"Take The Leap." Anakin said before running off to catch team RWBY. When he got there Blake and Weiss were arguing, and there was some new girl with ginger hair, a pink bow, and a tan outfit with green lines.
"How dare you talk to me like that! I am your teammate!" Weiss shouts
"You are a judgmental little girl." Blake retorts.
"What in the world makes you say that?"
"The mere fact that you would sort that Faunus boy with a terrorist group solely based on his species makes you just as much of a scoundrel as you believe him to be!"
"So you admit it! The White Fang is just a radical group of terrorists!"
"That's not what I meant, and you know it!"
"Should I stop them?" Anakin asks.
"I don't think you can." Ruby says dejectedly.
Yang slides up to Ruby, looking uncomfortable. "Um, I think we should probably go..."
The girl pops up behind Ruby, smiling. "Where are we going?" She asks.
After a bit Anakin said goodbye to the girls as they follow a still arguing Blake and Weiss. Anakin then decides to head to the dorm only to find no one there. The sun was already down so he went to the shower and got ready for bed.
Anakin was in a dark room. He couldn't see vary well but he could make out a desk . Anakin walks over and see that the desk was clear. Then he heard a door open. Anakin turned to see It shut quickly, a silhouette of a person in the darkness standing there watching. Anakin cautiously took a step closer as he could see their eyes glow a sickening golden yellow. To this he takes a step back and bumps into something metal. Quickly Anakin turns around to see it but he gets punched to a wall. the last thing Anakin could see is a crimson red saber blade igniting as the glowing eyed figure thrusts it into his chest.
Anakin shot up from his bed drenched in sweat. He took a look at the time to see that he had only slept for two hours. Sighing he gets up , and gets dressed again. He decides to go for a walk. His teammates haven't even come back yet so no problems there. Anakin heads out to the court yard only to see Blake. She takes off the bow letting her Faunus cat ears bask in the light of the shattered moon. Anakin walks over to her sensing her distress. Maybe I can help. He thought.
"You alright?" Anakin asks causing her to jump.
She turns to him and He can see the tears coming down from her eyes. "I'm, okay." She states as if trying to convince herself. Just then Anakin senses the presence of someone else.
"I knew you'd look better without the bow." Said the voice of a man.
Two days later Anakin and Blake were still missing. Anakin sent Rex a message on his scroll so Rex asked if Lilly could read it for him. Well looks like I need to step up on learning the written language here. Rex thought. The note told them that he was going to keep an eye on Blake. That's good news I guess.
Meanwhile Anakin, and Blake were at a cafe with the monkey Faunus from the boat. All of them got an order of tea. Blake sips her cup before sighing. She looks up to see The monkey tailed stowaway who they found out was named Sun.
"So, you want to know more about me..."
"Finally, she speaks! Nearly two days and you gave me nothing but small talk and weird looks!" Blake gives Sun a firm look. "Yeah, like that."
Blake rolls her eyes before closing them and looking at him sadly. "Sun... Anakin... Are you familiar with the White Fang?"Blake asks.
"Of course!" Sun starts. "I don't think there's a Faunus on who hasn't heard of them. Stupid, holier-than-thou creeps that use force to get whatever they want. Bunch of freaks, if you ask me!" Anakin gave him a firm look before saying his piece.
"Well," Anakin starts turning to Blake. "From what I know they were a group made to gain equal rights for Faunus, but now its a terrorist group."
Blake sips her drink until she speaks up. "I was once a member of the White Fang."
Sun promptly goes cross-eyed and chokes on his drink, making him put it down and wipe his mouth as he holds up a hand to process this information. Anakin on the other hand isn't as shocked, but rather interested. "Wait a minute, you were a member of the White Fang?!"
"Sun, could you keep it down." Anakin scolded. "Terrorist group now remember."
"Thank you Anakin." She says earning a nod from him before turning to face Sun again. "I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it... Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus. Of course, despite being promised equality,"
"Let me guess." Anakin interrupts. "My kind subjugated the Faunus with discrimination and hate."
"Yes. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice of our people. And I was there. I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott. I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just a youthful optimist. Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking." Blake frowns
Anakin sighs. "Get equality though fear instead of respect. Am I right?"
"Right again. Our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, hijacking cargo from companies that used Faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals. But not out of respect... out of fear. So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am: a criminal hiding in plain view, all with the help of a little black bow." With that she wiggles her cat ears beneath her bow to point it out.
"So... have you told your friends any of this? Well aside from him." Sun says pointing to Anakin.
She merely looks down in shame.
In another part of Vale Lilly, Crimson, and Rex were helping the rest of team RWBY as look for there member Blake.
"Blaaaake!" Ruby calls.
"Blaaaake!"Yang joins.
"Blaaaaaaaake! Where aaaare yoooouuuu!?" Lilly Joins
"Guuuuuys, you're not helping!" Ruby states gesturing to Crimson, Weiss, and Rex.
"Oh! You know what might be able to help? The police!" Weiss says to which Rex smacks her up side the head. "Hey!"
"Weiss, we should hear her side of the story before we jump to conclusions." Rex says before turning to Ruby. "And yelling the name of someone who doesn't want to be found isn't a way to get them to come running to you."
"But... Yeah your right." Ruby deflates.
"And I think that Weiss's hair looks wonderful today!" Cheers some strange ginger girl. Her sudden appearance made Rex draw his blasters as a reflex, but looking at them for a second he sighs holstering them.
"Aaaah! Penny! Where did you come from!?" Ruby screams.
Cheerfully ignoring the question she asks. "Hey guys! What are you up to?"
"We're looking for our friend Blake." Yang answers.
"Ooooh, you mean the Faunus girl!"
"Wait, how did you know that?"Ruby asks
"Uhh, the cat ears?" Penny states pointing to her head.
"What cat ears? She wears a... boooohhh..." Yang finally figures it out.
"Are you two serious?" Rex asks looking to Yang and Ruby.
"What?" They say in unison.
"I figured out she was a Faunus day one." Rex states. "I was just being respectful, but you guys? You live with her. How did that never cross your mind?"
The realization leaves them in silence as a tumbleweed blows through in the wind. Wait, what the sithing hell is a tumbleweed doing in the city? Rex thought though it is never answered or even brought up.
"She does like tuna a lot..." Ruby whispers to herself.
"So, where is she?"Penny asks.
"We don't know." Ruby starts. "She's been missing since Friday." She finishes earning a gasp from Penny.
"That's terrible!" Penny exclaims approaching an uncomfortable Ruby. "Well, don't you worry Ruby, my friend! I won't rest until we find your teammate!"
"Uh, that's really nice of you, Penny, but we're okay! Really! Right, guys?" Ruby asks, noticing Lilly, and Rex with a thumbs up while everyone else ditched them. Then A tumbleweed blows past them again in the silence.
"It sure is windy today!"Penny states.
"Wait, that's it?" I start. "Its windy today? How about, HOW IN THE HELL ARE TUMBLEWEEDS BLOWING DOWN THE CITY STREETS OF VALE?!"
Anakin, Blake, and Sun were walking down an ally in downtown Vale near the docks. "So, what's the plan now?"Sun asks
"I still don't believe the White Fang is behind these robberies." Blake answers. "They've never needed that much Dust before."
At that Sun widening his eyes looks like he came up with a plan. "What if they did?" He starts as he begins lowering his arms and pacing in front of Blake and Anakin as he continues his theory. "I mean... the only way to prove that they didn't do it, is to go to the place where they would most likely go to if they were to do it, and not find them there! Right?"
"That might just work." Anakin says. "Good work Sun."
"The only thing is, I've no idea where that would be." Blake says.
"Well, while I was on the ship," Sun starts. "I heard some guys talking about offloading a huge shipment of Dust coming in from Atlas."
"How big?" Anakin ask with a raised eyebrow.
"Huge. Big Schnee Company freighter."
"You're sure?" Anakin asks.
"Positive." He assures
"Well we got our lead." Blake says. After that the trio heads off to the location the shipment was going to be.
Back with Penny, Rex, Lilly, and Ruby. "So, Blake is your friend?" Penny asks earning a sigh from Ruby.
"Yes, Penny."
"But you're mad at her?"
"Yes. Well, I'm not. Weiss is."
"Is she friends with Blake?"
"Well, that's kind of up in the air right now..."
"But why?"Penny asks clearly not understanding earning another sigh from Ruby. Lilly and Rex are just kinda following them at this point.
"Well, you see, Blake might not be who we thought she was..." Ruby replies earning a gasp from Penny.
"Is she a man?"She asks worriedly. As soon as she did Rex bust out laughing while Lilly looks to be trying to hold in some laughs of her own. Ruby just rolls her eyes at the two before turning to Penny again.
"I don't know what she is. She didn't exactly talk to us before she decided to run off." Ruby states.
"I don't have a lot of friends, but if I did, I would want them to talk to me about things."
"Me too..." Ruby says gazing at the ground sadly.
Anakin, Blake, and Sun have been sitting on a rooftop overlooking the shipment of Schnee Dust containers. Currently its just Blake and Anakin as Sun left to get something leaving them to do the recon.
"So, after this... what are you going to do?" Anakin asks breaking the silence.
"I don't know." Was all she responded with.
"Well you cant push them away forever. You know there looking for you right?" Anakin asks earning a sigh.
"What do I tell them though?" She starts. "What if they don't see me as a person anymore?"
"Well look at me." Anakin states. "I'm human, but you don't see me judging you based on your race do you?"
"Yeah but-"
"No but's, you see how Ruby is. Do you really think she would see you any different?"
"Well what about Weiss and Yang?"
"First, Weiss is a stereotypical rich girl. Second Yang would likely think even higher of you. Besides if anyone bothers you about it you can always ask me for help."
"Really?"
"Really."
Just then Anakin sensed Sun's presence, but something... else, is nearby. something familiar.
"Did I miss anything?" Sun asks.
"Not really." Blake says. "They've offloaded the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there."
"Cool." He says as he holds out one of the green apples in his arms. "I stole you guys some food!"
"Do you always break the law without giving a second thought?" Blake asks. At this Sun was about to retort but Anakin put his hand up. This presence. Its getting stronger. Who ever it is can use the... wait the Force?
"We have a problem." Just as Anakin said this, the winds blows all around the trio, and they look up to see a Bullhead's searchlights flashing around for a landing spot, descending in the middle of the cargo containers and extending a ramp for a black hooded individual with a metallic fanged mask to come out of. Behind them is a someone in a dark brown cloak.
"Oh no..." Blake starts.
"Is that them?"Sun asks.
Blake begins staring at the bloody wolf on the back of the man's outfit "Yes... It's them." She confirms before looking to the cloaked guy. "But that one isn't normal."
"All right, grab the tow cables!" One of the White Fang members shouts.
"You really didn't think they were behind it, did you?" Sun asks.
"No. I think deep down I knew." She says staring sadly at the scene. "I just didn't want to be right." She closes her eyes in despair, only to open them suddenly when she hears a new voice gaining her attention.
"Hey! What's the holdup!?" The Angry Ginger yells. He was here as well walking beside the cloaked one. "We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, so why don't you animals try to pick up the pace?"
"This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a Human. Especially not one like that." She says as she stands up and unsheathes the katana of her weapon named Gambol Shroud before walking off the edge of the roof. Her Gambol Shroud is a pistol sword thing with a strong ribbon.
"Blake don't?!" Anakin whisper yells, but she didn't listen.
Blake falls to the ground in a crouch, then continues on to hide behind one of the containers, peeking around the corner to see the Angry Ginger berate a White Fang member holding a coil of rope. "No, you idiot! This isn't a leash!" The cloaked figure seems to be just standing there. As they are looking around, Blake suddenly appears behind the Angry Ginger with her blade at his throat. "What the- Oh, for f-" Ginger rolls his eyes when he's cut off by Blake mid-swear.
"Nobody move!" She demands. The cloaked figure doesn't even flinch at this and just stands there watching. No. Waiting. The White Fang soldiers ready their guns and equip their swords in response to her demands.
"Whoa! Take it easy there, little lady." Ginger says.
As the White Fang closes in on her, Blake uses her free hand to go for her bow and remove it, causing the ribbon to fall away as her Faunus ears are shown to the world.
"Brothers of the White Fang! Why are you aiding this scum?"She asks. The White Fang members lower their weapons a little at this development, unsure of what to do, when Ginger laughs. "Oh, kid, didn't you get the memo?"
"What are you talking about?"
"The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together!"
"Tell me what it is or I'll put an end to your little operation." Suddenly, the air is filled with more turbines blowing the wind wildly around the holdup.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation..."
Two more Bullheads are hovering above the heist, and as Blake watches in horror, Ginger smiles and manages to fire his cane at Blake's feet, resulting in a large explosion. As soon as it goes off Anakin jumps down into the center igniting his blue saber. The White fang soldiers aim there weapons at Anakin but the cloaked man lifts his hand stopping them.
"Well, Isn't this a surprise." No. Not him. "Its been a long time Skywalker." It cant be. Anakin looks to the cloaked man as he lifts his hood showing his face to him. The white hair, the beard, The brown clothing. The Voice of the one that started Anakin on his path of death. "Finally I shall have my revenge." He says as he Ignites his crimson red saber.
Anakin couldn't say anything but one word "Dooku..."
