Welcome everyone to my new chapter for my Pokémon story: A Human and his Gardevoir. Thank you all for the support from the last chapters and since putting the story back. I appreciate the support guys and glad I was able to get all my stuff back. I'm looking forward to seeing how things are going to go for this chapter.
I'm also glad to be getting back into my stories again. The last few months were kind of difficult for me to get any work done. But thankfully, back with them and looking forward to how this chapter will go. If you read the title, you know what it will be.
We're going to see May going up against Roxanne. We last time saw Ryan going up against Roxanne and got the win. Without losing a single member of his team. Will May be ready for Roxanne?
Now yes, she wants to be a Coordinator, not a Trainer. However, in the previous chapters, she agreed to do this to gain experience. So, she can be ready for her first contest. Will this battle be enough for her to gain enough experience?
Or will she end up losing this battle?
Tune in to the chapter to find out. I want to thank everyone for supporting my story and my friend for his help as well. I appreciate the support and feedback. I don't own anything from the Pokémon universe, except my OCs. So, without any further delays, enjoy the chapter everyone.
Chapter VII: May vs. Roxanne
Rustboro City
After defeating Roxanne, the Gym Leader of the Rustboro City, the kids went to the Pokémon Center to heal up Ryan's team. They were told Roxanne needed a few hours for her team to heal and to give her time to clean up the arena, so it can be ready for May. The referee informed the kids that Roxanne decided to make it a one-on-one battle, to make it a little more interesting.
This was fine for May since it meant she wouldn't have to risk losing her whole team if her Shroomish got knocked out. Considering she's the only Grass-type that May had, and her Torchic hadn't evolved yet. May knew she would need to rely on her Shroomish for battle. It did mean though that it's likely Roxanne will use her strongest Pokémon for the battle, Nosepass.
May used this chance to look over Nosepass and how effective her Pokémon's Grass-type moves will work on him.
In the meantime, Ryan is seen talking to his mom and explaining his victory over Roxanne, while showing the badge he won. Safe to say, Annabeth was extremely proud of her son and his teammates.
"Oh my gosh, Ryan! I knew you would win your first gym badge," Annabeth exclaimed as she was excited for her son's first gym victory. "And it sounds like your team all gave it their all in this battle."
Ryan nods in agreement. "Yeah, I'm happy we won, and they were all amazing, including Rachel. Isn't that right, Rachel?" he asked as he looked down at his Pokémon, who was blushing and turning her face away.
Y-Y-Yes…i-it was a lot o-of fun…Rachel felt embarrassed because of how much praise she got, but she was really proud of herself. She didn't just overcome her fear of battling, but helped Ryan win his first gym battle.
Ryan chuckled softly as he pets Rachel's head. "No need to be shy. You were amazing," said Ryan before he turned to his mom. "But yeah. One badge down and seven more to go."
"Just remember, Ryan. The battles from here on out will continue to become difficult," said Annabeth as she reminds her son of how hard things will get from here on out. "You will need to continue catching new Pokémon, train your team, and prepare them for whatever comes your way. Understand?"
Ryan nods in response knowing his mother is 100% correct. He won his battle today without losing a single member, but he knows the next gyms won't end with the same results.
"I know, mom. I'm aware that the next gyms are going to give me and my team a run for my money," in fact, Ryan knows the next gym will involve using Fighting-type Pokémon. Meaning, he'll need to strengthen Tai his Tailow and Rachel. "We've got time though since after this, May wants to compete in her first contest."
"Ah yes. The first one should be in Verdanturf Town. It should be an easy enough place for may to go to. But remember, she needs to win five ribbons in order to compete in the Grand Festival," said Annabeth as she reminded her son.
"Much like how eight gym badges are needed for any Pokémon trainer to compete in the Pokémon League, Pokémon Coordinators need five ribbons in order to compete in the Grand Festival to become Top Coordinators."
"Five ribbons, huh?" Ryan knew that sounded a lot easier than winning eight badges, but he also knew each of the contests require different themes. "From what you mentioned, May will need to first get her Pokémon to use their different moves to win over the judges before making it to the end to win the ribbons."
And May hasn't had a chance to do that at all. Maybe with this upcoming battle, she can use this chance to help her Pokémon practice.
"Exactly. But remember, in every contest they expect to see Coordinators to use Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness, and Toughness to win over the judges," said Annabeth who has a lot of knowledge about this due to her past experiences in these contests. "And she'll need to wear something pretty to match the theme too."
"Right. I'll be sure to let her know, thanks mom," said Ryan before noticing the time. "Oh whoops. Got to go, mom. I'm going to meet up with the girls before we leave. I love you mom!"
"Okay, bye son! I love you too! And Rachel, keep him safe, please!" said Annabeth as she waved her son and Rachel goodbye.
I'll try! Rachel exclaimed before Ryan picked her up and hung up the phone. As they rush to go outside, Rachel begins thinking about what Ryan's mom said earlier. Ryan, what did your mom mean by winning over the judges. Do these contests have judges?
Ryan nods in response as he explained how all the contests have three judges overseeing them. It's usually two are from the organization associated with the contests, and the other is the local nurse of the city or town they're in. Ryan's mom knows this because she used to compete in these contests with her best friend, Johanna. Back when they lived in the Sinnoh region.
"Mom and Ms. Johanna were rivals back home but were also best friends. But yeah, she knows a lot about these contests because of it," said Ryan as he finished explaining everything to Rachel.
Oh wow…so she's a Top Coordinator? Rachel asked as she got a small nod from Ryan. That's amazing. I'm surprised you didn't try getting into these contests.
"Eh. It's not my cup of tea. Besides, it also means dressing up a lot and not sure about doing that all the time," said Ryan who couldn't see himself wearing those fancy looking clothes.
Rachel on the other hand did and she thought they'd looked cute to wear. She even pictured Ryan wearing a fancy suit too but shook those thoughts out of her head. W-Well, I hope she does well today and will be ready for her first contest.
"Here's hoping," said Ryan as they made their way to the girls, who were waiting for them at the entrance. "Hey! Sorry about that. I guess I took a little longer talking to my mom."
"It's all right. I was actually talking to Piper about…well…my upcoming Gym Battle," said May as she looked a little nervous about this.
"What do you mean? Is everything okay? You're not backing out, are you?" Ryan asked who was hoping May wasn't going to call it quits on her upcoming battle.
"What? No! I just…well, remember how the referee told us it would be a one-on-one battle?" May asked as she got a small nod response from Ryan, showing he remembered. "Well, he also mentioned as the challenger I can choose one substitute in case I want to switch out my team."
"Ah right. And considering you have one that can't move much while the other is weak to both Rock and Ground-types. Not much option there," said Ryan who knew May couldn't afford to use any substitution.
"Exactly! So, if Shroomish gets hurt then I'm sort of out of luck," said May who knew unless she could get Silcoon to evolve in the next few minutes, then her chances of winning will go up in flames.
"And that's where we popped in," said Piper as she raised her hand, as did her Phantump.
"Oh? Are you going to lend Phantump to May?" Ryan asked who knew that would be a smart move.
Piper and Phantump gasped before Piper held her Pokémon close to her. "How dare you?! I would never put my sweet innocent baby in danger like that," said Piper as she pets Phantump's head, who gave a small nod and had his eyes get all watery.
Rachel narrowed her eyes towards Phantump and knew he wasn't so sweet or innocent. You're not fooling me, Phantump. Phantump heard that and stuck his tongue out at her, causing Rachel to growl a little bit.
Ryan sighed as he rubbed the right side of his head. "Okay, fine. So, what kind of solution did you have in mind?"
"Well, I'll give her one of the Pokémon I caught accidentally while in the Sinnoh Region," said Piper as she revealed a Pokéball she had in hand.
"Wait, wait, wait. I thought you only hand Phantump?" Ryan asked who was confused that she had another Pokémon that she never mentioned.
"Well, to be honest? I went there last week visiting my sister who wanted to catch a cute Pokémon. We caught one, but she insisted I catch one too for fun. I didn't want to and well one thing led to another, she somehow convinced me to catch one. But I had her kept back home with family and just remembered I had her," said Piper as she gave a long explanation of how she came to have another Pokémon.
"And the reason you didn't bring it with you is because?" Ryan asked wondering where she is going with this.
"It's not a Ghost-Pokémon," said May as she turned to Piper. "It's a…Buneary?"
Piper shuddered softly as she nodded in response. "A non-Ghost Pokémon, exactly. I was going to have her stay at home, but I decided May can have her."
"A Buneary? Oh yeah. My mom has one of those…oh dang. That's a good one," said Ryan who knew Buneary could be very helpful to May.
"So, Piper and you say, but she told me it's a Normal-type. How is that effective against Roxanne's Pokémon?" May asked wondering how Buneary would be helpful.
"Because she is fast and equipped with different abilities," said Piper as she explained that Buneary had learned Double Kick, while also equipped with different abilities like Dig and Low Sweep. "While I never trained her, she still strong and fast. Enough to probably help you in this battle."
Ryan nods in agreement. "Never judge a Pokémon by their type. Normal-type are strong in their own rights and are tricky to take down. You should know this considering your dad uses them for his gym."
May knew that was true. Her dad's Pokémon were all Normal-type, yet they were very strong. Enough to be a match against any Pokémon trainer that came their way. So, Buneary could be of great help and could do enough damage before she goes for a substitute. Plus, if Piper doesn't want her, then she can take her.
"All right. I'll take her then, thank you, Piper," said May who appreciated the help from her friend.
"No problem. Now, go out there and kick some butt," said Piper as Phantump cheers for her.
"She's right. You got this, May. You can do this, and we'll be there supporting you," said Ryan who has faith in his friend.
You believed in Ryan and me to win. So, we will do the same for you. Rachel showed her support as well, wanting her friend to win this battle.
May felt her friends' love and support surging through her. She knows she can do this. She knows she can win. And she won't let them down.
"All right! Let's go then!" May exclaimed as she got ready for her battle.
"Great…oh also there's something else I wanted to tell. I'll fill you in along the way," said Ryan as he begins telling May what his mom told him and what she needs to do for her eventual contest battles.
Rustboro Gym
Roxanne is seen waiting in the gym arena for her challengers to return to face her. She had used this chance to get her team healed up before she could face off against Norman's daughter, May. She was actually a little excited for the chance to battle against the daughter of Norman. She's curious to see what she has in store for herself and if she'll be ready for her.
Soon enough, the doors to her gym opened and she saw her challengers had arrived. "Welcome back! I trust you had enough time to pick with Pokémon to go with in this battle?"
May nods in response as her friends walk over to the stands to watch the battle. "I'm ready for whatever you have in store for me."
"Good to hear that confidence in your tone. Let's see if you'll be able to back it up," said Roxanne as she showed a bit of confidence in her own tone as well. It's not often she faces the child of one of the gym leaders of Hoenn, so this is a nice change for her. "Now, I presume my referee told you about the changes in the battle?"
May nodded as she took out her Pokéball. "I'm aware."
"All right. Then let's begin," said Roxanne as she took out her own Pokéball.
The referee walked over to the center of the field and began explaining the rules. "The battle between Gym Leader, Roxanne and her challenger, May, will now begin. This will be a one-on-one match, where only the challenger is allowed to use a substitute. However, if the Pokémon is knocked out in battle before a substitution is used, then the challenger will lose."
"Oof that's not good," said Ryan who knew that means if Roxanne's Pokémon get a lucky shot in, then it'll be over.
Piper nods in agreement. "I told May what Buneary can do, so here's hoping it's enough. Just like I hope what you told her will be helpful too"
Ryan knew it was probably not the right time to tell May to try what his mom suggested, but if all goes according to plan, then she'll be okay. "I just hope May uses all those moves you told her that Buneary can do to good use."
May took a deep breath as she prepared for her first battle that didn't involve her facing a friend. Her first Gym Battle against a strong trainer who she knows didn't get where she is without being good.
"All right. Let's do this…Go! Buneary!" May tosses out her Pokéball and lets out the Normal-type Pokémon, Buneary.
Buneary lets out a loud cry as she lands on the ground and looks ready for battle. May walked over to Buneary and kneeled in front of her.
"Hi there, Buneary. Listen…I know I'm not the one who caught you and Piper gave you to me. But I promise to be a good trainer to you," said May as she pets her Pokémon's head. "All I ask, is you lend me your strength and help me win, okay?"
Buneary knew all about how Piper gave her to this trainer as a way to help her friend. Buneary has only been in one battle, and that was against Piper. But when she turned towards her former trainer, who gave her a small smile and a thumbs up. And then turned to face May, she knew she wouldn't have given her to just anyone if she didn't trust her.
Buneary began to smile and cry out her name while giving May a thumbs up. May was so happy to see her approving her new trainer and hugging her.
"Oh, thank you so much! I promise you'll get a big meal when we win this," said May as she kept hugging her new Pokémon, who hugged her back and giggled from the hug her human trainer is giving her.
"How sweet. You two seem to have a strong bond, huh?" Roxanne asked while unaware of the circumstances that led to this partnership. "Well, let's see if she's ready for…Onix!" Roxanne throws out her Pokéball and releases her Pokémon, Onix.
May gasped softly when she saw the Pokémon being used and saw it wasn't the other two that Roxanne had used against Ryan.
"An Onix? She didn't have that before," said Piper who didn't expect this, as did Phantump who looked shocked too.
"Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon. Onix has a magnet in its brain. It acts as a compass so that this Pokémon does not lose direction while it is tunneling. As it grows older, its body becomes increasingly rounder and smoother." – Pokédex
"Oh, this isn't good. It's a Rock and Ground-type Pokémon, but still, the size difference is a big disadvantage," said Ryan who didn't expect Roxanne to bring out a new Pokémon for this battle.
"Tell me about it. Poor Buneary is only 1 foot and 4 inches. Meanwhile, Onix is 28 foot long and towers over her," said Piper who knew this wasn't a good thing for May. "Do you think she might need to give up before they can begin the match?"
Ryan knew for a first-timer like May, that might be necessary, but he also knows she'll eventually have to go through this again in the future. "I think we need to believe she can find a way to find this. It won't be easy, but neither will the battles ahead of her."
Ryan recalls what his mother told him and how the battles from here on out will get tougher. So, if May wants to become a Top Coordinator, she'll need to go through these battles eventually.
May meanwhile, was terrified. She didn't expect Roxanne to pull out a brand-new Pokémon she never saw before. She was so prepared for Nosepass that she didn't think she would use anything differently. She was now reconsidering her options. She should just back down now and…
Go! May! You can do it! Rachel called out to May, catching the attention of the three trainers. I know you're scared…I know I was…but you and Buneary can do this. Don't give up. Just like I know you didn't want Ryan and me to give up!
"Rachel," said May who didn't expect to get cheered from Rachel like this.
Ryan felt a surge of confidence growing and began to cheer his friend on too. "Yeah! You can do it, May! I know this isn't what you planned, but don't let that large chunk of rocks scare you. You're ready for this, May! And we know you can do it!"
Piper too felt any doubt she had for her friend began to disappear and be replaced with confidence in her. "Don't give up on your dream, May! You can win this! You and Buneary can do this!"
May felt her friends' cheers and words wash all over her. Helping give her the confidence she needed and feels her courage return to her. She turned to Buneary who too looked ready for battle and didn't look ready to back down. May gave a small smile and nods towards her teammate, before turning to her friends.
"Thank you, guys…thank you all!" said May before she turned her attention to Roxanne, who stood there watching everything. "I'm ready whenever you are, Ms. Roxanne."
Roxanne stood silent and watched the young trainers giving their friends their words of encouragement. Wanting to show they believe in her and don't want her to give in. It brought her joy seeing this. Watching these young trainers looking out for one another and pouring their love for each other.
"Such love your friends have shown to you. I'm happy to see you all supporting one another," said Roxanne who appreciated seeing trainers who have their friends stand by their side, even against impossible odds. "You'll need it for the challenges ahead of you, but first…" she moved her left hand back and turned to her referee. "Let's begin this battle and see who will emerge victorious!"
"Very well. Let the battle…begin!" said the referee, commencing with the battle.
"Onix! Use Tackle!" Roxanne ordered as her Pokémon charged towards the Buneary.
"Buneary! Dodge using Bounce!" May ordered as her Buneary nods in response and leaped into the air, avoiding the tackle.
"She's fast," said Roxanne who didn't expect the Buneary to be fast enough to avoid her Onix's attack.
"We're not done yet! Buneary! Use Double Kick!" May ordered as her Buneary landed on the ground behind Onix and hits her Double Kick attacks towards the back of the rock snake Pokémon.
Onix lets out a loud painful roar, showing the attack was super effective.
"All right! Keep it up, you two!" Ryan cheered as Rachel cheered on too along with Phantump.
"She got those kicks in, but she has to keep her distance," said Piper who knows this fight isn't over yet.
"Onix! Use Iron Tail!" Roxanne ordered as his Pokémon's tail begins to glow as he swings towards Buneary.
"Buneary! Leap over it and spin!" May ordered her Pokémon as Buneary managed to leap over the attack and spin her body, before landing across from Onix, gracefully. "Yes! I knew she could do it."
"Whoa," said Ryan who didn't expect that. "I didn't know she could do that."
How did Buneary learn to do that in her first battle? Rachel asked who didn't see Buneary and Dawn train before this battle.
"Oh, that was my sister," said Piper as she explained her sister is working to be a Pokémon Coordinator like May and would practice with her own Buneary, and Piper's. "I told May all about it and recommended she uses some of those moves in battle."
"Oh! That's smart," said Ryan who knew from his mom's previous Coordinator Contests that in battle, you get points for using moves like what Buneary did. "Let's hope though it'll be enough."
"Buneary! Use Low Sweep!" May ordered as Buneary goes for a low kick towards Onix.
"Onix! Dodge it and use Screech!" Roxanne ordered as Onix avoided getting kicked, then leaned over Buneary and released a powerful high pitch screeching noise.
May and Buneary covered their ears, but the poor Pokémon's ears are sensitive to super loud screech sounds, making them painful.
"Now, use Tackle!" Roxanne ordered as her Onix launched himself and tackled Buneary, sending her flying towards some rocks, crashing into them.
"Buneary!" May gasped and called out to her Pokémon, hoping she was okay.
Once the smoke cleared, Buneary appeared to be hurt, but not knocked out. Buneary struggled to get to her feet, while Onix looked ready to attack.
"I need to switch out," said May who knew she can use a substitute and prepared to switch out her Buneary, when her Pokémon cried out towards her.
May looked over and saw her Pokémon didn't want to switch out. She wanted to keep going. She began flashing back to when Rachel refused to switch out and wanted to keep fighting until she helped weaken Nosepass. May knows she should though, but seeing the fire left in her Pokémon's eyes, she decided to give her a chance.
"If you're sure…then keep fighting, Buneary!" May exclaimed as she encouraged her Pokémon to keep going.
Buneary was happy to hear that and turned to Onix, ready to keep going. Something Roxanne and Onix seemed impressed with, while curious to see what else they can do.
"Gutsy move, but let's see if you can back it up," said Roxanne as she decided to end this. "Onix! Use Rock Smash!" she ordered her Pokémon to use a Fighting-type move to finish this.
"Hold it, Buneary!" Buneary ordered as she waited for Onix to get in close before she made her move. Once Onix was close to them, May made her move. "Dodge and use Double Team!"
Buneary dodges the attack as Onix crashes into the rocks behind her, creating a large cloud of dust. Soon Buneary begins using Double Team making it seem like there's duplicates of her. Leaving Onix confused on which one is the real one. Even Roxanne had trouble figuring it out herself and the dust was making it hard to properly get a look at the Buneary duplicands.
"Okay. Looks like we'll need to improvise. Onix! Use Iron Tail!" Roxanne ordered as her Pokémon swings his large tail around to try hitting all the Buneary, which also helped blow away the dust.
With it all gone, Onix saw his attack didn't hit his target. In fact, the real Buneary isn't there anymore.
"What in the…where did she go?" Roxanne asked as she looked around.
"Did she get hit or get caught in the rubble?" Piper asked as she looked around too, along with Phantump.
Ryan and Rachel though, seemed to know where Buneary went. They noticed something earlier after Onix crashed into the rocks and after Buneary used Double Team. Ryan began to smile as he saw where this is going.
May sees Onix shifting his body around and looking around, before noticing a hole nearby. Onix lowered his head to the hole to look, allowing May to make her move.
"Buneary! Use Dig!" May ordered as her Pokémon emerged from hole and hits Onix square under the chin, causing the Pokémon to roar in pain.
"Onix!" Roxanne called out as she was shocked to see Buneary emerging from the hole.
"Now! Finish this with Double Kick to the head!" May ordered as her Pokémon flies down and kicks Onix on the head and his horn.
Onix soon begins to fall to the ground and crashes, releasing a large cloud of dust. May, Roxanne, Ryan, Rachel, Piper, and Phantump looked on wondering if Onix is still conscious or is knocked out. With the dust beginning to settle, they see Buneary on top of Onix, with her opponent groaning loudly and appearing knocked out.
"Onix is unable to battle! The winner is challenger May and her Buneary!" the referee called, declaring May the winner.
May stood there shocked that she won. Her first ever Gum Battle that she didn't think she ever had, and she ended up getting the win. She lets out a loud cheerful happy glee and ran over to Buneary, hugging her. Buneary returned the hug as she snuggled against her trainer for the win they got together.
Ryan, Rachel, Piper, and Phantump celebrated as well. They rushed down and began celebrating with their friend on her win. All complimenting her and Buneary for their amazing work. And how they always believed in her.
"You were amazing! Both of you," said Ryan who was so happy for his friends.
Ryan is right. You both really surprised everyone and were amazing out there. Rachel replied while impressed with how Buneary was able to win.
"I knew you had it in ya. I'm glad my sister's lame training helped you out," said Piper who had to admit, despite the disagreements she has with her sister, she knew her stuff. "I'm glad Buneary got an amazing trainer like you, May."
Phantump nodded in agreement and congratulated her friends. Buneary smiled and looked proud of herself for holding her own against Onix.
"Thank you, guys. Really. It meant a lot you all supported me even when things looked bad," said May before looking down at Buneary. "And thank you for not giving up. You were amazing out there, Buneary. Thank you."
Buneary nods before hugging May once more, who hugged her little friend back. Happy the fight was over and even more so that they won.
Roxanne, meanwhile, walked over to Onix who regained consciousness and petted his head. "There, there. You did your best. I'm proud of you, Onix."
Onix groaned softly as he closed his eyes and enjoyed the pat from his trainer. Roxanne takes out the Pokéball and returns Onix back to his ball. She turned to the trainers and smiled softly. She lost again, back-to-back.
"This has never happened before," said Roxanne who didn't expect to lose two in a row. "I must either be getting sloppy…or the new crop of trainers have gotten better."
In any case, she knew she would need to step up her game in order to ensure she wouldn't lose again for a while. But for now? She walked over to the group and gave a small bow.
"Well done, May. You surprised me today with your performance. Though I suppose I shouldn't be considering who your father is," said Roxanne as she praised May for her work and teamwork with Buneary. "Since I lost, you now receive the Stone Badge, showing you defeated me in battle."
The referee walked over and presented May with her badge. May stood there happy to see her first ever badge. She happily and respectfully took it, before she gave a small head bow back to Roxanne.
"And thank you for the battle, Ms. Roxanne," said May who appreciated the fight the Gym Leader gave her. "You and Onix were amazing. I definitely didn't expect to battle against him."
"I like to keep any trainers who saw my two Pokémon a little surprise to keep them on their toe," said Roxanne before she remembered something. "And by the way, I forgot to give this to you Ryan earlier, but since both of you won…"
She turned to her referee who presented the trainers with what looked like a small disc box. "This is an HM Item, which stands for; Hidden Machine."
Roxanne explains these are Pokémon Moves that are taught to any Pokémon that is exposed to it. In this case, this HM is Rock Smash. A Fighting-type move that is useful against Pokémon that it is effective against, while also smashing away any rocks in the way of the trainers during their journey.
"You'll need it on your journey since the next city you'll go towards will require you to go through Rusturf Tunnel," said Roxanne as she explained the cave is short and leads towards Verdanturf Town.
"A cave huh…thank you, Ms. Roxanne," said Ryan as he and May took the HM while knowing they will use these HM items for when they reach the cave.
"You're welcome. Now, go get some rest, heal up your team, and good luck on the rest of your journey. I'm expecting big things from you two and I can't wait to see where your journey takes you both," said Roxanne as she wished the young trainers' luck and has no doubt they will go on to bigger things.
That much she is sure of. And she couldn't wait to see them make it to the Pokémon League.
That's the end of the chapter and yep, May got the win. She got her first badge and got a Buneary. Now yes, in Hoenn, there is no Buneary. However, I wanted to give her another Pokémon to give her an advantage. Don't worry, the rest of her team will get their moment to shine.
Also, yeah, the next location for our heroes will go a little differently than in the game. But the introduction of this region's bad guys will be introduced. If you've played the Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald games, you know who they are. And the damage they're going to cause.
Also, Roxanne, later in the games does have an Onix when you face her in a rematch. Along with other Pokémon that make it a little challenging for you if you don't level up your team. However, I only brought Onix in since I thought it would be a nice challenge for May. How will things for them on their next journey?
Will they be ready for whatever comes next? Will Ryan, May, and Piper run into some trouble? Will we see some familiar faces in the future? And when will we get to the contests?
Tune in next time to find out and thank you, guys, so much for the support of my stories. If you liked it, then please leave some reviews, but if you didn't, then no flame reviews. Also, thank you to my friend for his help as well, you're awesome. See you all next time, take good care, and see you all next time.
