own words, but graded his delivery as an A-.

"Well I'm glad to see that you got some friends Gregory, i must go now", "goodbye Vanessa" Billy said, and saw Vanessa briefly looked back at him with a look that made it very clear that she knew exactly what Billy thought about her. Even though Billy was only one year older than Gregory, he could not stop looking at Vanessa's swaying hips as she walked away. Gregory rolled his eyes; "ten minutes in, and you have already fallen in love" Billy tried to find a counter argument, but just gave Gregory a smile.

"So how many animatronics are there?" Billy took a bite of his pizza that Chica had given them although a piece was missing. "Four, Chica, the one who just gave us this pizza, Freddy, the Alligator Monty that you just met, and Roxanne wolf" he was going to find out eventually about Roxanne, he just had to make sure Billy did not find out about a very sensitive topic. "Okay so where is Freddy at?" Gregory looked around, "now that you mention it, i don't know".

Freddy was beside himself, looking through camera feeds spanning from one hour ago, to over one week ago, but he could not find any camera footage that would indicate anything resembling a crime. Roxanne had joined him in the camera room, even through a screen she could see things that other Animatronics could not. "Wait, go back to 2am" Freddy rewinded the timer to 2am as fast as he could, a couple of officers were also sitting near them to study the cameras. "There!" Roxanne pointed at the lower half of one of the cameras where Vanessa was seen walking her usual route, "that is just our security guard Vanessa" Freddy assured the officers and the officers nodded and looked more calm.

"No, there is something else, why is her arm stretched like that?" Freddy zoomed in on the one camera that showed Vanessa arm stretching as if she was holding hands with someone. Freddy moved back in his chair that had been built to support his weight. "I am pretty sure she is just holding her flashlight" "Roxanne looked closer at the camera, "yeah perhaps, but why would she hold it like that?". "Listen up both of you" the detective that had been leading the investigation got up and looked at both of them, "we have now been here for just about nine hours, and we have found no trace of the girl, so we are calling it off for today". Both animatronics nodded in agreement, both worried about how this was gonna turn out, "we have installed new cameras at blind angles that really should have been covered in the first place, goodnight" shortly after all the policemen had left the building.

"Moon, I need you on patrol tonight" Freddy said as he and Moon were walking towards the main fountain in the middle of the Megaplex. "Understood, is there anything I should be aware of?" Freddy looked at Vanessa who was sitting and talking to Gregory and his new friend, probably telling them that the Megaplex was soon closing for the night. "Keep your eyes open, and if you see any child besides Gregory walking alone, alert Monty and i over the main network" Moon nodded in agreement

"Well Billy so glad that you could come and hang out with us today" Vanessa said as they were approaching the exit, Billy and Gregory had said their goodbyes and Billy was now being escorted to the exit by Vanessa. "Yeah i had a lot of fun today" he stopped and looked up at her as they were now outside. "Can I come here again tomorrow?" he asked, Vanessa's face lightened up as if some idea had popped into her mind. "Yes of course, and Billy?" "yes?" Vanessa got closer to him and whispered in his left ear "next time, try and be more discreet" Billy's heart raced as he knew what she was referring to, he could not help blushing at the fact that she had observed him looking at her butt for the last five minutes. He nodded and got on his bike.

"Did you really think I did not know that you lived here Gregory?" Vanessa laughed and hit her own leg, i have known for a while, i know your situation, so i would never tell you to just leave"

Gregory smiled at her, maybe she is not as bad as he thought she were, "that is more of a relief than you know", "did you direct Billy to the exit?" Vanessa nodded and smiled, "you definitely got a mature friend, if i didn't know better i would say the poor lad is in some sort of trance" gregory laughed which comforted Vanessa in her current situation. "Well Gregory i have to go, patrol calls" she waved before turning around and began walking fast towards her hideout.

10 minutes later

If this did not clear her consciousness nothing would, she had actually resisted the urge of killing for once, she was trying to become a better person, but it was hard when she sometimes killed without thinking, well most of the time actually. "Should I kill Billy and offer up his soul for something as simple as resurrecting an old geezer? She took off her shirt and pants and laid down and put on her blanket. That boy Billy was really something, she had never felt admired by someone else maybe ever, she was not going to kill, not him, not anyone else, the cycle that she had been put through since that damn thing entered her mind during playtesting. She knew now, she knew what had happened to her, a day without killing made her realize what had transpired in her mind, it was almost like alcohol, one day without and you start to realize the reason why you do it, the more you resist, the more you become aware of where the root of problem lies.

Shortly thereafter

"There you are, i have missed you all day" Gregory looked at Roxanne that came running towards him, they met in a hug, "Roxanne?" she got down to his level and gave him that look that he knew. "Can we perhaps just sleep today, i'm all worn out" she smiled at him "me too, i have been in the camera room all day long trying to find a little girl, i think it's best we both just sleep" they met in a kiss that lasted a couple of seconds, then they both headed towards Roxanne's place.

Couple of minutes later

"Are you already sleeping?" Gregory heard Roxanne ask from the shower, "no but im very close" she turned off the bath and walked naked into the room where Gregory lied with only his head over the blanket. She lied down beside him, kissed him on the cheek and laid down to sleep Gregory shut off the lights on a remote, and everything was quiet, then he closed his eyes.

She was flying, she was certain this was just some kind of weird dream, then she found out that she was not flying but rather falling. Fell and flew through the earth across planes, until a familiar Megaplex came into sight. She flew right through it, through the ceiling, down towards the sewers, she then took a left towards the massive sinkhole that had been blocked off, flew down the stairs and landed on her feet at the abyss at which she now found herself in. she entered a door that led to a long hall, a tv was in the middle of the room.

It had taken some time for her to accept who she served, the remains of a once infamous member of the Afton family, she glided towards the burned animatronic that welcomed her presence with open arms. She was definitely dreaming, but this felt more real than any of her previous dreams of the place, the way he had corrupted her mind when she was younger, now seeing her as a disciple.

She was trying to wake up, this felt more real than she liked, he bid her forward, an invisible force dragged her towards the burned animatronic that had opened his eyes, and was now anticipating an update on the current situation. He took her in her arms and crushed the life out of her without hesitation, no longer needed a disobedient being doing his will.
