Ever since coming here Rex has been kinda quiet about the previous life. Anakin being Darth Vader and all was just trying to distract himself from the memories. Rex has already forgave him for the last life. Mainly because of Anakin's son Luke, and Luke's wife Mara. It took some convincing, but Rex did come to forgive him. I guess I should thank him, after all its because of him that I got this second chance. Rex thought. When I first woke up here, I thought it was Luke, but it was him. Maybe I should apologize for shooting at him.
Rex is on a shuttle to Beacon. He has been searching for Anakin, but spots Ruby talking to some blond girl. Ah what the hell. Rex thinks. Rex starts to head over to her when the blond girl says something. "I can't believe that my baby sister is coming to Beacon with me!" Blondie says squeezing Ruby in a hug. "This is the best day ever!"
"Please stop" Ruby pleads as Rex approaches. Blondie lets go and is about to say something before noticing the newcomer.
"Who are you handsome?" Blondie asks flirtatiously as Ruby turned to face the former Clone Captain.
"REX!" Ruby Screams in joy as she jumps up in excitement
"You know him Ruby?"
"Yeah! He's one of the two brothers I told you about!" Oh yeah forgot she was there for that talk with Ozpin.
"Rex Skywalker, nice to meet you Ms..." Rex interjects leaving the last part of the sentence for her to introduce herself. It takes a second for her to catch on.
"Oh, sorry, Yang Xiao Long." She offers her hand and he accepts.
"Nice to meet you Yang. Ruby have you seen Anakin I've been looking for-" Rex is interrupted by the sound of tapping on glass. The trio turn to see him dangling from outside the window. "Him."
"I take it that's him there?" Yang asks grinning.
"Yeah..." Rex says with a look of disappointment.
"Is... he.. gonna be okay?" Ruby asks worriedly.
"Why am I not surprised?" Rex asks himself, facepalming while ignoring Ruby's question. When they finally land Anakin jumps over to the ground in front of the trio just as they exit.
"Anakin, why were you hanging from the KRIFFING WINDOW!" Rex yells forgetting that the kid was standing next to him. Yang's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Kriffing? What dose that mean? Yang thought.
"Well I was Running late and the doors were already closed..."
"So you jumped onto one of the windows to hang off of till we got to Beacon! You realize we didn't know how far it was! It could have been days for all we knew!" After briefly arguing for a bit, the two finally get to what the court yard and the sight of Beacon in all it's glory.
"The view from Vale's got nothing on this!" Yang says in awe at the sight of Beacon
"You've got that right!" Rex says with a little excitement. Anakin then noticed Ruby going completely nuts over the weapons other students were carrying.
"Ooh! Ooh! Sis! That kid has a collapsible staff! Ooh! And she's got a fire sword!" Yang pulls her back before she stars to wander.
"Relax kid, you'll have plenty of time to see all of the weapons, but you should consider making friends first." Rex advises.
"Yeah I agree, having friends are essential." Anakin interjects. "Otherwise you could go mad. I should know." Yang and Ruby give him curious looks.
"Besides, there just weapons" Yang continues looking back to her sister.
"Just Weapons?!" Anakin, Ruby, and Rex yell in unison. I mean seriously, these weapons are awesome. Rex thought.
"They're an extension of ourselves! They're a part of us!" Ruby adds.
"Yeah!" Rex agrees. Though it was not the reason I was going for, it works. Rex thought.
"I agree, my teacher once told me..." Anakin pulls out his blue lightsaber "'Anakin, This weapon is your life', I mean isn't that what your weapon is when you make it?"
"See, these two get it!" Ruby yells
"Ok," Yang starts. "Point taken. But why can't you swoon over your own weapon? Aren't you happy with it?" at this Ruby pulls out her collapsed Scythe, activates it, and then proceeded to hug it.
"Of course I'm happy with Cresent Rose!" Ruby defends. "I just really like seeing new one's. It's like meeting new people. But better."
"Come on kid why don't you go make some new friends of your own." Rex suggests.
"But why would I need friends when I have you guy's?" She asks. Just then a bunch of people show up.
"Well... Actually, my friends are here now. Gotta go catch up 'kay, c'ya, bye." Yang says darting off at insane speed leaving ruby spinning.
"Wait!" Ruby pleads. "Where are you going? Are we supposed to go to our dorms? Where are our dorms? ...Do we have dorms? I don't know what I'm doing..." She was about to fall on someones expensive looking luggage, but Anakin and Rex catch her before hand.
They had just caught Ruby, keeping her from landing on some rich girls luggage as some girl walked up to them, mainly Ruby.
"What are you doing!?" Yells the girl in a expensive looking white skirt with white high heel boots
"Sorry about that." Rex apologizes for Ruby.
"Yeah, that could have been a crisis." Anakin says sarcasticly assuming that the luggage was filled with clothes. Always is. Rex laughed, but the Girl in white did not look amused.
"Do you have any idea of the damage she could've caused?" She asks in a snobby tone focusing her attention on Anakin.
"Uhh..." Was all he could say with a confused look. Thinking more on what to call this rich girl. Oh I got it.
The Ice Queen then proceeds to grab one of the bag's and opens it "This is Dust mined and purified from the Schnee Quarry."
"Uhh" Anakin says.
She grabs a vile from inside the bag before continuing "What are you brain dead!? Dust!" She then starts shaking the vile that apparently isn't tightened enough, as the 'Dust' gets thrown at them. "Fire, Water , Lightning, energy!" Ruby at this point looks like she's about to sneeze as Ice Queen continues "Are you even Listening to me? Is any of this sinking in? What do you have to say for yourself!?" As if it was a response Ruby sneezes causing an explosion. "Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!" She yells.
"I'm really, really sorry!" Ruby apolagizes.
"Ugh! You complete, dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?" Ice Queen states now focusing on Ruby.
"Hey that's no-" Anakin was interupted by the Ice Queen putting a hand in his face.
"This isn't your ordinary combat school." She berates with her glare set on Anakin now. "It's not just sparring and practicing you know. We're here to fight monsters!" She then turns her head back to Ruby. "So watch were your going!"
"Hey she said she was sorry, Princess!" Anakin defends stepping up to the Ice Queen.
"Its Heiress, actually." The group turns to see a girl dressed in black with a sword on her back, holding the vile from earlier. "Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world."
This seems to get the Ice Queen to smirk as she responds. "Finally, some recognition!"
"The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners." The mystery girl says earning a laugh from Rex and Ruby, but Anakin wasn't. Something in Anakin's mind began filling with anger.
Anakin looked to the new arrival who had just stood up for Ruby. A girl assumably 17 with long wavy black hair. She had a black ribbon bow on top, a black buttoned vest with coattails, and a white, sleeveless undershirt that exposes part of her midriff with white shorts. She wears black low-heeled boots and stockings that start off black at her hips, but gradually fade to purple as they near her shoes. He then looked back to Weiss and flashes started appearing in his mind.
Something was in his mind. He could feel it. They were showing him things. He saw People, humans with claws and tails locked in cages. People in a mine with the bare minimum for safety. A young man with bull horns being held down as someone branded him with the letters SDC. Then his mind went to his own memories of his time on Tatooine. His time as that little slave boy. That's when something in him snapped.
After being exposed, Weiss was angry to be sure but everyone stopped what they were doing when they felt the temperature drop. That's when Rex noticed Anakin clutching his head seemingly in pain.
"Anakin? Are you alright?" Rex asks.
He didn't get a response as Anakin's body turned to black smoke. When it began to clear they all heard what sounded like mechanical breathing. Then when the smoke was clear they saw a monster before them.
