Ever sense we got to this town there had been an odd feeling in the air. I was just walking around with Sion in town she was looking for some items she needed to make up some potions. So far, no luck. "I just can't believe they don't have these! They are like basic of basic herbs!" She threw her arms into the air in angry. "Well, it is a pretty small town." she frowned at me. "Even if it is. It's a port town you would think they would have these!" She pointed at a list that was in her hand. Sion was alchemist. So, she did need a good number of herbs for her potions. I never studied any alchemist potions, so I never really understood how she even made them to start with.

Unlike Sion I was a Mage even if I didn't wish to be one. But I was really a low-level mage. A third-grade mage that meant I had trouble even casting a defense spell to protect myself with. I couldn't even cast attack magic of any kind. So, I was a pretty unless Mage. Who ever heard of a mage that could only use defense magic? I had tuned Sion out by this point but she was still going on about not finding the items she was looking for. I just kept on having a weird feeling. Like we're being watched the more we moved around in the village. I just than thought I heard something about me and stopped dead in my tracks, "Sion stop. Don't move." I called to her and she stopped dead in her tracks. "What? What's wrong?" She quickly asked. "I think we are being followed."

"By whom?"

"I don't know, but I felt it sense we entered town. But now...whatever it is it's closer now."

We hear something coming toward us. It sounded like running. Something was heading right for us. Are we in danger? But to my surprise. A marine quickly ran up to me and grabbed onto me, "Marine?" I felt surprised to see him of anyone. "What's going on?" he pulled at my arm. "Master please we must leave right away! you are in danger!" he quickly cried. "Wait slow down, what happening here?" Sion asked. "It's not safe here. please return to the ship! Captain sent me ahead because he was having a bad feeling." he started to explain to us. "But this is a really bad. There is Mage Hunters in this town right now!"

What?

As soon as he told me that. Attacked came toward us at quick speed. "Sion get behind me!" She did so as I threw a barrier up. The man holding two daggers jumped back a bit. "So close." He was dressed all in black. More like assassin than a hunter. Another one showed up behind him. "I think only one of them is the mage. But what one is the mage?" They question each other. "Don't know. all they said is she would be heir of a bloodline that gave up her title." I gave them a confused look. Why would they even come after me? I gave up the house' spot in the circle so I shouldn't matter to anyone anymore. They didn't see I casted the spell than? "Never thought I would ever see this." Sion whispered to me, "truly I'm surprised they are still around to this day." Most of the time mage hunters didn't get the right target but on some rare times they did. Like they did with my little sister. "So what's the plan? your barrier will not last long." Sion whispered as I tried to come up with a plan. It wasn't like we could get away from both of them no matter what we did. also who knew if more of them were hiding out or not too.

This was a big problem no matter how I looked at it.

"Master please use me as a decoy and get away from here."

"What? I can't do that."

"But it's my job as your bodyguard to keep you safe. I can't fight like Captain. But I can at least be a Decoy for you Master." He left the safely of my barrier, "No come back!" the two looked confused as Marine headed toward them. "huh? that kid just came out of the barrier." They both laughed. "He's armless too. No weapon at all."

"Marine!"

"Please. Please leave this place. Please leave my Master alone!" He yelled holding his arms up. They only laughed at him as they grabbed him by his head. "Stupid kid. you really think we will just do as you say? We got a job to do." Marine tried to free himself from the man. "And we don't get paid without returning with her." He said looking toward us. "You are just in the way kid!" he yelled throwing Marine back toward us.
