Chapter 12

"Liv" Fitz gave a small shake to her sleeping body. "Livvie". He felt her squirm just a bit, but her eyes did not open.

The vibrating of her phone began about 2 minutes ago, and she was so wrapped up in Fitz's arms that he couldn't even move to check the display to see who it was. It was obviously very important for the caller to try to contact her at 230 in the morning.

A cool breeze came through the screens that they had left opened, being it was such a beautiful night at the lake house. Liv's body caught a chill from the refreshing breeze and with the shake from Fitz's hand, she put her head up.

Her cool hand gave a rub down to his chest and she smiled at him. "Hey Mister, what's going on?"

"I don't know but your phone has been nonstop buzzing for the last few minutes, I'm thinking it's something important." Fitz felt the emptiness as soon as her body turned to grab the phone.

The panicked look on her face and the rub back of her hair proved to Fitz he was right; something must be wrong. "What is it?" He took a hard swallow.

"My dad, I have 6 missed calls, no voicemail." She began to dial his number. The phone was ringing on the other end, Liv took a deep breath when Eli finally answered. "Dad, what's wrong?"

Fitz could only make out jumbled words coming out fast from the other end of the phone, and Liv's hand covered her mouth, turning her facial expression from panic to worry.

"Ok, ok, we'll be there in about a half hour." Liv looked at Fitz grab his phone to get Felix on the way to pick them up. "No, I'm not driving, neither is Fitz, his driver is on his way to get us. Tell her I'm on my way." Liv put the phone down and jumped out of the bed.

Talking as she was grabbing her clothes and getting them on, Fitz tried to keep up with what was going on. "Not much detail right now, but Abby is in the hospital with a head wound, and I'm pretty sure the baby is fine, but I couldn't really put two and two together."

In the blink of an eye, Liv was dressed, nothing fancy, her jeans and a shirt. She pulled her hair back, and as fast as Liv got dressed, Felix had the car pulling into the driveway already.

"Good thing I woke up, my dad was about to drive up here himself, that would've freaked us out huh?" Fitz noticed that Liv had been talking the whole time, not taking a breath and he realized she was coping with the news she received.

Grabbing her bag and heading towards the door, Fitz stopped her. His hands on her shoulders as she couldn't even look at him. Her head was down, and she shook her head. "She's fine, I'm sure she's fine and there's a perfectly good explanation for this."

"Liv, I need you to take a breath for me, your body is shaking." His one hand went from her shoulder to around her waist and he pulled her towards him. His arms now wrapped around her. "Calm down a moment, ok."

Liv leaned her forehead on to his chest. She bit her bottom lip. Trying desperately to stay positive, she nodded. "I'm ok." Finally, she looked up at him and gave him a weak smile. "I have you by my side."

"Which hospital is she at?" Fitz said opening the door for her motioning for Felix to stay put.

"County General." Then Liv realized Fitz lived on the side of town with the Medical Center, the state of the art medical center. "It's the one closest to the Garfield section." Liv shrugged, hoping Abby was getting the best care.

Suddenly she grew silent and turned to look at Fitz. He was glaring out the window watching the darkness amongst the trees and Liv grew the courage to say it. "Fitz, my dad said it happened at FTG."

His head turned towards her; his eyes confused. "If something happened at FTG, I'm sure I would have been called."

"I don't know, dad said she was at FTG."

Fitz pulled out his phone, nothing, no texts, no messages, nothing at all. He checked his calendar. "Does she know the Sampson family?"

"No, don't know anyone by that name, why?"

"That was the venue tonight. It was a bridal shower given by the Sampson family."

"Abby definitely wasn't at a bridal shower, no one we know is getting married."

Beginning to dial the phone, Fitz could feel the anger building up in him. His face feeling the heat. "Felix, damn it, there is not a soul on the road, no cars for miles, is there a reason you're doing 15 mph, for god's sake hit the gas."

It was the first time Felix heard him yell in over a month. Instead of answering back, in respect to Olivia, Felix pushed down a bit harder on the gas taking it a bit faster, no use in arguing with Fitz when he's in this mood.

"Fitz." Liv whispered. "It's not his fault, we'll find out the truth."

Fitz didn't' look at her. He couldn't, because somehow he felt responsible now for whatever happened to Abby. Justin was just as bad as Jeremy for not contacting him, and he would be out of a job just "AS SOON AS THIS LITTLE SHIT ANSWERS THE PHONE." Fitz was about to throw the phone down to the floor. He closed his eyes. He promised Olivia he would do better with his anger, and now look at him. He turned away from her.

Liv took the phone from him. She interlocked her fingers with his and rested her head on his shoulder. "Hey, come on, I need you now to be strong, ok. Don't get worked up." He looked down at her.

How could she be so calm, so understanding, so….not mad? Her best friend, her PREGNANT best friend is in the hospital, and someone is responsible. Fitz felt her warm lips on his and he caressed her face.

The gentleness of the kiss calmed him down for a moment, and when she rested her head back on his shoulder he took a deep breath. He would keep his cool, for now, for her sake.

Eli arrived at the hospital after getting a call from Leo. Abby had been at FTG speaking to Justin, Fitz's new assistant, and 911 had been called. That was all he had to go on for now, and he had nothing more to tell Olivia.

Eli was with Leo. They were in the waiting room of the ER. They were anxiously waiting for the doctor to come out when DC came through the door. "What the hell happened? Where's that little shit Justin? I'll kick his fucking…" He felt a strong grip on his shoulders.

"Don't you dare disrespect a hospital like this, you hear me boy. There are others here awaiting news that is dire to their lives. Where is your respect? Stop acting all high and tough, because you're not." Eli pushed him a bit and took a seat, rubbing down his face.

He knew if anything happened to Abby or the baby, or both, Olivia would be devastated. Not knowing much information, regardless, she should still be here. As his phone rang with her calling him back, he stood up as DC sat next to him.

Once Eli ended the call, Leo jumped up with the arrival of the doctor who motioned to him. "Sir, your fiancé is fine, your baby is fine. She has a slight concussion, a few stitches, and we will be keeping her for two nights as a precaution. She is in and out of consciousness, so it's better you don't upset her in any way." Leo was nodding his head.

"Where is she now?" Eli asked, a bit more relieved than a minute ago.

"She's being moved to a private room on the third floor. As soon as she's settled in, you may go see her." He looked at DC. "Only two at a time upstairs."

"That's fine, doctor, DC was just leaving." Eli said as he gave Leo a pat on the shoulder.

"But I think I should…" DC tried to cut in.

"Go home. That's what's best." Leo said to him, agreeing with Eli. Abby had told him how weird DC was acting lately. "You sure you had nothing to do with this."

DC backed up with an angered look on his face. "The fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"Well, you have been seen chatting it up nicely with Raquel Falcon, and Abby was a bit concerned with that and the rumors coming out about Fitz, maybe you know more than you're letting on." Leo turned to see the nurse call him over.

DC felt Eli's cold stare on him. He turned to the man he loved as a father and took a hard swallow. "I swear Eli, I had nothing to do with this. I…."

"DC, Olivia is happy. Happier than the whole time she was with Ethan. I have seen it with my own eyes. Her and Fitz should be walking through those doors soon, I think it's best you leave."

"At least let me stay to talk to her, tell her what room Abby is in so when she comes…."

"I don't have time to deal with you. I am going up to see Abby, leave, before there's trouble, and this is not the place you want trouble, because trust me, I will defend Fitz on this."

Eli joined Leo in walking away with the nurse and towards the elevators. DC was left standing alone and he looked around. He pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"You said nothing was going to happen, that Bradley was just going to talk to Justin, what the fuck did you do? Fitz thinks you're in Arizona, now what when he hears you're behind all this?"

"Calm the fuck down little man, how's the pregnant girl?" Jeremy looked over at Raquel, they had just finished some love making. Her payback for getting Bradley to go to FTG, just Abby being there was a wrench they didn't bargain for.

"None of your damn business." DC ended the call. If Liv ever found out he was involved it would be a disaster. After he met that reporter outside of FTG and collected his $200, he sped away. Now, he should have stayed. He would have seen Abby and this all could have been avoided.

Felix pulled up to the hospital right in front of the ER entrance. Fitz took Liv's hand. "I'm not going in, I'm going to FTG. I can't get a hold of Justin and I'm concerned. I'm angry, but I'm more concerned. Just call me and let me know anything you find out."

Liv looked teary eyed at him and put her head down. "I wish you would come in with me." She looked back up, "but I respect what you need to do. Please, Fitz, no violence."

Without saying a word, he opened the door and put his hand out to lead her out. Before he had time to get back into the car, she wrapped her arms around him.

"I want you to know I don't believe anything they're saying about you and Felicia. I believe you and I know you would never do something like that." She squeezed a bit harder. She wanted him to know how much she believed in him.

His forehead rested on the top of her head, and he wrapped her in his arms. She looked up at him as they kissed in front of the well lighted ER. The windows clear enough for everyone inside to see what was going on outside, especially DC who was in the shadows ending his phone call.

As they finished their passionate kiss, Liv bit her bottom lip and whispered, "I love you Fitzgerald Grant."

He smiled back at her and got into the car. It was hard enough to face her knowing he couldn't keep his promise that it wasn't going to get violent. He wanted to punch someone so badly right now, his face was burning. "Keep me updated." Liv watched as the car pulled away and she turned towards the entrance.

Not realizing DC was right behind her, she nearly fell, and he caught her. "Whoa, easy, I didn't think you would turn around that fast." Liv looked at him not knowing what to say to him for the first time in years. "Where's Abby?"

Before he could answer, her phone rang, and Liv picked up her father's call. "Are you here yet?" Liv looked up at DC and walked away.

"Yes, in the ER."

"Come up to room 324. Abby is here, she's awake, on and off, the baby is fine, she is fine. Once you come up I'm going to Emmie's. She is worried sick about Abby."

Olivia walked back towards the lobby and DC tried to keep up with her. "Hey, Liv, Liv come on don't be like this."

"Did you have any hand in this?" Liv stopped just to ask the question.

"Liv why would I do anything to hurt Abby?"

"Not directly, but did you have anything to do with this?" Liv asked again.

"No, my God, what has hanging around with Fitz done to you?" DC looked at where Liv was looking.

His hand, his fingers were wrapped around her bicep, and he squeezed as he asked the question and he saw Liv's face cringe in a bit of pain.

"Let go of me." She pulled her arm out of his grip. "What has gotten into you?" Liv rubbed her arm with her other hand.

"I'm sorry, I just." DC was looking into her eyes. He saw hurt, he saw anger, and he couldn't help himself.

His face lunged forward, and his lips almost found hers, as Liv pulled back pushing him back away from her, and her hand went back to smack him, but it was stopped in mid air.

"Baby Girl, you go upstairs, go with Abby. I'll handle this." Liv looked up at her father. He nodded to the waiting room of people watching. "This is not the place."

Liv's arms went around him as she blinked back tears. "I'm sorry, daddy."

He rubbed the back of his little girl staring coldly at DC. "Nothing to be sorry about, go with Abby, she needs you now." He kissed her cheek and watched her get on the elevators, clearly shaken up.

Fitz's mind was racing, thought after thought of what his priority should be. The beads of sweat becoming evident on his forehead as he thought about how to go about all of this. The first thing was to clear his name in the rumored pregnancy/abortion issue with Felicia, setting things straight with the media.

How was he going to react to seeing Justin? First up, he was fired, he would worry about a replacement later. It may mean less time with Olivia, but her book was at the forefront, and he was sure her schedule would be filling up. Now may be a good time to reorganize his employees.

The first phone call was one he should've made the other night, but he thought this would die down. "Sir." Fitz said nervously, "you know the truth and my name is being dragged through the media. I've lost your business with your daughter's wedding going to Ballard, can you at least help me in clearing my name?"

"You have quite a pair calling me young man." Mr. Danforth, Felicia's father was on the other end. "Are you aware of what time it is?"

"I am sir, and I wouldn't be calling, but a friend of mine was hurt today. She is pregnant, far along, and she is in the hospital. I somehow think this has something to do with the false rumors going around about me."

Danforth looked over at his sleeping wife and stood up to continue speaking. "What can I do for you? This is only out of respect for your father, without him we wouldn't have the houses we have, Fiona wouldn't have found her dream home with the man she is marrying."

"Please just make a statement to the media that it wasn't me, I was not involved in what happened with Felicia. I am sorry it did happen. Jeremy, my assistant at the time it was all him, as you know. He covered it up. I never would have…"

"Ok, I hear you. I will reach out to my team, and they will release a statement within the hour clearing your name. It should hit the early news airing in about an hour. But, I am going to say it was someone on your staff." Danforth looked out his window, media cameras still set up outside at 4 am in the morning. Fitz was right, this had to stop.

"Thank you, I understand. Jeremy is no longer with me, and I am going to revamp my hiring of my employees. I want to assure you had I known about this, I never would have let it happen."

Danforth nodded. Fitz was the best at running banquet halls and Danforth wasn't happy with Ballard and his struggles to get his daughter Fiona to have the perfect wedding day. Maybe he shouldn't have been so much in haste to change the venue but changing it back again would be a PR disaster.

"Well, let's see what the statement does to clear you. I am also sorry to see your father go. He's one damn good realtor, the best in the business."

"Go? Go where?"

"Haven't you spoken to him? Falcon called me a few hours ago, your father is retiring. I guess we are all losing out because of this mishap with the media. I hope whoever leaked these lies gets payback soon. There's nothing I wouldn't do for my daughters, and I am not happy her personal life is being exposed. Good luck to you, son." Danforth ended the call.

Fitz looked at the time. He wondered how Abby was doing, how Liv was doing. He tapped the phone to his forehead thinking if he should call her or not. He thought against it, and finally arrived at the darkened FTG hall.

Felix waited watching him in the rearview. Fitz took a deep breath. "Felix, I am."

"Sir, no need to explain. What can I do for you?" Felix was nervous about what Fitz would do to the people responsible for this whole mess.

"Go to the hospital, wait for Liv, I don't want her getting an Uber or anyone else that's worrying about Abby have to drive her around. Do you mind waiting for her and taking her home?"

"Not at all, Sir, but what about you?"

Fitz pointed over to the back. "My car is here, I'll be fine, just please don't let her get in any car but this one, her father also if he is still there."

Walking into his dark office, Fitz noticed a bit of a mess, probably from the EMT's working on Abby. He walked passed his desk and saw the swivel chair turn. By the streetlights glaring in, giving some light, Justin was solemn in the chair, his hands interlocked and his chin resting on them.

"I swear boss, I had nothing to do with this. Bradley, the reporter, he just came in and Abby was here, and it all happened so fast. I just didn't know what to do. Then the police asked questions, but I just said Abby fell, and there was blood, and I just panicked." The boy looked like he'd been crying for hours.

Fitz had no remorse, nothing, his body just numb. He closed his eyes, saw the panic in Liv's eyes as she took that phone call. He picked Justin up by his shirt, lifting him off his feet. "YOU ARE SO FUCKING FIRED." He let him go.

"Fitz, just please, listen. Abby saw Bradley, and knocked his camera out of his hand, he thought she was a pregnant woman trying to expose you, and Abby just…"

"Abby was more man than you I can see. GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY OFFICE!" Fitz was two seconds away from punching him.

Justin turned to walk away. Jeremy was right, he wasn't cut out for this job. Turning back to Fitz he said one more thing to try to salvage his job. "If it's any help, Jeremy was involved in the whole thing. He set Bradley up to come here looking for information. Raquel is playing behind the scenes." Justin walked out, never looking back.

Fitz pushed all the papers and whatever else was on his desk onto the floor. He was so sick of these people controlling his life and he was putting an end to it in the next few hours. Once the news comes out about the reports being wrong, that's it. He only hoped his temper would stay in check.

Olivia was holding Abby's hand sitting next to her bed. Leo was in the chair behind Liv sleeping with his head being held up by his fist. Liv couldn't even think of closing her eyes. She kept looking at the cut on Abby's head, stitched up, and she wanted to cry.

"Abs, I'm here, and I'll be here for as long you need me to be." She gave her hand a gentle kiss and Abby's eyes blinked opened. Her head turned to see Leo in the chair, and she closed them again.

Feeling a squeeze on her hand her eyes opened back up again. There was Liv. She smiled, a weakened smile, but her best friend forever was there. "Hey." Her raspy voice came through. "I guess I'm alive?"

Liv's forehead went down to Abby's hand as she smiled. "Yep, alive and well, not going anywhere soon." Liv's other hand went to Abby's belly. "My goddaughter says you are to never worry me again like this." Liv paused. "Do you remember what happened?"

Abby closed her eyes again. "So, the baby is alright, she's ok?"

"Dr says she's fine, kicking and ready to meet me. Apparently the doctor heard her say that during the ultrasound, that she's ready to meet Aunt Liv, clear as day." Liv smiled because she saw Abby smile.

"Some freak was in Fitz's office at FTG." Abby was speaking slowly. Her head turned and her eyes went to Liv. "Said something about me being another pregnant chick knocked up by Fitz and keeping it under wraps." She stopped, trying to think.

"Abby, if it's too much you don't have to go on." Liv didn't want to upset her.

"No, it's fine. He took out a camera, maybe a cell, I'm not sure, and I knocked it out of his hands. The asshole pushed me down and the side of my head." Abby stopped her hand going to the hurt area.

Liv stopped her. "No, no, there are six stitches there, don't touch."

Abby nodded. "As I was going down all I heard was Justin say Bradley what the fuck did you do?" Abby shrugged. "That's all I got officer." Abby smirked and closed her eyes again to rest.

"Shit." Liv whispered. Her and Fitz were just talking about Bradley and how much Fitz hates him. Liv looked nervously at Leo, who was still sleeping. Liv didn't have to the heart to wake him and she wouldn't leave Abby alone.

She looked over at her phone on the table. "Calling Fitz would not be a good idea." Liv whispered to herself. When he finds out it was Bradley, Liv stopped her thoughts. "No, he said no more violence." Liv had to believe him.

Abby had fallen back asleep, and the room was eerily quiet. Why was Abby at FTG? She never did say that. Was Bradley there being bold as to get into Fitz's face? This had to all be leading from the rumor started by Raquel in the first place about Danforth's daughter.

"All the lies and someone gets hurt, luckily not killed. Crazy damn rich people." Liv rested her head on the bed, never letting Abby's hand go and she drifted into a brief sleep.

Fitz knew he shouldn't have, but he couldn't help himself. He wanted Bradley, Jeremy, and Raquel out of his life for good. He looked down at his phone, a bit hesitant, and dialed the number on display.

"Aww, little Fitz calling to say his hood love left him?" Jeremy began laughing at the other end.

"Where's Bradley?" Fitz ignored the crap Jeremy was saying. He heard some whispering and Raquel took the phone.

"Fitz, I heard about Olivia's friend, is she ok?" Raquel shrugged at Jeremy knowing she wasn't being sincere at all.

"Look, I just want to talk to Bradley ok. Is he with you or at the studio?"

"Did Olivia finally give up on you? I mean after all it is her fault her best friend is lying in a hospital bed. If you come over, I can make you forget her quickly." Raquel ignored Fitz's question.

"I know you and Jeremy were involved. I am going to pay off Bradley to leave your names out of it, ok, I need to just put an end to this Raquel. At some point in your life, you have to grow up. Stop living in the shadows of your father." Fitz stopped.

"Your name is being dragged all around the Hills, Fitz. Talk going around about impregnating Danforth's daughter. Do you know how powerful that man is? Anyway, that being said…"

"Danforth is releasing a statement as we speak. Don't believe me, turn on the news yourself. Your little lie is being exposed and Jeremy there better leave town, because when I get questioned what staff member it was, I'm not holding back."

Jeremy's head turned so fast, looking at Raquel, his mouth ajar. "Fitz, whatever you say. You want to speak to this Bradley person, go on, but I'm not helping you."

"He's going to talk, going to tell me everything you've been involved with, and you know what's going to happen. After that little boy toy of yours goes down, you're next. This will be something Daddy won't help you with. My father is no longer his employee, and you have nothing." Fitz shrugged. "Don't give me Bradley, I'll find him. In the meantime, you turn on the news. Enjoy watching your life go down. Oh, and Jeremy, hoped you enjoyed your last fuck with her." Fitz hung up, not waiting for a response.

"WHAT THE FUCK RAQUEL?" Jeremy clicked on the news about to come on in five minutes.

"Kill him." Raquel pulled the comforter up to her shoulders and turned to sleep.

"Fitz? I'm not killing Fitz." Jeremy protested.

Taking a deep sigh, having to deal with such inadequacy, Raquel sighed. "Not Fitz, you moron, Bradley, kill him. If Fitz can't talk to him, he can't babble on us. I'll deal with Fitz and my father will take care of everything. Now, go on. And turn the damn TV off, it's bothering me." Raquel closed her eyes as the report of what was being said about Fitz was all a false, sick rumor.

"Liv." Leo had been uncomfortable in the chair and woke up to find Liv looking just as uncomfortable with her head resting on the bed.

Liv jumped up. "Hey, Leo, everything ok?" Liv looked around a bit confused for the moment.

"Yeah, all good. I went to get coffee; I saw the news on." He clicked the remote and the screen brightened the room. There on the news was Danforth standing in front of a few reporters outside his home.

"My family's privacy has been violated and I need to put a stop to this. Yes, I did switch Fiona's wedding from a Fitzgerald Grant Hall to a Ballard Hall. One of Mr. Grant's staff members had a relationship with my daughter, Felicia. Felicia has since had some troubling times because of that. Mr. Grant was unaware of it all, and the employee has since been terminated. I appreciate Mr. Grant's haste in doing so, and I would like you all to respect my family's privacy at this time as we prepare for Fiona's wedding. Thank you."

Liv took a sigh of relief, covering her mouth smiling from ear to ear. She looked over at Abby, still sleeping and back to Leo. "Do you mind if I…"

"Go, it's fine, I am sure he is worrying about you also." He pulled Liv in for a hug. "Thank you for staying with her."

"Anything for her and for you." Liv hugged him back.

"What about a ride?" Leo asked as she was walking away.

"I'll call dad downstairs. He'll send someone." Liv walked quickly out the door, she wanted to get to Fitz as soon as she could.

As she got to the lobby, she was just about to make the phone call, when she spotted Felix in the waiting room. He stood up when he saw her.

"Mr. Fitz said to wait for you, to take you wherever you need to go." Felix tilted his head down to her.

"Can you take me to his place?" Liv asked.

Felix smiled. "My pleasure, Ms. Pope."

Liv called her father to assure him Abby was fine, and he was free to visit at any time today. She told him about going to meet Fitz to celebrate the news with him. She stopped shy of saying anything about DC.

"Baby Girl, no contact with DC, you hear me." Eli said as if reading her mind.

"Dad, what is going on with him?" Liv asked, more concerned than angry.

"I'll get to the bottom of it, but no contact you hear me?"

"Do you think he was involved?"

Eli didn't answer. "I love you Olivia, call me later."

"Love you too." The no answer was a yes. She knew her father too well. She couldn't think about that now, she just wanted to be with Fitz after the night she had.

The ice wasn't doing much for his left hand, his knuckles still red. One, the one above his ring finger, was split open. That was where the blow hit Bradley directly on his cheek bone. As much as it split Fitz's hand, it split Bradley's face more.

While the blood was coming out of there and his nose that Fitz was sure he broke on the first punch, Bradley confessed. Told him all about giving DC money that Raquel had given him. Told him about trying to intimidate Justin to get him to say the lie why the venue was moved.

Even though Jeremy was in charge of it all, Raquel was calling all the shots. She was making sure each character had a role in bringing him down. Fitz looked down at the sorry ass guy and shook his head in shame.

"All this for what? You think she's going to only sleep with you? She was in bed with Jeremy when I called her before." Fitz picked him up by his shirt and was face to bloody face with him. "Newsflash, Raquel is a slut, you're just one of her stupid pawns."

That's when Fitz didn't see it coming. He thought Bradley was too weak, but the dude still had juice in him, and he gave Fitz a strong punch right onto his left cheek. Fitz dropped Bradley back to the ground and turned and walked out, leaving Bradley groaning in pain.

Fitz was holding the ice pack to his hand then to his face. He looked in the mirror, his face wasn't bleeding, but it was going to bruise nicely. "So much for no violence, Fitz." He slapped the mirror, disgusted with himself.

He couldn't take not hearing her voice, not seeing her, and he wondered if Abby was alright. He took a deep breath and went to get his phone when the knock on the door surprised him.

"If this is a fucking reporter." He swung the door open to see her glistening eyes looking at him. Her happiness turned to worry, and he saw the change on her face.

"Fitz, your face." She looked down. "Your hand is bleeding." Her hand reached for his face to rub his cheekbone, and he gently held it there, closing the door.

"I fucked up, Liv, I'm sorry. I saw the guy who did this to Abby and I, well I can't keep promises." He looked away as she pulled him back, giving him a kiss, a long kiss and hugged him tightly.

Helping him clean up his hand and bandage it, she applied the ice again to his cheek as he was sitting on the bed, and he jumped with the cold hitting his skin. His eyes closed and without opening them he asked, "How is Abby?"

"She's fine, the baby is fine. She needs her rest. Six stitches on her temple, but that's the worst of it. I heard the report from Danforth, your name is cleared." She looked at him as his eyes opened again. Taking ice pack off, she replaced it with her warm lips and Fitz's whole body responded, pulling her down to the bed with hm.

They were lying face to face, Fitz leaning in for a kiss but stopped. "You're not upset with me?"

"For what? Defending my best friend? No, I'm not upset with you. I am happy for you, your name is cleared, you can finally rid yourself of those assholes." She leaned in now, and they were kissing, tongues touching, hands moving, and in a flash they were naked.

"I need you so much right now, Fitz. I couldn't wait to come to you, to feel your arms around me." His lips went to her neck, and Liv's eyes closed, rubbing his hair. His lips went back up and connected again to hers, and Liv turned her body, going to her knees.

"I want you inside me Fitz, hard, deep, I want to feel you from behind." Liv began to breathe heavy as he reached over to his drawer and pulled out a condom. His cock was so hard, it was throbbing.

The throbbing was causing his hand to shake, as Liv finally helped him get the condom on. He looked at her, their eyes connecting, and they both knew in that moment how the need for each other was suffocating them.

His lips connected to her neck from behind, as he savored his cock rubbing around her clit, slipping around from all her juices. His mouth opened as deep breaths came out. His lips aligned with her ear, and he deep whispered, "Ready for me?"

Liv's fingers were playing with her hardened nipples, her tongue licking her lips, and before Fitz could give one thrust, his words caused her body to weaken, coming before he even got in her.

"That's it baby, coming for me already. I love multiple orgasms." His hand used her shoulder for leverage as his first thrust put him inside her deep, and the moan she let out was the sweetest sound he had heard.

Finding the strength she didn't know she had, Liv pulled her body up straight and Fitz's bandaged hand went to her breasts, across her chest as his hand cupped her right one, his mouth between where her shoulder ends and her neck begins.

Fitz's body was thrusting up, causing her breast to bounce as he held them in place and Liv felt her body lose control again. Putting her hand behind her around the back of his neck she held on through her second orgasm as she felt him so deep inside her.

Letting her body fall back down to the bed, he turned her around, her eyes closed, her breathing so deep and heavy, and he couldn't hold on anymore.

In a matter of seconds, his still rock hard erection was back where it belonged inside her, and he lost the control he had as his fluid filled the condom and his head rested on her chest.

The quiet room was interrupted by the heavy breathing they were both doing as their bodies came down from the love making. Fitz's chin rested on Liv's chest as she rubbed his hair, calming her body.

Fitz got out of bed and took out one of his shirts. "Here, put this on, I'll be right back."

Liv put the shirt to her nose, closing her eyes, smelling him. He's wasn't getting that shirt back, ever. She smiled as it went around her, almost reaching her knees. When Fitz returned in his boxers, she let him lay first.

He gobbled her up in his arms. Liv looked at him, his left cheek beginning to swell a bit. She gave it a rub and said, "I hope the other guy looks worse."

"Oh, much worse, I'm sure of it." Fitz grew quiet. "It was that fucker Bradley. He's messed around for the last time." Liv heard him and wrapped her body up closer.

Feeling her eyes close against his chest, she took a deep breath. "This is such a mess."

"It is", Fitz agreed, "but it will be ending soon. I don't want you worrying about it. I just want Abby to be ok, and for you to focus on your book, ok." He kissed her head. "You look exhausted, how much sleep did you get tonight?"

"None, really, not much at all." Her eyes were growing heavy. "I needed to be here, in your arms. I just had to be with you. This feeling, I never want to be away. Thank you so much for sending Felix, because I've never been here and I couldn't go home without seeing you."

Fitz's heart began to pound. Even knowing he fucked up, beating Bradley up, she still was here with him, comforting him, and he pulled her closer. "Rest, please, Olivia, I'm not going anywhere."

Liv nodded, already falling asleep. Her one hand caressing his sore face, and her other wrapped tightly around him. The warmth she felt in his arms lulled her to a peaceful sleep, one she needed to bring her body back to life.

Fitz was about to join her in sleep when his phone buzzed on the night stand. His father was calling, but Fitz didn't want to wake Olivia up. He texted him back. "Can't answer, what's up?"

"Bradley Barret is dead, Fitz." The text came through and it froze Fitz's body.

"The police were just here looking for you. There's a warrant out for your arrest as the main suspect. I am on my way over to the precinct with our lawyer."

Fitz's heart was pounding out of his chest now. The woman he loved with all his heart, if he had a heart, soundly sleeping in the comfort of his arms. He didn't want to let her go, but he had to. He wasn't going to let her see him get arrested. How was he going to shield her from this? Fitz closed his eyes.

Even if it was just for five minutes he wanted every second of those five minutes used to hold Olivia, to watch her sleep, and to hope this wasn't the last time she would ever be with him. Who would blame her for leaving, this had gone too far.

The five minutes felt more like five seconds when the pounding on the door was loud enough to bolt Liv out of her sleep. She looked at Fitz, worry down her whole face and fear in her eyes. "POLICE, MR. GRANT, OPEN THE DOOR. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST FOR THE MURDER OF BRADLEY BARRET"

Liv backed away from him, not knowing what to believe. He said Bradley was in much worse condition than him. Did that mean Bradley was dead? Liv's eyes opened wider now. "Fitz, what exactly did you do to him?"

Without giving her the answer she deserved, and to not put her through any more of what she's been through, Fitz walked willingly to the door. His head down as he stepped out.

The last sight Olivia had of him was being led into the police car. She didn't feel the tears as they fell down her cheeks, her body numb, and her emotions just a whirlwind. Was the man she had fallen so deeply in love with capable of murder?

As the police car rolled away, Liv noticed the Audi SQ8 pull into the driveway. The driver's side window down and Liv got a glimpse of a smirking Raquel. Her sunglasses went down below the bridge of her nose and she peered out from above them. Looking at Liv up and down, knowing she was wearing Fitz's shirt, she gave a sighing laugh.

"Let's see you stand by your man now while he's in a jail cell." She flicked a cigarette butt out to the concrete, blew smoke into the air, and full on sped away, her tires screeching as she turned the corner.
