"Excuse me?" Piper asked with a blush. Leave it to the Daughter of Aphrodite to take that the wrong way.
"What do you mean Big Daddy's coming?" Frank asked. Nick sighed and spoke "Please, would you kindly watch the video?"
The screen began with a shot of the sea. Some classic music from the 1940's and 50's was heard on the background as a bunch of jellyfish bounced up. A woman's voice was heard narrating.
"For every choice, there is an echo. With each act, we change the world. One man chose a city, free of law and God."
"Mother?" Annabeth asked. Percy shivered a bit as he could feel her eyes watching him.
It was indeed Athena narrating.
The screen reveals a literal city in the sea. Unlike Atlantis, this city was like New York.
Everyone looked at the spectacle in wonder.
"Woah... It's a city in the ocean!" Hazel said in excitement. Annabeth was looking at it "How did they do it? How could they do that in the sea?"
Percy added "All that water pressure that deep would've crushed it."
"If this man-made, and they found a way to make it work then this is an amazing feat!" Leo said as he was amazed.
Athena continued to narrate as the camera zoomed in to see a building tilted, destroyed.
"But others chose corruption, and so the city fell. If the world were reborn in your image, would it be paradise or perdition?"
The camera went through a window to reveal a girl running into an empty room. Filled with crumbled concrete and destroyed furniture. The girl in question had stone grey skin and yellow eyes. She wore a purple dress and had a doll in hand.
"Woah! What the Hades is wrong with her?" Leo asked to which Thalia glared at him and smacked the back of his head. "Ow what was that for?"
"Don't be rude. Different universes, remember?"
"But I do agree with his question, what happened to that little girl?" Piper asked.
Nick answered "That is a Little Sister. I'll explain more about this world in detail but please bare with me."
The girl screamed as she ran through a glass tube hallway. The screen panned over to reveal who she is running from. It was a man crawling on the wall using meat hooks. He giggled maniacally as he crawled towards the girl who continued running.
Everyone immediately felt protective of the little girl. Percy clenched his fists as he thought of his little sister Estelle. If it was her in there, he would've done everything in his power to protect her.
The Little Sister ran into a dead end where she looked around before the man landed in front of her, making the girl scream and drop her doll. She dropped onto her butt and crawled backwards.
The man shushed as he crawled towards her on all fours "It's all over now."
"You stay the fuck away from her." Percy growled with his sea green eyes glowing.
Behind the man, water swished before a very tall man in a large deep sea diving suit walked out. On his right hand was a large drill as he stomped his way towards the man that dares to kill the Little Sister.
"What the fuck..." Thalia said without breath
Everyone immediately felt intimidated by this large man with a drill.
"That is a Big Daddy. Men spliced and changed in order to protect the Little Sisters."
"There's more?" Jason asked.
Nick nodded.
The Little Sister screamed "No! No!" To which the man took off the plague doctor mask to reveal his deformed face and missing teeth which made a lot of the members in the audience gag. The man shouted "I won't hurt ya!" The Big Daddy punched the man who was launched to a wall.
He walked towards the man where he revved his drill before stabbing the man, killing it with no mercy. The Little Sister watched her savior with a smile.
The Big Daddy pulled his drill out and walked towards the Little Sister before the screen changed to zoom in on his face as a woman sang.
"Daddy. Daddy, won't you please come home?"
"Well... That was a thing." Percy said. He was certainly relieved that the girl wasn't hurt.
"So you said they were changed to protect those little girls?" Annabeth asked.
"Yes I did. However there's still more so let's continue." Nick said as Annabeth pouted.
The camera was now in the Big Daddy's perspective. You could hear the heavy layered breathing as he looked at the Little Sister before seeing the doll. He picked up the doll and handed it to her as she stood up. She hugged the doll gently before grabbing the man's index finger and started pulling it.
She was trying to lead him somewhere. She said "This way!" Her voice though... It was layered, as if there was more than one person speaking. The girl let go of his finger and started skipping to the next room while humming.
The Big Daddy followed her as she turned to a corner before looking back at him "Come on, Daddy!"
He looked to reveal a theater room with what looked like apparitions of people dancing. Like a masquerade ball. He was broken out of this vision by a stick of dynamite blowing up near him.
Everyone jumped and Piper put a hand to her heart. "Gods damn it!" Thalia shouted as she tried to calm herself down.
"Warn us next time!" Annabeth glared at Nick who nonchalantly shrugged.
The camera looked back to show a Splicer chasing after the Little Sister before Big Daddy charged his hand blue before encasing two Splicers in ice. He used his drill to shatter one of the Splicers before jumping down from the ledge.
"Woah! How did he do that?" Percy asked. Leo, Jason, and Piper shivered as they remembered Khione and her ice.
"You'll see."
After landing down, the Little Sister dodged a Splicer while saying "Let go! Let go!"
The Big Daddy pulled out the Rivet Gun and shot at four Splicers before getting hit with a large slab of the building. He looked to his right to see a large Brute pick up another slab and threw it at the Big Daddy who somehow managed to stop it using telekinesis and threw it back at the brute who smacked it away before charging at the Big Daddy.
"Woah, big hoss." Hazel said with a shiver.
"Wait wait wait! Telekinesis? How is that possible?" Jason asked.
Percy shook his head "Bro, he'll tell us at the end."
The Brute smacked his drill before delivering a nasty left hook before bringing his fists down to his shoulders. The Big Daddy caught the Brute's right hand before hitting him in the face with the drill which made him back up into a puddle of water.
The Big Daddy charged up his left hand again, but this time with electricity and shot it towards the puddle which electrocuted the Brute. It collapsed and died before the Little Sister ran up to the Big Daddy.
"Now electricity? What the Hades is he capable of using that?" Thalia asked to which Jason agreed. It was clear this thing was powerful, if it could wield ice, telekinesis, and electricity, then this being was on a whole new level.
There was a horrid screech to which the Little Sister and Big Daddy looked up to see a large skinny figure in a similar dive suit banging its fist against the glass, cracking it and water shooting in. The Big Daddy picked up the Little Sister who warned him "Big Sister is coming! Coming now!"
Everyone flinched and almost covered their ears from the horrible screeching.
The Big Sister in question delivered one final punch and a large stream of water dropped down. The Big Sister emerged from the make shift waterfall and the Big Daddy tried to fire his Rivet Gun, but it jammed.
The Big Sister rose her hands up which made a lot of debris and water swirl around her like a tornado. A concrete slab hit the Big Daddy in the face before getting hit by a chair. The Big Sister sent the corpse of the Brute at him, to which he smacked away in time and was pushed back a few feet. The Big Sister screeched once more as the Big Daddy revved up his drill.
Everyone watched with growing anticipation and anxiety at the battle that was about to happen.
The two charged at each other before the screen cut to black with the last image being the glowing red helmet lense of the Big Sister.
Everyone took a deep breath and Annabeth immediately began to ask questions.
"Alright, start talking. What happened? How was that city made? Why is everyone so demented? What happened to that little girl? How is that giant of a man able to use those powers?"
Nick cleared his throat and the screen powered up to reveal Rapture.
"Rapture City was created by Andrew Ryan, though in the this universe, it's Leo Valdez."
Leo blinked "Excuse me, what?"
Nick continued "He believed a man was entitled to the sweat on his brow. He despised all governments and religion so he made Rapture as a means to give people the entitlement they deserve."
"However, the city fell when they discovered ADAM from these sea slugs. A liquid substance that rewrites and splices a person's DNA and gives them abilities that are that of gods. Another liquid, called EVE gives people the power to use those abilities. However, it made everyone very addicted to ADAM. The Little Sisters were mentally conditioned to extract ADAM from corpses. The Big Daddy's were humans who were spliced and experimented on and merged with those deep sea diving suits. They are brainwashed to protect the Little Sisters."
"So what's so special about this one?" Frank asked after everyone was processing the information. To hear about how promising a city in the sea was only to be destroyed on the inside.
"Oh it's simple. Subject Delta was the first successful Big Daddy to be bonded to a Little Sister. Oh and it's Percy."
"What!? How did I become that... giant?" Percy asked in shock.
"You see, you were a deep sea diver that discovered Rapture. You were brought in and considered a celebrity. No idea why. But Ryan believed you to be a government spy so you were taken away to a prison and experimented to become a Big Daddy."
It was silent as Annabeth held his hand tightly.
"Fuck..." Jason said in a depressed tone.
Leo was silent as he was looking down. He's held up Percy in high regard, despite the anger he had at the Son of Poseidon for leaving Calypso. But to see a version of him that practically ruined Percy's life. It made him feel like shit. Despite knowing that it was a different universe, it didn't make him feel any better.
"Percy I..." Before he could say anymore, Percy shook his head.
"It's not you, Leo. You wouldn't have done this. There's nothing to apologize for." He smiled sadly at Leo who nodded.
"So Percy was the first one to be bonded to a Little Sister. Is the Little Sister of any significance?" Piper asked
Nick answered "Yes actually. Her name was Eleanor Lamb. She's the daughter of resident psychiatrist, Athena. But that's enough about this one. We're gonna move on to... Oh."
Nick looked at his tablet to see the next viewing.
"What is it?" Hazel asked in slight worry.
Nick was silent before looking at them and answered "Well, let me just say this..."
Everyone was silent as they anticipated what he was going to say.
"Mask."
"Copy." A dark voice replied.
