Admiral Thrawn waits in his office, siting at his desk aboard his ship as an officer approaches. The office was surrounded by various art pieces from numerous different places on Remnant. Thrawn looks to the officer with interest and watches the man stop in front of his desk.
"Sir." The officer says with a salute. "Professor Ozpin has sent this sir." The officer offers a set of documents.
Thrawn takes the documents with care, and nods to the officer. "Thank you lieutenant. You may leave." Thrawn says.
The officer nods and takes his leave. Thrawn looks over the documents of Crimson Vrudas' file with interest reading everything. However his gaze stops when he reads one specific section.
Semblance: Puppet Master.
Thrawn reads the details of the Semblance that was on the file, his eyes widening slightly as he does so. Once he finishes, he lays the file down on the desk before reaching over to his Scroll and calling the Beacon Headmaster. After two rings, Ozpin answers.
"Hello Admiral. I take it you received the files you requested." Ozpin says.
"Indeed." Thrawn responds. "I found them quite... enlightening."
"Good. Is there something I can do to aid you further with your investigation?" Ozpin asks.
"Yes I believe there is." Thrawn says. "I wanted to know if you hold records of when your students come and go from your Academy."
"I do." Ozpin confirms.
Thrawn smiles. "Excellent. If I'm correct, I believe I've found our third party."
Maul sits on the bed to the bedroom within the warehouse. On the bed fast asleep was Cinder. Her robotic hand was on the nightstand, and the stump where her hand had been was being hugged by her other arm as she lays on her side. Maul could sense that she was having another nightmare, and gently brushed a stray hair away from her face. A soft cough catches Maul's attention, but Cinder doesn't stir. In the doorway was Savage. Savage closes the door softly as he enters, a look of concern on his face.
"Brother." Savage says in a hushed tone. "I feel the being of hunger getting stronger."
Maul nods agreement. "Yes... I feel it too." Maul stands and gives Cinder one last glance before exiting the room with Savage. As they walk Maul could sense Dooku waiting for them in another room. Soon the brothers meet with Dooku and see the grim expression on his face.
"The Dark Presence is making their move." Dooku says.
Crimson and Penny walk down the dark street with the shattered moon illuminating their figures in the darkness. The two stop in front of a shop, and enter. Inside numerous eyes glow slightly in the dark waiting for them. One figure steps forward holding a black outfit that was folded in one hand and a red cloak in the other. The figure holding it had gaunt features, and a scorched hole in their chest. The figure was of the young man named Mercury Black.
Crimson grabs the robes and cloak before walking with Penny to the back of the room, and enter a room. Penny happily helps Crimson change into the new outfit within the room, and opens up her backpack where her weapons were usually stored. Crimson reaches into the backpack, and pulls out the silver handle to his lightsaber. His green eye gleam with excitement as he turns and ignites the crimson red blade.
Penny closes her backpack before coming to Crimson's side hugging him gently, and laying her head on his shoulder while her bright glowing red eyes look at the blade with a smile.
"Is it time my love?" Penny asks.
Crimson turns his green eyes to her. "Yes Penny my dear. Today I am reborn. Crimson Vrudas is gone. Rance Lussk has returned." He says with a large sadistic smile.
Penny giggles, her voice distorting and cracking as she does so before it normalizes. "The whole world will get to experience your miracle." Penny says.
The man formerly known as Crimson smiles. "Yes. The whole world shall know. I'll have a loyal immortal army, and I'll have achieved what Darth Scabrous could not." Rance Lussk says with passion.
Penny nods. "You will achieve Immortality yourself, and we'll be together forever."
Rance Lussk looks to Penny with a kind looking smile. "Of course my dear. And once we rule this world, we can do anything we want."
Anakin frowns looking from the deck of the boat out to the sea. Blake had gone back to their cabin to get some sleep, but Anakin chose to stay on the deck for a little longer. He could sense a presence in the Force. Anakin knew that it wasn't truly the same. The Force here was very different, and he felt that it was as different as if comparing swimming in a still pond as opposed to swimming up stream in a river. Connecting with the Force here was exceedingly difficult at times for Anakin. He knew that it was likely due to his short time and experience with the changes, but it still annoyed him. The Presence he sensed though concerned him. He wasn't exactly sure where it was coming from, but he could sense it's anticipation, it's glee, it's hunger.
"You wouldn't be weak if you would just accept what you are." The Dark Voice says, returning once again. Anakin glares at the water trying to ignore the Dark Voice. "You can't get rid of me Skywalker. Accept it. Accept that I am your true self."
Anakin closes his eyes. "No, I am stronger without you. I am better without you."
"You are a traitor to who you truly are." The Dark Voice says. "Have you forgotten what we did it all for? Who we forged an Empire to save?"
"I haven't forgotten." Anakin says. "Padmé told me to move on. So that is what I'm doing."
"What you are doing, or what you are trying to do?"
Anakin couldn't answer the Dark Voice on that question. Anakin could feel his confidence in his choices slipping, but he shakes his head. "I have to." Anakin says firmly. "It's what she wanted for me. She wanted me to have a life here, and I will achieve that even if you won't accept that."
Anakin could feel the anger from the Dark Voice in his mind, but it said nothing in response. Soon it faded from his mind, and Anakin opens his eyes. He sensed someone watching him and looked over to see the Captain of the ship leaning against the railing.
The Captain was looking at him with interest. "You a telepath?" The Captain asks.
Anakin shrugs. "Sort of. There's more to it than simply telepathy." Anakin answers vaguely.
The Captain shrugs accepting the information. "Bad conversation?" The Captain says curiously.
Anakin looks away. "You could say that."
The Captain chuckles. "I apologize, I don't mean to pry. Just thought it was interesting that you be up here by your lonesome. That girl of yours go to bed?"
Anakin nods. "It was getting cold, and late."
"Yeah I suppose it is." The Captain agrees. "Well it's obvious you want to be left alone. I'll get out of your hair." The Captain says. Anakin nods in response and the Captain leaves Anakin to his musings. After a few moments Anakin decides that he's had enough of the cold salty sea air, and returns to the cabin he shares with Blake.
When he got there, Blake was fast asleep in bed with the covers over her. Anakin quickly changes into his nightwear and climbs into bed next to her. He smiles lightly when Blake rolls over, her head laying onto his chest, and her cat ears twitching slightly. Anakin holds her close as he closes his eyes, and slowly drifts off to sleep.
Rex and Lilly are led to a table for two within the elegant restaurant. When they took their seats, Rex pats his suit slightly, making sure his blasters were still there hidden in his tux. Lilly raises her eyebrow at him in accusation. Rex chuckles shrugging.
"Sorry, I like being prepared." Rex admits.
Lilly gives a soft giggle before stopping and frowning. She could feel something in her mind. A feeling that was both foreign and familiar. Then she could feel something Dark and unfamiliar.
"Lilly?"
Lilly blinks, hearing Rex's voice interrupting her thoughts. She looks back to Rex. "Huh?"
"Are you alright?" Rex asks. "You look like you spaced out."
"Oh, yes I'm fine." Lilly says. "Sorry."
Rex shrugs. "Nothing to worry about." Rex assures. "So what would you like to eat?" Rex asks looking at his menu. Lilly does the same in turn.
